2Neutrophil-mimicking therapeutic nanoparticles for targeted chemotherapy of pancreatic carcinoma显示文摘Due to the critical correlation between inflammation and carcinogenesis, a therapeutic candidate with anti-inflammatory activity may find application in cancer therapy. Here, we report the therapeutic efficacy of celastrol as a promising candidate compound for treatment of pancreatic carcinoma via na?ve neutrophil membrane-coated poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether-block-poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)(PEG-PLGA) nanoparticles. Neutrophil membranecoated nanoparticles(NNPs) are well demonstrated to overcome the blood pancreas barrier to achieve pancreas-specific drug delivery in vivo. Using tumor-bearing mice xenograft model, NNPs showed selective accumulations at the tumor site following systemic administration as compared to nanoparticles without neutrophil membrane coating. In both orthotopic and ectopic tumor models,celastrol-loaded NNPs demonstrated greatly enhanced tumor inhibition which significantly prolonged the survival of tumor bearing mice and minimizing liver metastases. 3MAV/UAV task coalition phased-formation method显示文摘The formation of the manned aerial vehicle/unmanned aerial vehicle(MAV/UAV) task coalition is considered. To reduce the scale of the problem, the formation progress is divided into three phases. For the task clustering phase, the geographical position of tasks is taken into consideration and a cluster method is proposed. For the UAV allocation phase, the UAV requirement for both constrained and unconstrained resources is introduced, and a multi-objective optimal algorithm is proposed to solve the allocation problem. For the MAV allocation phase, the optimal model is firstly constructed and it is decomposed according to the ideal of greed to reduce the time complexity of the algorithm. 4Quality of life and emotional change for middle -aged and elderly patients with diabetic retinopathy显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the SF-36, Diabetes Specificity Quality of Life Scale (DSQL) and anxiety and depression symptoms and investigate its changes in proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) by vitrectomy interventions. METHODS:The present study included 108 diabetic retinopathy (DR) patients:54 with PDR and 54 with non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy (NPDR). Each healthy control group (n =54) sociodemographically matched to DR groups was established respectively. The quality of life, anxiety and depression symptoms were evaluated and analyzed on preoperative and postoperative month 1 using SF-36, DSQL and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS). · RESULTS:DR patients described impaired HRQL (Health Related Quality of life, SF -36) in 6 out of 8 subscales, including ‘Body Health’, ‘Body RoleFunction’,‘General Health’,‘Society Function’,‘Emotion Role Function’and‘Mental Health’. Compared with controls, DR patients (NPDR and PDR) suffered from statistically significantly impaired HRQL (SF-36 Summary score) (P< 0.05). By surgical intervention, the anxiety and depression score were significantly reduced, while the health and quality of life (SF-36 Summary scores and DSQL scores) was improved in patients with PDR (P <0.05). CONCLUSION:DR patients were affected in mentation and quality of life. 5Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 6Prognostic significance of computed tomography-detected extramural vascular invasion in colon cancer显示文摘AIM: To compare disease-free survival(DFS) between extramural vascular invasion(EMVI)-positive and-negative colon cancer patients evaluated by computed tomography(CT).METHODS: Colon cancer patients(n = 194) undergoing curative surgery between January 2009 and December 2013 were included. Each patient's demographics, cancer characteristics, EMVI status, pathological status and survival outcomes were recorded. All included patients had been routinely monitored until December 2015. EMVI was defined as tumor tissue within adjacent vessels beyond the colon wall as seen on enhanced CT. Disease recurrence was defined as metachronous metastases, local recurrence, or death due to colon cancer. Kaplan-Meier analyses were used to compare DFS between the EMVI-positive and-negative groups. Cox's proportional hazards models were used to measure the impact of confounding variables on survival rates.RESULTS: EMVI was observed on CT(ct EMVI) in 60 patients(30.9%, 60/194). One year after surgery, there was no statistically significant difference regarding the rates of progressive events between EMVI-positive and-negative patients [11.7%(7/60) and 6.7%(9/134), respectively; P = 0.266]. At the study endpoint, the EMVI-positive patients had significantly more progressive events than the EMVI-negative patients [43.3%(26/60) and 14.9%(20/134), respectively; oddsratio = 4.4, P < 0.001]. Based on the Kaplan-Meier method, the cumulative 1-year DFS rates were 86.7%(95%CI: 82.3-91.1) and 92.4%(95%CI: 90.1-94.7) for EMVI-positive and EMVI-negative patients, respectively. The cumulative 3-year DFS rates were 49.5%(95%CI: 42.1-56.9) and 85.8%(95%CI: 82.6-89.0), respectively. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis revealed that ctE MVI was an independent predictor of DFS with a hazard ratio of 2.15(95%CI: 1.12-4.14, P = 0.023). 7Seasonal changes of organic matter origins and anammox activity in the Changjiang Estuary deduced from multi-biomarkers in suspended particulates显示文摘Human activity-induced eutrophication and harmful algal blooms are main causes of the expansion of the hypoxic zone in the Changjiang Estuary. Among the many changes in biogeochemical processes, anaerobic ammonium oxidation(anammox) is proposed to play an important role in the nitrogen cycle in hypoxic areas. Ladderane lipids have been used as biomarkers to indicate anammox activity in ecosystems, but the origins of anammox bacteria and ladderanes in suspended particulates are still unclear. In this study, we report the results of a suite of biomarker analyses of suspended particulates across a salinity gradient of the Changjiang Estuary in both the spring and summer to evaluate the origins of the ladderanes and their potential as proxies for anammox activity and hypoxia. The spatio-temporal variations in terrestrial biomarkers(n-alkanes and n-alkanols), marine biomarkers(brassicasterol and dinosterol), and the Terrestrial and Marine Biomarker Ratio and Branched and Isoprenoid Tetraether indices reveal that marine organic matter was dominant in the particulates in both the spring(55%) and summer(86%) seasons. Correlations with both marine and terrestrial biomarkers suggest that ladderanes were mainly produced in the water column, and therefore that ladderane concentrations in suspended particulates in the Changjiang Estuary mainly reflect anammox activity in the water column, although changes in anammox bacterial assemblages may also have played a role in ladderane concentrations. 8Rupture process of the 2015 Pishan earthquake from joint inversion of InSAR, teleseismic data and GPS显示文摘An earthquake of Mw6.4 occurred in Pishan County in Xinjiang Province, northwestern Tibetan Plateau, on July 3,2015. The epicenter was located on an active blind thrust system located at the northern margin of the Western Kunlun Mountain Orogenic Belt southwest of the Tarim Basin. We constructed a shovel-shaped fault model based on the layered-crust model with reference to the seismic reflection profile, and obtained the rupture process of the earthquake from the joint inversion of Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar(InSAR) measurements, far-field waveform data, and Global Positioning System(GPS) data. The results show that the seismic fault dips southward with a strike of 109°, and the rupture direction was essentially northward. The fault plane rupture distribution is concentrated, with a maximum recorded slip of 73 cm. The main features of the fault are as follows: low inclination angle(25°–10°), thrust slip at a depth of 9–13 km, rupture propagation time of about 12 s, no significant slip in soft or hard sedimentary layers at 0–4 km depth and propagation from the initial rupture point to the surrounding area with no obvious directionality. The InSAR time-series analysis method is used to determine the deformation rate in the source region within 2 years after the earthquake, and the maximum value is ~17 mm yr-1 in the radar line-of-sight direction. Obvious post-earthquake deformation is evident in the hanging wall, with a similar trend to the coseismic displacement field. These results suggest that the Pishan earthquake has not completely released the accumulated energy of the region, given that the multilayer fold structure above the blind fault is still in a process of slow uplift since the earthquake. 10The genome of Magnolia biondii Pamp. provides insights into the evolution of Magnoliales and biosynthesis of terpenoids显示文摘Magnolia biondii Pamp.(Magnoliaceae,magnoliids)is a phylogenetically,economically,and medicinally important ornamental tree species widely grown and cultivated in the north-temperate regions of China.Determining the genome sequence of M.biondii would help resolve the phylogenetic uncertainty of magnoliids and improve the understanding of individual trait evolution within the Magnolia genus.We assembled a chromosome-level reference genome of M.biondii using~67,~175,and~154Gb of raw DNA sequences generated via Pacific Biosciences single-molecule real-time sequencing,10X Genomics Chromium,and Hi-C scaffolding strategies,respectively.The final genome assembly was~2.22Gb,with a contig N50 value of 269.11 kb and a BUSCO complete gene percentage of 91.90%.Approximately 89.17%of the genome was organized into 19 chromosomes,resulting in a scaffold N50 of 92.86Mb.The genome contained 47,547 protein-coding genes,accounting for 23.47%of the genome length,whereas 66.48%of the genome length consisted of repetitive elements.We confirmed a WGD event that occurred very close to the time of the split between the Magnoliales and Laurales.Functional enrichment of the Magnolia-specific and expanded gene families highlighted genes involved in the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites,plant–pathogen interactions,and responses to stimuli,which may improve the ecological fitness and biological adaptability of the lineage.Phylogenomic analyses revealed a sister relationship of magnoliids and Chloranthaceae,which are sister to a clade comprising monocots and eudicots.The genome sequence of M.biondii could lead to trait improvement,germplasm conservation,and evolutionary studies on the rapid radiation of early angiosperms.Shanshan Dong Min Liu Yang Liu Fei Chen Ting Yang Lu Chen Xingtan Zhang Xing Guo Dongming Fang Linzhou Li Tian Deng Zhangxiu Yao Xiaoan Lang Yiqing Gong Ernest Wu Yaling Wang Yamei Shen Xun Gong Huan Liu Shouzhou Zhang 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:4
114-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone Induces Circulating MicroRNA Deregulation in Early Lung Carcinogenesis显示文摘Objective To study the alteration of circulating microRNAs in 4-(methylnitrosamino)-1-(3-pyridyl)-1-butanone(NNK)-induced early stage lung carcinogenesis. Methods A lung cancer model of male F344 rats was induced with systemic NNK and levels of 8 lung cancer-associated miRNAs in whole blood and serum of rats were measured by quantitative RT-PCR of each at weeks 1,5,10,and 20 following NNK treatment. Results No lung cancer was detected in control group and NNK treatment group at week 20 following NNK treatment. The levels of some circulating miRNAs were significantly higher in NNK treatment group than in control group. The miR-210 was down-regulated and the miR-206 was up-regulated in NNK treatment group. The expression level of circulating miRNAs changed from week 1 to week 20 following NNK treatment. 12Remote,selective,and in situ manipulation of liquid droplets on a femtosecond laser-structured superhydrophobic shape-memory polymer by near-infrared light显示文摘Droplet manipulation plays a significant role in the fields of biomedical detection,microfluidics,and chemical engineering.However,it still remains a great challenge to simultaneously achieve remote,selective,and in situ droplet manipulation on the same surface.Here,Fe_(3)O_(4)nanoparticles were doped in a shape-memory polymer(SMP)to prepare a photothermal-responsive Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP composite which showed remarkable near-infrared(NIR)light-triggered shape-memory property.Superhydrophobic micropillar array was constructed on such Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP composite through femtosecond laser microfabrication and fluoroalkylsilane modification.The surface wettability of the as-prepared surface can transform from a low-adhesive sliding state to a high-adhesive pinning state as the micropillars are deformed by pressing.Interestingly,the deformed micropillars can stand up and restore to their original morphology under remote NIR light irradiation,resulting in the reversible and repeatable recovery of the ultralow-adhesive superhydrophobicity.With such light-triggered wettability switching,the droplets pinning on the sample surface can be remotely,selectively,and in situ released.Furthermore,the superhydrophobic Fe_(3)O_(4)-SMP surface is successfully applied in lossless liquid transfer,selective droplet release,and droplet-based microreactor.The as-fabricated superhydrophobic surfaces with NIR light-controlled reversible wettability will hold great promise in the fields of liquid manipulation,lab-on-a-chip,and microfluidics.Xue Bai Jiale Yong Chao Shan Yao Fang Xun Hou Feng Chen 2021Science China Chemistry2021,64,5:3
13The baroreflex afferent pathway plays a critical role in H_(2)S-mediated autonomic control of blood pressure regulation under physiological and hypertensive conditions显示文摘Hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S),which is closely related to various cardiovascular disorders,lowers blood pressure(BP),but whether this action is mediated via the modification of baroreflex afferent function has not been elucidated.Therefore,the current study aimed to investigate the role of the baroreflex afferent pathway in H_(2)S-mediated autonomic control of BP regulation.The results showed that baroreflex sensitivity(BRS)was increased by acute intravenous NaHS(a H_(2)S donor)administration to renovascular hypertensive(RVH)and control rats.Molecular expression data also showed that the expression levels of critical enzymes related to H_(2)S were aberrantly downregulated in the nodose ganglion(NG)and nucleus tractus solitarius(NTS)in RVH rats.A clear reduction in BP by the microinjection of NaHS or L-cysteine into the NG was confirmed in both RVH and control rats,and a less dramatic effect was observed in model rats.Furthermore,the beneficial effects of NaHS administered by chronic intraperitoneal infusion on dysregulated systolic blood pressure(SBP),cardiac parameters,and BRS were verified in RVH rats.Moreover,the increase in BRS was attributed to activation and upregulation of the ATP-sensitive potassium(KATP)channels Kir6.2 and SUR1,which are functionally expressed in the NG and NTS.In summary,H_(2)S plays a crucial role in the autonomic control of BP regulation by improving baroreflex afferent function due at least in part to increased KATP channel expression in the baroreflex afferent pathway under physiological and hypertensive conditions.Ying Li Yan Feng Li Liu Xue Li Xin-yu Li Xun Sun Ke-xin Li Rong-rong Zha Hong-dan Wang Meng-di Zhang Xiong-xiong Fan Di Wu Yao Fan Hao-cheng Zhang Guo-fen Qiao Bai-yan Li 2021Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,6:3

16Macular choroidal thickness in Chinese preschool children: decrease with axial length but no evident change with age显示文摘AIM: To explore the distribution pattern of macular choroidal thickness(ChT) and its association with age as well as refractive status in Chinese preschoolers.METHODS: School-based, cross-sectional study. A total of 550 healthy preschool children aged 3 to 6 years old from 6 kindergartens were enrolled. Comprehensive ocular examinations, including measurement of visual acuity, axial length, intraocular pressure and slit-lamp examination before cycloplegia, as well as refraction measurement and sweptsource optical coherence tomography(SS-OCT) examination after cycloplegia, were performed. The macular ChT in each sector of the ETDRS grid was measured by the builtin software of SS-OCT.RESULTS: The mean central ChT of the participants was 312±59 μm. The mean axial length and spherical equivalent refraction were 22.36±0.72 mm and 1.51±0.83 D, respectively. Axial length increased with age(P<0.001), while the spherical equivalent refraction was similar among different age groups. Similarly, no significant difference was observed in ChT in all sectors among different age groups(all P>0.05). The central ChT of 3-4, 5 and 6 years old children was 314±59 μm, 312±60 μm and 312±59 μm, respectively(P=0.920). No difference was observed in ChT in most of the sectors between genders. No statistical significant difference was observed among different refractive groups(all P>0.05), though the ChT of each sector seemed to be smaller in myopic children. Axial length and weight were the independent factors of central Ch T. Children with longer axial length(β=-21.184, P<0.001) and smaller weight(β=1.502, P=0.041) tended to have thinner choroid.CONCLUSION: In preschool children, the ChT remains relatively stable with age, while a negative association between ChT and axial length existed. 19Distributed tasks-platforms scheduling method to holonic-C2 organization显示文摘To solve the problem of distributed tasks-platforms scheduling in holonic command and control(C2) organization,the basic elements of the organization are analyzed firstly and the formal description of organizational elements and structure is provided. Based on the improvement of task execution quality,a single task resource scheduling model is established and the solving method based on the m-best algorithm is proposed. For the problem of tactical decision-holon cannot handle tasks with low priority effectively, a distributed resource scheduling collaboration mechanism based on platform pricing and a platform exchange mechanism based on resource capacities are designed. Finally,a series of experiments are designed to prove the effectiveness of these methods. 20High-power linear-polarization burst-mode all-fibre laser and generation of frequency-adjustable microwave signal显示文摘Narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency is demonstrated by illuminating a photoconductive semiconductor switch(PCSS)with a burst-mode fibre laser.The whole system is composed of a high-power linearly polarized burst-mode pulsed fibre laser and a linear-state PCSS.To obtain a high-performance microwave signal,a desired envelope of burst is necessary and a pulse pre-compensation technique is adopted to avoid envelope distortion induced by the gain-saturation effect.Resulting from the technique,homogenous peak power distribution in each burst is ensured.The maximum energy of the laser burst pulse reaches 200μJ with a burst duration of 100 ns at the average power of 10 W,corresponding to a peak power of 4 kW.When the PCSS is illuminated by the burst-mode fibre laser,narrowband microwave generation with tuneable frequency(0.80-1.12 GHz)is obtained with a power up to 300 W.To the best of the authors’knowledge,it is the first demonstration of frequency-tuneable narrowband microwave generation based on a fibre laser.The high-power burst-mode fibre laser reported here has great potential for generating high-power arbitrary microwave signals for a great deal of applicable demands such as smart adaptive radar and intelligent high-power microwave systems.Xuan He Bin Zhang Shuailin Liu Jinmei Yao Qilin Wu Yuxin Zhao Tao Xun Linyong Yang Jing Hou 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2:2
