2Field Capacity in Black Soil Region, Northeast China显示文摘In this work, 23 black soil profiles were surveyed and 113 soil samples were collected to determine the field capacity (FC) of the black soil in Northeast China. The effectiveness of three methods measuring FC, the Wilcox method (WM), the undisturbed soil pressure plate method (PUM) and the air-dried sieved soil pressure plate method (PDM) were compared to select a suitable laboratory measurement method. Results show that the FC values measured by PDM are greater than those measured by PUM, and the values measured by PUM are greater than those measured by WM. PUM is more suitable for the determination of FC in the study area. One regression equation between PUM and PDM has been established through which undisturbed soil can be replaced by air-dried sieved soil, which is easier to get, to measure FC. FCs vary from 23.50% to 37.00%, with an average of 31.65%, which differ greatly among the 23 black soil profiles. FC is found to be significantly positively correlated with the silt content, clay content and bulk density of the soil, but significantly negatively correlated with the sand content. 3Analytical solutions for characteristic radii of circular roadway surrounding rock plastic zone and their application显示文摘In the non-uniform stress field, the surrounding rock plastic zone of the circular roadway shows different shapes under the different confining pressure conditions. Based on the boundary shape characteristics of the plastic zone, the characteristic radii of the plastic zone were proposed, namely the horizontal,longitudinal and medial axis radii, which could reflect the plastic zone shapes characteristics and classify the sizes of the key parts. On the theoretical basis of elastic-plastic mechanics, analytical solutions for the characteristic radii were obtained by theoretical deduction, and the relationships between the characteristic radii and key influencing factors were analyzed. Finally, the evaluation criterion of the circular roadway surrounding rock plastic zone shapes, evaluation criterion of the location of potential hazards caused by the roadway surrounding rock and evaluation critical points of roadway dynamic disasters based on characteristic radii were proposed. 4Erosion effect on the productivity of black soil in Northeast China显示文摘Continuous soil erosion has caused serious land degradation in the black soil area of Northeast China. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of accelerated erosion on soil productivity, as measured by soybean (Glycine max L. Merr.) yields. Eight erosion levels, 0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm, were simulated by imitating the integrated process of natural erosion and tillage activity. Each erosion level had two sub-treatments: conventional fertilization and no fertilization. Soil erosion was found to affect survival probability and to cause remarkable reductions in the Leaf Area Index (LAI), plant height, pod number, biomass, and yield. Soybean yield was exponentially decreased with the increase of soil erosion depth. Compared to erosion depth of 0 cm, erosion levels of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm experienced reductions in soybean yield by 28.8%, 37.8%, 43.5%, 52.6%, 53.1%, 52.9%, and 64.1% respectively when fertilized whereas the reductions at those levels were 32.6%, 42.2%, 53.0%, 54.0%, 65.8%, 69.7%, and 72.6%, respectively, when unfertilized. At the erosion depths of 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, and 70 cm, the yield reductions per 10 cm of soil eroded when fertilized were 28.8%, 18.9%, 14.5%, 13.2%, 10.6%, 8.8%, and 9.2%, averaged 14.9%, but when unfertilized they were 32.6%, 21.1%, 17.7%, 13.5%, 13.2%, 11.6%, and 10.4%, averaged 17.1%. The results also showed that chemical fertili zers could enhance the yields of eroded soil, but could not recover the yields to the pre-erosion level. Additionally, the results indicated that the primary reason for the decrease in soybean yield with increasing erosion depth was the loss of soil organic matter, soil N and P. 5Relationship between the number of tapping-induced secondary laticifer lines and rubber yield among Hevea germplasm显示文摘The lack of suitable early selection parameters means that traditional rubber breeding for yield is time consuming and inefficient. Laticifer is a tissue specific fo natural rubber biosynthesis and storage in rubber tree. The number of the secondary laticifers in the trunk bark tissues is positively correlated with rubber yield in the matured rubber trees that are regularly tapped. In the present study the rubber yield from 280 of 4–5 year-old virgin trees from7 cross combinations was compared with the number o newly differentiated secondary laticifers caused by tapping. 6Mesoproterozoic to Paleozoic Nd isotope stratigraphy of the South China continental nucleus and its geological significance显示文摘The Yangtze continental nucleus in South China is situated in the Huangling-Shennongjia area in western Hubei Province.It comprises the early Precambrian crystalline basement and generally successive Proterozoic to Phanerozoic sedimentary covers.This paper reports a comprehensive Nd isotope study of fine-grained sedimentary rocks from the regional Mesoproterozoic to early Paleozoic strata.The Nd model ages display a V-shaped variation from ~2.5-2.8 Ga during the late Mesoproterozoic through ~1.5-1.7 Ga during the Neoproterozoic Nanhua Period to ~1.8-2.1 Ga during the Paleozoic Ordovician,with corresponding Nd (t) ranges of 11 to 14,1.1 to 5.3,and 7.9 to 9.9,respectively.This evolutionary trend broadly resembles those documented in the sedimentary strata along the southeastern margin of the Yangtze Craton and within the Jiangnan orogenic belt,indicating that the whole South China block underwent a mantle-input related tectono-magmatic event at ~0.8 Ga or earlier.However,the Huangling-Shennongjia area is discriminated from the other two regions by highly variable model ages (~1.5-2.7 Ga) and Nd (t) values (1.38-12.0) of the early Mesoproterozoic strata.Combined with the Archean model ages of the late Mesoproterozoic strata,it is suggested that the Mesoproterozoic sedimentary provenance of the Yangtze continental nucleus was distinct from that of the southeastern Yangtze Craton,likely indicative of an intervening aulacogen (or rift zone) or oceanic basin.In addition,the high comparability in Neoproterozoic to Paleozoic Nd isotope stratigraphy between the Yangtze Craton and the Jiangnan orogenic belt infers that the whole South China block had shared the same sedimentary basin and provenance since the Yangtze-Cathaysia welding at ~0.9 Ga.Thus,it is proposed that the Yangtze Craton had comprised a collage of micro-continents during the pre-Neoproterozoic until the Rodinia assemblage when the primitive South China block was formed.BAI Xiao LING WenLi DUAN RuiChun QIU XiaoFei LIU ChengXin KUANG Hua GAO YongJuan ZHOU Lian CHEN ZiWan LU Shah-Song 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,11:8
7Filtration of fine particles in atmospheric aerosol with electrospinning nanofibers and its size distribution显示文摘In this study,the size distribution of atmospheric aerosol in Beijing was monitored by the scanning mobility particle sizer spectrometer and the optical particle sizer.The size of particles in atmospheric aerosol was primarily distributed in the range of less than 1 m.It showed different changes with the mass concentrations of particulate matters with an aerodynamic diameter of 2.5 m(PM2.5)for different sizes of fine particles.The amount of ultrafine particles(less than about 60 nm)decreased while the larger ones(>60 nm)increased along with the mass concentration of PM2.5 in atmospheric aerosol.This was because of the formation of the secondary atmospheric aerosol.The polylactic acid(PLA)nanofibers were prepared for filtering the aerosol by electrospinning.PLA nanofiber mats were used as the middle layer to design the composite filter membranes.Atmospheric aerosol was used as dust source in the filtration test.The results showed that the filtration efficiency of the composite filter media increased along with the thickness of nanofiber mats,which was controlled by the collection time during electrospinning.Filtration efficiency can be improved obviously by compositing with a thin layer of nanofibers.LI Juan SHI XiaoFei GAO Feng LIU LuQi CHEN Rui CHEN ChunYing ZHANG Zhong 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,2:7
8High-quality Arabidopsis thaliana Genome Assembly with Nanopore and HiFi Long Reads显示文摘Arabidopsis thaliana is an important and long-established model species for plant molecular biology,genetics,epigenetics,and genomics.However,the latest version of reference genome still contains a significant number of missing segments.Here,we reported a high-quality and almost complete Col-0 genome assembly with two gaps(named Col-XJTU)by combining the Oxford Nanopore Technologies ultra-long reads,Pacific Biosciences high-fidelity long reads,and Hi-C data.The total genome assembly size is 133,725,193 bp,introducing 14.6 Mb of novel sequences compared to the TAIR10.1 reference genome.All five chromosomes of the Col-XJTU assembly are highly accurate with consensus quality(QV)scores>60(ranging from 62 to 68),which are higher than those of the TAIR10.1 reference(ranging from 45 to 52).We completely resolved chromosome(Chr)3 and Chr5 in a telomere-to-telomere manner.Chr4 was completely resolved except the nucleolar organizing regions,which comprise long repetitive DNA fragments.The Chrl centromere(CEN1),reportedly around 9 Mb in length,is particularly challenging to assemble due to the presence of tens of thousands of CEN180 satellite repeats.Using the cutting-edge sequencing data and novel computational approaches,we assembled a 3.8-Mb-long CEN1 and a 3.5-Mb-long CEN2.We also investigated the structure and epigenetics of centromeres.Four clusters of CEN180 monomers were detected,and the centromere-specific histone H3-like protein(CENH3)exhibited a strong preference for CEN180 Cluster 3.Moreover,we observed hypomethylation patterns in CENH3-enriched regions.We believe that this high-quality genome assembly,Col-XJTU,would serve as a valuable reference to better understand the global pattern of centromeric polymorphisms,as well as the genetic and epigenetic features in plants.Bo Wang Xiaofei Yang Yanyan Jia Yu Xu Peng Jia Ningxin Dang Songbo Wang Tun Xu Xixi Zhao Shenghan Gao Quanbin Dong Kai Ye 2022Genomics, Proteomics & Bioinformatics2022,20,1:6
9Knockdown of long non-coding RNA LCPAT1 inhibits autophagy in lung cancer显示文摘Objective: Long non-coding RNAs(lnc RNAs) are involved in numerous biological processes in lung cancer cells. In our previous studies, we identified a lnc RNA, ENST00000439577, which is highly expressed in lung carcinomas, and termed it lung cancer progression-associated transcript 1(LCPAT1). To characterize the role of LCPAT1 in lung cancer, we conducted the current study.Methods: Expression of LCPAT1 and autophagy-associated markers in tumor tissues and lung cancer cell lines was determined by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(q PCR). Hematoxylin and eosin(HE) staining, q PCR, Western blot, and immunohistochemistry were performed to evaluate xenografted tumor tissues. Autophagy induced by rapamycin was detected by Western blot and immunofluorescence in lung cancer cell lines.Results: Expression of LCPAT1 and microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta(LC3B) was positively correlated in lung cancer. Knockdown of LCPAT1 inhibited tumor growth and suppressed cell autophagy in vivo. 10Light-absorbing impurities on Keqikaer Glacier in western Tien Shan: concentrations and potential impact on albedo reduction显示文摘Light-absorbing impurities on glaciers are important factors that influence glacial surface albedo and accelerate glacier melt. In this study, the quantity of light-absorbing impurities on Keqikaer Glacier in western Tien Shan, Central Asia, was measured. We found that the average concentrations of black carbon was 2,180 ng/g, with a range from 250 ng/g to more than 10,000 ng/g. The average concentrations of organic carbon and mineral dust were 1,738 ng/g and 194 μg/g, respectively. Based on simulations performed with the Snow Ice Aerosol Radiative model simulations, black carbon and dust are responsible for approximately 64% and 9%, respectively, of the albedo reduction, and are associated with instantaneous radiative forcing of 323.18 W/m2(ranging from 142.16 to 619.25 W/m2) and 24.05 W/m2(ranging from 0.15 to69.77 W/m2), respectively. For different scenarios, the albedo and radiative forcing effect of black carbon is considerably greater than that of dust. The estimated radiative forcing at Keqikaer Glacier is higher than most similar values estimated by previous studies on the Tibetan Plateau, perhaps as a result of black carbon enrichment by melt scavenging. Light-absorbing impurities deposited on Keqikaer Glacier appear to mainly originate from central Asia, Siberia, western China(including the Taklimakan Desert) and parts of South Asia in summer, and from the Middle East and Central Asia in winter.A footprint analysis indicates that a large fraction(>60%) of the black carbon contributions on Keqikaer Glacier comes from anthropogenic sources. 13Carbonaceous matter in glacier at the headwaters of the Yangtze River:Concentration,sources and fractionation during the melting process显示文摘Carbonaceous matter has an important impact on glacial retreat in the Tibetan Plateau,further affecting the water resource supply.However,the related studies on carbonaceous matter are still scarce in Geladaindong(GLDD)region,the source of the Yangtze River.Therefore,the concentration,source and variations of carbonaceous matter at Ganglongjiama(GLJM)glacier in GLDD region were investigated during the melting period in 2017,which could deepen our understanding on carbonaceous matter contribution to glacier melting.The results showed that dissolved organic carbon(DOC)concentration of snowpit samples(283±200μg/L)was much lower than that of precipitation samples(624±361μg/L),indicating that large parts of DOC could be rapidly leached from the snowpit during the melting process.In contrast,refractory black carbon(rBC)concentration measured by Single Particle Soot Photometer of snowpit samples(4.27±3.15μg/L)was much higher than that of precipitation samples(0.97±0.49μg/L).Similarly,DOC with high mass absorption cross-section measured at 365 nm value was also likely to enrich in snowpit during the melting process.In addition,it was found that both r BC and DOC with high light-absorbing ability began to leach from the snowpit when melting process became stronger.Therefore,rBC and DOC with high light-absorbing ability exhibited similar behavior during the melting process.Based on relationship among DOC,rBC and K^+ in precipitation,the main source of carbonaceous matter in GLJM glacier was biomass burning during the study period.Zhaofu Hu Shichang Kang Xiaobo He Fangping Yan Yulan Zhang Pengfei Chen Xiaofei Li Shaopeng Gao Chaoliu Li 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,1:3
14In situ nitrogen removal processes in intertidal wetlands of the Yangtze Estuary显示文摘Estuarine and intertidal wetlands are important sites for nitrogen transformation and elimination.However,the factors controlling nitrogen removal processes remain largely uncertain in the highly dynamic environments.In this study,continuous-flow experiment combined with 15 N isotope pairing technique was used to investigate in situ rates of denitrification and anaerobic ammonium oxidation(anammox)and their coupling with nitrification in intertidal wetlands of the Yangtze Estuary.The measured rates varied from below the detection limit to 152.39μmol N/(m^2·hr)for denitrification and from below the detection limit to 43.06μmol N/(m^2·hr)for anammox.The coupling links of nitrogen removal processes with nitrification were mainly dependent on nitrate,organic carbon,sulfide,dissolved oxygen and ferric iron in the estuarine and intertidal wetlands.Additionally,it was estimated that the actual nitrogen removal processes annually removed approximately 5%of the terrigenous inorganic nitrogen discharged into the Yangtze Estuary.This study gives new insights into nitrogen transformation and fate in the estuarine and intertidal wetlands.Cheng Liu Lijun Hou Min Liu Yanling Zheng Guoyu Yin Hongpo Dong Xia Liang Xiaofei Li Dengzhou Gao Zongxiao Zhang 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,7:2
15Electrospun Scaff old of Collagen and Polycaprolactone Containing ZnO Quantum Dots for Skin Wound Regeneration显示文摘Nanofibers(NFs)have been widely used in tissue engineering such as wound healing.In this work,the antibacterial ZnO quantum dots(ZnO QDs)have been incorporated into the biocompatible poly(ε-caprolactone)/collagen(PCL/Col)fibrous scaffolds for wound healing.The as-fabricated PCL-Col/ZnO fibrous scaffolds exhibited good swelling,antibacterial activity,and biodegradation behaviors,which were beneficial for the applications as a wound dressing.Moreover,the PCL-Col/ZnO fibrous scaffolds showed excellent cytocompatibility for promoting cell proliferation.The resultant PCL-Col/ZnO fibrous scaffolds containing vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)also exhibited promoted wound-healing effect through promoting expression of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)and the vascular factor(CD31)in tissues in the early stages of wound healing.This new electrospun fibrous scaffolds with wound-healing promotion and antibacterial property should be convenient for treating wound healing.Pengfei Li Liming Ruan Ruofan Wang Tianqi Liu Gao Song Xiaofei Gao Guohua Jiang Xiaoyan Liu 2021Journal of Bionic Engineering2021,18,6:2
16Ecological damage of submerged macrophyte Myriophyllum spicatum by cell extracts from microcystin(MC)-and non-MC-producing cyanobacteria,Microcystis显示文摘To explore how decomposed Microcystis-dominant cyanobacterial blooms affect submerged macrophytes,the submerged plant Myriophyllum spicatum was exposed to cell extracts from microcystin(MC)-and non-MC-producing Microcystis strains in a laboratory experiment.Results showed that both Mcracystis cell extracts exerted obvious damages to plant biomass,photosynthesis,primary and secondary metabolism measures,and resistance of plant antioxidant systems,with MC-producing Microcystis having stronger effects due to the presence of MCs.Cyanotoxins other than MCs responsible for the negative effects from both strains needs further identification.The Shannon diversity and Chao1 indices of epiphytic and planktonic bacteria were decreased by the cell extracts from both Microcystis strains.However,epiphytic and planktonic bacterial communities responded differently to cell extracts at the genus level.The dominant genera of planktonic bacteria including Enterobacter,Pseudomonas,and Novosphingobium from phylum Proteobacteria,Chryseobacterium from phylum Bacteroidetes,and Microbacterium from Actinobacteriota in the treatments with cell extracts were previously reported to have strains with algicidal and MC-degrading capabilities.B acterial genes associated with energy production and conversion,amino acid transport and metabolism,and inorganic ion transport and metabolism,were more abundant in both treatments than the control for planktonic bacteria,but less abundant for epiphytic bacteria.We speculate that planktonic bacterial communities have the potential to use and degrade substances derived from Microcystis cell extracts,which may be beneficial for M.spicatum to alleviate damages from Microcystis.Further research is needed to verify the structure and function dynamics of epiphytic and planktonic bacteria in the interaction between cyanobacteria and submerged macrophytes.Yunni GAO Hui YANG Xiaofei GAO Mei LI Man ZHANG Jing DONG Jingxiao ZHANG Longfei LI Xuejun LI Michele A BURFORD 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,5:2

18Overexpression of sigma-1 receptor inhibits ADAM10 and ADAM17 mediated shedding in vitro显示文摘The sigma-1 receptor is a molecular chaperone protein highly enriched in the brain.Recent studies linked it to many diseases,such as drug addition,Alzheimer’s disease,stroke,depression,and even cancer.Sigma-1 receptor is enriched in lipid rafts,which are membrane microdomains essential in signaling processes.One of those signaling processes is ADAM17-and ADAM10-dependent ectodomain shedding.By using an alkaline phosphatase tagged substrate reporter system,we have shown that ADAM10-dependent BTC shedding was very sensitive to both membrane lipid component change and sigma-1 receptor agonist DHEAS treatment while ADAM17-dependent HB-EGF shedding was not;and overexpression of sigma-1 receptor diminished ADAM17-and ADAM10-dependent shedding.Our results indicate that sigma-1 receptor plays an important role in modifying the function of transmembrane proteases.Juan Li Bin Liu Xiaofei Gao Zhixing Ma Tianyi CaoSong Yan-ai Mei Yufang Zheng 2012Protein & Cell2012,3,2:2
