1Late Miocene Red River submarine fan,northwestern South China Sea显示文摘A huge submarine fan is discovered through the research of the seismic and borehole data in the binding site of Yinggehai basin and Qiongdongnan basin in northwestern South China Sea.The fan,mainly formed during Late Miocene (Huangliu period) has an area over 10000 km 2 and maximum thickness of over 2000 m.It is characterized by a wedge-shaped oblique progradation configuration on the dip profile and a hummocky bidirectional progradation configuration on the strike profile.The core and Logging data from the well YC35-1-2 located in the front side of the fan indicate that sandy gravity flow deposits are predominant in lower Huangliu Formation and change to interbeds of sand and mud in upper Huangliu Formation.The fan is interpreted as a sand/mud-rich submarine fan in combination with the bathyal geological background of Huangliu period.A preliminary analysis of provenance indicates that neither the Guiren Uplift in the west nor the Hainan Uplift in the north can serve as the major provenance for the submarine fan.The provenance is considered to be from the Red River,based on the sedimentary facies study of the Huangliu Formation in Yinggehai basin.The fan is thus named as 'Red River submarine fan'.The Red River depositional system consists of the Red River submarine fan,the Red River delta,and associated submarine canyons.The discovery of the Red River submarine fan provides important information for the research of the uplift of Tibetan Plateau and the evolvement of Red River Fault Zone.Furthermore,it also points out a new direction for the deepwater hydrocarbon exploration in the northern South China Sea.WANG YingMin XU Qiang LI Dong HAN JianHui LU Ming WANG YongFeng LI WeiGuo WANG HaiRong 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,14:28
2Blocking FSH inhibits hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis and reduces serum cholesterol显示文摘Menopause is associated with dyslipidemia and an increased risk of cardio-cerebrovascular disease.The classic view assumes that the underlying mechanism of dyslipidemia is attributed to an insufficiency of estrogen.In addition to a decrease in estrogen, circulating follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH)levels become elevated at menopause.In this study,we find that blocking FSH reduces serum cholesterol via inhibiting hepatic cholesterol biosynthesis.First,epidemiological results show that the serum FSH levels are positively correlated with the serum total cholesterol levels,even after adjustment by considering the effects of serum estrogen,in addition,the prevalence of hypercholesterolemia is significantly higher in peri-menopausal women than that in premenopausal women.Furthermore,we generated a mouse model of FSH elevation by intraperitoneally injecting exogenous FSH into ovariectomized (OVX)mice,in which a normal level of estrogen (E2)was maintained by exogenous supplementation. Consistently,the results indicate that FSH,independent of estrogen,increases the serum cholesterol level in this mouse model. 3A two degree of freedom stable quasi-zero stiffness prototype and its applications in aseismic engineering显示文摘In this paper, an archetypal aseismic system is proposed with 2-degree of freedom based on a smooth and discontinuous(SD)oscillator to avoid the failure of electric power system under the complex excitation of seismic waves. This model comprises two vibration isolation units for the orthogonal horizontal directions, and each of them admits the stable quasi-zero stiffness(SQZS)with a pair of inclined linear elastic springs. The equation of motion is formulated by using Lagrange equation, and the SQZS condition is obtained by optimizing the parameters of the system. The analysis shows that the system behaves a remarkable vibration isolation performance with low resonant frequency and a large stroke of SQZS interval. 4Task-related functional magnetic resonance imaging-based neuronavigation for the treatment of depression by individualized repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation of the visual cortex显示文摘To determine whether repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS)of the visual cortex(VC)provides effective and welltolerated treatment and whether magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)measures functional change of the VC as a biomarker of therapeutic effect in major depressive disorder(MDD),we performed a sham-controlled,double-blind,randomized,three-arm VC rTMS treatment study in 74 MDD patients.Neuronavigated rTMS(10 Hz,90%of resting motor threshold,1,600 pulses over20 min twice per day)was performed over the VC for five days.Clinical outcome was measured by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD-24)at days 0,1,3,5 and after terminating rTMS,with follow-up at four weeks.MRI was measured at days 0 and5.The individualized group exhibited the greatest change in HAMD-24 scores after VC rTMS for 5 days(F=5.53,P=0.005),which were maintained during follow-up period(F=4.22,P=0.016).All patients reported good tolerance.Changes in VC taskrelated functional MRI correlated with symptomatic reduction in the individualized group.Treatment reduced the initially abnormal increase in resting state functional connectivity from the VC to the pre/subgenual anterior cingulate cortex at day 5,especially in the individualized group.We demonstrated therapeutic potential and good tolerance of VC rTMS in MDD patients,indicated by biomarkers of f MRI measurement.Zhijun Zhang Hongxing Zhang Chun-Ming Xie Meng Zhang Yachen Shi Ruize Song Xiang Lu Haisan Zhang Kun Li Bi Wang Yongfeng Yang Xianrui Li Jianli Zhu Yang Zhao Ti-Fei Yuan Georg Northoff 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,1:8

6Simulation and Experiment for Oxygen-enriched Combustion Engine Using Liquid Oxygen to Solidify CO2显示文摘For capturing and recycling of CO_2 in the internal combustion engine, Rankle cycle engine can reduce the exhaust pollutants effectively under the condition of ensuring the engine thermal efficiency by using the techniques of spraying water in the cylinder and optimizing the ignition advance angle. However, due to the water spray nozzle need to be installed on the cylinder, which increases the cylinder head design difficulty and makes the combustion conditions become more complicated. In this paper, a new method is presented to carry out the closing inlet and exhaust system for internal combustion engines. The proposed new method uses liquid oxygen to solidify part of cooled CO_2 from exhaust system into dry ice and the liquid oxygen turns into gas oxygen which is sent to inlet system. The other part of CO_2 is sent to inlet system and mixed with oxygen, which can reduce the oxygen-enriched combustion detonation tendency and make combustion stable. Computing grid of the IP52 FMI single-cylinder four-stroke gasoline-engine is established according to the actual shape of the combustion chamber using KIVA-3V program. The effects of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) rate are analyzed on the temperatures, the pressures and the instantaneous heat release rates when the EGR rate is more than 8%. The possibility of enclosing intake and exhaust system for engine is verified. The carbon dioxide trapping device is designed and the IP52 FMI engine is transformed and the CO_2 capture experiment is carried out. The experimental results show that when the EGR rate is 36% for the optimum EGR rate. When the liquid oxygen of 35.80–437.40 g is imported into the device and last 1–20 min, respectively, 21.50–701.30 g dry ice is obtained. 7Enhancing the expansion of a plasma shockwave by crater-induced laser refocusing in femtosecond laser ablation of fused silica显示文摘The dynamics of plasma and shockwave expansion during two femtosecond laser pulse ablation of fused silica are studied using a time-resolved shadowgraph imaging technique. The experimental results reveal that during the second pulse irradiation on the crater induced by the first pulse, the expansion of the plasma and shockwave is enhanced in the longitudinal direction. The plasma model and Fresnel diffraction theory are combined to calculate the laser intensity distribution by considering the change in surface morphology and transient material properties. The theoretical results show that after the free electron density induced by the rising edge of the pulse reaches the critical density, the originally transparent surface is transformed into a transient high-reflectivity surface(metallic state). Thus, the crater with a concave-lens-like morphology can tremendously reflect and refocus the latter part of the laser pulse, leading to a strong laser field with an intensity even higher than the incident intensity. This strong refocused laser pulse results in a stronger laser-induced air breakdown and enhances the subsequent expansion of the plasma and shockwave. 11Ultrafast optical response and ablation mechanisms of molybdenum disulfide under intense femtosecond laser irradiation显示文摘Numerous valuable studies on electron dynamics have focussed on the extraordinary properties of molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2));however,most of them were confined to the level below the damage threshold.Here the electron dynamics of MoS_(2) under intense ultrafast laser irradiation was investigated by experiments and simulations.Two kinds of ablation mechanisms were revealed,which led to two distinct types of electron dynamics and final ablation morphology.At a higher fluence,the emergence of superheated liquid induced a dramatic change in the transient reflectivity and micro-honeycomb structures.At a lower fluence,the material was just removed by sublimation,and the ablation structure was relatively flat.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic(XPS)measurements demonstrated that thermal decomposition only occurred at the higher fluence.Furthermore,a theoretical model was developed to deeply reveal the ultrafast dynamics of MoS_(2) ablation.The simulation results were in good agreement with the temporal and spatial reflectivity distribution obtained from the experiment.The electron and lattice temperature evolution was also obtained to prove the ablation mechanism.Our results revealed ultrafast dynamics of MoS_(2) above the damage threshold and are helpful for understanding the interaction mechanism between MoS_(2) and intense ultrafast lasers,as well as for MoS_(2) processing applications.Changji Pan Lan Jiang Jingya Sun Qingsong Wang Feifei Wang Kai Wang Yongfeng Lu Yeliang Wang Liangti Qu Tianhong Cui 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:4
12Hybrid superhydrophilic-superhydrophobic micro/nanostructures fabricated by femtosecond laserinduced forward transfer for sub-femtomolar Raman detection显示文摘Raman spectroscopy plays a crucial role in biochemical analysis.Recently,superhydrophobic surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)substrates have enhanced detection limits by concentrating target molecules into small areas.However,due to the wet transition phenomenon,further reduction of the droplet contact area is prevented,and the detection limit is restricted.This paper proposes a simple method involving femtosecond laser-induced forward transfer for preparing a hybrid superhydrophilic–superhydrophobic SERS(HS-SERS)substrate by introducing a superhydrophilic pattern to promote the target molecules to concentrate on it for ultratrace detection.Furthermore,the HS-SERS substrate is heated to promote a smaller concentrated area.The water vapor film formed by the contact of the solution with the substrate overcomes droplet collapse,and the target molecules are completely concentrated into the superhydrophilic region without loss during evaporation.Finally,the concentrated region is successfully reduced,and the detection limit is enhanced.The HS-SERS substrate achieved a final contact area of 0.013mm2,a 12.1-fold decrease from the unheated case.The reduction of the contact area led to a detection limit concentration as low as 10−16 M for a Rhodamine 6G solution.In addition,the HS-SERS substrate accurately controlled the size of the concentrated areas through the superhydrophilic pattern,which can be attributed to the favorable repeatability of the droplet concentration results.In addition,the preparation method is flexible and has the potential for fluid mixing,fluid transport,and biochemical sensors,etc.Xiaodan Ma Lan Jiang Xiaowei Li Bohong Li Ji Huang Jiaxing Sun Zhi Wang Zhijie Xu Liangti Qu Yongfeng Lu Tianhong Cui 2019Microsystems & Nanoengineering2019,5,1:3
13The vertical structure of the atmospheric boundary layer over the central Arctic Ocean显示文摘The tropopause height and the atmospheric boundary layer(PBL)height as well as the variation of inversion layer above the floating ice surface are presented using GPS(global position system)radiosonde sounding data and relevant data obtained by China’s fourth arctic scientific expedition team over the central Arctic Ocean(86–88 N,144–170 W)during the summer of 2010.The tropopause height is from 9.8 to 10.5 km,with a temperature range between–52.2 and–54.1 C in the central Arctic Ocean.Two zones of maximum wind(over 12 m/s)are found in the wind profile,namely,low-and upper-level jets,located in the middle troposphere and the tropopause,respectively.The wind direction has a marked variation point in the two jets from the southeast to the southwest.The average PBL height determined by two methods is 341 and 453m respectively.These two methods can both be used when the inversion layer is very low,but the results vary significantly when the inversion layer is very high.A significant logarithmic relationship exists between the PBL height and the inversion intensity,with a correlation coefficient of 0.66,indicating that the more intense the temperature inversion is,the lower the boundary layer will be.The observation results obviously differ from those of the third arctic expedition zone(80–85 N).The PBL height and the inversion layer thickness are much lower than those at 87–88 N,but the inversion temperature is more intense,meaning a strong iceatmosphere interaction in the sea near the North Pole.The PBL structure is related to the weather system and the sea ice concentration,which affects the observation station.BIAN Lingen MA Yongfeng LU Changgui LIN Xiang 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,10:3

16Regulation of Leaf Longevity by DML3-Mediated DNA Demethylation显示文摘Leaf senescence is driven by the expression of senescence-associated genes(SAGs).Development-specific genes often undergo DNA demethylation in their promoter and other regions,which regulates gene expression.Whether and how DNA demethylation regulates the expression of SAGs and thus leaf senescence remain elusive.Whole-genome bisulfite sequencing(WGBS)analyses of wild-type(WT)and demeter-like 3(dml3)Arabidopsis leaves at three developmental stages revealed hypermethylation during leaf senescence in dml3 compared with WT,and 20556 differentially methylated regions(DMRs)were identified by comparing the methylomes of dml3 and WT in the CG,CHG,and CHH contexts.Furthermore,we identified that 335 DMR-associated genes(DMGs),such as NAC016 and SEN1,are upregulated during leaf senescence,and found an inverse correlation between the DNA methylation levels(especially in the promoter regions)and the transcript abundances of the related SAGs in WT.In contrast,in dml3 the promoters of SAGs were hypermethylated and their transcript levels were remarkably reduced,and leaf senescence was significantly delayed.Collectively,our study unraveled a novel epigenetic regulatory mechanism underlying leaf senescence in which DML3 is expressed at the onset of and during senescence to demethylate promoter,gene body or 3'UTR regions to activate a set of SAGs.Lu Yuan Dan Wang Liwen Cao Ningning Yu Ke Liu Yongfeng Guo Susheng Gan Liping Chen 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,8:3

19Tubular/helical architecture construction based on rolled-up AlN nanomembranes and resonance as optical microcavity显示文摘Aluminum nitride(AlN)has attracted a great amount of interest due to the fact that these group III–V semiconductors present direct band gap behavior and are compatible with current micro-electro-mechanical systems.In this work,three dimensional(3D)AlN architectures including tubes and helices were constructed by rolling up AlN nanomembranes grown on a silicon-on-insulator wafer via magnetron sputtering.The properties of the AlN membrane were characterized through transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction.The thickness of AlN nanomembranes could be tuned via the RIE thinning method,and thus micro-tubes with different diameters were fabricated.The intrinsic strain in AlN membranes was investigated via micro-Raman spectroscopy,which agrees well with theory prediction.Whispering gallery mode was observed in AlN tubular optical microcavity in photoluminescence spectrum.A postprocess involving atomic layer deposition and R6G immersion were employed on as-fabricated AlN tubes to promote the Q-factor.The AlN tubular micro-resonators could offer a novel design route for Si-based integrated light sources.In addition,the rolled-up technology paves a new way for AlN 3D structure fabrication,which is promising for AlN application in MEMS and photonics fields.Jinyu Yang Yang Wang Lu Wang Ziao Tian Zengfeng Di Yongfeng Mei 2020Journal of Semiconductors2020,41,4:2
20Ultrafast dynamics observation during femtosecond laser-material interaction显示文摘Femtosecond laser technology has attracted significant attention from the viewpoints of fundamental and application;especially femtosecond laser processing materials present the unique mechanism of laser-material interaction.Under the extreme nonequilibrium conditions imposed by femtosecond laser irradiation,many fundamental questions concerning the physical origin of the material removal process remain unanswered.In this review,cutting-edge ultrafast dynamic observation techniques for investigating the fundamental questions,including timeresolved pump-probe shadowgraphy,ultrafast continuous optical imaging,and four-dimensional ultrafast scanning electron microscopy,are comprehensively surveyed.Each technique is described in depth,beginning with its basic principle,followed by a description of its representative applications in laser-material interaction and its strengths and limitations.The consideration of temporal and spatial resolutions and panoramic measurement at different scales are two major challenges.Hence,the prospects for technical advancement in this field are discussed finally.Baoshan Guo Jingya Sun YongFeng Lu Lan Jiang 2019International Journal of Extreme Manufacturing2019,1,3:2
