1Active velocity tomography for assessing rock burst hazards in a kilometer deep mine显示文摘Active velocity tomography was used to determine the stress state and rock burst hazards in a deep coal mine. The deepest longwall face, number 3207 in the Xingcun colliery, was the location of the field trials. The positive correlation between stress and seismic velocity was used to link the velocity data with stratum stresses. A GeoPen SE2404NT data acquisition system was used to collect seismic data from 300 g explosive charges fired by instantaneous electric detonator and located in the tail entry. The geophones were installed on the rock bolts in the head entry of LW3207. Velocity inversion shows an inhomogeneous distribution of stress in the longwall face that could not be obtained from theory or numerical simulations. Three abnormally high P-wave velocity regions were identified that were located on the corners of the two roadways and at the face end near the rail entry side. The maximum velocity gradient is located at the open cut off near the rail entry and is the area most dangerous for rock burst. Mining-induced tremors recorded by a micro-seismic monitoring system demonstrated that the position of energy release during mining coincides with the high velocity gradient area. 2Off-flavor compounds from decaying cyanobacterial blooms of Lake Taihu显示文摘The effect of cyanobacterial bloom decay on water quality and the complete degradation of cyanobacterial blooms in a short period were examined by an enclosure experiment in Gonghu Bay of Lake Taihu,China.Water quality parameters as well as taste and odor compounds during the breakdown of cyanobacterial blooms were measured.Results showed that the decay of cyanobacterial blooms caused anoxic water conditions,decreased pH,and increased nutrient loading to the lake water.The highest concentrations of dimethyl sulfide (DMS),dimethyl trisulfide (DMTS),and β-cyclocitral were observed in the anoxic water,at 62331.8,12413.3,and 1374.9 ng/L,respectively.2-Methylisoborneol was dominant during the live growth phase of cyanobacterial blooms,whereas DMS and DMTS were dominant during the decomposition phase.Dissolved oxygen,pH,and chlorophyll a were negatively correlated with DMS,DMTS,and β-cyclocitral,whereas total phosphorus,total nitrogen,and ammonium (NH4+-N) were positively correlated with DMS,DMTS,β-cyclocitral,and β-ionone.The experimental results suggested that preventing the anaerobic decomposition of cyanobacterial blooms is an important strategy against the recurrence of a malodor crisis in Lake Taihu.Zhimei Ma Yuan Niu Ping Xie Jun Chen Min Tao Xuwei Deng 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3:9

4OVERVIEW OF SEVERE TYPHOON FITOW AND ITS OPERATIONAL FORECASTS显示文摘Severe typhoon Fitow(1323)brought persistent and heavy rainfall to Zhejiang and the Shanghai area after it made landfall at Fujian Province of China in October 2013,breaking the rainfall records of several counties and districts in Zhejiang.In this paper,we provide an overview of the characteristics of Fitow’s landfall,including its track,intensity,structural evolution,heavy rainfall,and wind.We also describe some of the associated disastrous impacts.Finally,we provide verifications of operational forecasts of its track,intensity and rainfall.Though the track and intensity is well predicted,the rainfall persistence and enhancement in the second stage in Shanghai and north Zhejiang areas are not predicted out at all.The analysis presented in this paper provides forecasters and researchers with some valuable information on Fitow,which could form a useful basis for further studies.ZIFENG YU YANDIE CHEN DAN WU GUOMIN CHEN XUWEI BAO QIUZHEN YANG RUNLING YU LEI ZHANG JIE TANG MING XU ZHIHUA ZENG 2014Tropical Cyclone Research and Review2014,3,1:2
5Nonfragile guaranteed cost control for Delta operator-formulated uncertain time-delay systems显示文摘With consideration that the controller parameters may vary from the designed value when the controller is realized, based on Lyapunov stability theory, a design method of nonfragile guaranteed cost control for a class of Delta operator-formulated uncertain time-delay systems is studied. A sufficient condition for the existence of the nonfragile guaranteed cost controller is given. A numeric example is then given to illustrate the effectiveness and the feasibility of the designed method. The results show that even if the parameters of the designed controller are of variations, the closed-loop system is still asymptotically stable and the super value of the cost function can also be obtained, while the closed-loop system will be unstable if the variations of the controller parameters are not considered when the controller is designed. 6Real-time hand tracking based on YOLOv4 model and Kalman filter显示文摘Aiming at the shortcomings of current gesture tracking methods in accuracy and speed, based on deep learning You Only Look Once version 4(YOLOv4) model, a new YOLOv4 model combined with Kalman filter real-time hand tracking method was proposed. The new algorithm can address some problems existing in hand tracking technology such as detection speed, accuracy and stability. The convolutional neural network(CNN) model YOLOv4 is used to detect the target of current frame tracking and Kalman filter is applied to predict the next position and bounding box size of the target according to its current position. The detected target is tracked by comparing the estimated result with the detected target in the next frame and, finally, the real-time hand movement track is displayed. 8Eco-chemical mechanisms govern phytoplankton emissions of dimethylsulfide in global surface waters显示文摘The anti-greenhouse gas dimethylsulfide(DMS)is mainly emitted by algae and accounts for more than half of the total natural flux of gaseous sulfur to the atmosphere,strongly reducing the solar radiation and thereby the temperature on Earth.However,the relationship between phytoplankton biomass and DMS emissions is debated and inconclusive.Our study presents field observations from 100 freshwater lakes,in concert with data of global ocean DMS emissions,showing that DMS and algal biomass show a hump-shaped relationship,i.e.DMS emissions to the atmosphere increase up to a p H of about 8.1 but,at higher p H,DMS concentrations decline,likely mainly due to decomposition.Our findings from lake and ocean ecosystems worldwide were corroborated in experimental studies.This novel finding allows assessments of more accurate global patterns of DMS emissions and advances our knowledge on the negative feedback regulation of phytoplankton-driven DMS emissions on climate.Xuwei Deng Jun Chen Lars-Anders Hansson Xia Zhao Ping Xie 2021National Science Review2021,8,2:1
