2Characteristics of rare-earth elements (REE),strontium and neodymium isotopes in hydrothermal fluorites from the Bailashui tin deposit in the Furong ore field,southern Hunan Province,China显示文摘In this paper the authors present the REE concentrations and Sr and Nd isotopic compositions of fluorites from the Bailashui tin deposit of the Furong ore field,southern Hunan Province. The results showed that the total amount of REE in fluorites is usually low,ranging from 0.705 to 8.785 μg/g with the chondrite-normalized REE dis-tribution patterns similar to those of the Qitianling granites in the study area,characterized by LREE-enrichment patterns with pronounced negative Eu anomalies. The fluorites vary in Sr isotopic composition within the range of 0.7083-0.7091,the values are lower than those of the granites and higher than those of the host carbonate rocks in this area. The εNd(t) values of fluorites vary between -9.4 and +10.3,revealing that both the crust-and mantle-source materials were involved in the ore-forming hydrothermal fluids. Combined with previous studies on this ore deposit,the Bailashui tin deposit is temporally and spatially closely related with granitic magmatism in this area. The hydro-thermal fluorites are the product of fluid/rock interactions between granitic magmatic hydrothermal fluid and marine carbonate rocks. The REE and F in the ore-forming fluid were derived from the granites,whereas Sr in the ore-forming fluid came mainly from the granitic magmatic hydrothermal fluid and marine carbonate rocks,although variations in Sr isotopic composition cannot be explained by a simple mixture of these two end-members. 3Late Mesozoic Ore-forming Events in the Ningwu Ore District, Middle-Lower Yangtze River Polymetallic Ore Belt, East China: Evidence from Zircon U-Pb Geochronology and Hf Isotopic Compositions of the Granodioritic Stocks显示文摘Late Mesozoic volcanic-subvolcanic rocks and related iron deposits, known as porphyry iron deposits in China, are widespread in the Ningwu ore district (Cretaceous basin) of the middle-lower Yangtze River polymetallic ore belt, East China. Two types of Late Mesozoic magmatic rocks are exposed: one is dioritic rocks closely related to iron mineralization as the hosted rock, and the other one is granodioritic (-granitic) rocks that cut the ore bodies. To understand the age of the iron mineralization and the ore-forming event, detailed zircon U-Pb dating and Hf isotope measurement were performed on granodioritic stocks in the Washan, Gaocun-Nanshan, Dongshan and Heshangqiao iron deposits in the basin. Four emplacement and crystallization (typically for zircons) ages of granodioritic rocks were measured as 126.1±0.5 Ma, 126.8±0.5 Ma, 127.3±0.5 Ma and 126.3±0.4 Ma, respectively in these four deposits, with the LA-MC-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb method. Based on the above results combined with previous dating, it is inferred that the iron deposits in the Ningwu Cretaceous basin occurred in a very short period of 131-127 Ma. In situ zircon Hf compositions of εHf(t) of the granodiorite are mainly from -3 to -8 and their corresponding 176Hf/177Hf ratio are from 0.28245 to 0.28265, indicating similar characteristics of dioritic rocks in the basin. We infer that granodioritic rocks occurring in the Ningwu ore district have an original relationship with dioritic rocks. 4Geochronology,Geochemistry and Petrogenesis of Diabase Dyke Swarms in East Tianshan,Xinjiang,NW China显示文摘Diabase dyke swarms are widespread in the East Tianshan and Beishan regions. LA-ICP-MS zircon U-Pb ages of these diabase vary from 305 Ma to 278 Ma, showing that these dykes were formed during Late Carboniferous-Early Permian magmatism. All diabase samples are subalkali calc-alkali, characterized by slight LREE and LILEs enrichment, and weak negative Ti, Nb and Ta anomalies. The diabase samples have positive εNd(t) values (>+3), high Sr isotopic compositions (initial 87Sr/86Sr values=0.7030-0.7097), and large variation of Pb isotopic compositions, indicating they were derived from a deplete mantle source. Regional geology and geochemistry evidences indicate that these diabase dyke swarms were generated in a lithosphere extensional setting and had the same magma sources. 10First-principles Study on Equilibrium Sn Isotope Fractionations in Hydrothermal Fluids显示文摘Tin(Sn)isotope geochemistry has great potential in tracing geological processes.However,lack of equilibrium Sn isotope fractionation factors of various Sn species limits the development of Sn isotope geochemistry.Equilibrium Sn isotope fractionation factors(124Sn/116Sn and 122Sn/116Sn)among various Sn(II,IV)complexes in aqueous solution were calculated using first-principles calculations.The results show that the oxidation states and the change of Sn(II,IV)species in hydrothermal fluids are the main factors leading to tin isotope fractionation in hydrothermal systems.For the Sn(IV)complexes,Sn isotope fractionation factors depend on the number of H2O molecules.For the Sn(II)complexes,the Sn isotope fractionation between Sn(II)−F,Sn(II)−Cl and Sn(II)−OH complexes is mainly affected by the bond length and the coordination number of anion,whereas the difference in 1000lnβvalues of Sn(II)−SO4 and Sn(II)−CO_(3) complexes is insignificant with the change of anion coordination number.By comparing the 1000lnβvalues of all Sn(II,IV)complexes,the enrichment trend in heavy Sn isotopes is Sn(IV)complexes>Sn(II)complexes.The equilibrium Sn isotopic fractionation factors enhance our understanding of the tin transportation and enrichment processes in hydrothermal systems.SUN Mingguang Ryan MATHUR CHEN Yanjing YUAN Shunda WANG Jiaxin 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,6:0

12Fluid Inclusion Studies of Ore and Gangue Minerals from the Piaotang Tungsten Deposit, Southern Jiangxi Province, China显示文摘The Piaotang deposit is one of the largest vein-type W-polymetallic deposits in southern Jiangxi Province,South China.The coexistence of wolframite and cassiterite is an important feature of the deposit.Based on detailed petrographic observations,microthermometry of fluid inclusions in wolframite,cassiterite and intergrown quartz was undertaken.The inclusions in wolframite were observed by infrared microscope,while those in cassiterite and quartz were observed in visible light.The fluid inclusions in wolframite can be divided into two types:aqueous inclusions with a large vapor-phase proportion and aqueous inclusions with a small vapor-phase ratio.The homogenization temperature(Th)of inclusions in wolframite with large vapor-phase ratios ranged from 280℃ to 390℃,with salinity ranging from 3.1 to 7.2 wt%NaCl eq.In contrast,the Th values of inclusions with small vapor-phase ratios ranged from 216℃ to 264℃,with salinity values ranging from 3.5 to 9.3 wt%NaCl eq.T_(h) values of primary inclusions in cassiterite ranged from 316℃ to 380℃,with salinity ranging from 5.4 to 9.3 wt%NaCl eq.T_(h) values for primary fluid inclusions in quartz ranged from 162℃ to 309℃,with salinity values ranging from 1.2 to 6.7 wt%NaCl eq.The results show that the formation conditions of wolframite,cassiterite and intergrown quartz are not uniform.The evolutionary processes of fluids related to these three kinds of minerals are also significantly different.Intergrown quartz cannot provide the depositional conditions of wolframite and cassiterite.The fluids related to tungsten mineralization for the NaCl-H_(2)O system had a medium-to-high temperature and low salinity,while the fluids related to tin mineralization for the NaCl-H_(2)O system had a high temperature and medium-to-low salinity.The results of this study suggest that fluid cooling is the main mechanism for the precipitation of tungsten and tin.WANG Xudong NI Pei YUAN Shunda LIU Jiqiang LI Mingyong LIU Hongxin 2022Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2022,96,5:0
