2Establishment and Preliminary Application of a Rapid Fluorescent Focus Inhibition Test (RFFIT) for Rabies Virus显示文摘The World Health Organization (WHO) standard assay for determining levels of the rabies virus neutralization antibody (RVNA) is the rapid fluorescent focus inhibition test (RFFIT), which is used to evaluate the immunity effect after vaccination against rabies. For RFFIT, CVS-11 was used as the challenge virus, BSR cells as the adapted cells, and WHO rabies immunoglobulin (WHO STD) as the reference serum in this study. With reference to WHO and Pasteur RFFIT procedures, a micro-RFFIT procedure adapted to our laboratory was produced, and its specificity and reproducibility were tested. We tested levels of RVNA in human serum samples after immunization with different human rabies vaccines (domestic purified Vero cell rabies vaccine (PVRV) and imported purified chick embryo cell vaccine (PCECV)) using different regimens (Zagreb regimen and Essen regimen). We analyzed the levels of RVNA, and compared the immune efficacy of domestic PVRV and imported PCECV using different immunization regimens. The results showed that the immune efficacy of domestic PVRV using the Zagreb regimen was as good as that of the imported PCECV, but virus antibodies were generated more rapidly with the Zagreb regimen than with the Essen regimen. 3Archaeal community structure along a gradient of petroleum contamination in saline-alkali soil显示文摘The response of archaeal communities to petroleum contamination in saline-alkali soil was characterized by analyses of three soil samples with different total petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations.Through the construction and screening of 16S rRNA gene clone libraries based on DNA extracts from these soils,nine distinct phylogenetic groups were identified.Statistical analyses showed that the distribution of archaeal community structures differ significantly along the gradient of petroleum contamination in these three saline- alkali soils.Five phylogenetic groups were dominant in the control soil,two of which were also abundant in the lightly contaminated soil.Four phylogenetic groups were dominant in heavily contaminated soil,one of which was also abundant in the lightly contaminated soil.The halophilic genus of Haloferax and the haloalkaliphilic genus of Natronomonas were more abundant in heavily contaminated soil.These results suggested that the genera of Haloferax and Natronomonas may have a role in the natural attenuation of petroleum- contaminated saline-alkali soil.Xinxin Wang Zhen Han Zhihui Bai Jingchun Tang Anzhou Ma Jizheng He Guoqiang Zhuang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,11:8

6Compressive Sensing-Based Audio Semi-fragile Zero-Watermarking Algorithm显示文摘A novel compressive sensing-based audio semi-fragile zero-watermarking algorithm is proposed in this paper. This algorithm transforms the original audio signal into the wavelet domain and applies compressive sensing theory to the approximation wavelet coefficients.The zero-watermarking is constructed according to the positive and negative properties of elements in the measurement vector. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is robust against common audio signal processing and fragile to malicious tampering. 7A Comparative Study on Hydrodynamic Performance of Double Deflector Rectangular Cambered Otter Board显示文摘In the present work,the hydrodynamic performance of the double deflector rectangular cambered otter board was studied using wind tunnel experiment,flume tank experiment and numerical simulation.Results showed that the otter board had a good hydrodynamic performance with the maximum lift-to-drag ratio(K_(MAX) = 3.70).The flow separation occurred when the angle of attack(AOA) was at 45?,which revealed that the double deflector structure of the otter board can delay the flow separation.Numerical simulation results showed a good agreement with experiment ones,and could predict the critical AOA,which showed that it can be used to study the hydrodynamic performance of the otter board with the advantage of flow visualization.However,the drag coefficient in flume tank was much higher than that in wind tunnel,which resulted in a lower lift-to-drag ratio.These may be due to different fluid media between flume tank and wind tunnel,which result in the big difference of the vortexes around the otter board.Given the otter boards are operated in water,it was suggested to apply both flume tank experiment and numerical simulation to study the hydrodynamic performance of otter board.XU Qingchang FENG Chunlei HUANG Liuyi XU Jiqiang WANG Lei ZHANG Xun LIANG Zhenlin TANG Yanli ZHAO Fenfang WANG Xinxin 2018Journal of Ocean University of China2018,17,5:5

9Implementing a “free” tuberculosis (TB) care policy under the integrated model in Jiangsu, China: practices and costs in the real world显示文摘Background:In the 1990s,China introduced a“free”tuberculosis(TB)care policy under the national TB control program.Recently,as a part of a new TB diagnosis and treatment model,it has been recommended that the integrated model scale up.This paper examines whether or not TB designated hospitals in the selected project sites have provided TB care according to the national and local guidelines,and analyzes the actual practices and expenditures involved in completing TB treatment.It also explores the reasons why“free”TB care in China cannot be effectively implemented under the integrated model.Methods:This study was conducted in three counties of Zhenjiang city,Jiangsu province.Mixed methods were used,which comprised reviewing the national and local TB control guidelines,conducting TB patient surveys,collecting TB inpatient and outpatient hospital records,and conducting qualitative interviews with stakeholders.Descriptive statistics were used for quantitative data analysis across counties and in order to compare patients who received only outpatient care and those who received both outpatient and inpatient care.The chi-square test and analysis of variance were performed where necessary.Qualitative data were analyzed using the framework approach.Results:Although the national TB care guidelines recommend outpatient care as a basis for TB treatment in China,we found high hospital admission rates for TB patients ranging from 39%in Yangzhong county to 83%in Dantu county.Almost all outpatient TB patients paid for lab tests and over 80%paid for liver protection drugs and around 70%paid for image examinations.These three components accounted for three-quarters of the total outpatient expenditure.For patients who received only outpatient care,the total expenditure upon completion of TB treatment was on average 1,135 Chinese yuan.For patients who received outpatient and inpatient care,the total expenditure upon completion of TB treatment was 11,117 Chinese yuan.Conclusion:The“free”TB care policy under the integrated model has not been effectively implemented in China.There has been substantial spending on non-recommended services,examinations,and drugs for TB treatment.Xinxin Jia Jiaying Chen Siyuan Zhang Bing Dai Qian Long Shenglan Tang 2016Infectious Diseases of Poverty2016,5,1:4
10Influence of the NAO on Wintertime Surface Air Temperature over East Asia:Multidecadal Variability and Decadal Prediction显示文摘In this paper,we investigate the influence of the winter NAO on the multidecadal variability of winter East Asian surface air temperature(EASAT)and EASAT decadal prediction.The observational analysis shows that the winter EASAT and East Asian minimum SAT(EAmSAT)display strong in-phase fluctuations and a significant 60-80-year multidecadal variability,apart from a long-term warming trend.The winter EASAT experienced a decreasing trend in the last two decades,which is consistent with the occurrence of extremely cold events in East Asia winters in recent years.The winter NAO leads the detrended winter EASAT by 12-18 years with the greatest significant positive correlation at the lead time of 15 years.Further analysis shows that ENSO may affect winter EASAT interannual variability,but does not affect the robust lead relationship between the winter NAO and EASAT.We present the coupled oceanic-atmospheric bridge(COAB)mechanism of the NAO influences on winter EASAT multidecadal variability through its accumulated delayed effect of~15 years on the Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillation(AMO)and Africa-Asia multidecadal teleconnection(AAMT)pattern.An NAO-based linear model for predicting winter decadal EASAT is constructed on the principle of the COAB mechanism,with good hindcast performance.The winter EASAT for 2020-34 is predicted to keep on fluctuating downward until~2025,implying a high probability of occurrence of extremely cold events in coming winters in East Asia,followed by a sudden turn towards sharp warming.The predicted 2020/21 winter EASAT is almost the same as the 2019/20 winter.Jianping LI Tiejun XIE Xinxin TANG Hao WANG Cheng SUN Juan FENG Fei ZHENG Ruiqiang DING 2022Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022,39,4:4
11Molecular Characteristics and Phylogenetic Analysis of N Gene of Human Derived Rabies Virus显示文摘Objective To investigate the relationship between the molecular characteristics and phylogenetic evolution of rabies N gene.Methods Saliva samples were collected from rabies cases,and RT-PCR was used to amplify the N gene of rabies virus with the specific primers.The amplifying product of RT-PCR was cloned to pUCm-T vector and transformed into E.coli XL1-Blue and then the blue-white selection,PCR screening and gene sequencing were carried out to identify the positive clones.Finally,ExPASy and other bioinformatics softwares were used to analyze and predict the structure and biological characteristics of the N genome.Results The amplification product of RT-PCR was 1 353 bp,the recombinant plasmid pUCm-T/N was constructed,the whole length of the N gene open reading frame was composed of 1 353 nucleotide residues to code 450 amino acids (20 kinds),the accession number submitted to the Genbank was HM756692,its sequence homology of nucleotides and amino acids compared with the vaccine strain CTN-1-V was 90% and 99% respectively.The evolutionary analysis showed that the isolated strain belonged to genotype I with certain geographic regionality.Conclusion The characteristics investigation and bioinformatics analysis of Hunan0806 N gene will provide fundament data to reveal the significance of the N gene characteristics for rabies epidemiology and its prevention & control.CAI Liang TAO XiaoYan LIU YunZhi ZHANG Hong GAO LiDong HU ShiXiong LIU FuQiang LI Hao SHEN XinXin LIU JiaHui WANG ShiQing TANG Qing 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,4:4
12Anthropogenic Effect on Deposition Dynamics of Lake Sediments Based on ^(137)Cs and ^(210)Pb_(ex) Techniques in Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve,China显示文摘Radionuclide dating techniques characterized by137Cs and210Pbex have recently been applied in the study of lake sediments around the world.In this study,a chronological series of sediment cores was established based on137Cs and210Pbex analyses along with the evaluation of sediment properties,such as particle size distribution,total organic carbon(TOC),carbonate content,and acid-insoluble residue,to study sediment accumulation rates,sediment sources,and responses to human activities in the Jiuzhaigou National Nature Reserve in southwestern China.In terms of the particle size distribution of sediments,silt content was the highest,and clay and sand contents were relatively low.The sediments displayed high TOC contents because of the significant amounts of vegetation grown in the lakes.The carbonate content was also high due to the overall geological background of carbonates in Jiuzhaigou.Carbonate content tended to decline from top to bottom in the sediment cores,whereas the acid-insoluble residue tended to increase.These results suggested that the depth variation of the environmental parameters of the sediments in two lakes in Jiuzhaigou would correspond to each other.The results indicated that the sediment rate of Jiuzhaigou was generally high with strong siltation,indicating that serious soil loss was induced by intensive human activities in the basin over the past decades.The increases in the mass accumulation rate,contents of acid-insoluble residue,and mean particle size during the periods of 1840–1900s,late 1930s–early 1950s,1966–1978,and2003–2006 revealed the occurrence of severe soil and water loss as a result of extensive agricultural expansion,large-scale deforestation,and road construction in Jiuzhaigou.The deposition rate and the properties of lacustrine sediments could reflect the significant impact of human activities on lake sedimentation during Jiuzhaigou′s history.LIANG Kangkang HU Xinxin LI Shiguang HUANG Chengmin TANG Ya 2014Chinese Geographical Science2014,24,2:3
13Identification and Validation of an Immune-related Prognostic Signature for Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Background and Aims:The immune system plays vital roles in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)initiation and progression.The present study aimed to construct an immune-gene related prognostic signature(IRPS)for predicting the prognosis of HCC patients.Methods:Gene expression data were retrieved from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.The IRPS was established via least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)and multivariate Cox regression analysis.The prognostic values of the IRPS were further validated using the International Cancer Genome Consortium(ICGC)dataset.Results:A total of 62 genes were identified as candidate immune-related prognostic genes.According to the results of Lasso and multivariate Cox regression analysis,we established an IRPS and confirmed its stability and reliability in the ICGC dataset.The IRPS was significantly associated with advanced clinicopathological characteristics.Both Cox regression analyses revealed that the IRPS could be independent risk factors influencing prognosis of HCC patients.The relationships between the IRPS and infiltration of immune cells demonstrated that the IRPS was associated with immune cell infiltration.Furthermore,a nomogram was constructed to estimate the survival probability of HCC patients.Conclusions:The IRPS was effective for predicting prognosis of HCC patients,which might serve as novel prognostic and therapeutic biomarkers for HCC.Xinxin Xia Ping Tang Hui Liu Yuejun Li 2021Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6:3
14Research on the Relationship between Grain Composition and Repose Angle of Coal Gangue in Dongkuang Mine, Heshan City, Guangxi, China显示文摘Heshan, a city in Southwest China, has been built over an old coal mining area. Due to low level of reclamation, coal gangue had been stacked in large heaps and caused geological environmental problems. To facilitate designing management project of coal gangue, we made an investigation of the largest coal gangue heap in Dongkuang Mine of Heshan. Firstly, the grain composition of coal gangue was estimated through the sieving method, then the representative grading curve was drawn through the statistics method of coarse grain content, and lastly the relationship between the repose angle and grain grading was studied by piling up coal gangue with different mix proportion. The result indicates that there is a wider range of grain size in the upper part of coal gangue heap, and the representative grain grading is well graded and easy to be compacted as filling materials. Besides, the wavy relationship curve of repose angle and coarse grain content shows that the content of 70% is the inflection point of ascent stage and 85% the inflection point of descent stage of the repose angle. 15Amelioration of imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis in mice by DSW therapy inspired hydrogel显示文摘Psoriasis is a long-lasting and recurrent autoimmune disease which is incurable so far.Dead Sea water(DSW)therapy is an effective approach to help control the symptoms of psoriasis due to the abundant mineral ions in DSW,which inspired the material formulation in this study.Rubidium–Sodium alginate/Polyacrylamide hydrogels(Rb-SA/PAAm gels)composed of sodium alginate and polyacrylamide interpenetrating network structure with different concentrations of rubidium and certain magnesium and zinc content were prepared for the treatment of psoriasis.The obtained results suggest the good mechanical properties of the Rb-SA/PAAm gels including toughness and swelling performance.In terms of in vitro tests,the Rb-SA/PAAm gels not only show nontoxicity to human keratinocyte cell line(Hacats)but also inhibits the activity against inflammatory NF-κβ signaling pathway.Meanwhile,they can release Rb+which enable the Rb-SA/PAAm gels have better antibacterial ability to Streptococcus and Escherichia coli.The results obtained from in vivo tests indicate that these hydrogels could alleviate the symptoms of psoriasis caused by Imiquimod(IMQ)in mice by reducing the inflammatory factor in STAT3 pathway and therefore reduce the immune stimulation of the spleen.In conclusion,the 100Rb-SA/PAAm gel has demonstrated great potential to be a topical wettable dressing for psoriasis treatment.Xiang He Bing Zhu WeiJia Xie Yu He Jian Song Yi Zhang Chi Sun Hao Li QiYu Tang XinXin Sun Yanni Tan Yong Liu 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,2:2
16A novel spoof surface plasmon polariton structure to reach ultra-strong field confinements显示文摘Ultrathin corrugated metallic structures have been proved to support spoof surface plasmon polariton (SPP) modes on two-dimension (2D) planar microwave circuits.However,to provide stronger field confinement,larger width of strip is required to load deeper grooves,which is cumbersome in modern large-scale integrated circuits and chips.In this work,a new spoof SPP transmission line (TL) with zigzag grooves is proposed.This new structure can achieve stronger field confinement compared to conventional one with the same strip width.In other words,the proposed spoof SPP TL behaves equivalently to a conventional one with much larger size.Dispersion analysis theoretically indicates the negative correlation between the ability of field confinement and cutoff frequencies of spoof SPP TLs.Numerical simulations indicate that the cutoff frequency of the proposed TL is lower than the conventional one and can be easily modified with the fixed size.Furthermore,two samples of the new and conventional spoof SPP TLs are fabricated for experimental demonstration.Measured S-parameters and field distributions verify the ultra-strong ability of field confinement of the proposed spoof SPP TL.Hence,this novel spoof SPP structure with ultra-strong field confinement may find wide applications in microwave and terahertz engineering.Pei Hang He Hao Chi Zhang Xinxin Gao Ling Yun Niu Wen Xuan Tang Jiayuan Lu Le Peng Zhang Tie Jun Cui 2019Opto-Electronic Advances2019,2,6:2
17bZIP71 delays flowering by suppressing Ehd1 expression in rice显示文摘Flowering time is a fundamental factor determining the global distribution and final yield of rice(Oryza sativa).Although diverse flowering time genes have been reported in this crop,the transcriptional regulation of its key flowering genes are poorly understood.Here,we report that a basic leucine zipper transcription factor,bZIP71,functions as a flowering repressor.The overexpression of bZIP71 delays flowering,while the bzip71 mutant flowers early in both long-day and short-day conditions.A genetic analysis showed that the regulation of flowering by bZIP71 might be independent of Heading date 2(Hd2),Hd4,and Hd5.Importantly,bZIP71 directly associates with the Early heading date 1(Ehd1)promoter and represses its transcription,and genetically the function of bZIP71 is impaired in the ehd1 mutant.Moreover,bZIP71 interacts with major components of polycomb repressive complex 2(PRC2),SET domain group protein 711(SDG711),and Fertilization independent endosperm 2(FIE2),through which bZIP71 regulates the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1.Taken together,we present a transcriptional regulatory mechanism in which bZIP71 enhances the H3K27me3 level of Ehd1 and transcriptionally represses its expression,which not only offers a novel insight into a flowering pathway,but also provides a valuable putative target for the genetic engineering and breeding of elite rice cultivars.Xiufeng Li Xiaojie Tian Mingliang He Xinxin Liu Zhiyong Li Jiaqi Tang Enyang Mei Min Xu Yingxiang Liu Zhenyu Wang Qingjie Guan Wei Meng Jun Fang Jian Zhang Qingyun Bu 2022Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7:2
18Robust Audio Watermarking Algorithm Based on Empirical Mode Decomposition显示文摘A novel robust audio watermarking algorithm based on empirical mode decomposition is proposed.The intrinsic feature of the final residual decomposed from the audio frame is selected to embed watermark and the algorithm works by shifting each element of the final residual to make its sum greater or less than 0. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm does not change the property of the final residual after embedding watermark and the watermark is robust against various kinds of attacks. 19Quantification of groundwater recharge and evapotranspiration along a semi-arid wetland transect using diurnal water table fluctuations显示文摘Groundwater is a vital water resource in arid and semi-arid areas.Diurnal groundwater table fluctuations are widely used to quantify rainfall recharge and groundwater evapotranspiration(ET_(g)).To assess groundwater resources for sustainable use,we estimated groundwater recharge and ET_(g) using the diurnal water table fluctuations at three sites along a section with different depths to water table(DWT)within a wetland of the Mukai Lake in the Ordos Plateau,Northwest China.The water table level was monitored at an hourly resolution using a Keller DCX-22 A data logger that measured both the total pressure and barometric pressure,so that the effect of barometric pressure could be removed.At this study site,a rapid water table response to rainfall was observed in two shallow wells(i.e.,Obs1 and Obs2),at which diurnal water table fluctuations were also observed over the study period during rainless days,indicating that the main factors influencing water table variation are rainfall and ET_(g).However,at the deep-water table site(Obs3),the groundwater level only reacted to the heaviest rainfalls and showed no diurnal variations.Groundwater recharge and ET_(g) were quantified for the entire hydrological year(June 2017–June 2018)using the water table fluctuation method and the Loheide method,respectively,with depth-dependent specific yields.The results show that the total annual groundwater recharge was approximately 207 mm,accounting for 52%of rainfall at Obs1,while groundwater recharge was approximately 250 and 21 mm at Obs2 and Obs3,accounting for 63%and 5%of rainfall,respectively.In addition,the rates of groundwater recharge were mainly determined by rainfall intensity and DWT.The daily mean ET_(g) at Obs1 and Obs2 over the study period was 4.3 and 2.5 mm,respectively,and the main determining factors were DWT and net radiation.JIA Wuhui YIN Lihe ZHANG Maosheng ZHANG Xinxin ZHANG Jun TANG Xiaoping DONG Jiaqiu 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,5:1
20Enhanced thermoelectric properties of SnSe thin films grown by pulsed laser glancing-angle deposition显示文摘SnSe single crystals have been demonstrated to possess excellent thermoelectric properties.In this work,we demonstrate a grain size control method in growing nanocrystalline SnSe thin films through a glancing angle pulsed-laser deposition approach.Structural characterization reveals that the SnSe film deposited at a normal angle has a preferred orientation along a axis,while by contrast,the SnSe film deposited at an 80glancing angle develops a nanopillar structure with the growth direction towards the incident atomic flux.The glancing angle deposition greatly reduces the grain size of the thin film due to a shadowing effect to the adatoms,resulting in significantly increased power factor for more than 100%.The maximum Seebeck coefficient and power factor are 498.5 mV=K and 18.5 mWcm^(-1)K^(-2),respectively.The enhancement of thermoelectric property can be attributed to the potential barrier scattering at grain boundaries owing to the reduced grain size and increased grain boundaries in the film.Given this enhanced power factor,and considering the fact that the nanopillar structure should have much lower thermal conductivity than a plain film,the zT value of such made SnSe film could be significantly larger than the corresponding single crystal film,making it a good candidate for thin film-based thermoelectric device.Chun Hung Suen Dongliang Shi Y.Su Zhi Zhang Cheuk Ho Chan Xiaodan Tang Y.Li Kwok Ho Lam Xinxin Chen B.L.Huang X.Y.Zhou Ji-Yan Dai 2017Journal of Materiomics2017,3,4:1
