2Emergence of a novel reassortant avian influenza virus(H10N3) in Eastern China with high pathogenicity and respiratory droplet transmissibility to mammals显示文摘Decades have passed since the first discovery of H10-subtype avian influenza virus(AIV) in chickens in 1949,and it has been detected in many species including mammals such as minks,pigs,seals and humans.Cases of human infections with H10N8viruses identified in China in 2013 have raised widespread attention.Two novel reassortant H10N3 viruses were isolated from chickens in December 2019 in eastern China during routine surveillance for AIVs.The internal genes of these viruses were derived from genotype S(G57) H9N2 and were consistent with H5N6,H7N9 and H10N8,which cause fatal infections in humans.Their viral pathogenicity and transmissibility were further studied in different animal models.The two H10N3 isolates had low pathogenicity in chickens and were transmitted between chickens via direct contact.These viruses were highly pathogenic in mice and could be transmitted between guinea pigs via direct contact and respiratory droplets.More importantly,these viruses can bind to both human-type SAα-2,6-Gal receptors and avian-type SAα-2,3-Gal receptors.Asymptomatic shedding in chickens and good adaptability to mammals of these H10N3 isolates would make it easier to transmit to humans and pose a threat to public health.Kaituo Liu Pingyun Ding Yuru Pei Ruyi Gao Wenwen Han Huafen Zheng Zhuxing Ji Miao Cai Jinyuan Gu Xiuli Li Min Gu Jiao Hu Xiaowen Liu Shunlin Hu Pinghu Zhang Xiaobo Wang Xiaoquan Wang Xiufan Liu 2022Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5:1

5Quantum NETwork:from theory to practice显示文摘The quantum internet is envisioned as the ultimate stage of the quantum revolution,which surpasses its classical counterpart in various aspects,such as the efficiency of data transmission,the security of network services,and the capability of information processing.Given its disruptive impact on the national security and the digital economy,a global race to build scalable quantum networks has already begun.With the joint effort of national governments,industrial participants,and research institutes,the development of quantum networks has advanced rapidly in recent years,bringing the first primitive quantum networks within reach.In this work,we aim to provide an up-to-date review of the field of quantum networks from both theoretical and experimental perspectives,contributing to a better understanding of the building blocks required for the establishment of a global quantum internet.We also introduce a newly developed quantum network toolkit to facilitate the exploration and evaluation of innovative ideas.Particularly,it provides dual quantum computing engines,supporting simulations in both the quantum circuit and measurement-based models.It also includes a compilation scheme for mapping quantum network protocols onto quantum circuits,enabling their emulations on real-world quantum hardware devices.We showcase the power of this toolkit with several featured demonstrations,including a simulation of the Micius quantum satellite experiment,a testing of a four-layer quantum network architecture with resource management,and a quantum emulation of the CHSH game.We hope this work can give a better understanding of the state-of-the-art development of quantum networks and provide the necessary tools to make further contributions along the way.Kun FANG Jingtian ZHAO Xiufan LI Yifei LI Runyao DUAN 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,8:0
