| 2 | Convergence of multi-block Bregman ADMM for nonconvex composite problems显示文摘The alternating direction method with multipliers(ADMM) is one of the most powerful and successful methods for solving various composite problems. The convergence of the conventional ADMM(i.e.,2-block) for convex objective functions has been stated for a long time, and its convergence for nonconvex objective functions has, however, been established very recently. The multi-block ADMM, a natural extension of ADMM, is a widely used scheme and has also been found very useful in solving various nonconvex optimization problems. It is thus expected to establish the convergence of the multi-block ADMM under nonconvex frameworks. In this paper, we first justify the convergence of 3-block Bregman ADMM. We next extend these results to the N-block case(N≥3), which underlines the feasibility of multi-block ADMM applications in nonconvex settings. | 3 | Focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 regulates bone homeostasis in mice显示文摘Our recent studies demonstrate that the focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 is critical for chondrogenesis and early skeletal development. Here, we show that deleting Kindlin-2 from osteoblasts using the 2.3-kb mouse Col1 a1-Cre transgene minimally impacts bone mass in mice, but deleting Kindlin-2 using the 10-kb mouse Dmp1-Cre transgene, which targets osteocytes and mature osteoblasts, results in striking osteopenia in mice. Kindlin-2 loss reduces the osteoblastic population but increases the osteoclastic and adipocytic populations in the bone microenvironment. Kindlin-2 loss upregulates sclerostin in osteocytes,downregulates β-catenin in osteoblasts, and inhibits osteoblast formation and differentiation in vitro and in vivo. Upregulation ofβ-catenin in the mutant cells reverses the osteopenia induced by Kindlin-2 deficiency. Kindlin-2 loss additionally increases the expression of RANKL in osteocytes and increases osteoclast formation and bone resorption. Kindlin-2 deletion in osteocytes promotes osteoclast formation in osteocyte/bone marrow monocyte cocultures, which is significantly blocked by an anti-RANKLneutralizing antibody. | 4 | Selective esterification of glycerol with acetic acid to diacetin using antimony pentoxide as reusable catalyst显示文摘Glycerol can be obtained as a by-product during biodiesel manufacture. It is important to convert glycerol to value-added products. Glycerol esterification with acetic acid is one of the most promising approaches for glycerol utilization. It is usually difficult to obtain diacetin with good activity and selectivity. In this work, glycerol esterification with acetic acid over different metal oxides, such as Bi2O3, Sb2O3, Sn O2, Ti O2, Nb2O5 and Sb2O5, was investigated. It was found that in the six investigated metal oxides, only Sb2O5 resulted in good activity and selectivity to diacetin. Under the optimized conditions, the glycerol conversion reached 96.8%,and the selectivity to diacetin reached 54.2%, while the selectivity to monoacetin and triacetin was 33.2% and12.6%, respectively. The catalysts were characterized with FT-IR spectra of adsorbed pyridine, which indicated that in the six investigated metal oxides, only Sb2O5 possessed Br?nsted acid sites strong enough to protonate adsorbed pyridine. The good catalytic activity and selectivity to diacetin might be mainly attributable to the Br?nsted acid sites of Sb2O5. | 5 | Biochar Supported Nanoscale Zero-valent Iron Composites for the Removal of Petroleum from Wastewater显示文摘Considering the need for efficiently and rapidly treating oily wastewater while preventing secondary pollution,the nanoscale zero-valent iron(nZVI)was supported on biochar prepared by using a spent mushroom substrate(SMS),to produce an iron-carbon composite(SMS-nZVI).The ability of the SMS-nZVI to treat wastewater containing high concentration of oil was then comprehensively evaluated.The morphology,structure,and other properties of the composite were characterized by using scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller nitrogen sorption analysis,and the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The results show that the biochar prepared by using the SMS can effectively prevent the agglomeration of nZVI and increase the overall specific surface area,thereby enhancing the absorption of petroleum by the composite.Experiments reveal that compared with the SMS and nZVI,the SMS-nZVI composite removes petroleum faster and more efficiently from wastewater.Under optimized conditions involving an nZVI to biochar mass ratio of 1:5 and a pH value of 4,the efficiency for removal of petroleum from wastewater with an initial petroleum concentration of 1000 mg/L could reach 95%within 5 h.Based on a natural aging treatment involving exposure to air for 30 d,the SMS-nZVI composite retained an oil removal rate of higher than 62%,and this result could highlight its stability for practical applications. | Qin Feifei Xu Wenfei Hao Boyu Yin Linghao Song Jiayu Zhang Xiuxia | 2021 | China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2021,23,4: | 2 |
| 6 | Versatile subtypes of pericytes and their roles in spinal cord injury repair,bone development and repair显示文摘Vascular regeneration is a challenging topic in tissue repair. As one of the important components of the neurovascular unit(NVU),pericytes play an essential role in the maintenance of the vascular network of the spinal cord. To date, subtypes of pericytes have been identified by various markers, namely the PDGFR-β, Desmin, CD146, and NG2, each of which is involved with spinal cord injury(SCI) repair. In addition, pericytes may act as a stem cell source that is important for bone development and regeneration, whilst specific subtypes of pericyte could facilitate bone fracture and defect repair. One of the major challenges of pericyte biology is to determine the specific markers that would clearly distinguish the different subtypes of pericytes, and to develop efficient approaches to isolate and propagate pericytes. | 7 | Zeolite templated carbon nanodots for broadband ultrafast pulsed fiber laser generation显示文摘Carbon nanodots(C-dots) with a uniform size of about 2 nm are synthesized via in situ pyrolysis of n-propylamine that is confined in the nanochannels of zeolite Linde Type A(LTA). The as-synthesized C-dots@LTA composite shows nonlinear optical saturable absorption properties in a broad wavelength band and can be used as saturable absorber(SA) to generate ultrafast pulsed fiber lasers. By inserting a zeolite LTA single crystal hosting C-dots into the fiber laser cavity, mode-locked fiber lasers with long-term operation stability at 1.5 μm and 1 μm are achieved. These results show that the C-dots@LTA are a promising SA material for ultrafast pulsed fiber laser generation in a broad wavelength band. | 14 | Responses of intra-annual runoff to forest recovery patterns in subtropical China显示文摘Forest recovery plays a critical role in regulating eco-hydrological processes in forested watersheds.However,characteristics of the intra-annual runoff variation associated with different forest recovery patterns remain poorly understood.In this study,three forest change periods were identified,the baseline period(1961-1985),reforestation period(1986-2000)and fruit tree planting period(2001-2016).We selected the magnitude of seasonal runoff(wet and dry seasons)and distribution characteristics,i.e.,non-uniformity coefficient(C_(v)),complete accommodation coefficient(C_(r)),concentration ratio(C_(n)),concentration period(C_(d)),absolute variation ratio(ΔR)and relative variation ratio(C_(max)).The pair-wise approach evaluated the intra-annual runoff variation characteristics between forest change periods.Results indicate that reforestation decreased wet season runoff and increased dry season runoff.In contrast,fruit tree planting increased wet season runoff and had no significant effect on dry season runoff.For intra-annual runoff distribution characteristics,reforestation significantly reduced the C_(v),C_(r),C_(n)and C_(max).Distribution of the intra-annual runoff in the fruit tree planting period was not significantly different from the baseline.We concluded that reforestation reduced the occurance of extreme water conditions in wet and dry seasons and effectively increased the stability of the intra-annual runoff.In contrast,fruit tree planting increased instability and fluctuation of the intra-annual runoff after reforestation.The characteristics of the intra-annual runoff to fruit tree planting was similar to those of the baseline.Therefore,adopting fruit tree planting practices to regulate intra-annual runoff characteristics may not be a practical approach,and impacts of different reforestation practices should be ascertained in our study region.The implications of this study should guide regional land-water management,and this study adds to the understanding of the impacts gained in forest cover on hydrology. | Zhipeng Xu Wenfei Liu Qiang Li Jianping Wu Honglang Duan Guomin Huang Yizao Ge | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,4: | 0 |

In order to finalize the crystal size of BGO block unit for our PET system, the detection efficiency, energy resolution and the linearity have been studied for three types of BGO rectangular detector units with the dimension of 20×20×10mm^3, 20×20×20mm^3 and 20×20×30mm^3 respectively.
