1First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 3Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 4Innovative endoscopic enucleations of the prostate--Xie’s Prostate Enucleations显示文摘In the past 2 decades,endoscopic enucleation of the prostate has become a safe and effective surgical treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH),with comparable outcomes to traditional surgeries.Transurethral vapor enucleation and resection of the prostate(TVERP),transurethral vapor enucleation of the prostate(TVEP),and ultrasound-navigated TVEP(US-TVEP)are new,innovative endoscopic enucleation procedures.These procedures are named Xie’s Prostate Enucleations(Xie’s Procedures for short).Current clinical data indicate that Xie’s Procedures are safe and effective treatment options for patients with BPH,especially for patients with larger prostates.Further prospective,randomized clinical trials compared with traditional transurethral resection of prostate(TURP)are still needed.Liping Xie Xiao Wang Hong Chen Xiangyi Zheng Ben Liu Shiqi Li Yeqing Mao Qiqi Mao Song Wang Jiangfeng Li Tillmann Loch 2018Asian Journal of Urology2018,5,1:6
5Urban flood inundation and damage assessment based on numerical simulations of design rainstorms with different characteristics显示文摘In the context of global climate change and urbanization,urban flooding is an important type of natural disaster that affects urban development,especially in China,which is experiencing rapid urbanization.In the past 10 years,urban flooding events have caused huge disaster losses in Chinese cities.This has resulted in significant negative effects on the urban infrastructure,socioeconomic systems,and urban residents,thus causing widespread concern.Studies have confirmed the change in extreme rainstorms is due to the changing environments in many cities globally.Conducting studies on the impact of these rainstorms with different characteristics for urban flooding is valuable for coping with unfavorable situations.In addition,numerical simulations provide an economical and viable means to perform these studies.This paper presents a numerical model of Xiamen Island in China.Simulations were conducted for 12 design rainstorm events with different return periods,rain patterns,and durations.The results indicate that,in the case of an equal rainfall amount,the rainfall intensity is the key factor that affects the inundated area,depth,and damages.However,the rainfall intensity is not the only determining factor;the rainfall pattern also affects the inundations.In regard to the rainfall pattern,a higher rainfall peak coefficient usually leads to severe urban inundation and damage.As a result,the lag time would be shorter,which may further exacerbate the impact of urban flood disasters.The results of this study provide insights into managing flood risks,developing urban flood prevention strategies,and designing flood prevention measures.MEI Chao LIU JiaHong WANG Hao LI ZeJin YANG ZhiYong SHAO WeiWei DING XiangYi WENG BaiSha YU YingDong YAN DianYi 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:5

9Fracture identification and evaluation using conventional logs in tight sandstones:A case study in the Ordos Basin,China显示文摘Fractures are of great significance to tight oil and gas development.Fracture identification using conventional well logs is a feasible way to locate the underground fractures in tight sandstones.However,there are three problems affecting its interpretation accuracy and practical application,namely weak well log responses of fractures,a lack of specific logs for fracture prediction,and relative change omission in log responses.To overcome these problems and improve fracture identification accuracy,a fracture indicating parameter(FIP)method composed of a comprehensive index method(CIM)and a comprehensive fractal method(CFM)is introduced.The CIM tries to handle the first problem by amplifying log responses of fractures.The CFM addresses the third one using fractal dimensions.The flexible weight parameters corresponding to logs in the CIM and CFM make the interpretation possible for wells lacking specific logs.The reconstructed logs in the CIM and CFM try to solve the second problem.It is noted that the FIP method can calculate the probability of fracture development at a certain depth,but cannot show the fracture development degree of a new well compared with other wells.In this study,a formation fracture intensity(FFI)method is also introduced to further evaluate fracture development combined with production data.To test the validity of the FIP and FFI methods,fracture identification experiments are implemented in a tight reservoir in the Ordos Basin.The results are consistent with the data of rock core observation and production,indicating the proposed methods are effective for fracture identification and evaluation.Shaoqun Dong Lianbo Zeng Wenya Lyu Dongling Xia Guoping Liu Yue Wu Xiangyi Du 2020Energy Geoscience2020,1,3:2
10CDK6 inhibits lymphoid cell infiltration and represents a prognostic marker in HPV+ squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck显示文摘Objective:We investigated the correlations between cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6(CDK4/6)levels and human papillomavirus(HPV)infection state in head and neck squamous cell cancer(HNSCC).The aim was to explore the potential value of CDK4/6 inhibitors in the treatment of HNSCC.Methods:Multiomic sequencing data for HNSCC were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),and the mRNA levels and copy number variations(CNVs)of CDK4 and CDK6 were strictly analyzed.Overall survival(OS)curves were produced using the Kaplan-Meier method,and survival differences between groups were assessed by the log-rank test.Next,gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)was applied to interrogate CDK4/6-associated molecular pathways in HPV-positive(HPV+)and HPV-negative(HPV-)HNSCC.Last,lymphoid cell infiltrates in each type of HNSCC were explored,and the correlations between CDK4/6 expression and lymphoid infiltrates were explored by Tumor Immune Estimation Resource(TIMER)analysis.Results:Overexpression of either CDK6 or CDK4 was not a relevant factor for OS in HPV-HNSCC(CDK6:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.885;CDK4:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.267).In HPV+HNSCC,CDK6 but not CDK4 was a relevant factor for OS(CDK6:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.002;CDK4:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.452).GSEA found that overexpressed CDK6 in HPV+HNSCC inhibited pathways involved in the tumor immune response,suggesting its roles in antitumor immunity.TIMER analysis results revealed that CDK6 but not CDK4 accumulation was negatively correlated with the number of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes specific for HPV+HNSCC,which led to tumor response suppression.Conclusions:CDK6,but not CDK4,is a poor prognostic marker specific in HPV+HNSCC patients.Overexpressed CDK6 might stimulate tumor progression by suppressing lymphocytes infiltration independent of its kinase activity.Only abrogating its kinase activity using current CDK4/6 inhibitors was not enough to block its tumor promotion function.Chuanhao Tang Li Lin Wei Zhou Xiang Liu Yali Fu Lingling Zhang Li Li Xiangyi Wang Libo Zhao Jun Liang Libo Zhao Jun Liang 2019Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019,31,6:1

16Effect of nitrogen and phosphorus addition on leaf nutrient concentrations and nutrient resorption efficiency of two dominant alpine grass species显示文摘Nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)are two essential nutrients that determine plant growth and many nutrient cycling processes.Increasing N and P deposition is an important driver of ecosystem changes.However,in contrast to numerous studies about the impacts of nutrient addition on forests and temperate grasslands,how plant foliar stoichiometry and nutrient resorption respond to N and P addition in alpine grasslands is poorly understood.Therefore,we conducted an N and P addition experiment(involving control,N addition,P addition,and N+P addition)in an alpine grassland on Kunlun Mountains(Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,China)in 2016 and 2017 to investigate the changes in leaf nutrient concentrations(i.e.,leaf N,Leaf P,and leaf N:P ratio)and nutrient resorption efficiency of Seriphidium rhodanthum and Stipa capillata,which are dominant species in this grassland.Results showed that N addition has significant effects on soil inorganic N(NO_(3)^(-)-N and NH_(4)^(+)-N)and leaf N of both species in the study periods.Compared with green leaves,leaf nutrient concentrations and nutrient resorption efficiency in senesced leaves of S.rhodanthum was more sensitive to N addition,whereas N addition influenced leaf N and leaf N:P ratio in green and senesced leaves of S.capillata.N addition did not influence N resorption efficiency of the two species.P addition and N+P addition significantly improved leaf P and had a negative effect on P resorption efficiency of the two species in the study period.These influences on plants can be explained by increasing P availability.The present results illustrated that the two species are more sensitive to P addition than N addition,which implies that P is the major limiting factor in the studied alpine grassland ecosystem.In addition,an interactive effect of N+P addition was only discernable with respect to soil availability,but did not affect plants.Therefore,exploring how nutrient characteristics and resorption response to N and P addition in the alpine grassland is important to understand nutrient use strategy of plants in terrestrial ecosystems.LIU Yalan LI Lei LI Xiangyi YUE Zewei LIU Bo 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,10:1

Raipaics hairy roots showed different growth conditions in various liquid medium; salt concentration,nitrogen content,sugar content,rotation speed and room temperature had great influences on the growth of Aconitum coreanum( Levl.) Raipaics hairy roots.[Conclusion]The optimal suspension culture system for Aconitum coreanum( Levl.)
