1Progress in Global Gas Hydrate Development and Production as a New Energy Resource显示文摘Natural gas hydrates have been hailed as a new and promising unconventional alternative energy,especially as fossil fuels approach depletion,energy consumption soars,and fossil fuel prices rise,owing to their extensive distribution,abundance,and high fuel efficiency.Gas hydrate reservoirs are similar to a storage cupboard in the global carbon cycle,containing most of the world's methane and accounting for a third of Earth's mobile organic carbon.We investigated gas hydrate stability zone burial depths from the viewpoint of conditions associated with stable existence of gas hydrates,such as temperature,pressure,and heat flow,based on related data collected by the global drilling programs.Hydrate-related areas are estimated using various biological,geochemical and geophysical tools.Based on a series of previous investigations,we cover the history and status of gas hydrate exploration in the USA,Japan,South Korea,India,Germany,the polar areas,and China.Then,we review the current techniques for hydrate exploration in a global scale.Additionally,we briefly review existing techniques for recovering methane from gas hydrates,including thermal stimulation,depressurization,chemical injection,and CH4-CO2 exchange,as well as corresponding global field trials in Russia,Japan,United States,Canada and China.In particular,unlike diagenetic gas hydrates in coarse sandy sediments in Japan and gravel sediments in the United States and Canada,most gas hydrates in the northem South China Sea are non-diagenetic and exist in fine-grained sediments with a vein-like morphology.Therefore,especially in terms of the offshore production test in gas hydrate reservoirs in the Shenhu area in the north slope of the South China Sea,Chinese scientists have proposed two unprecedented techniques that have been verified during the field trials:solid fluidization and formation fluid extraction.Herein,we introduce the two production techniques,as well as the so-called'fbur-in-one'environmental monitoring system employed during the Shenhu production test.Methane is not currently commercially produced from gas hydrates anywhere in the world;therefore,the objective of field trials is to prove whether existing techniques could be applied as feasible and economic production methods for gas hydrates in deep-water sediments and permafrost zones.Before achieving commercial methane recovery from gas hydrates,it should be necessary to measure the geologic properties of gas hydrate reservoirs to optimize and improve existing production techniques.Herein,we propose horizontal wells,multilateral wells,and cluster wells improved by the vertical and in dividual wells applied during existing field trials.It is noteworthy that relatively pure gas hydrates occur in seafloor mounds,within near-surface sediments,and in gas migration conduits.Their extensive distribution,high saturation,and easy access mean that these types of gas hydrate may attract considerable attention from academia and industry in the future.Herein,we also review the occurrence and development of concentrated shallow hydrate accumulations and briefly introduce exploration and production techniques.In the closing section,we discuss future research needs,key issues,and major challenges related to gas hydrate exploration and production.We believe this review article provides insight on past,present,and future gas hydrate exploration and production to provide guidelines and stimulate new work into the field of gas hydrates.LIU Liping SUN Zhilei ZHANG Lei WU Nengyou Yichao Qin JIANG Zuzhou GENG Wei CAO Hong ZHANG Xilin ZHAI Bin XU Cuiling SHEN Zhicong JIA Yonggang 2019Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2019,93,3:13

4Single or combined effects of dietary arabinoxylan-oligosaccharide and inulin on growth performance,gut microbiota,and immune response in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei显示文摘The single and synergistic effects of dietary arabinoxylan-oligosaccharide(AXOS)and inulin at different doses(2,4,and 8 mg/g diet)on survival,growth performance,gut microbiota,and immune response in Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei were assessed.Singular application of either inulin or AXOS at doses of 4 mg/g diet showed the most stimulatory effects on the growth rate and gene expression levels of chitinase,cathepsin L,chymotrypsin,and extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)in each single prebiotic feeding trial.Compared with single prebiotic treatments,simultaneous application of AXOS and inulin at 4 mg/g diet enhanced remarkably the growth parameters of shrimp and the expression of related genes(chitinase,cathepsin L,chymotrypsin,ERK,myeloid differentiation factor 88,and phenoloxidase)after 8-week feeding(P<0.05).Additionally,gut microbiota analysis indicated the dietary supplementation with combined prebiotics increased significantly the bacterial community richness and relative abundance of Bacillus Pseudomonas Bacteriovorax,and Lactobacillus,and reduced the abundance of Vibrio Rhodococcus,and Photobacterium in the digestive tract of L vannamei.Compared with the single prebiotic treatment and the control,combined prebiotics supplementation boosted notably the survival rate and expression levels of immune-related genes in shrimp infected with Vibrio alginolyticus or white spot syndrome virus.Therefore,simultaneous application of AXOS and inulin shall have a great potential of dietary supplement in the culture of L.vannamei.Yun LI Wei YUAN Yi ZHANG Hong LIU Xilin DAI 2021Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,2:3
5Implementation of slow and smooth etching of GaN by inductively coupled plasma显示文摘Slow and smooth etching of gallium nitride(GaN) by BCl_3/Cl_2-based inductively coupled plasma(ICP)is investigated in this paper. The effects of etch parameters, including ICP power, radio frequency(RF) power, the flow rate of Cl_2 and BCl_3, on GaN etch rate and etch surface roughness RMS are discussed. A new model is suggested to explain the impact mechanism of the BCl_3 flow rate on etch surface roughness. 6Analytical model for the transient permittivity of uncured TiO_(2) whisker/liquid silicone rubber composites under an AC electric field显示文摘The electric field grading of dielectric permittivity gradient devices is an effective way of enhancing their insulation properties.The in situ electric field‐driven as-sembly is an advanced method for the fabrication of insulation devices with adaptive permittivity gradients;however,there is no theoretical guidance for design.In this study,an analytical model with a time constant is developed to determine the transient permittivity of uncured composites under an applied AC electric field.This model is based on optical image and dielectric permittivity monitoring,which avoids the direct processing of complex electrodynamics.For a composite with given components,the increased filler content and electric field strength can accelerate the transient process.Compared with the finite element method based on differential equations,this statistical model is simple but efficient,and can be applied to any low‐viscosity uncured composites,which may contain multiple fillers.More importantly,when a voltage is applied to an uncured composite insulating device,the proposed model can be used to analyse the spatiotemporal permittivity characteristics of this device and optimise its permittivity gradient for electric field grading.Zikui Shen Zhenyu Xin Xilin Wang Xinyu Wei Zhidong Jia 2021High Voltage2021,6,3:1

10Co-overexpression of genes for nitrogen transport, assimilation, and utilization boosts rice grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency显示文摘Nitrogen(N)fertilization is necessary for obtaining high rice yield.But excessive N fertilizer reduces rice plant N efficiency and causes negative effects such as environmental pollution.In this study,we assembled key genes involved in different nodes of N pathways to boost nitrate and ammonium uptake and assimilation,and to strengthen amino acid utilization to increase grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE)in rice.The combinations OsNPF8.9a×OsNR2,OsAMT1;2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1,and OsGS2×OsAS2×OsANT3 optimized nitrate assimilation,ammonium conversion,and N reutilization,respectively.In co-overexpressing rice lines obtained by co-transformation,the tiller number,biomass,and grain yield per plant of the OsAMT1;2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1-overexpressing line exceeded those of wild-type ZH11,the OsNPF8.9a×OsNR2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1-overexpressing line,and the OsGS2×OsAS2×OsANT3-overexpressing line.The glutamine synthase activity,free amino acids,and nitrogen utilization efficiency(NUt E)of the OsAMT1;2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1-overexpressing line exceeded those of ZH11 and other lines that combined key genes.N influx efficiency was increased in the OsAMT1;2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1-overexpressing line and OsNPF8.9a×OsNR2×OsGS1;2×OsAS1-overexpressing line under a low ammonium and a low nitrate treatment,respectively.We propose that combining overexpression of OsAMT1;2,OsGS1;2,and OsAS1 is a promising breeding strategy for systematically increasing rice grain yield and NUE by focusing on key nodes in the N pathway.Jie Luo Junnan Hang Bilong Wu Xilin Wei Quanzhi Zhao Zhongming Fang 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,3:1

13Solution-processed wafer-scale nanoassembly of conducting polymers enables selective ultratrace nerve agent detection at low power显示文摘There is a great interest in developing microelectronic devices based on nanostructured conducting polymers that can selectively electro-couple analytes at high sensitivity and low power.Nanostructured conducting polymers have emerged as promising candidates for this technology due to their excellent stability with low redox potential,high conductivity,and selectivity endowed by chemical functionalization.However,it remains challenging to develop cost-effective and large-scale assembly approaches for functionalized conducting polymers in the practical fabrication of electronic devices.Here,we reported a straightforward waferscale assembly of nanostructured hexafluoroisopropanol functionalized poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)(PEDOT-HFIP)on smooth substrates.This approach is template-free,solution-processed,and adaptable to conductive and nonconductive substrates.By this approach,the nanostructured PEDOT-HFIPs could be easily integrated onto interdigitated electrodes with intimate ohmic contact.At the optimized space-to-volume ratio,we demonstrated a low-power,sensitive,and selective nerve agent sensing technology using this platform by detecting sarin vapor with a limit of detection(LOD)of 10 ppb and signal strength of 400 times the water interference at the same concentration,offering significant advantages over existing similar technologies.We envision that its easy scale-up,micro size,small power consumption,and combination of high sensitivity and selectivity make it attractive for various wearable platforms.Bin Luo Jianan Weng Zhi Geng Qichao Pan Xilin Pei Yong He Chuanzhi Chen Hongxing Zhang Renbo Wei Yupeng Yuan Jin Yang Jinyi Ma Zhengwei You Bo Zhu 2023Nano Research2023,16,4:0

16Highly efficient through-space charge transfer TADF molecule employed in TADF-and TADF-sensitized organic light-emitting diodes显示文摘The inception and harnessing of excitons are paramount for the electroluminescence performance of organic light-emitting devices(OLEDs).Through-space charge transfer(TSCT)via intramolecular interaction has proved to be one of the most potent techniques employed to achieve 100% internal quantum efficiency.However,molecular strategies utilized to comprehensively enhance the electroluminescent performance of TSCT emitters regarding improving the photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)and elevating the light out-coupling efficiency remain arduous.To surmount this challenge,we deliberately designed and synthesized a proof-of-concept TSCT emitter called CzO-TRZ by incorporating an extra carbazole donor into spiroheterocyclic architecture.The introduction of rigid spiral fragments can immensely boost the horizontal orientation dipole ratio and establish an extra through-bond charge transfer(TBCT)radiative decay channel.As a result,a very high PLQY of 98.7%,fast kRISCof 2.2×10^(5)s^(-1)and high k_(r)^(s) of 2.2×10^(7)s^(-1),and an ultrahigh horizontal dipolar ratio of 90%were concurrently achieved for Cz O-TRZ blended films.Furthermore,corresponding thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)-and TADF-sensitized fluorescence(TSF)-OLEDs based on CzO-TRZ demonstrated external quantum efficiencies(EQEs)of 33.4% and 30.3%,respectively,highlighting its versatile applications as both an emitter and sensitized host.Jiasen Zhang Deli Li Wei Li Yujie Wu Xilin Mu Chunyu Liu Kaibo Fang Ziyi Ge 2024Science China Chemistry2024,67,4:0
17BcBRC1a is a negative regulator for tillering in non-heading Chinese cabbage显示文摘Shoot branching is a decisive factor for crop yield.Molecular mechanism for regulating shoot branching(tillering)needs to be determined.Plenty of previous studies have illustrated that BRANCHED1(BRC1)is a key integrator of shoot branching regulating signals.However,BcBRC1 function in non-heading Chinese cabbage(Brassica campestris ssp.chinensis)(NHCC)remains unknown.Here,we defined two BRC1 orthologs,BcBRC1a and BcBRC1b,from NHCC and focused on the BcBRC1a gene to describe its alternative splicing characteristic and structure.BcBRC1a was expressed rhythmically and mainly in leaf axils at the'Maertou'cultivar tillering stage.BcBRC1aL encoded a nuclear location protein.Its ectopic expression caused Arabidopsis growth inhibition and silencing BcBRC1a led to increased tiller numbers in'Maertou'.Removing the shoot tips of NHCC caused axillary buds to be released from apical dominance and BcBRC1a expression down-regulation.Our research determined that BcBRC1a acts as a negative regulator for tillering in non-heading Chinese cabbage and sets the foundation for further studies.Yan Long Tianzi Zhao Lanlan Xu Wei Zhang Feiyi Huang Jianjun Wang Xilin Hou Ying Li 2022Vegetable Research2022,2,1:0
18Pore-water geochemistry in methane-seep sediments of the Makran accretionary wedge off Pakistan:Possible link to subsurface methane hydrate显示文摘Cold seeps are pervasive along the continental margin worldwide,and are recognized as hotspots for elemental cycling pathway on Earth.In this study,analyses of pore water geochemical compositions of one-400 cm piston core(S3)and the application of a mass balance model are conducted to assess methane-associated biogeochemical reactions and uncover the relationship of methane in shallow sediment with gas hydrate reservoir at the Makran accretionary wedge off Pakistan.The results revealed that approximately 77%of sulfate is consumed by the predominant biogeochemical process of anaerobic oxidation of methane.However,the estimated sulfate-methane interface depth is-400 cm below sea floor with the methane diffusive flux of 0.039 mol/(m^(2)·a),suggesting the activity of methane seepage.Based on the δ^(13)C_(DIC) mass balance model combined with the contribution proportion of different dissolved inorganic carbon sources,this study calculated the δ^(13)C of the exogenous methane to be-57.9‰,indicating that the exogenous methane may be a mixture source,including thermogenic and biogenic methane.The study of pore water geochemistry at Makran accretionary wedge off Pakistan may have considerable implications for understanding the specific details on the dynamics of methane in cold seeps and provide important evidence for the potential occurrence of subsurface gas hydrate in this area.Xianrong Zhang Jianming Gong Zhilei Sun Jing Liao Bin Zhai Libo Wang Xilin Zhang Cuiling Xu Wei Geng 2021Acta Oceanologica Sinica2021,40,9:0
