The molecular weight of AFP was 50 ku by SDS-PAGE measurement. The average thermal hysteresis activity (THA) of AFP was 0.35℃ at 5 mg/mL using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC). This AFP showed heated stability. | 5 | Selecting pinning nodes to control complex networked systems显示文摘One of the fundamental problems in pinning control of complex networks is selecting appropriate pinning nodes, such that the whole system is controlled. This is particularly useful for complex networks with huge numbers of nodes. Recent research has yielded several pinning node selection strategies, which may be efficient. However, selecting a set of pinning nodes and identifying the nodes that should be selected first remain challenging problems. In this paper, we present a network control strategy based on left Perron vector. For directed networks where nodes have the same in-and out-degrees, there has so far been no effective pinning node selection strategy, but our method can find suitable nodes. Likewise, our method also performs well for undirected networks where the nodes have the same degree. In addition, we can derive the minimum set of pinning nodes and the order in which they should be selected for given coupling strengths. Our proofs of these results depend on the properties of non-negative matrices and M-matrices. | 6 | A novel pathway regulates social hierarchy via lncRNA AtLAS and postsynaptic synapsin Ⅱb显示文摘Dominance hierarchy is a fundamental phenomenon in grouped animals and human beings,however,the underlying regulatory mechanisms remain elusive.Here,we report that an antisense long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)of synapsinⅡ;named as AtLAS,plays a crucial role in the regulation of social hierarchy.AtLAS is decreased in the prefrontal cortical excitatory pyramidal neurons of dominant mice;consistently,silencing or overexpression of AtLAS increases or decreases the social rank,respectively.Mechanistically,we show that AtLAS regulates alternative polyadenylation of synapsinⅡgene and increases synapsin 2b(syn2b)expression.Syn2b reduces AMPA receptor(AMPAR)-mediated excitatory synaptic transmission through a direct binding with AMPAR at the postsynaptic site via its unique C-terminal sequence.Moreover,a peptide disrupting the binding of syn2b with AMPARs enhances the synaptic strength and social ranks.These findings reveal a novel role for lncRNA AtLAS and its target syn2b in the regulation of social behaviors by controlling postsynaptic AMPAR trafficking. | Mei Ma Wan Xiong Fan Hu Man-Fei Deng Xian Huang Jian-Guo Chen Heng-Ye Man Youming Lu Dan Liu Ling-Qiang Zhu | 2020 | Cell Research2020,30,2: | 3 |
| 7 | Determination of ginsenoside compound K in human plasma by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry of lithium adducts显示文摘Ginsenoside compound K(GCK), the main metabolite of protopanaxadiol constituents of Panax ginseng, easily produces alkali metal adduct ions during mass spectrometry particularly with lithium. Accordingly, we have developed a rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometric method for analysis of GCK in human plasma based on formation of a lithium adduct. The analyte and paclitaxel(internal standard) were extracted from 50 m L human plasma using methyl tertbutyl ether. Chromatographic separation was performed on a Phenomenex Gemini C18 column(50 mm 2.0 mm; 5 μm) using stepwise gradient elution with acetonitrile–water and 0.2 mmol/L lithium carbonate at a flow rate of 0.5 m L/min. Detection was performed in the positive ion mode using multiple reaction monitoring of the transitions at m/z 629-449 for the GCK-lithium adduct and m/z 860-292 for the adduct of paclitaxel. The assay was linear in the concentration range 1.00–1000 ng/m L(r^2>40.9988)with intra- and inter-day precision of ±8.4% and accuracy in the range of 4.8% to 6.5%. Recovery,stability and matrix effects were all satisfactory. | 8 | VGLUT3 neurons in median raphe control the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval via ETV4 regulation of VGLUT3 transcription显示文摘The raphe nucleus is critical for feeding, rewarding and memory. However, how the heterogenous raphe neurons are molecularly and structurally organized to engage their divergent functions remains unknown. Here, we genetically target a subset of neurons expressing VGLUT3. VGLUT3 neurons control the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval by synapsing directly with parvalbumin-expressing GABA interneurons(PGIs) in the dentate gyrus. In a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease(AD mice),VGLUT3→PGIs synaptic transmission is impaired by ETV4 inhibition of VGLUT3 transcription. ETV4 binds to a promoter region of VGLUT3 and activates VGLUT3 transcription in VGLUT3 neurons. Strengthening VGLUT3→PGIs synaptic transmission by ETV4 activation of VGLUT3 transcription upscales the efficacy of spatial memory retrieval in AD mice. | 9 | Strain enhancement for a MoS2-on-GaN photodetector with an Al2O3 stress liner grown by atomic layer deposition显示文摘Strain regulation as an effective way to enhance the photoelectric properties of two dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides has been widely employed to improve the performance of photovoltaic devices.In this work,tensile strain was introduced in multilayer MoS2 grown on GaN by depositing 3 nm of Al2O3 on the surface.The temperature dependent Raman spectrum shows that the thermal stability of MoS2 is improved by Al2O3.Theoretical simulations confirmed the existence of tensile strain on MoS2 covered with Al2O3,and the bandgap and electron effective mass of six layers of MoS2 decreased due to tensile strain,which resulted in an increase of electron mobility.Due to the tensile strain ffect,the photodetector with the Al2O3 stress liner achieved better performance under the illumination of 365 nm wavelength,including a higher responsivity of 24.6 A/W,photoconductive gain of 520,and external quantum fficiency of 8381%,which are more than twice the corresponding values of photodetectors without Al2O3.Our work provides an effective technical way for improving the performance of 2D material photodetectors. | ZHIWEN LI JIANGLIU LUO SHENGQUN HU QIANG LIU WENJIE Yu YOUMING LU XINKE LIU | 2020 | Photonics Research2020,8,6: | 1 |

X-ray diffraction measurement reveals that phase separation of the Mgx Zn1–x O films occurred at x =0.44 and 0.51. Optical absorption spectra show that the absorption edges of the films shift to high-energy side with increasing Mg contents. In resonant Raman spectra, multiple-order Raman peaks originating from ZnO-like longitudinal optical phonons were observed. | 13 | Observation of table-like magnetocaloric effect and large refrigerant capacity in Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(1-x)Cu_(x) compounds显示文摘The table-like magnetocaloric effect is significant for the magnetic refrigeration applications above 20 K based on the Ericsson cycle.Herein,we prepared a series of Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(1-x)Cu_(x)(x=0.05,0.1,0.15)compounds by the arc-melting method.These compounds show the single crystalline phase in the tetragonal Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Si-type structure with the space group I4/mcm.A magnetic phase transition from ferromagnetism to antiferromagnetism and a metamagnetic transition from the antiferromagnetic state to the ferromagnetic state are observed in each of the compounds.The compounds exhibit table-like magnetocaloric effects with large refrigerant capacities.A constantΔSM in a temperature span of 40 K in the Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(0.85)Cu_(0.15) compound are observed.For a field change of 0–5 T,the peak values of–ΔS_(M) for the Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(0.95)Cu_(0.05),Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(0.90)Cu_(0.10),and Nd_(6)Fe_(13)Pd_(0.85)Cu_(0.15) compounds are estimated to be 4.8,4.6 and 4.4 J/(kg·K)with corresponding refrigerant capacity values of 323,331 and 316 J/kg,respectively.The obtained table-like magnetocaloric effects with large refrigerant capacities as well as fairly small thermal and magnetic hysteresis deem these series of compounds good candidates for single-phase magnetic refrigeration based on the Ericsson cycle. | Yusong Du Chaohua Zhang Youming Lu Junqin Li Gang Cheng Jiang Wang Guanghui Rao | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,4: | 1 |

| 19 | miR-34b-3p Inhibition of eIF4E Causes Post-stroke Depression in Adult Mice显示文摘Post-stroke depression(PSD)is a serious and common complication of stroke,which seriously afects the rehabilitation of stroke patients.To date,the pathogenesis of PSD is unclear and efective treatments remain unavailable.Here,we established a mouse model of PSD through photothrombosis-induced focal ischemia.By using a combination of brain imaging,transcriptome sequencing,and bioinformatics analysis,we found that the hippocampus of PSD mice had a signifcantly lower metabolic level than other brain regions.RNA sequencing revealed a signifcant reduction of miR34b-3p,which was expressed in hippocampal neurons and inhibited the translation of eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E(eIF4E).Furthermore,silencing eIF4E inactivated microglia,inhibited neuroinfammation,and abolished the depression-like behaviors in PSD mice.Together,our data demonstrated that insufcient miR34b-3p after stroke cannot inhibit eIF4E translation,which causes PSD by the activation of microglia in the hippocampus.Therefore,miR34b-3p and eIF4E may serve as potential therapeutic targets for the treatment of PSD. | Xiao Ke Manfei Deng Zhuoze Wu Hongyan Yu Dian Yu Hao Li Youming Lu Kai Shu Lei Pei | 2023 | Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,2: | 0 |
