| 3 | Optimization of Protein Extraction and Decoloration Conditions for Tea Residues显示文摘To optimize alkaline method for extracting proteins from tea residue(TR), the effect of extraction conditions on tea protein extraction rate(TPER) was investigated. Single factor experiment showed the extraction temperature 80 °C, extraction time 100 min, p H value 13 and liquid–solid ratio 40:1 as the optimal extraction conditions. The orthogonal test revealed that the maximum TPER reached 29.71% under the following optimal combination of conditions: extraction temperature 70 °C, extraction time 60 min, p H 12 and liquid–solid ratio 50:1. For optimizing the purification of tea residue proteins, isoelectric point precipitation(p I), ammonium sulfate precipitation(a S) and isoelectric point plus ammonium sulfate precipitation(i PAS) were compared. The result showed that the highest protein precipitation rate(PPR) was 89.70% which was generated by using i PAS. | 4 | A preliminary study of variations of the Changjiang Diluted Water between August of 1999 and 2006显示文摘A large area hypoxia has been already reported respectively by two interdisciplinary surveys off the Changjiang Estuary since summer of 1999 and 2006.The hypoxic zone shows distinct year-to-year variations.Observed oceanographic data are first analysized and reveal a big difference for the Changjiang Diluted Water(CDW) between these two periods.These great changes are related to the tremendous reduction of the freshwater discharge and variations of wind fields between these two years.It is also found that the monthly mean intrusion of Kuroshio and its branches has increased in the northern East China Sea(ECS),but decreased in the southern ECS in August of 2006 as compared with 1999 on the base of general circulation models.Then,the Regional Ocean Modelling Systems is applied to the East China Sea to evaluate the contributions and relative importance of impacts from the river discharge,wind forcing and open boundary data.Our simulations reproduce the phenomena that more fresh water extends northeastward in 2006 and forms a negative SSS anomaly to the northeast of the river mouth as compared with 1999,which is consistent with observations.The five group numerical tests suggest that the wind forcing dominates the CDW variations followed by the Kuroshio and its branches.The study implies important roles played by hydrodynamic processes on the variability of hypoxic zone in the study areas. | ZHOU Feng XUAN Jiliang NI Xiaobo HUANG Daji | 2009 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,6: | 8 |
| 5 | Electrical conductivity of hydrous silicate melts and aqueous fluids: Measurement and applications显示文摘The combination of magnetotelluric survey and laboratory measurements of electrical conductivity is a powerful approach for exploring the conditions of Earth's deep interior. Electrical conductivity of hydrous silicate melts and aqueous fluids is sensitive to composition, temperature, and pressure, making it useful for understanding partial melting and fluid activity at great depths. This study presents a review on the experimental studies of electrical conductivity of silicate melts and aqueous fluids, and introduces some important applications of experimental results. For silicate melts, electrical conductivity increases with increasing temperature but decreases with pressure. With a similar Na^+ concentration, along the calc-alkaline series electrical conductivity generally increases from basaltic to rhyolitic melt, accompanied by a decreasing activation enthalpy. Electrical conductivity of silicate melts is strongly enhanced with the incorporation of water due to promoted cation mobility. For aqueous fluids, research is focused on dilute electrolyte solutions. Electrical conductivity typically first increases and then decreases with increasing temperature, and increases with pressure before approaching a plateau value. The dissociation constant of electrolyte can be derived from conductivity data. | 6 | Underwater vs conventional endoscopic mucosal resection in treatment of colorectal polyps:A meta-analysis显示文摘BACKGROUND Underwater endoscopic mucosal resection(UEMR)of colorectal lesions is emerging as an alternative method to conventional endoscopic mucosal resection(EMR);however,it is still controversial whether there is a difference in the effectiveness between UEMR and EMR.AIM To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of UEMR in the treatment of colorectal polyps.METHODS Clinical studies comparing the effectiveness or safety of UEMR in the treatment of colorectal polyps were searched in medical databases,including Pub Med,Embase,Cochrane Library,CNKI,and Wanfang Data,monographs,theses,and papers presented at conferences.Statistical analyses were performed using Revman 5.3 software.RESULTS Seven non-randomized controlled trials and one randomized controlled trial met the inclusion criteria.In total,1382 patients(1511 polyps)were included in the study,including 722 who received UEMR and 789 who received EMR.In the UEMR and EMR groups,the en bloc resection rates were 85.87%and 73.89%,respectively,with a relative risk(RR)value of 1.14(95%confidence interval[CI]:1.01-1.30;P<0.05).In the sub-group analysis,the en bloc resection rate showed no statistically significant difference between the EMR and UEMR groups for polyps less than 20 mm in diameter.However,a statistically significant difference was found between the EMR and UEMR groups for polyps equal to or greater than 20 mm in diameter.The post-endoscopic resection recurrence rates at 3-6 mo of the UEMR and EMR groups were 3.26%and 15.17%,respectively,with an RR value of 0.27(95%CI:0.09-0.83;P<0.05).The post-endoscopic resection recurrence rates of UEMR and EMR at 12 mo were 6.25%and 14.40%,respectively,with an RR value of 0.43(95%CI:0.20-0.92;P<0.05).Additionally,the incidence of adverse events was 8.17%and 6.21%,respectively,with an RR value of 1.07(95%CI:0.50-2.30;P>0.05).CONCLUSION UEMR is an effective technique for colorectal polyps and appears to have some advantages over EMR,particularly with regard to some treatment outcomes. | Dong-Qiong Ni Yu-Ping Lu Xi-Qiao Liu Li-Ying Gao Xuan Huang | 2020 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2020,8,20: | 6 |
| 7 | Water and partial melting of Earth's mantle显示文摘Water plays a crucial role in the melting of Earth's mantle. Mantle magmatisms mostly occur at plate boundaries(including subduction zones and mid-ocean ridges) and in some intraplate regions with thermal anomaly. At oceanic subduction zones, water released by the subducted slab may induce melting of the overlying mantle wedge or even the slab itself, giving rise to arc magmatism, or may evolve into a supercritical fluid. The physicochemical conditions for the formation of slab melt and supercritical fluid are still under debate. At mid-ocean ridges and intraplate hot zones, water and CO_2 cause melting of the upwelling mantle to occur at greater depths and in greater extents. Low degree melting of the mantle may occur at boundaries between Earth's internal spheres, including the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary(LAB), the upper mantletransition zone boundary, and the transition zone-lower mantle boundary, usually attributed to contrasting water storage capacity across the boundary. The origin for the stimulating effect of water on melting lies in that water as an incompatible component has a strong tendency to be enriched in the melt(i.e., with a mineral-melt partition coefficient much smaller than unity), thereby lowering the Gibbs free energy of the melt. | 11 | Sod gene of Curvularia lunata is associated with the virulence in maize leaf显示文摘Curvularia leaf spot,caused mainly by Curvularia lunata,is a widespread plant disease in China. In the recent years,directional host selection by the pathogen,which likely results in the virulence differentiation in pathogens,is widely reported. Among the hallmarks potentially associated to pathogen variation in virulence,superoxide dismutase gene Sod has been found to be closely related to the enhancement of virulence. In the present study,the full-length of Sod was obtained via Blastn alignment against Gen Bank and the whole genome of C. lunata. In order to understand the role of Sod in the virulence variation in C. lunata,targeted gene disruption was performed to construct Sod mutants. The cell wall degrading enzyme(CWDE)activities and toxin production of ΔSod were not distinctly different from wild-type strain CX-3 and its complon. However,at an early stage of infection,ΔSod virulence appeared to be lower than CX-3 and the complon,while at a later stage,its virulence gradually returned to the level of CX-3 and the complon. Furthermore,the melanin production of ΔSod was significantly reduced compared to CX-3 and the complon,suggesting that Sod gene influences the virulence by regulating melanin production at an early stage of infection but is not essential for pathogenicity. However,the disruption of Sod did not significantly affect the transcriptional expression of the melanin biosynthesis-associated genes,brn1 and scd. Our results showed that Co-1-P@CC, formed by electropolymerizing Co tetrakis(p-N-pyrrolylphenyl)porphyrin(Co-1-P) on carbon cloth(CC), is the most active OER catalyst in the examined Co porphyrins and corroles in alkaline aqueous solutions by displaying an onset overpotential of 380 m V. | 13 | Comparative genomics of Helicobacter pylori显示文摘Genomic sequences have been determined for a number of strains of Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) and related bacteria. With the development of microarray analysis and the wide use of subtractive hybridization techniques, comparative studies have been carried out with respect to the interstrain differences between H pylori and inter-species differences in the genome of related bacteria. It was found that the core genome of H pylori constitutes 1111 genes that are determinants of the species properties. A great pool of auxillary genes are mainly from the categories of cag pathogenicity islands, outer membrane proteins, restriction-modification system and hypothetical proteins of unknown function. Persistence of H pylori in the human stomach leads to the diversification of the genome. Comparative genomics suggest that a host jump has occurs from humans to felines. Candidate genes specific for the development of the gastric diseases were identified.
