1Stress Responses to Rapid Temperature Changes of the Juvenile Sea Cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus Selenka)显示文摘Activities of hexokinase(HK),pyruvate kinase(PK),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and catalase(CAT) and Hsp70 level were measured to evaluate the response of the commercially important sea cucumber(Apostichopus japonicus Selenka) to rapid temperature changes in laboratory. Animals were subjected to a higher temperature(from 10 to 20℃)(Tinc treatment) or to a lower temperature(from 20 to 10℃)(Tdec treatment) for 72 h. At 1,3,12,24,72 h of exposure,animals were removed and prepared for further analysis. Results showed that the effect of acute temperature changes on enzyme activities was significant. In Tinc treatment,activities of SOD and CAT increased immediately. The significant enhancement of SOD and CAT activities suggested that oxidative stress increases significantly when ambient temperature increasing from 10 to 20℃. 2Optimization of Stocking Density for the Sea Cucumber, Apostichopus japonicus Selenka, Under Feed-Supplement and Non-Feed-Supplement Regimes in Pond Culture显示文摘Optimal stocking densities were investigated for the sea cucumber Apostichopus japonicus Selenka under feed-supplement and non-feed-supplement regimes in net enclosures for 333 d. Substantial weight loss occurred during the aestivation phase (AE). Decreased growth rates were also observed during the winter phase (WT). In contrast, sea cucumbers showed rapid growth during the spring (SP) and autumn (AU) phases. Feeding regimes considerably influenced the growth performance, i.e., sea cucumbers grew faster under feed-supplement regime than under non-feed-supplement regime (P < 0.05). The average survival rates of sea cucumbers under feed-supplement regime were higher than those under non-feed-supplement regime for both the autumn phase and spring phase, but the differences were only significant for the latter phase (P < 0.05). 3Behavior modeling and verification of movement authority scenario of Chinese Train Control System using AADL显示文摘Train control systems like most digital controllers are, by definition, hybrid systems as they interact with or try to control some aspects of the physical world. Detailed behavior modeling with constraints specification and formal verification, required for reliability prediction, is a great challenge for hybrid system designers.Train control systems further intensify this challenge with extensive interaction between computing units and their physical environment and their mutual dependence on each other. In this paper, we investigate behavior modeling and formal verification of Chinese Train Control System Level 3(CTCS-3) using Architectural Analysis & Design Language(AADL) to cope with this challenge. AADL is an architecture description language for embedded systems and is based on model-based engineering paradigm. Along with structural modeling of embedded systems using the core language constructs, AADL also provides support for language extension through annex sublanguages. In system requirements specification document, the behavior of the CTCS-3 is specified as a set of basic operation scenarios that cooperate with each other to achieve safe and secure functionality of trains.Movement Authority(MA) scenario, explored in this paper, is considered as a basic and most crucial scenario to prevent trains from colliding with each other. The detailed discrete behavior of control system is modeled and verified using the Behavior Language for Embedded Systems with Software(BLESS) annex sublanguage of AADL, and the continuous behavior of train with the cyber–physical interaction(communication between train and control system) is modeled using the Hybrid annex sublanguage. The behavior of the MA scenario at system level is verified using the Hybrid Hoare Logic theorem prover. 4Quantitative effects of phase transition on solute partition coefficient,inclusion precipitation, and microsegregation for high-sulfur steel solidification显示文摘Segregation and inclusion precipitation are the common behaviours of steel solidification, which are resulted from the redistribution and diffusion of the solute elements at the solid-liquid interface. The effect of the phase transition of high-sulfur free-cutting steel is quantified in the present work for the solute partition coefficient(ki), inclusion precipitation, and microsegregation by establishing a coupling model of microsegregation and inclusion precipitation, wherein the quantified dependencies of ki in terms of temperature, phase and carbon(C) content were applied. Results showed that the solidification temperature range and phase transition of high-sulfur steel that under different solidification paths and C contents were quite different, leading to differences in ki and eventually in microsegregation. kC,kP, and kS were mainly affected by phase composition and kSi was primarily by temperature, while kMn depended on both phase composition and temperature during solidification. Increasing the C content within the interval 0.07-0.48 wt%, the ‘proportion of the δ phase maintained temperature region during solidification’(Pδ), kave Pand kave S(kiave, the average value of the ki across the whole stages of solidification)decreased monotonically, whereas kave Cincreased linearly. The peritectic reaction impacted on the phase composition and ki, leading to the change in microsegregation. Such effect of the peritectic reaction was more significant at the last stage of solidification. When the Pδ was between 75% and 100%(corresponding to 0.07-0.16 wt% C), the solidification path resulted in a greater effect on the microsegregation of solutes C, P, and S because of the peritectic reaction. The microsegregation of solutes Mn and S were comprehensively influenced by kMn, kS and Mn S precipitation as well. 10The blue light receptor CRY1 interacts with GID1 and DELLA proteins to repress gibberellin signaling and plant growth显示文摘Improvements in plant architecture,such as reduced plant height under high-density planting,are important for agricultural production.Light and gibberellin(GA)are essential external and internal cues that affect plant architecture.In this study,we characterize the direct interaction of distinct receptors that link light and GA signaling in Arabidopsis(Arabidopsis thaliana)and wheat(Triticum aestivum L.).We show that the light receptor CRY1 represses GA signaling through interaction with all five DELLA proteins and promotion of RGA protein accumulation in Arabidopsis.Genetic analysis shows that CRY1-mediated growth repression is achieved by means of the DELLA proteins.Interestingly,we find that CRY1 also directly interacts with the GA receptor GID1 to competitively inhibit the GID1-GAI interaction.We also show that overexpression of TaCRY1a reduces plant height and coleoptile growth in wheat and that TaCRY1a interacts with both TaGID1 and Rht1 to competitively attenuate the TaGID1-Rht1 interaction.Based on these findings,we propose that the photoreceptor CRY1 competitively inhibits the GID1-DELLA interaction,thereby stabilizing DELLA proteins and enhancing their repression of plant growth.Baiqiang Yan Zongju Yang Guanhua He Yexing Jing Huixue Dong Lan Ju Yunwei Zhang Yingfang Zhu Yun Zhou Jiaqiang Sun 2021Plant Communications2021,2,6:1

13Effects of V addition on the mechanical properties at elevated temperatures in a γ”-strengthened NiCoCr-based multi-component alloy显示文摘Ni Co Cr-based multi-component alloys have drawn much attention due to their exceptional ductility and strain hardening capacity.However,insufficient strength-ductility synergy of NiCoCr alloy has always been an issue that prevents it from extensive applications.According to our previous research,the precipitation ofγ”phase can significantly improve the strength-ductility synergy of this alloy system at room temperature.In this study,the effects of V addition onγ”phase stability and high-temperature mechanical properties have been explicitly investigated.The results indicate that V addition can stabilize the metastableγ”phase in this alloy system and prevent it from transforming into a stableδphase at grain boundaries upon 650℃aging,resulting in improved mechanical properties at elevated temperatures.The specific strength ofγ”-strengthened multi-component NiCoCr-based alloy can reach up to 86.2 MPa gcmat 650℃,which is higher than those of Ni-based superalloys,IN 939 and Waspaloy.This work provides theoretical guidance for the novel design of γ”-strengthened alloy for high-temperature applications.Yunwei Pan Anping Dong Yang Zhou Dafan Du Donghong Wang Guoliang Zhu Baode Sun 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,12:0
14Petrogenesis of the Chaihulanzi Gneiss and its Tectonic Implications for the North China Craton显示文摘The Chaihulanzi area in eastern Inner Mongolia is tectonically situated on the northern margin of the North China Craton(NCC). The main Precambrian lithologies of the area have been referred to the Archean Jianping Group metasupracrustal sequences. Based on field observations, petrographic, whole-rock geochemical, and zircon U-Pb geochronological results, a magmatic origin for the units is proposed. Our results show that the Chaihulanzi gneisses are mainly of granitic, dioritic and granodioritic compositions, and show typical magmatic rock textures and mineral assemblages. The dioritic and granodioritic gneisses show Na-rich tonalite–trondhjemite–granodiorite(TTG)-like affinity with zircon U-Pb dates of ca. 2.57–2.59 Ga, representing a juvenile continental growth for the northeastern NCC. The granitic gneiss is indeed potassic granite and yielded a zircon U-Pb date of ~2.50 Ga, which is contemporaneous with the Jining–Jiaoliao microblock collision(2.53–2.49 Ga), implying another crustal growth event. The well-developed gneissosity in 2.57–2.59 Ga dioritic and granodioritic gneisses together with the 2.5 Ga potassic granite, which crosscuts the gneissosity implies a 2.57–2.50 Ga(mainly 2.53–2.51 Ga) collisional orogeny, probably related to the Jining–Jiaoliao microblock collision. 15METARO^(3):Metamorphic Relation Group for Automatic Program Repair显示文摘The application of metamorphic testing(MT)on automatic program repair(APR-MT)is used to generate a patch without test oracles by examining whether the input metamorphic relation(MR)is satisfied or not.However,the delivered patch is plausible since it may satisfy the input MR but violate other MRs.This inspires us to propose an improved approach to enhance the effectiveness of APR-MT with metamorphic relation group.Ourapproach involves three major steps.First,we formally define the repair process of APR-MT by building the model of automatic program repair and metamorphic testing separately.Then,we propose the advanced model of automatic program repair based on metamorphic relation group,named METARO^(3),which takes several MRs as input while only one MR is used in APR-MT.We additionally present two kinds of selection strategies to rank MRs in descending order of the fault detection capability,which helps shorten the repair time of finding a patch.To demonstrate the feasibility and procedure of our approach,an illustration example was conducted.The results show that METARO^(3) can improve the effectiveness of APR-MT significantly.Tingting Wu Yunwei Dong 2019Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2019,,12:0
16Effects of balancing selection and microhabitat temperature variations on heat tolerance of the intertidal black mussel Septifer virgatus显示文摘Realistic assessments of the impacts of global warming on population extinction risk are likely to require an integrated analysis of the roles of standing genetic variation,microhabitat thermal complexity,and the inter-individual variation of heat tolerance due to both genetic differences and seasonal acclimatization effects.Here,we examine whether balancing selection and microhabitat temperature heterogeneity can interact to enhance the population persistence to thermal stress for the black mussel Septifer virgatus.We deployed biomimetic data loggers on the shore to measure the microhabitat-specific thermal variation from June 2014 to April 2016.Thermal tolerance of specimens was indexed by measuring effects of temperature on heart rate.Genotyping of specimens was performed using double digestion restriction association RADSeq(ddRADseq).Our results show that inter-individual variations in thermal tolerance correlate significantly with genetic differences at some specific gene loci,and that heterozygotes have higher thermal tolerances than homozygotes.The observed seasonal changes in genotype frequency suggest that these loci are under balancing selection.The ability of thermally resistant heterozygotes to survive in sun-exposed microhabitats acts to balance the loss of homozygotes during summer and enable the persistence of genetic polymorphisms.Population persistence of the mussel is also facilitated by the micro-scale variation in temperature,which provides refugia from thermal stress.Our results emphasize that inter-individual variation in thermal tolerance and in microhabitat heterogeneity in temperature are important for the persistence of populations in rocky shore habitats.Guodong HAN Wei WANG Yunwei DONG 2020Integrative Zoology2020,15,5:0
17Anaerobic metabolism and thermal tolerance:The importance of opine pathways on survival of a gastropod after cardiac dysfunction显示文摘Organisms on rocky shores are frequently exposed to high temperatures,which cause impairment of cardiac function and retard cellular oxygen delivery.However,some gastropods can survive at several degrees Celsius higher than their Arrhenius break temperature of cardiac function(ABT),indicating the importance of anaerobic metabolism for their thermal tolerance.We measured the global molecular responses to heat stress in limpet Cellana toreuma using 454 GS-FLX to investigate the variations of genes involved in anaerobic metabolism at high temperatures.Next,the gene expression levels of 4 anaerobic enzymes and activity of alanopine dehydrogenase(AlDH),which is involved in opine pathway,were measured in response to elevated temperature.A total of 19 heat shock proteins(HSPs)were determined using real-time PCR at different temperatures.At high temperatures,the extensive upregulation of HSP genes was an effective but energetically expensive form of protection to prevent thermal damage.The upregulation of hypoxia-inducible factor 1 alpha mRNA indicated the condition of cellular hypoxia and the high gene expression and enzyme activity of AlDH suggested that opine pathway was the main anaerobic pathway.These results implied that anaerobic metabolism was enhanced to provide energy in the face of thermal stress.Our findings highlight the ecological significance of the anaerobic metabolism of gastropods to thermal adaptation.For predicting the ecological impact of global warming on the distribution of gastropods,the role of anaerobic pathways should be evaluated.Guodong HAN Shu ZHANG Yunwei DONG 2017Integrative Zoology2017,12,5:0

19Effects of Different Propagation Materials and Cultivation Years on the Yield of Polygonatum odoratum under the Forest显示文摘This paper mainly studies the effects of different propagation materials and cultivation years on the yield of Polygonatum odoratum under the forest.In this study,the cultivation experiment of P.odoratum was carried out by using the stem tip,stem body and seeds of P.odoratum as propagation materials.The yield of P.odoratum in different cultivation years with propagation by rhizome was also investigated.That is,the continuous growth of P.odoratum and the yield of P.odoratum each year after cultivation was statistically analyzed.The results showed that the germination rate under stem tip cultivation was fast,and the emergence time was also fast,which was more than 2 weeks earlier than that under stem body cultivation,and the seedling emergence rate reached 100%.The stem body was a new plant formed by sprouting from the buds of internodes,and the emergence rate was more than 95%.P.odoratum propagated by rhizome was harvested in the third or fourth year after cultivation,and the third year was the best harvest time.Yunwei LIU Hongxue WANG Shang DONG 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,8:0
20Temperature relations of aerial and aquatic physiological performance in a mid-intertidal limpet Cellana toreuma: Adaptation to rapid changes in thermal stress during emersion显示文摘The physiological performance of a mid-intertidal limpet Cellana toreuma was determined to study the physiological adaptation of intertidal animals to rapid changes and extreme temperatures during emersion.The relationship between the Arrhenius breakpoint temperature(ABT)and in situ operative body temperature was studied to predict the possible impact of climate change on the species.The temperature coefficient(Q10)of emersed animals was higher than that of submersed animals and the ratio of aerial:aquatic heart rate rose with increasing temperature.The ABTs of submersed and emersed animals were 30.2 and 34.2°C,respectively.The heart rate and levels of molecular biomarkers(hsps,ampkα,ampkβand sirt1 mRNA)were determined in 48 h simulated semi-diurnal tides.There were no obvious changes of heart rate and gene expression during the transition between emersion and submersion at room temperature,although expressions of hsp70 and hsp90 were induced significantly after thermal stress.These results indicate that C.toreuma can effectively utilize atmospheric oxygen,and the higher Q10 and ABT of emersed animals are adaptations to the rapid change and extreme thermal stress during emersion.However,the in situ operative body temperature frequently exceeds the aerial ABT of C.toreuma,indicating the occurrence of large-scale mortality of C.toreuma in summer,and this species should be sensitive to increasing temperature in the scenario of climate change.Xiongwei HUANG Tifeng WANG Ziwen YE Guodong HAN Yunwei DONG 2015Integrative Zoology2015,10,1:0
