1Effectiveness of Jinying capsule on pelvic inflammatory disease in patients with symptom pattern of damp and heat accumulation: a double-blinded, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic effectiveness and safety of Jinying capsule on pelvic inflammatory disease(PID) in patients with symptoms identified as the pattern of damp and heat accumulation in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS: We conducted a double-blinded, multicenter, randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial which included 155 patients diagnosed with PID and identified as symptom pattern of damp and heat accumulation. They were randomly divided into experimental group(n = 78) and control group(n = 77) according to a random number table. The treatment lasted for a period of 28 d. The experimental group was given Jinying capsules and oral levofloxacin plus oral metronidazole for first 7 d.They continued with Jinying capsules and levofloxacin placebo and metronidazole placebo for another 7 d. For the remaining 14 d, they continued with Jinying capsules only. Whereas, the control group was treated with oral levofloxacin and metronidazole and Jinying capsule placebo for the first 14 d in the same way as the experimental group and then continued with Jinying capsule placebo only for the remaining 14 d. The clinical efficacy was assessed using McCormack scale, TCM symptom pattern scores, physicochemical indexes including white blood cell and erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C-reaction protein, smear of vaginal discharge,and pelvic ultrasound.RESULTS: Comparing McCormack scale between both groups after treatment, the difference in curative effect between both groups was significant (P = 0.0269). The cure rate of the experimental group and control group is 76.32% and 59.46% respectively at week 4. Comparing TCM symptom pattern scores between both groups before and after treatment, the differences in total effective rate were both significant(P < 0.05). The curative effect rate of experimental group is 2.63% and 13.70% of the control group at week 1(P = 0.0131), and73.33% of the experimental group and 56.94% of the control group at week 4(P = 0.0369). No significant differences were found between the two groups on the Physicochemical indexes(all P >0.05). 2Integration of QTL detection and marker assisted selection for improving resistance to Fusarium head blight and important agronomic traits in wheat显示文摘Fusarium head blight(FHB), caused by Fusarium graminearum, is one of the most destructive wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) diseases worldwide. Identification of quantitative trait loci(QTL) conferring FHB resistance followed by marker assisted selection(MAS) is an efficient approach to breed FHB-resistant varieties. In this study, 38 additive QTL and 18 pairs of epistatic QTL for FHB resistance were detected in four environments using a population of recombinant inbred lines(RILs) derived from varieties Neixiang 188 and Yanzhan 1. Six QTL clusters were located on chromosomes 2D, 4B, 4D, 5A, 5D and 7B, suggesting possible polytrophic functions. Six elite lines with good FHB resistance and agronomic traits were selected from the same population using the associated markers. 6Core pluripotency factors promote glycolysis of human embryonic stem cells by activating GLUT1 enhancer显示文摘Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) depend on glycolysis for energy and substrates for biosynthesis. To understand the mechanisms governing the metabolism of hESCs, we investigated the transcriptional regulation of glucose transporter 1 (GLUT1, SLC2A1), a key glycolytic gene to maintain pluripotency. By combining the genome-wide data of bin ding sites of the core pluripotency factors (SOX2, OCT4, NANOG, denoted SON), chromosomal interaction and histone modification in hESCs, we identified a potential enhancer of the GLUT1 gene in hESCs, de noted GLUT1 enhancer (GE) element GE interacts with the promoter of GLUT1, and the deletion of GE significantly reduces the expression of GLUT1, glucose uptake and glycolysis of hESCs, confirming that GE is an enhancer of GLUT1 in hESCs. In addition, the mutation of SON binding motifs within GE reduced the expression of GLUT1 as well as the interaction between GE and GLUT1 promoter, indicating that the binding of SON to GE is important for its activity. 12Photoluminescence and thermal stability of yellow-emitting Pr^(3+) doped CaAl_(2)O_(4) phosphors显示文摘Pr^(3+)-doped CaAl_(2)O_(4) phosphors with broad yellow emission were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction in air and their structural and luminescent properties were investigated.A pure monoclinic structure can be obtained when the sintering temperature is 1400℃ or above.With photoluminescence(PL)measurement,the excitation was observed at 450–500 nm,which covered the emission of the blue light-emitting diode(LED)chips.Emission of the phosphors showed a green band and a red band.So these phosphors showed great potential in application of warm white LEDs without reabsorption.Additionally,the optimal emission intensity was obtained when Pr doping level was at 0.2 mol%.Furthermore,the Pr-doped CaAl_(2)O_(4) phosphors have the higher quenching temperature.With an increase in temperature,the emission bands of Pr-doped CaAl_(2)O_(4) showed an abnormal blue-shift.Hua Zou Dengfeng Peng Zhenming Chu Xusheng Wang Yanxia Li Jun-Wei Hou Xi Yao 2013Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2013,3,3:1
13Intensive up-conversion photoluminescence of Er^(3+)-doped Bi_(7)Ti_(4)NbO_(21)ferroelectric ceramics and its temperature sensing显示文摘The intensive up-conversion(UC)photoluminescence and temperature sensing behavior of Er3t-doped Bi_(7)Ti_(4)NbO_(21)(BTN)ferroelectric ceramics prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction technique have been investigated.The X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscope analyses demonstrated that the Er3t-doped BTN ceramics are single phase and uniform flake-like structure.With the Er3t ions doping,the intensive UC emission was observed without obviously changing the properties of ferroelectric.The optimal emission intensity was obtained when Er doping level was 15 mol.%.The temperature sensing behavior was studied by fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)technique of two green UC emission bands,and the experimental data fitted very well with the function of temperature in a range of 133–573 K.It suggested that the Er3t-doped BTN ferroelectric ceramics are very good candidates for applications such as optical thermometry,electro-optical devices and bio-imaging ceramics.Hua Zou Jun Li Qiufeng Cao Xusheng Wang Xinwei Hui Yanxia Li Yao Yu Xi Yao 2014Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2014,4,4:1
14Trap modification and mechanoluminescence improvement by Si substitution for Sn in Sr_(2)SnO_(4):Sm^(3+) ceramics显示文摘A series of Sr_(1.96)Sn_(1-x)Si_(x)O_(4):0.04Sm^(3+)(x=0,0.1,0.15,_(0.2),0.3,0.4)were synthesized from solid-state reaction.The mechanoluminescence(ML)performance of Sr_(1.96)SnO_(4):0.04Sm^(3+)was greatly enhanced by partial Si^(4+)substitution for Sn^(4+),and the sample of Sr_(1.96)Sn_(0.8)Si_(0.2)O_(4):0.04Sm^(3+)showed weaker afterglow and twice stronger ML intensity than that in Sr_(1.96) SnO_(4):0.04Sm^(3+).The stress response of Sr_(1.96)Sn_(0.8)Si_(0.2)O_(4):0.04Sm^(3+)ranged from 250 to 1200 N,and its linearity was greatly restored.Particularly,it was very sensitive in the minimal stress response range.These properties of no load threshold for stress sensing and weak afterglow make Sr_(1.96)Sn_(0.8)Si_(0.2)O_(4):0.04Sm^(3+)superior to other excellent ML materials.The introduction of Si^(4+)caused lattice distortion and promoted defect formation in the system.The trap level energy greatly increased and the trap depth changed,which enhanced the trap ability and therefore improved effectively the ML properties.Hua Fang Gaojian Qiu Xusheng Wang Yanxia Li Xi Yao 2018Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2018,8,3:0
15Continuous cropping of alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) reduces bacterial diversity and simplifies cooccurrence networks in aeolian sandy soil显示文摘Alfalfa is a perennial herbaceous forage legume that is remarkably and negatively affected by monocropping.However,the contribution of the changes in bacterial communities to soil sickness in alfalfa have not been elucidated.Therefore,we investigated bacterial community structures in response to monocropped alfalfa along the chronosequence.Continuous cropping remarkably reduced bacterial alpha diversity and altered community structures,and soil pH,total P and available P were strongly associated with the changes of bacterial diversity and community structures.Intriguingly,10 years of monocropped alfalfa might be a demarcation point separating soil bacterial community structures into two obvious groups that containing soil samples collected in less and more than 10 years.The relative abundances of copiotrophic bacteria of Actinobacteria and Gammaproteobacteria significantly increased with the extension of continuous cropping years,while the oligotrophic bacteria of Armatimonadetes,Chloroflexi,Firmicutes and Gemmatimonadetes showed the opposite changing patterns.Among those altered phyla,Actinobacteria,Chloroflexi,Alphaproteobacteria and Acidobacteria were the most important bacteria which contributed 50.86%of the community variations. Additionally, the relative abundances of nitrogen fixation bacteria ofBradyrhizobium and Mesorhizobium obviously increased with continuous cropping years, while theabundances of Arthrobacter, Bacillus, Burkholderiaceae and Microbacterium with potential functionsof solubilizing phosphorus and potassium remarkably decreased after long-term continuouscropping. Furthermore, bacterial cooccurrence patterns were significantly influenced by continuouscropping years, with long-term monocropped alfalfa simplifying the complexity of the cooccurrencenetworks.
