2Air pollution characteristics and their relationship with emissions and meteorology in the Yangtze River Delta region during 2014–2016显示文摘With rapid economic growth and urbanization, the Yangtze River Delta(YRD) region in China has experienced serious air pollution challenges. In this study, we analyzed the air pollution characteristics and their relationship with emissions and meteorology in the YRD region during 2014–2016. In recent years, the concentrations of all air pollutants, except O3,decreased. Spatially, the PM2.5, PM10, SO2, and CO concentrations were higher in the northern YRD region, and NO2 and O3 were higher in the central YRD region. Based on the number of non-attainment days(i.e., days with air quality index greater than 100), PM2.5 was the largest contributor to air pollution in the YRD region, followed by O3, PM10, and NO2.However, particulate matter pollution has declined gradually, while O3 pollution worsened.Meteorological conditions mainly influenced day-to-day variations in pollutant concentrations. PM2.5 concentration was inversely related to wind speed, while O3 concentration was positively correlated with temperature and negatively correlated with relative humidity.The air quality improvement in recent years was mainly attributed to emission reductions.During 2014–2016, PM2.5, PM10, SO2, NOx, CO, NH3, and volatile organic compound(VOC)emissions in the YRD region were reduced by 26.3%, 29.2%, 32.4%, 8.1%, 15.9%, 4.5%, and0.3%, respectively. Regional transport also contributed to the air pollution. During regional haze periods, pollutants from North China and East China aggravated the pollution in the YRD region. 3Effect of Jiaweiwumei decoction on regulatory T cells and interleukin-10 in a rat model of ulcerative colitis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of a decoction made from the Traditional Chinese Medicine Wumei pill,on regulatory T cells and interleukin-10(IL-10) in a rat model of ulcerative colitis induced by2,4,6-trinitrobenzene sulfonic acid(TNBS).METHODS:Rat ulcerative colitis was induced with TNBS.All modeled rats were randomly divided into six groups:normal control group;model group;sulfasalazine suppositories treatment group;and high,moderate,and low dosage of Jiaweiwumei decoction groups(12 rats each).Colon injury index was evaluated after 14 days.After peripheral blood lymphocyte separation,CD4 + T cells and CD4+/CD25+ T cell percentage was detected by flow cytometry.The content of IL-10 in serum and intestinal mucosa tissue was detected by sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS:Colon injury indices in the decoction groups were effectively reduced,compared with the model group(P < 0.05).Compared with that of the control group,the CD4+/CD25+ to CD4+ T lymphocyte ratio of the model group was significantly lower,while the decoction treatment improved the CD4 +/CD25 + to CD4 + T lymphocyte ratio(P <0.05).The serum and mucosal IL-10 content of the model group was significantly lower(P < 0.05) than that in the control group,while the decoction group had significantly higher serum and intestinal mucosal IL-10 content than that in the model group(P < 0.05).The regulatory T cell content was negatively correlated with the colonic injury index(r = 0.68,P < 0.05),and positively correlated with the content of serum IL-10(r = 0.87,P < 0.05) and intestinal mucosal IL-10(r= 0.79,P < 0.05).CONCLUSION:Jiaweiwumei decoction had significant effects on regulatory T cells and IL-10 in rats with TNBS-induced ulcerative colitis.Tao Mei Wang Xuyan Wang Aiqin Gao Ninghan Pan Jie Liu Xiaoquan Wang Xiaoye 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,3:14

5Development of a Drilling and Coring Test-bed for Lunar Subsurface Exploration and Preliminary Experiments显示文摘Drill sampling has been widely employed as an effective way to acquire deep samples in extraterrestrial exploration. A novel sampling method, namely, flexible-tube coring, was adopted for the Chang'e mission to acquire drilling cores without damaging stratification information. Since the extraterrestrial environment is uncertain and different from the terrestrial environment, automated drill sampling missions are at risk of failure. The principles of drilling and coring for the lunar subsurface should be fully tested and verified on earth before launch. This paper proposes a test-bed for conducting the aforementioned experiments on earth. The test-bed comprises a rotary-percussive drilling mechanism, penetrating mechanism, drilling medium container, and signal acquisition and control system. For granular soil, coring experiments indicate that the sampling method has a high coring rate greater than 80%. For hard rock, drilling experiments indicate that the percussive frequency greatly affects the drilling efficiency. A multi-layered simulant composed of granular soil and hard rock is built to test the adaptability of drilling and coring. To tackle complex drilling media, an intelligent drilling strategy based on online recognition is proposed to improve the adaptability of the sampling drill. 6Erosion effect on the productivity of black soil in Northeast China显示文摘Continuous soil erosion has caused serious land degradation in the black soil area of Northeast China. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of accelerated erosion on soil productivity, as measured by soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) yields. Eight erosion levels, 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm, were simulated by imitating the integrated process of natural erosion and tillage activity. Each erosion level had two sub-treatments: conventional fertilization and no fertilization. Soil erosion was found to affect survival probability and to cause remarkable reductions in the Leaf Area Index (LAI), plant height, pod number, biomass, and yield. Soybean yield was exponentially decreased with the increase of soil erosion depth. Compared to erosion depth of 0 cm, erosion levels of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm experienced reductions in soybean yield by 28.8%, 37.8%, 43.5%, 52.6%, 53.1%, 52.9%, and 64.1% respectively when fertilized whereas the reductions at those levels were 32.6%, 42.2%, 53.0%, 54.0%, 65.8%, 69.7%, and 72.6%, respectively, when unfertilized. At the erosion depths of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm, the yield reductions per 10 cm of soil eroded when fertilized were 28.8%, 18.9%, 14.5%, 13.2%, 10.6%, 8.8%, and 9.2%, averaged 14.9%, but when unfertilized they were 32.6%, 21.1%, 17.7%, 13.5%, 13.2%, 11.6%, and 10.4%, averaged 17.1%. The results also showed that chemical fertili zers could enhance the yields of eroded soil, but could not recover the yields to the pre-erosion level. Additionally, the results indicated that the primary reason for the decrease in soybean yield with increasing erosion depth was the loss of soil organic matter, soil N and P. 7Effects of irbesartan on the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2/ tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-2 in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat kidney显示文摘Glomerular hypertrophy and progressive expansion of extracelluar matrix (ECM) have been regarded as the early feature of diabetic nephropathy (DN), which leads to accumulation of ECM and thickening of glomerular basement membrane, and subsequently induces renal fibrosis. Both increasing synthesis and decreasing degradation of matrix components are responsible for matrix accumulation. The later may play more important role in DN that involves a number of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMPs are a family of proteolytic enzymes whose activity is tightly regulated by tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMPs), and the MMP/TIMP ratio is critical for coordinating matrix production and degradation. 1 Recently, considerable evidence suggests that the intrarenal renin-angiotensin system plays an important role in the development of DN. 2 Blockade of the renin-angiotensin system (RAS) by angiotensin-coverting enzyme inhibitor (ACEI) or angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonist (AIIRA) delays the progression of renal injury associated with diabetes. 3 AIIRA has been regarded as the first line choice for DN therapy. However, the potential mechanism for AIIRA in the ECM degradative pathway has not been fully elucidated. 8The zinc transporter Slc39a5 controls glucose sensing and insulin secretion in pancreatic β-cells via Sirt1- and Pgc-1α-mediated regulation of Glut2显示文摘Zinc levels are high in pancreatic β-cells, and zinc is involved in the synthesis, processing and secretion of insulin in these cells. However, precisely how cellular zinc homeostasis is regulated in pancreatic β-cells is poorly understood. By screening the expression of 14 Slc39a metal importer family member genes, we found that the zinc transporter Slc39a5 is significantly downregulated in pancreatic β-cells in diabetic db/db mice, obese ob/ob mice and high-fat diet-fed mice. Moreover,β-cell-specific Slc39a5 knockout mice have impaired insulin secretion. In addition, Slc39a5-deficient pancreatic islets have reduced glucose tolerance accompanied by reduced expression of Pgc-1α and its downstream target gene Glut2. The down-regulation of Glut2 in Slc39a5-deficient islets was rescued using agonists of Sirt1, Pgc-1α and Ppar-γ. At the mechanistic level, we found that Slc39a5-mediated zinc influx induces Glut2 expression via Sirt1-mediated Pgc-1α activation. 10Stability analysis of particle swarm optimization without Lipschitz constraint显示文摘There are some adjustable parameters which direcdy influence the performance and stability of Particle Swarm Op-ttimization algorithm. In this paper, stabilities of PSO with constant parameters and time-varying parameters are analyzed withoutLipschitz constraint. Necessary and sufficient stability conditions for acceleration factor ψand inertia weight w are presented. Exper-iments on benchmark functions show the good perfomance of PSO satisfying the stability condition, even without Lipschitz con-straint. 12Research Progress on Production of Podophyllotoxin from Sinopodophyllum hexandrum显示文摘Podophyllotoxin is isolated mainly from the rhizomes of Podophyllum plants, and serves as the main precursor for synthesis of anticancer drugs, such as VP-16 and VM-26. VP-16 and VM-26 are used for curing lung cancer, testicular cancer, neuroblastoma, hepatoma and other tumors. However, these plants are all near-extinction species due to over-collection and their own biological characteristics. The chemical synthesis of podophyllotoxin is so complicated that its price is unbelievably high. 15Free fatty acids profiling in cold-pressed rapeseed oil pretreated by microwave显示文摘This study proposed a strategy based on simple chemical derivatization coupled with neutral loss scan tandem to electrospray ionization source of mass spectrometer (NLS-ESI-MS/MS) for rapid and sensitive detection of free fatty acids (FFAs) in coldpressed rapeseed oils without sample purification and enrichment. The method was applied to investigate contents of FFAs and their changes in cold-pressed rapeseed oil pretreated by microwave. Results showed that main FFAs in rapeseed oil control samples were myristic acid (C14:0), palmitic acid (C16:0), stearic acid (C18:0), oleic acid (C18:1), linoleic acid (C18:2) and linolenic acid (C18:3). The highest content of C18:1 was 7163.69 nmol/g and C18:2 was 5221.18 nmol/g among 8 oil samples. FFAs generally increased after microwave pretreatment except C14:0 in oil sample of ‘Xinyou 17’ and ‘Suyou 6’. C18:1 and C18:2 significantly changed (P<0.05) after microwave pretreatment. With this established simple,practical and reliable analysis approach, changes of FFAs would be monitored to ensure safety and quality of edible oils. 16Comprehensive Assessment of Water Environment Carrying Capacity of Yunnan Province显示文摘Based on the concept and connotation of water environment carrying capacity, taking Yunnan Province as a case, this paper built water environment carrying capacity evaluation system from the perspectives of water resources, water environment carrying capacity and socio-economic development, and applied the index evaluation model to analyze the trends of water environment carrying capacity in Yunnan from 2006 to 2014. The results showed that, during those years, the evaluation value of water environment carrying capacity ranged from 0.23 to 0.46 in Yunnan Province.The minimum value was 0.23 in 2013, the maximum value was 0.46 in 2010. 17Loading Fe3O4 nanoparticles on paper-derived carbon scaffold toward advanced lithium-sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium-sulfur batteries(LSBs) are regarded as a competitive next-generation energy storage device.However, their practical performance is seriously restricted due to the undesired polysulfides shuttling.Herein, a multifunctional interlayer composed of paper-derived carbon(PC) scaffold, Fe3O4 nanoparticles,graphene, and graphite sheets is designed for applications in LSBs. The porous PC skeleton formed by the interweaving long-fibers not only facilitates fast transfer of Li ions and electrons but also provides a physical barrier for the polysulfide shuttling. The secondary Fe3O4@graphene component can reduce the polarization, boost the attachment of polysulfides, and promote the charging-discharging kinetics. The outer graphitic sheets layers benefit the interfacial electrochemistry and the utilization of S-containing species.The efficient obstruction of polysulfides diffusion is further witnessed via in situ ultraviolet-visible characterization and first-principles simulations. When 73% sulfur/commercial acetylene black is used as the cathode, the cell exhibits excellent capacity retention with high capacities at 0.5 C for 1000 cycles and even up to 10 C for 500 cycles, an ultrahigh rate capability up to 10 C(478 m Ah g-1), and a high arealsulfur loading of 8.05 mg cm-2. 18Shotgun lipidomic analysis of simple lipids in rapeseed oil by electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry显示文摘Rapeseed is widely grown in China as an important oil crop. In this study, Shotgun lipidomic methodology based on tandem mass spectrometry but without liquid chromatography was established for simple lipids analysis such as mono-, di-and triacylglycerols(MAGs, DAGs and TAGs) and the derivatives such as free fatty acids(FFAs). Six varieties of rapeseeds belonging to 3 types(B. juncea, B. campestris and B. oleracea) from different areas of China were investigated, with 59 TAG species, 10 DAG species, 5 MAG species and 6 FFA species identified. It was found that erucic acid was mainly present in the form of TAG 62:4(22:1/18:2/22:1), TAG 62:3(22:1/18:1/22:1), and TAG 62:5(22:1/18:3/22:1) in high erucic acid rapeseed oils, while oleic acid was mainly present in the form of TAG 54:2(18:0/18:1/18:1), and TAG 54:4(18:1/18:2/18:1) in high oleic acid rapeseed oils. It was difficult for DAG, MAG and FFA quantification due to their low content with high background content of TAGs. 20Microencapsulation of nutmeg essential oil by spray-drying with different wall materials显示文摘Nutmeg essential oil with volatile components is sensitive to oxygen, light, water and high temperature. Spray-drying is widely used as an encapsulation technique for improving compound stability during processing and storage. In this study, influence of encapsulated matrix on spray-dried nutmeg essential oil microcapsule was investigated using blends of maltodextrin and either gum Arabic(GA-MD), or octenyl succinic acid modified starch(OSA-MD) as wall materials. Characteristics of spray-dried powders from these 2 wall materials were evaluated and compared. Powder property analysis indicated that GA-MD microcapsules presented larger size, higher moisture and poorer flowability compared with OSA-MD microcapsules. Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis showed that both GA-MD and OSA-MD microcapsules improved the stability of nutmeg essential oil. However, GA-MD microcapsules exhibited higher storage stability than OSA-MD microcapsules.
