1The efficacy and safety of nimodipine in acute ischemic stroke patients with mild cognitive impairment: a double-blind, randomized,placebo-controlled trial显示文摘Nimodipine might be effective in subcortical vascular dementia(VaD). Its benefit in preventing further cognitive decline in patients with acute ischemic stroke(AIS) and vascular mild cognitive impairment(VaMCI) remains to be established. In this multicenter, double-blind trial, we randomly assigned 654 eligible patients to nimodipine 30 mg three times a day or placebo. The primary outcome was any cognitive decline defined by the changes on the Mini-Mental State Examination(DMMSE à3) or vascular AD assessment scale cognitive subscale(DADAS-cog ! 4) at 6 months. Secondary outcomes included any distribution shift of DADAS-cog, DMMSE or cognitive improvement defined by DADAS-cog à2, or DMMSE ! 0. The primary outcome in the nimodipine group and placebo group were similar for DMMSE à3(4.18% and 7.22%, respectively, P = 0.15) and DADAS-cog ! 4(8.36% and 8.93% respectively,P = 0.88). The distribution shift of DADAS-cog and DMMSE differed significantly between the two groups(P = 0.03 and P = 0.05 respectively). Cognitive improvement occurred in 55.4% in the nimodipine group and 43.6% in the placebo group measured by DADAS-cog à2(Odds Ratio, 1.54; 95% confidence interval[CI] 1.10–2.14, P < 0.01) or 84.0% and 74.6% respectively by DMMSE ! 0(Odds Ratio, 1.79; 95% CI 1.18–2.70, P < 0.01). Nimodipine was associated with better cognitive function in the memory domain. The adverse events rate was similar in two groups. This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov,NCT01220622. 2Correlation between cold and hot pattern in traditional Chinese medicine and gene expression profiles in rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘Clinical manifestations of rheumatoid arthritis(RA)are diversified,and based on the manifestations,the patients with RA could be classified into different patterns under traditional Chinese medicine.These patterns decide the selection of herbal prescription,and thus they can help find a subset of rheumatoid arthritis patients for a type of therapy.In the present study,we combine genome-wide expression analysis with methods of systems biology to identify the functional gene networks for the sets of clinical symptoms that comprise the major information for pattern classification.Clinical manifestations in rheumatoid arthritis were clustered with factor analysis,and two factors(similar to cold and hot patterns in traditional Chinese medicine)were found.Microarray technology was used to reveal gene expression profiles in CD4^(+)T cells from 21 rheumatoid arthritis patients.Protein-protein interaction information for these genes from databases and literature data was searched.The highly-connected regions were detected to infer significant complexes or pathways in this protein-protein interaction network.The significant pathways and function were extracted from these subnetworks using the Biological Network Gene Ontology tool.The genes significantly related to hot and cold patterns were identified by correlations analysis.MAPK signalling pathway,Wnt signaling pathway,and insulin signaling pathway were found to be related to hot pattern.Purine metabolism was related to both hot and cold patterns.Alanine,aspartate,and tyrosine metabolism were related to cold pattern,and histindine metabolism and lysine degradation were related to hot pattern.The results suggest that cold and hot patterns in traditional Chinese medicine were related to different pathways,and the network analysis might be used for identifying the pattern classification in other diseases.Miao Jiang Cheng Xiao Gao Chen Cheng Lu Qinglin Zha Xiaoping Yan Weiping Kong Shijie Xu Dahong Ju Pu Xu Youwen Zou Aiping Lu 2011Frontiers of Medicine2011,5,2:2
3Transfer function based equivalent modeling method for wind farm显示文摘To effectively study the dynamics of power systems with large-scale wind farms(WFs), an equivalent model needs to be developed. It is well known that back-toback converters and their controllers are important for the dynamic responses of the wind turbine(WT) under disturbances. However, the detailed structure and parameters of the back-to-back converters and their controllers are usually unknown to power grid operators. Hence, it is difficult to build an accurate equivalent model for the WF using the component model-based equivalent modeling method. In this paper, a transfer function based equivalent modeling method for the WF is proposed. During modeling, the detailed structure and parameters of the WF are not required. The objective of the method is reproducing the output dynamics of the WF under the variation of the wind speed and power grid faults. A decoupled parameter-estimation strategy is also developed to estimate the parameters of the equivalent model. A WF that consists of 16 WTs is used to test the proposed equivalent model. Additionally,the proposed equivalent modeling method is applied to build the equivalent model for a real WF in Northwest China. 7Validation of the eighth edition of the AJCC staging system for patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma initially receiving chemoradiotherapy and proposal of modifications显示文摘Objective:To validate the eighth edition of the AJCC staging system in patients with pancreatic adenocarcinoma receiving only stereotactic body radiation therapy and chemotherapy,and to propose modifications to improve prognostic accuracy.Methods:Patients with pathologically confirmed pancreatic adenocarcinoma without metastasis who were undergoing only chemoradiotherapy were included and staged according to the seventh and eighth editions of the AJCC staging system.Meanwhile,another group of stage T4 patients from the above enrollment with only portal vein involvement with or without tumor thrombi(PV±PVTT)were retrieved for survival comparisons.Modifications were proposed according to the survival comparisons.A cohort from the SEER database was used for external validation of the modified staging system.Results:A total of 683 patients were included.Patients with N2 or N1 but different T stages had significantly different survival outcomes according to the eighth edition.The survival of patients with(PV±PVTT)was comparable to that of patients with T4 tumors.The concordance index of the seventh and eighth editions,and the modified staging system was 0.744(95%CI:0.718—0.769),0.750(95%CI:0.725—0.775),and 0.788(95%CI:0.762-0.813),respectively.For external validation,the concordance index was 0.744(95%CI:0.718-0.770),0.750(95%CI:0.724-0.776),and 0.788(95%CI:0.762-0.814),respectively.Conclusions:The modified staging system is suggested to have the m ost accurate prognostic value.Hence,PV土PVTT should be added to the definition of T4 tumors regardless of tumor size.Patients with N2 or N1 in different T stages could be regrouped into different substages.Additionally,stage III should be subclassified into IIIA(T3N 2 and T4N 0)and IIIB(T4N 1-2).Xiaofei Zhu Di Chen Yangsen Cao Xianzhi Zhao Xiaoping Ju Yuxin Shen Fei Cao Shuiwang Qing Fang Fang Zhen Jia Huojun Zhang 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,2:1
8Improved geologic surface approximation using a multiquadric method with additional constraints显示文摘Geologic surface approximation is profoundly affected by the presence, density and location of scattered geologic input data. Many studies have recognized the importance of utilizing varied sources of information when reconstructing a surface. This paper presents an improved geologic surface approximation method using a multiquadric function and borehole data. Additional information, i.e., inequality elevation and dip-strikes data extracted from outcrops or mining faces, is introduced in the form of physical constraints that control local changes in the estimated surface. Commonly accepted hypothesis states that geologic surfaces can be approximated to any desired degree of exactness by the summation of regular, mathematically defined, surfaces: in particular displaced quadric forms. The coefficients of the multiquadric functions are traditionally found by a least squares method. The addition of physical constraints in this work makes such an approach into a non-deterministic polynomial time problem. Hence we propose an objective function that represents the quality of the estimated surface and that includes the additional constraints by incorporation of a penalty function. Maximizing the smoothness of the estimated surface and its fitness to the additional constraints then allows the coefficients of the multiquadric function to be obtained by iterative methods. 15Fabrication of high Li:water molar ratio electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Hydrous electrolytes with high electrochemical potentials were obtained by hydrating water molecules into solutes to form high Li:water molar ratio electrolytes(HMRE).Solid polyethylene glycol(PEG) were e mployed to enha nce the molar ratio of Li^(+) to water in the electrolytes while reducing the consumption of Li-salt.The obtained mole ratio of Li^(+) to wa ter molecules in the hydrous electrolytes was greater than 1:1;however,the mass fraction of Li-salt was reduced to 61%(approximately 5.5 mol/kg,based on water and PEG).Compared with that of water-in-salt electrolytes,the mass fraction of Li-salt could be remarkably reduced by adding solid PEG.The electrochemical stability of the electrolytes improved considerably because of the strong hydration of Li^(+) by the water molecules.A beneficial passivation effect,arising from the decomposition of the electrolyte,at a wide potential window was observed.Miaofeng Huang Jiajie Yang Siron Zhen Chubin Wan Xiaoping Jiang Xin Ju 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:0
16An improved method of rendering oil extraction contour under constrained conditions显示文摘Aiming at the issue of oil extraction data analysis and data display, this paper introduces an effective contour map rendering method considering constrained factors of the distribution of oil reservoir and geological conditions. The constraints such as faults, ridges, scarps and island areas are first classified into two categories of geometries, namely, polylines and polygons. Then, a Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN) is constructed based on the geo-locations of oil wells and further refined with local constraints of polylines and polygons. Finally, the intersections of line segments between a specified equivalent surface and the triangles in TIN are calculated and the contours are thus formed by connecting these intersection line segments. 17Preparation of safe water-lipid mixed electrolytes for application in ion capacitor显示文摘Aqueous electrolytes are safe,economic,and environmentally friendly.However,they have a narrow potential window.On the other hand,organic electrolytes exhibit good thermodynamic stability but are inflammable and moisture sensitive.In this study,we prepared water-PEG-lipid ternary electrolytes(TEs).To combine the advantages of water,polyethylene glycol(PEG)and propylene carbonate(PC).The nonflammable mixed electrolytes exhibited a wide potential window of about 2.8 V due to the beneficial effects of PEG and PC.Using these TEs,a lithium manganate-active carbon ion capacitor could be operated at 2.4 V with an energy density of 32 Wh/kg,based on the total active electrode material(current density of 3.3 m A/cm^(2)).This value was significantly higher than that achieved using an aqueous electrolyte,thereby rationalizing the higher energy density.Miaofeng Huang Aihua Tang Zhenyin Wang Jingkun Shi Xiaoping Jiang Chubin Wan Xin Ju 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,6:0
