1Mulberry leaf flavonoids protect against glucotoxicity-induced INS-1 cell apoptosis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of mulberry leaf flavonoids (MLF) on apoptosis of pancreatic cells induced by high glucose.METHODS:Long exposure to high glucose induces apoptosis of pancreaticβcells, which can lead to diabetes. In this study, we used the rat insulinoma cell line, INS-1. High glucose (33.3 mM) was used to establish a glucotoxicity model. The MTT assay was used to evaluate the MLF effect on cell viability.INS-1 cells were treated with various concentra-tions of MLF (125, 250 and 500 mg/L) for 24 h, and then stimulated with 5.5 or 33.3 mM glucose for 48 h.Then, the cell supernatants were collected for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to determine the level of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase(CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), malondialdehyde (MDA), monocyte chemoattractant protein1 (MCP-1), tumor necrosis factor a (TNF-α) and interleukin 6 (IL-6). Western blotting was used to determine the expression of Bcl-2, Bax, caspase-3 and Caspase-9. Cell apoptosis was measured by Annexin V-FITC/propidium iodide double staining and flow cytometry.RESULTS:MLF (125-500 mg/L) improved cell viability. Furthermore, MLF (250 and 500 mg/L) inhibited apoptosis induced by high glucose. The anti-apoptosis effect of MLF was associated with increased SOD, CAT and GSH-Px expression, as well as reduced MDA levels in high-glucose-treated INS-1cells. Moreover, MLF upregulated Bcl-2 expression,downregulated Bax expression, and reduced the expression of caspase-3 and Caspase-9. 2Substrate stiffness modulates bone marrow-derived macrophage polarization through NF-κB signaling pathway显示文摘The stiffness of the extracellular matrix(ECM)plays an important role in regulating the cellular programming.However,the mechanical characteristics of ECM affecting cell differentiation are still under investigated.Herein,we aimed to study the effect of ECM substrate stiffness on macrophage polarization.We prepared polyacrylamide hydrogels with different substrate stiffness,respectively.After the hydrogels were confirmed to have a good biocompatibility,the bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMMs)from mice were incubated on the hydrogels.With simulated by the low substrate stiffness,BMMs displayed an enhanced expression of CD86 on the cell surface and production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in cells,and secreted more IL-1βand TNF-αin the supernatant.On the contrary,stressed by the medium stiffness,BMMs expressed more CD206,produced less ROS,and secreted more IL-4 and TGF-β.In vivo study by delivered the hydrogels subcutaneously in mice,more CD68+CD86+cells around the hydrogels with the low substrate stiffness were observed while more CD68+CD206+cells near by the middle stiffness hydrogels.In addition,the expressions of NIK,phosphorylated p65(pi-p65)and phosphorylated IκB(pi-IκB)were significantly increased after stimulation with low stiffness in BMMs.Taken together,these findings demonstrated that substrate stiffness could affect macrophages polarization.Low substrate stiffness promoted BMMs to shift to classically activated macrophages(M1)and the middle one to alternatively activated macrophages(M2),through modulating ROS-initiated NF-κB pathway.Therefore,we anticipated ECM-based substrate stiffness with immune modulation would be under consideration in the clinical applications if necessary.Mimi Chen Yu Zhang Pinghui Zhou Xingzhi Liu Huan Zhao Xichao Zhou Qiaoli Gu Bin Li Xuesong Zhu Qin Shi 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,4:7
3Evaluation of the secondary structures of protein in the extracellular polymeric substances extracted from activated sludge by different methods显示文摘The changes of protein secondary structures in the extracellular polymeric substances(EPS) extracted from activated sludge by four different methods were studied by analyzing the amide I region(1700–1600 cm-1) of the Fourier transform infrared spectra and model protein test. The results showed the molecular weight distribution of organic matter extracted by centrifugation, heating and cation exchange resin(CER) was similar, while the EPS extracted by centrifugation(Control) and CER had similar fluorescent organic matter. The protein secondary structures of extracted EPS by the four methods were different. The similarities of protein secondary structures between the EPS extracted by CER with the Control were the highest among the four extracted EPS. Although the EPS yield extracted by formaldehyde + NaOH method were the highest, its protein secondary structures had the lowest similarity with those extracted by the Control. Additionally, the effects of centrifugation and CER extraction on the secondary structures of bovine serum albumin were also lower than that of other extraction processes. 5Machining fixture for adaptive CNC machining process of near-net-shaped jet engine blade显示文摘Low stiffness and positioning problems are difficulties and challenges in the precise machining of near-net-shaped blades.This paper aims to achieve high accuracy in manufacturing by fixture-and deformation-control in the adaptive CNC machining process.Adaptive CNC machining technology is first analyzed,and new fixture-evaluation criteria and methods to evaluate the adaptive CNC machining process fixture design are built.Second,a machining fixture is designed and manufactured after analyzing its positioning scheme,clamping scheme,materials(PEEK-GF30),and structure characteristics.Finally,the designed fixture is analyzed by FEA and experimentally verified by a cutting experiment.The results show that the deformation of the blade is an overall rigid-body displacement,the main deformation of the blade-fixture system occurs on the four clamping heads,and this fixture can effectively protect the blade from local deformation.The proposed clamping-sequence method reliably and effectively controls the local maximum deformation of the blade.The system stiffness is increased by 20 Hz,with each clamping force increased by 200 N.Both high-and low-frequency displacement in roughing milling or finishing milling are acceptable relative to the accuracy demand of blade machining.This fixture and an adaptive CNC machining process can achieve high accuracy in blade manufacturing.Dongbo WU Hui WANG Jinsong PENG Kaiyao ZHANG Jie YU Xuesong ZHENG Yunhai CHEN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,4:6
6Post-failure behavior of tunnel heading collapse by MPM simulation显示文摘Tunnel collapse presents a serious threat to the safety of urban construction. The traditional approach adopted to assess this risk is to evaluate the factor of safety against failure. However, this analysis only determines on whether the tunnel will collapse or not, and does not provide information on the magnitude of the post-failure behavior(for example, catastrophic or progressive) if the tunnel collapse occurs. In this study, a meshless method based on the material point method(MPM) was used to investigate the post-failure behavior of tunnel heading collapse in two-dimensional plane-strain conditions. The capability and accuracy of MPM were verified by comparing the elicited results to centrifuge test data and to analytical solutions obtained from limit state methods. MPM simulations were conducted at different soil conditions(clay or sand) and profiles(homogenous or linear increasing strength) as well as at different tunnel geometries(i.e. tunnel depth and unlined length). 7A Fairness Resource Allocation Algorithm for Coverage and Capacity Optimization in Wireless Self-Organized Network显示文摘To achieve the higher resource efficiency, Coverage and Capacity Optimization(CCO) as an important role of the network self-healing and self-optimization, has become a focus topic in wireless Self-Organized Network(SON). In this paper, a novel CCO scheme is proposed to maximize utility function of the integrated coverage and capacity. It starts with the analysis on the throughput proportional fairness(PF) algorithm and then proposes the novel Coverage and Capacity Proportional Fairness(CCPF) allocation algorithm along with a proof of the algorithms convergence. This proposed algorithm is applied in a coverage capacity optimization scheme which can guarantee the reasonable network capacity by the coverage range accommodation. Next, we simulate the proposed CCO scheme based on telecom operators' real network data and compare with three typical resource allocation algorithms: round robin(RR), proportional fairness(PF) and max C/I. 83D Printed Integrated Gradient-Conductive MXene/CNT/Polyimide Aerogel Frames for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding with Ultra-Low Reflection显示文摘Construction of advanced electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding materials with miniaturized,programmable structure and low reflection are promising but challenging.Herein,an integrated transition-metal carbides/carbon nanotube/polyimide(gradient-conductive MXene/CNT/PI,GCMCP)aerogel frame with hierarchical porous structure and gradient-conductivity has been constructed to achieve EMI shielding with ultra-low reflection.The gradient-conductive structures are obtained by continuous 3D printing of MXene/CNT/poly(amic acid)inks with different CNT contents,where the slightly conductive top layer serves as EM absorption layer and the highly conductive bottom layer as reflection layer.In addition,the hierarchical porous structure could extend the EM dissipation path and dissipate EM by multiple reflections.Consequently,the GCMCP aerogel frames exhibit an excellent average EMI shielding efficiency(68.2 dB)and low reflection(R=0.23).Furthermore,the GCMCP aerogel frames with miniaturized and programmable structures can be used as EMI shielding gaskets and effectively block wireless power transmission,which shows a prosperous application prospect in defense industry and aerospace.Tiantian Xue Yi Yang Dingyi Yu Qamar Wali Zhenyu Wang Xuesong Cao Wei Fan Tianxi Liu 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,3:5
9Constraint-induced movement therapy promotes brain functional reorganization in stroke patients with hemiplegia显示文摘Stroke patients with hemiplegia exhibit flexor spasms in the upper limb and extensor spasms in the lower limb, and their movement patterns vary greatly. Constraint-induced movement therapy is an upper limb rehabilitation technique used in stroke patients with hemiplegia; however, studies of lower extremity rehabilitation are scarce. In this study, stroke patients with lower limb hemiplegia underwent conventional Bobath therapy for 4 weeks as baseline treatment, followed by constraint-induced movement therapy for an additional 4 weeks. The 10-m maximum walking speed and Berg balance scale scores significantly improved following treatment, and lower extremity motor function also improved. The results of functional MRI showed that constraint-induced movement therapy alleviates the reduction in cerebral functional activation in patients, which indicates activation of functional brain regions and a significant increase in cerebral blood perfusion. 10Highway constructions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau:Challenge,research and practice显示文摘Highway constructions on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP)face great challenges induced by the unique local environmental,geological,and engineering conditions.The large area of permafrost,great temperature variability,strong UV rays,and complex geological conditions are the major factors that adversely influence the longterm performance of pavement systems.Since 1960s,Chinese engineers and researchers have started conducting research on the QTP to enhance the performance and durability of pavement systems.The present paper provide a comprehensive review of challenge,research and practice of highway constructions on the QTP including the special environmental and geological conditions,history of highway constructions on the QTP,major challenges and the state-of-the-art technology of subgrade constructions on permafrost,developments of the pavement structures and materials,performance prediction and maintenance methods of pavement surfaces,and applications of the research achievements on the first expressway on the QTP(i.e.,Gongyu Expressway).Based on the comprehensive literature review,it can be found that(1)frost heave and thaw weakening induced subgrade disease and longitudinal cracks on the pavement surface are complex coupled water-thermal-load problems.Engineering solutions are focusing on active cooling and thermal insulation methods,which can help to reduce temperature variations in the subgrade and thus improving its stability,(2)the harsh environmental and construction conditions may reduce the early strength and induce premature damage of cement-treated base materials.Some field validations showed that geocell-reinforced or asphalt-treated flexible base materials can provide better long-term performance,(3)the large temperature variability and strong UV rays can significantly accelerate aging of asphalt binders and greatly reduce the service life of asphalt mixtures.Various binder modification methods were developed for improving their viscoelasticity and enhance the low-temperature cracking resistance of pavement surface materials but are still lack of field validation data and comparisons of their life cycle costs.Therefore,it is recommended that a demonstration research project build test sections to examine a range of pavement structures and materials,and compare their long-term performance and life cycle costs,which can serve as important reference for future highway constructions on the QTP.Aimin Sha Biao Ma Hainian Wang Liqun Hu Xuesong Mao Xilan Zhi Huaxin Chen Yu Liu Feng Ma Zhuangzhuang Liu Rui He Wei Si Xuhao Wang Cheng Li 2022Journal of Road Engineering2022,2,1:4
11Formation condition of deep gas reservoirs in tight sandstones in Kuqa Foreland Basin显示文摘Due to the high expense of deep oil and gas exploration,prediction of gas-bearing properties before drilling is crucial for deep gas reservoir of tight sandstone.Deep tight sandstone gas fields in Kuqa Foreland Basin are characterized by high abundance,high gas saturation,high pressure,high and stable yield,which belong to high-efficiency tight gas reservoir.Based on theoretical analysis of controlling factors and mechanisms of gas-bearing properties for tight sandstone gas reservoir,and taking tight sandstone gas fields with high effectiveness such as Dibei,Keshen and Dibei gas fields in Kuqa Foreland Basin as examples,formation condition and mechanism of high-efficiency tight sandstone gas reservoir in Kuqa area are studied through a comparative analysis of typical tight sandstone gas reservoir in Sichuan Basin and Ordos Basin.The results show that the formation condition of deep gas reservoir of tight sandstone in Kuqa foreland basin includes four factors:i.e.,overpressure gas charging,fracture development,“early-oil and late-gas”accumulation process and favorable preservation condition.The overpressure gas charging and fracture development are the most important factors for formation of high-efficiency tight gas reservoirs in Kuqa Foreland Basin.High-quality source rocks,high sourcereservoir pressure difference,and overpressure filling induced thereby are preconditions for formation of tight sandstone with high gas saturation.The fracture development controls gas migration,accumulation,and high yield of tight sandstone gas reservoir.The reservoir wettability changed by the early oil charging is beneficial to late natural gas charging,and the preservation condition of high-quality gypsum cap rocks is the key factor for gas reservoirs to maintain overpressure and high gas saturation.Matching of above four favorable factors leads to the tight sandstone gas reservoir with high abundance,high gas saturation and high gas production in Kuqa Foreland Basin,which is very different from other basins.Under the condition of little difference in physical property of tight sandstone reservoir,excessive source-reservoir pressure difference,facture development,preservation condition and current formation overpressure are the most significant factors to be considered in exploration and evaluation of deep tight sandstone gas.Xuesong Lu Mengjun Zhao Keyu Liu Qingong Zhuo Junjia Fan Zhichao Yu Yanjie Gong 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,4:4

14Cell outage compensation based on Co MP and optimization of tilt显示文摘Cell outage compensation(COC) is a self-healing function of the self-organizing networks(SONs) concept for mobile wireless networks. In order to compensate the outage cell autonomously, this paper drives a solution for COC. This method is based on coordinated multiple points(Co MP) transmission and tilt adjusting. Firstly, the paper takes the coordinated pattern and tilt as the optimization objects. Then, it defines the rational objectives and the evaluation function of the situation and analysis the optimization model. Finally, based on the effective genetic algorithm(GA), the compensation mechanism is proposed. 15Joint Feature Representation and Classifier Learning Based Unsupervised Domain Adaption ELM显示文摘In the problem of unsupervised domain adaption Extreme learning machine(ELM), the output layer parameters need to have both classification and domain adaptation functions, which often cannot be simultaneously fully utilized. In addition, traditional matching method based on data probability distribution cannot find the common subspace of source and target domains under large difference between domains. In order to alleviate the pressure of double functions of classifier parameters, the entire ELM learning process is mainly divided into two stages: feature representation and adaptive classifier learning, thus a joint feature representation and classifier learning based unsupervised domain adaption ELM model is proposed. In the feature representation stage, the source and target domain data are projected to their respective subspace while minimizing the difference in probability distribution between the two domains. 17Al 1060/Pure Iron Clad Materials by Vacuum Roll Bonding and Their Solderability显示文摘Al 1060/pure iron clad materials were produced by vacuum roll bonding.The effects of preheating temperature,vacuum roll reduction and initial thickness of the Al 1060 sheet on the metal interface and bonding strength were investigated.The interfacial microstructure was investigated and the mechanical properties of the joint were evaluated by shear testing.The bonding strength of the clad materials was generally enhanced by increasing the total reduction or preheating temperature,which caused the metal interface to flatten.No obvious reaction or diffusion layer was observed at the interface between Al 1060 and pure iron.The bonding strength increased with decreasing the initial thickness of the Al 1060 sheets.The Al 1060/pure iron clad materials were soldered with ZneAl alloy by using an ultrasonic-assisted method.Strong bonding of the Al1060 layer and Al 7N01 was realized without obvious Al 1060 dissolution or effect on the initial interface of Al 1060/pure iron clad materials by soldering at relatively low temperature.Qian Wang Xuesong Leng Jiuchun Yan Weibing Guo Yu Fu Tianming Luan 2013Journal of Materials Science & Technology2013,29,10:2

19Identification and expression of amphioxus AmphiSmad1/5/8 and AmphiSmad4显示文摘Smad family proteins are identified as intracellular signal mediators of the TGF-β superfamily.In this study,we identified two novel members of the Smad family,termed as AmphiSmad1/5/8 and AmphiSmad4,from Chinese amphioxus.Both AmphiSmad1/5/8 and AmphiSmad4 showed a typical domain structure of Smad proteins consisting of conserved MH1 and MH2 domains.Phylogenetic analysis placed AmphiSmad1/5/8 in the Smad1,5 and 8 subgroup of the R-Smad subfamily,and AmphiSmad4 in the Co-Smad subfamily.The spatial and temporal gene expression patterns of AmphiSmad1/5/8 and AmphiSmad4 showed that they may be involved in the embryonic development of notochord,myotome and alimentary canal,and may help to establish the specification of dorsal-ventral axis of amphioxus.Moreover,AmphiSmad1/5/8 and AmphiSmad4 showed extensive distribution in all adult tissues examined,suggesting that these two genes may play important roles in the morphogenesis of a variety of tissues especially notochord and gonad.YU XueSong LI JianWei LIU Hui LI XiaoDan CHEN ShangWu ZHANG HongWei XU AnLong 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,3:1
