1Numerical simulation and experimental verification on downwash air flow of six-rotor agricultural unmanned aerial vehicle in hover显示文摘Recently,multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)becomes more and more significantly irreplaceable in the field of plant protection against diseases,pests and weeds of crops.The easy takeoff and landing performance,hover function and high spraying efficiency of UAV are urgently required to spray pesticide for crop timely and effectively,especially in dispersed plots and hilly mountains.In such situations,the current researches about UAV spray application mainly focus on studying the influence of the UAV spraying parameters on the droplet deposition,such as operation height,operation velocity and wind velocity.The deposition and distribution of pesticide droplets on crops which depends on installation position of nozzle and airflow distribution characteristics of UAV are directly related to the control effect of pesticide and crop growth in different growth periods.As a preliminary step,this study focuses on the dynamic development law and distribution characteristics of the downwash air flow for the SLK-5 six-rotor agricultural UAV.Based on compressible Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)equations with an RNG k-εturbulence model and dynamic mesh technology,the efficient three-dimensional computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method was established to analyze the flow field distribution characteristics of UAV in hover.Then the unsteady interaction flow field of the wing was investigated in detail.The downwash wind speed of the marked points for the SLK-5 UAV in hover was also tested by weather tracker.It was found that the maximum velocity value of the downwash flow was close to 10 m/s;the z-direction velocity was the main body of the wind velocity in the downwash airflow,and the comparison of the wind velocity experiment test and simulation showed that the relative error was less than 12%between the experimental and simulated values of the z-direction velocity at the marked points.Then the flow characteristics of the longitudinal and cross section were analyzed in detail,the results obtained can be used as a reference for drift and sedimentation studies for multi-rotor unmanned aerial vehicle.Yang Fengbo Xue Xinyu Zhang Ling Sun Zhu 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4:28
2Pollution of organic compounds and heavy metals in a coal gangue dump of the Gequan Coal Mine, China显示文摘Samples around a coal gangue dump of the Gequan Coal Mine were collected in April 2009. GC (gas chromatography) and GC/MS (gas chromatography/mass spectrometry) were employed to analyze the composition of organic matter in the samples. ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry) was used to determine the concentrations of heavy metals. The contents of organic extracts are within the range of 140-750 mg/kg. Alkand aro-ratios are relatively high. Compared to those of the background sample (GQ13 ), the contents of saturated hydrocarbon compounds in all the samples are relatively high. The contents of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are relatively high with the distance getting closer to the coal gangue dump. These indicate that organic matter in the samples is from coal particles of the coal gangue dump. 3Selective hydrogenation of CO2 to methanol over Ni/In2O3 catalyst显示文摘An In2O3 supported nickel catalyst has been prepared by wet chemical reduction with sodium borohydride(NaBH4) as a reducing agent for selective hydrogenation of carbon dioxide to methanol. Highly dispersed Ni species with intense Ni-In2O3 interaction and enhanced oxygen vacancies have been achieved.The highly dispersed Ni species serve as the active sites for hydrogen activation and hydrogen spillover.Abundant H adatoms are thereby generated for the oxygen vacancy creation on the In2O3 surface. The enhanced surface oxygen vacancies further lead to improved CO2 conversion. As a result, an effective synergy between the active Ni sites and surface oxygen vacancies on In2O3 causes a superior catalytic performance for CO2 hydrogenation with high methanol selectivity. Carbon monoxide is the only by product detected. The formation of methane can be ignored. When the reaction temperature is lower than 225 ℃,the selectivity of methanol is 100%. It is higher than 64% at the temperature range between 225 ℃ and 275 ℃. The methanol selectivity is still higher than 54% at 300 ℃ with a CO2 conversion of 18.47% and a methanol yield of 0.55 gMeOHg-1cath-1(at 5 MPa). 4Downwash distribution of single-rotor unmanned agricultural helicopter on hovering state显示文摘The effective coverage and velocity of downwash are directly related to the assemblage of spraying system and spraying effect.The downwash of the unmanned agricultural helicopter(UAH)N-3 was discussed in the paper.The computational fluid dynamics(CFD)methods were used to simulate and analyze the distribution of the downwash,and a wind field measurement device had been designed to test the downwash of UAH N-3.In the tests,the UAH N-3 was raised up to 5.0 m,6.0 m and 7.0 m from the ground,“annular-radial-distribution-point”method was introduced,8 directions separated by an angle of 45°(the radial direction)with the intersection point of the main rotor shaft and the ground plane as the center,0.5 m as the step length for the longitudinal(to 2.5 m)and radial(to 4.0 m)direction to set the sample points,considering the range of the rotor rotating circular area mainly.The 5 m height results of N-3 were fully discussed to describe the downwash distribution with the longitudinal altitude increased and the radial distance increased.The standard deviations of five test altitudes for eight directions were comparatively analyzed,the results showed that the total standard deviation was not greater than 0.6 m/s.The overall relative maximum margin of error calculated from the simulation and measurement data was between 0.6 and 0.7,which verified the credibility of the simulation data.High-order polynomials were used to fitting the simulation and measurement data,the fitting results showed that the polynomial coefficient of determination R^(2) met or exceeded 0.75 when the altitudes were more than 1 m,indicating the fit equation having the reference values.When the altitudes equal or less than 0.5 m,the polynomial coefficient of determination R^(2) was smaller,ranging during 0.3 to 0.7.The study would provide some foundations for the optimization of the assemblage of spraying system on the single-rotor UAH,which would promote China aviation plant protection.Zhang Songchao Xue Xinyu Sun Zhu Zhou Lixin Jin Yongkui 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,5:13
5The Limiting Effect of Deep Soil Water on Evapotranspiration of a Subtropical Coniferous Plantation Subjected to Seasonal Drought显示文摘Seasonal drought is a common occurrence in humid climates. The year 2003 was the driest year during the period 1985– 2011 in southeastern China. The objective of this study was to elucidate the impact of the exceptional drought in 2003, compared with eddy flux measurements during 2004–11, on the dynamics of evapotranspiration(ET) and related factors, as well as their underlying mechanisms, in a subtropical coniferous plantation in southeastern China. It was found that daily ET decreased from 5.34 to 1.84 mm during the intensive drought period and recovered to 4.80 mm during the subsquent recovering drought period. Path analysis indicated that ET was mainly determined by canopy conductance and deep soil water content(50 cm) during the intensive drought and recovering drought periods, respectively. The canopy conductance offset the positive effect of air vapor pressure deficit on ET when suffering drought stress, while the canopy conductance enhanced the positive effect of air temperature on ET during the late growing season. 6Application of a PCA-DBN-based surrogate model to robust aerodynamic design optimization显示文摘An efficient method employing a Principal Component Analysis(PCA)-Deep Belief Network(DBN)-based surrogate model is developed for robust aerodynamic design optimization in this study.In order to reduce the number of design variables for aerodynamic optimizations,the PCA technique is implemented to the geometric parameters obtained by parameterization method.For the purpose of predicting aerodynamic parameters,the DBN model is established with the reduced design variables as input and the aerodynamic parameters as output,and it is trained using the k-step contrastive divergence algorithm.The established PCA-DBN-based surrogate model is validated through predicting lift-to-drag ratios of a set of airfoils,and the results indicate that the PCA-DBN-based surrogate model is reliable and obtains more accurate predictions than three other surrogate models.Then the efficient optimization method is established by embedding the PCA-DBN-based surrogate model into an improved Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)framework,and applied to the robust aerodynamic design optimizations of Natural Laminar Flow(NLF)airfoil and transonic wing.The optimization results indicate that the PCA-DBN-based surrogate model works very well as a prediction model in the robust optimization processes of both NLF airfoil and transonic wing.By employing the PCA-DBN-based surrogate model,the developed efficient method improves the optimization efficiency obviously.Jun TAO Gang SUN Liqiang GUO Xinyu WANG 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,6:10
7Nitrate in shallow groundwater in typical agricultural and forest ecosystems in China,2004-2010显示文摘The nitrate-nitrogen(NO 3-N) concentrations from shallow groundwater wells situated in 29 of the Chinese Ecosystem Research Network field stations,representing typical agroand forest ecosystems,were assessed using monitoring data collected between 2004 and 2010.Results from this assessment permit a national scale assessment of nitrate concentrations in shallow groundwater,and allow linkages between nitrate concentrations in groundwater and broad land use categories to be made.Results indicated that most of the NO 3--N concentrations in groundwater from the agroand forest ecosystems were below the Class 3 drinking water standard stated in the Chinese National Standard:Quality Standard for Ground Water(≤ 20 mg/L).Over the study period,the average NO 3--N concentrations were significantly higher in agro-ecosystems(4.1 ± 0.33 mg/L) than in forest ecosystems(0.5 ± 0.04 mg/L).NO 3-N concentrations were relatively higher(> 10 mg N /L) in 10 of the 43 wells sampled in the agricultural ecosystems.These elevated concentrations occurred mainly in the Ansai,Yucheng,Linze,Fukang,Akesu,and Cele field sites,which were located in arid and semiarid areas where irrigation rates are high.We suggest that improvements in N fertilizer application and irrigation management practices in the arid and semi-arid agricultural ecosystems of China are the key to managing groundwater nitrate concentrations.Xinyu Zhang Zhiwei Xu Xiaomin Sun Wenyi Dong Deborah Ballantine 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5:10

9Expanded endoscopic therapy criteria should be cautiously used in intramucosal gastric cancer显示文摘Objective: Accurate estimation of lymph node metastasis(LNM) in intramucosal gastric cancer is essential to select less invasive treatment options and even avoid surgery. The aim of this study was to evaluate combined clinicopathological features to predict the presence of LNM.Methods: A retrospective review of data from 386 intramucosal gastric cancer patients who underwent gastrectomy with extended lymphadenectomy from 2003 to 2010 was conducted. The mutual relation between clinicopathological characteristics and LNM was analyzed.Results: LNM was detected in 40(10.4%) of the 386 patients. Histological type and vascular or lymphatic invasion presence showed a positive correlation with LNM occurrence by univariate analysis. Multivariate analysis revealed that histological type was the only factor associated with LNM. Combined clinicopathologic characteristics would be more predictable for LNM. We found no LNM when we used combined clinicopathological characteristics conforming to Japanese absolute indications for endoscopic therapy. The LNM rate was as high as 8.7% when Japanese expanded criteria were used. Univariate analysis in cancer conformity to expand endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD) indication also revealed that the undifferential type was the only significant factor for LNM.Conclusions: It was possible to predict intramucosal gastric cancer cases without LNM using combined clinicopathological characteristic analysis. 10Medical expenditures for colorectal cancer diagnosis and treatment: A 10-year high-level-hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey in China, 2002-2011显示文摘Objective: Colorectal cancer(CRC) causes a substantial burden of disease in China and the evidence of economic burden triggered is fundamental for priority setting. The aim of this survey was to quantify medical expenditures and the time trends for CRC diagnosis and treatment in China.Methods: From 2012 to 2014, a hospital-based multicenter retrospective survey was conducted in 13 provinces across China. For each eligible CRC patient diagnosed from 2002 to 2011, clinical information and expenditure data were extracted using a uniform questionnaire. All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2011 values.Results: Of the 14,536 CRC patients included, the average age at diagnosis was 58.2 years and 15.8% were stageI cases. The average medical expenditure per patient was estimated at 37,902 CNY [95 % confidence interval(95%CI): 37,282-38,522], and the annual average increase rate was 9.2% from 2002 to 2011(P for trend <0.001), with a cumulative increase of 2.4 times(from 23,275 CNY to 56,010 CNY). The expenditure per patient in stages Ⅰ, Ⅱ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ were 31,698 CNY, 37,067 CNY, 38,918 CNY and 42,614 CNY, respectively(P<0.001). Expenditure significantly differed within various subgroups. Expenses for drugs contributed the largest proportion(52.6%).Conclusions: These conservative estimates illustrated that medical expenditures for CRC diagnosis and treatment in tertiary hospitals in China were substantial and increased rapidly over the 10 years, with drugs continually being the main expense by 2011. Relatively, medical expenditures are lower for CRC in the earlier stages. 11Geochemical characteristics and their significances of rare-earth elements in deep-water well core at the Lingnan Low Uplift Area of the Qiongdongnan Basin显示文摘A geochemical analysis of rare-earth elements(REEs) in 97 samples collected from the core of deep-water Well LS-A located at the Lingnan Low Uplift Area of the Qiongdongnan Basin is conducted, with the purpose of revealing the changes of sedimentary source and environment in the study region since Oligocene and evaluating the response of geochemical characteristics of REEs to the tectonic evolution. In the core samples, both ∑REE and ∑LREE(LREE is short for light-group REEs) fluctuate in a relatively wide range, while ∑HREE(HREE is short for heavy-group REEs) maintains a relatively stable level. With the stratigraphic chronology becoming newer, both ∑REE and ∑LREE show a gradually rising trend overall. The ∑REE of the core is relatively high from the bottom of Yacheng Formation(at a well depth of 4 207 m) to the top of Ledong Formation, and the REEs show partitioning characteristics of the enrichment of LREE, the stable content of HREE, and the negative anomaly of Eu to varying degrees. Overall the geochemical characteristics of REEs are relatively approximate to those of China's neritic sediments and loess, with significant 'continental orientation'. The ∑REE of the core is relatively low in the lower part of Yacheng Formation(at a well depth of 4 207–4 330 m), as shown by the REEs partitioning characteristics of the depletion of LREE, the relative enrichment of HREE, and the positive anomaly of Eu; the geochemical characteristics of REEs are approximate to those of oceanic crust and basalt overall, indicating that the provenance is primarily composed of volcanic eruption matters. As shown by the analyses based on sequence stratigraphy and mineralogy, the provenance in study region in the early Oligocene mainly resulted from the volcanic materials of the peripheral uplift areas; the continental margin materials from the north contributed only insignificantly; the provenance developed to a certain extent in the late Oligocene. Since the Miocene, the provenance has ceaselessly expanded from proximal to distal realm, embodying a characteristic of multi-source sedimentation. In the core strata with 31.5, 28.4, 25.5, 23, and 16 Ma from today, the geochemical parameters of REEs and Th/Sc ratio have significant saltation, embodying the tectonic movement events in the evolution of the Qiongdongnan Basin. 12Genetic-algorithm-based deep neural networks for highly efficient photonic device design显示文摘While deep learning has demonstrated tremendous potential for photonic device design,it often demands a large amount of labeled data to train these deep neural network models.Preparing these data requires high-resolution numerical simulations or experimental measurements and cost significant,if not prohibitive,time and resources.In this work,we present a highly efficient inverse design method that combines deep neural networks with a genetic algorithm to optimize the geometry of photonic devices in the polar coordinate system.The method requires significantly less training data compared with previous inverse design methods.We implement this method to design several ultra-compact silicon photonics devices with challenging properties including power splitters with uncommon splitting ratios,a TE mode converter,and a broadband power splitter.These devices are free of the features beyond the capability of photolithography and generally in compliance with silicon photonics fabrication design rules.YANGMING REN LINGXUAN ZHANG WEIQIANG WANG XINYU WANG YUFANG LEI YULONG XUE XIAOCHEN SUN WENFU ZHANG 2021Photonics Research2021,9,6:6
13Electron microprobe chemical ages of monazite from Qinling Group in the Qinling Orogen: Evidence for Late Pan-African metamorphism?显示文摘Electron microprobe chemical dating was carried out on monazites enclosed in two gen-erations of mineral paragenesis of St + Ky + Grt and Sil + And + Grt + St, respectively, from the Qinling Group. Two different ages, 520±23 Ma and 435±9 Ma, were obtained from these monazites. 15The cotton WRKY transcription factor GhWRKY70 negatively regulates the defense response against Verticillium dahliae显示文摘WRKY transcription factors (TFs) play important roles in the regulation of biotic and abiotic stresses. However, the functions of most WRKY TFs in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum) are still unknown. In this study, we functionally identified a group Ⅲ WRKY transcription factor, GhWRKY70, in upland cotton. Reverse transcription-quantitative PCR analysis showed that GhWRKY70 expression was induced by Verticillium dahliae, salicylic acid (SA) and methyl jasmonate. Virus-induced gene silencing of GhWRKY70 increased the resistance of cotton to V. dahliae. Specifically, jasmonic acid (JA) response-associated genes were upregulated and SA-related genes were downregulated in GhWRKY70-silenced cotton plants. Overexpression of GhWRKY70 reduced tolerance to V. dahliae in Arabidopsis thaliana. Transgenic Arabidopsis plants showed increased expression of SA-associated genes and reduced expression of JA response-associated genes. 16The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 17The correlation and overlaps between PD-L1 expression and classical genomic aberrations in Chinese lung adenocarcinoma patients: a single center case series显示文摘Objective:To investigate the correlation and overlaps between PD-L1 expression and classical genomic aberrations in Chinese lung adenocarcinoma(LADC)patients.Methods:We reviewed 428 consecutive,surgically resected cases of LADC from October 2015 to December 2016 from our center.PD-L1 expression was evaluated based on tumor proportion score(TPS).Correlation and co-occurrence of PD-L1 expression level with those of classical driver genes,such as EGFR,ALK,ROS-1,and KRAS and with clinical variables and disease-free survival(DFS)were analyzed.Results:Seventy of the 428 cases(16.4%)showed TPS≥1%,and 21 cases(4.9%)showed TPS≥50%.PD-L1 positive expression was significantly associated with male gender,smoking,advanced TNM stage,and solid histologic subtype.Both TPS≥1% and ≥50%were correlated with the absence of an EGFR mutation(P<0.001)and the presence of ALK rearrangement(P=0.024).KRAS mutation was associated with TPS≥50%(P=0.035).PD-L1 positivity commonly overlapped with the alterations of classical driver oncogenes(58.5%with TPS≥1% and 42.9% with TPS≥50%).Approximately three-quarters of PD-L1 positive cases co-occurred with classical therapeutic-gene aberrations in cases with stage III/IV cancer or cancer progression.LADC could be divided into four subgroups based on the expression profile of current routine biomarkers for potential therapeutic strategies.Conclusions:PD-L1 expression is not only closely correlated with classic gene alterations but also commonly overlaps with the aberrations of classical driver oncogenes in Chinese LADC patients.These findings provide a useful overview of clinical strategies that rely on the profile of routinely used molecular biomarkers.Jianghua Wu Wei Sun Haiyue Wang Xiaozheng Huang Xinyu Wang Weiyang Jiang Ling Jia Ping Wang Qin Feng Dongmei Lin 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,4:5
18Coriander Genomics Database:a genomic,transcriptomic,and metabolic database for coriander显示文摘Coriander(Coriandrum sativum L.),also known as cilantro,is a globally important vegetable and spice crop.Its genome and that of carrot are models for studying the evolution of the Apiaceae family.Here,we developed the Coriander Genomics Database(CGDB,http://gffzzc8ce0bd092c048a1hf5xuwkpn6x0k60nn.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/)to collect,store,and integrate the genomic,transcriptomic,metabolic,functional annotation,and repeat sequence data of coriander and carrot to serve as a central online platform for Apiaceae and other related plants.Using these data sets in the CGDB,we intriguingly found that seven transcription factor(TF)families showed significantly greater numbers of members in the coriander genome than in the carrot genome.The highest ratio of the numbers of MADS TFs between coriander and carrot reached 3.15,followed by those for tubby protein(TUB)and heat shock factors.As a demonstration of CGDB applications,we identified 17 TUB family genes and conducted systematic comparative and evolutionary analyses.RNA-seq data deposited in the CGDB also suggest dose compensation effects of gene expression in coriander.CGDB allows bulk downloading,significance searches,genome browser analyses,and BLAST searches for comparisons between coriander and other plants regarding genomics,gene families,gene collinearity,gene expression,and the metabolome.A detailed user manual and contact information are also available to provide support to the scientific research community and address scientific questions.CGDB will be continuously updated,and new data will be integrated for comparative and functional genomic analysis in Apiaceae and other related plants.Xiaoming Song Fulei Nie Wei Chen Xiao Ma Ke Gong Qihang Yang Jinpeng Wang Nan Li Pengchuan Sun Qiaoying Pei Tong Yu Jingjing Hu Xinyu Li Tong Wu Shuyan Feng Xiu-Qing Li Xiyin Wang 2020Horticulture Research2020,7,1:4

20Physicochemical properties,antimicrobial activity and oil release of fish gelatin films incorporated with cinnamon essential oil显示文摘Fish skin gelatin films incorporated with various concentrations of cinnamon essential oil(CEO)were prepared and characterized.The results showed that tensile strength(TS),elongation at break(EAB),and water content(WC)of the gelatin based film decreased with the increasing concentrations of CEO,but water vapor permeability(WVP)increased.Addition of CEO improved light barrier property of the film.The Scanning electron microscope(SEM)showed that the heterogeneous surface and porous formation appeared in gelatin-CEO films.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analyses(FTIR-ATR)spectra indicated the interactions existed between gelatin and CEO.The gelatin-CEO films exhibited good inhibitory effects against the tested microorganisms(Escherichia coli,Staphylococcus aureus,Aspergillus niger,Rhizopus oryzae,and Paecilomyces varioti)and their antifungal activity seemed to be more effective than the resistance to bacterial growth.In vitro release studies showed an initial burst effect of CEO release and that subsequently slowed down at 40℃,but the initial burst release was not obvious at 4℃.The obtained results suggested that incorporation of CEO as a natural antimicrobial agent into gelatin film has potential for developing as active food packaging.Jiulin Wu Xinyu Sun Xiaoban Guo Shangying Ge Qiqing Zhang 2017Aquaculture and Fisheries2017,2,4:4
