| 2 | Programmed Death Ligand-1 on Microglia Regulates Th1 Differentiation via Nitric Oxide in Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis显示文摘Microglia are considered to be potential antigen-presenting cells and have the ability to present antigen under pathological conditions. Nevertheless, whether and how microglia are involved in immune regulation are largely unknown. Here, we investigated the suppressive activity of microglia during experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis(EAE) induced by myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein, with the goal of understanding their role in regulating the T cell reaction. Using flow cytometric analysis, we found that microglia were characterized by increased cell number and up-regulated programmed death ligand-1(PD-L1) at the peak phase of EAE. Meanwhile,both the CD^(4+)T cells and microglia that infiltrated the central nervous system expressed higher levels of PD1, the receptor for PD-L1, accompanied by a decline of Th1 cells.In an ex vivo co-culture system, microglia from EAE mice inhibited the proliferation of antigen-specific CD^(4+)T cells and the differentiation of Th1 cells, and this was significantly inhibited by PD-L1 blockade. Further,microglia suppressed Th1 cells via nitric oxide(NO), the production of which was dependent on PD-L1. | 6 | Macro-phenomenological high-strain-rate elastic fracture model for ice-impact simulations显示文摘The ice impact can cause a severe damage to an aircraft’s exposed structure,thus,requiring its prevention.The numerical simulation represents an effective method to overcome this challenge.The establishment of the ice material model is critical.However,ice is not a common structural material and exhibits an extremely complex material behavior.The material models of ice reported so far are not able to accurately simulate the ice behavior at high strain rates.This study proposes a novel high-precision macro-phenomenological elastic fracture model based on the brittle behavior of ice at high strain rates.The developed model has been compared with five reported models by using the smoothed particle hydrodynamics method so as to simulate the ice-impact process with respect to the impact speeds and ice shapes.The important metrics and phenomena(impact force history,deformation and fragmentation of the ice projectile and deflection of the target)were compared with the experimental data reported in the literature.The findings obtained from the developed model are observed to be most consistent with the experimental data,which demonstrates that the model represents the basic physics and phenomena governing the ice impact at high strain rates.The developed model includes a relatively fewer number of material parameters.Further,the used parameters have a clear physical meaning and can be directly obtained through experiments.Moreover,no adjustment of any material parameter is needed,and the consumption duration is also acceptable.These advantages indicate that the developed model is suitable for simulating the iceimpact process and can be applied for the anti-ice impact design in aviation. | Jiang FAN Qinghao YUAN Fulei JING Guangchen BAI Xiuli SHEN | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,3: | 0 |
| 7 | Analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on some medical institutions in a certain region显示文摘Objective:This study is designed to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on hospitals in a certain region through the statistical comparison of outpatient,emergency and inpatient data of three representative AAA hospitals in this region from January and February of 2019 and 2020.Methods:Relevant outpatient,emergency and inpatient data of three representative AAA hospitals in a certain region from January and February of 2019 and 2020 were collected,and the statistical analysis was conducted by using EXCEL 2019 and SPSS20.0.Results:In January and February of 2020,the number of the outpatient,the emergency,the inpatient and the inpatient surgical interventions in the three hospitals was significantly decreased in comparison with the same period in 2019,and the change of the emergency dispatching amount was relatively small.The mortality of the inpatient in January and February in 2020 was about 2.82%,and that in the same period in 2019 was about 1.51%,with an increase of about 1.31%,which presented a statistically significant difference(χ^(2)=348.422;p=.000).Conclusions:The outbreak of COVID-19 had a great impact on the normal operation of the hospital. | Junliang Li Junying Li Huiqin Zhang Xiuli Bai Lingfeng Wang | 2020 | Discussion of Clinical Cases2020,7,4: | 0 |

Both SHS and STS molecules adsorb on the HOPG surface and form long-range well-ordered monolayers. The neighboring molecules in different rows form a 'head to head' configuration.
