| 1 | Air-sea heat flux exchange over the South China Sea under different weather conditions before and after southwest monsoon onset in 2000显示文摘With the data observed from the Second SCS Air-Sea Flux Experiment on the Xisha air-sea flux research tower, the radiation budget, latent, sensible heat fluxes and net oceanic heat budgetswere caculated before and after summer monsoon onset. It is discovered that, after summer monsoononset, there are considerable changes in air-sea fluxes, especially in latent heat fluxes and net oceanicheat budget. Furthermre, the analyzed results of five synoptic stages are compared. And the character-istics of the flux transfer during different stages around onset of South China Sea monsoon are discussed.The flux change shows that there is an oceanic heat accumulating process during the pre-onset and thebreak period, as same as oceanic heat losing process during the onset period. Moreover, latent fluxes,the water vapor moving to the continent, even the rainfall appearance in Chinese Mainland also can beinfluenced by southwester. Comparing Xisha fluxes with those obtained from the Indian Ocean and thewestern Pacific Ocean, their differences may be obeerved. | 3 | Towards carbon neutrality:A study on China's long-term low-carbon transition pathways and strategies显示文摘As the world's biggest carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emitter and the largest developing country,China faces daunting challenges to peak its emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality within 40 years.This study fully considered the carbon-neutrality goal and the temperature rise constraints required by the Paris Agreement,by developing six long-term development scenarios,and conducting a quantitative evaluation on the carbon emissions pathways,energy transformation,technology,policy and investment demand for each scenario.This study combined both bottom-up and top-down methodologies,including simulations and analyses of energy consumption of end-use and power sectors(bottom-up),as well as scenario analysis,investment demand and technology evaluation at the macro level(top-down).This study demonstrates that achieving carbon neutrality before 2060 translates to significant efforts and overwhelming challenges for China.To comply with the target,a high rate of an average annual reduction of CO_(2) emissions by 9.3%from 2030 to 2050 is a necessity,which requires a huge investment demand.For example,in the 1.5℃ scenario,an investment in energy infrastructure alone equivalent to 2.6%of that year's GDP will be necessary.The technological pathway towards carbon neutrality will rely highly on both conventional emission reduction technologies and breakthrough technologies.China needs to balance a long-term development strategy of lower greenhouse gas emissions that meets both the Paris Agreement and the long-term goals for domestic economic and social development,with a phased implementation for both its five-year and long-term plans. | Jiankun He Zheng Li Xiliang Zhang Hailin Wang Wenjuan Dong Ershun Du Shiyan Chang Xunmin Ou Siyue Guo Zhiyu Tian Alun Gu Fei Teng Bin Hu Xiu Yang Siyuan Chen Mingtao Yao Zhiyi Yuan Li Zhou Xiaofan Zhao Ying Li Danwei Zhang | 2022 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2022,,1: | 2 |

| 6 | Selective detection of mercury(II) and methylmercury(II) via coordinationinduced emission of a small-molecule probe显示文摘Mercury is one of the major toxic pollutants and has many adverse effects on human health. The main mercury species in the environment or in living organisms are inorganic mercuric ion(Hg^(2+)) and organic methylmercury(CH_3Hg^+). Detection of the two mercury ions is a particularly active topic in the molecular sensing field during the past decade. However, efficient sensors that can sensitively detect and discriminate the two species are rare. In this work, we adopt the concept of restriction of intramolecular rotations which is the basis of aggregation induced emission, and design a molecular probe with pyridyl group as the chelating unit and 1,8-naphthalimide as the fluorescent unit for the detection of both Hg^(2+) and CH_3Hg^+. When the probe is free in solution, it exhibits weak fluorescence because free intramolecular rotations of the 1,8-naphthalimide moieties non-radiatively annihilate its excited state. However, upon coordination with Hg^(2+) or CH_3Hg^+, the rotation of 1,8-naphthalimide moieties would be restricted due to the chelation between 1,8-naphthalimide and Hg^(2+) or CH_3Hg^+, leading to significantly enhanced fluorescent emission. The response induced by Hg^(2+) is much stronger than CH_3Hg^+; but for specific detection of CH_3Hg^+, we introduced a T-rich DNA fragment which could completely mask Hg^(2+) in solution. Furthermore, we have employed the sensor for confocal imaging of Hg^(2+)and CH_3Hg^+in immobilized cells. | 13 | Giant low-field magnetocaloric effect in ferromagnetically ordered Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds显示文摘Magnetocaloric material is the key working substance for magnetic refrigerant technology,for which the low-field and low-temperature magnetocaloric effect(MCE)performance is of great importance for practical applications at low temperatures.Here,a giant low-field magnetocaloric effect in ferromagnetically ordered Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds was reported,and the magnetic structure was characterized based on low-temperature neutron powder diffraction.With increasing Tm content from 0 to 1,the Curie temperature of Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds decreases from 16.0 K to 3.6 K.For Er_(0.7)Tm_(0.3)Al_(2) compound,it showed the largest low-field magnetic entropy change(–SM)with the peak value of 17.2 and 25.7 J/(kg K)for 0–1 T and 0–2 T,respectively.The(–SM)max up to 17.2 J/(kg K)of Er0.7Tm0.3Al2 compound for 0–1 T is the largest among the intermetallic magnetocaloric materials ever reported at temperatures below 20 K.The peak value of adiabatic temperature change(Tad)max was determined as 4.13 K and 6.87 K for 0–1 T and 0–2 T,respectively.The characteristic of second-order magnetic transitions was confirmed on basis of Arrott plots,the quantitative criterion of exponent n,rescaled universal curves,and the mean-field theory criterion.The outstanding low-field MCE performance with low working temperatures indicates that Er_(1-x)Tm_(x)Al_(2)(0≤x≤1)compounds are promising candidates for magnetic cooling materials at liquid hydrogen and liquid helium temperatures. | Shuxian Yang Xinqi Zheng Dingsong Wang Juping Xu Wen Yin Lei Xi Chaofan Liu Jun Liu Jiawang Xu Hu Zhang Zhiyi Xu Lichen Wang Yihong Yao Maosen Zhang Yichi Zhang Jianxin Shen Shouguo Wang Baogen Shen | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,15: | 0 |

| 15 | Comprehensive understanding on sources of high levels of fine particulate nitro-aromatic compounds at a coastal rural area in northern China显示文摘Nitro-aromatic compounds(NACs)are among the major components of brown carbon(BrC)in the atmosphere,causing negative impacts on regional climate,air quality,and ecological health.Due to the extensive origins,it is still a challenge to figure out the contributions and originating regions for different sources of atmospheric NACs.Here,field observations on fine particulate NACs were conducted at a coastal rural area in Qingdao,China in the winter of 2018 and 2019.The mean total concentrations of fine particulate nitro-aromatic compounds were 125.0±89.5 and 27.7±21.1 ng/m^(3)in the winter of 2018 and 2019,respectively.Among the measured eleven NACs,nitrophenols and nitrocatechols were the most abundant species.Variation characteristics and correlation analysis showed that humidity and anthropogenic primary emissions had significant influences on the NAC abundances.In this study,two tracing methods of the improved spatial concentration weighted trajectory(SCWT)model and the receptor model of positive matrix factorization(PMF)were combined to comprehensively understand the origins of NACs in fine particles at coastal Qingdao.Four major sources were identified,including coal combustion,biomass burning,vehicle exhaust,and secondary formation.Surprisingly,coal combustion was responsible for about half of the observed nitro-aromatic compounds,followed by biomass burning(~30%).The results by SCWT demonstrated that the coal combustion dominated NACs mainly originated from the Shandong peninsula and the areas to the north and southwest,while those dominated by biomass burning primarily came from local Qingdao and the areas to the west. | Yueru Jiang Xinfeng Wang Min Li Yiheng Liang Zhiyi Liu Jing Chen Tianyi Guan Jiangshan Mu Yujiao Zhu He Meng Yang Zhou Lan Yao Likun Xue Wenxing Wang | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Self-assembly of insulated molecular wires of a water-soluble cationic PPV and anionic dendrons显示文摘Insulated molecular wires of poly(phenylenevinylene) (PPV) were prepared by wrapping the conjugated backbones with dendrons through a noncovalent approach. It was found that electrostatic interaction between the quaternary ammonium groups of PPV-1 and the carboxylate moieties in dendrons induced the packing of dendrons along PPV-1 conjugated backbones. Absorption and emission spectroscopic examinations in solution and solid film indicated that the PPV-1 backbones adopted a more planar and isolated conformation in the complexes.
