1Possible mechanism underlying analgesic effect of Tuina in rats may involve piezo mechanosensitive channels within dorsal root ganglia axon显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To demonstrate the analgesic effect of Tuina mainly from mechanically sensitive ion channels in peripheral myelinated nerve fibers.METHODS: A total of 40 healthy and pathogen-free adult male Sprague-Dawley rats were used in the study [weight:(220.0 ± 1.4) g, Shanghai Slac Laboratory Animal Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China; license No. Shanghai ICP 05033115]. The rats were housed in cages with free access to water and food in a temperature-controlled room [(22 ± 1) ℃] and12-h/12-h light-dark cycle. Thirty-two rats were randomly divided into five groups: naive, sham, chronic compression of dorsal root ganglion(CCD), Tuina(7 d) and Tuina(21 d). CCD rat model was established via unilateral DRG compression by'L'liked steel bar. Chinese Tuina treatment was accepted once per day. Behavior monitoring of paw withdrawal threshold(PWT) and paw withdrawal latency(PWL) were tested. The expression of Piezo1 and Piezo2 in myelinated nerve fiber were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and Western-blotting.RESULTS: There was a high expression of Piezo2 and a low expression of Piezo1 in the naive and CCD groups. In contrast, the expression of Piezo2 was down regulated and Piezo1 was increased after a period of Tuina. 2The spatial pattern of grassland aboveground biomass on Xizang Plateau and its climatic controls显示文摘Aims Grassland is the most widely distributed vegetation type on the Xizang Plateau.Accurate remote sensing estimation of the grass-land aboveground biomass(AGB)in this region is influenced by the types of vegetation indexes(VIs)used,the grain size(resolution)of the remote sensing data and the targeted ecosystem features.This study attempts to answer the following questions:(i)Which VI can most accurately reflect the grassland AGB distribution on the Xizang Plateau?(ii)How does the grain size of remote sensing imagery affect AGB reflection?(iii)What is the spatial distribution pattern of the grassland AGB on the plateau and its relationship with the climate?Methods We investigated 90 sample sites and measured site-specific AGBs using the harvest method for three grassland types(alpine meadow,alpine steppe and desert steppe).For each sample site,four VIs,namely,Normalized Difference VI(NDVI),Enhanced VI,Normalized Difference Water Index(NDWI)and Modified Soil-Adjusted VI(MSAVI)were extracted from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)products with grain sizes of 250 m and 1 km.Linear regression models were employed to iden-tify the best estimator of the AGB for the entire grassland and the three individual grassland types.Paired Wilcoxon tests were applied to assess the grain size effect on the AGB estimation.General linear models were used to quantify the relationships between the spatial distribution of the grassland AGB and climatic factors.Important Findings The results showed that the best estimator for the entire grass-land AGB on the Xizang Plateau was MSAVI at a 250 m grain size(MSAVI_(250 m)).For each individual grassland type,the best estimator was MSAVI at a grain size of 250 m for alpine meadow,NDWI at a grain size of 1 km for alpine steppe and NDVI at a grain size of 1 km for desert steppe.The explanation ability of each VI for the grassland AGB did not significantly differ for the two grain sizes.Based on the best fit model(AGB=−10.80+139.13 MSAVI_(250 m)),the spatial pattern of the grassland AGB on the plateau was characterized.The AGB varied from 1 to 136 g m^(−2).Approximately 59%of total spatial variation in the AGB for the entire grassland was explained by the combination of the mean annual precipitation(MAP)and mean annual temperature.The explanatory power of MAP was weaker for each individual grassland type than that for the entire grassland.This study illustrated the high efficiency of the VIs derived from MODIS data in the grassland AGB estimation on the Xizang Plateau due to the vegetation homogeneity within a 1×1 km pixel in this region.Furthermore,MAP is a primary driver on the spatial variation of AGB at a regional scale.Yanbin Jiang Jian Tao Yongqi Huang Juntao Zhu Li Tian Yangjian Zhang 2015Journal of Plant Ecology2015,8,1:6

5Overexpression of N-cadherin is correlated with metastasis and worse survival in colorectal cancer patients显示文摘N-cadherin is related to the progression and metastases of several solid carcinomas.However,it was still unclear whether N-cadherin is overexpressed in colorectal malignant tumors that have stronger malignant tendency.In this study,we used immunohistochemistry to detect the expression patterns of N-cadherin in both the primary tumors and their normal mucosa tissues of 120patients with colorectal cancer.We revealed that N-cadherin was expressed in 78.3%(94/120)of colorectal tumor tissues and in only 9.2%(11/120)of paired distant normal mucosa tissues with a significant difference(P=0.000).The low,moderate,and high expression of N-cadherin protein was 42.5%,30.8%,and 26.7%,respectively.N-cadherin overexpression was associated with advanced TNM stage,lymph nodes metastasis and distant metastasis(P<0.05).Patients with N-cadherin overexpressed showed the obvious lower overall survival rate than those with moderate and low expression,and patients with low expression had a better survival rate than those with moderate and high expression(P<0.05).In conclusion,high N-cadherin expression may lead to tumor aggressiveness and metastatic potential in colorectal cancer,and may prove to be a possible prognostic factor.ZHUO HongQing JIANG KeWei DONG LingYi ZHU Yi Lü Liang Lü You ZHANG YanBin ZHANG Hui YE YingJiang WANG Shan 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,28:2
6Study on the SiN_x/Al rear reflectance performance of crystalline silicon solar cells显示文摘The performance of internal rear surface reflectance of crystalline silicon solar cells is becoming more and more important with the decrease of thickness of the silicon wafers. In this paper PC1D was used to simulate the correlations between the rear surface reflectance and the electrical as well as optical properties of the solar cells. The results showed that the short circuit current, open circuit voltage and quantum efficiency were all enhanced with the increase of the rear reflectance. When the rear reflectance increased from 60% to 100%, the short circuit current, open circuit voltage and maximum output power were improved by about 0.128 A, 0.007 V, and 0.066 W, respectively. The internal quantum efficiency was improved by 39.9%, the external quantum increased by 17.4%, and the efficiency of the solar cells was enhanced by 0.4% at 1100 nm wavelength. 7Catalyst-Free In Situ Carbon Nanotube Growth in Confined Space via High Temperature Gradient显示文摘Carbonaceous materials,such as graphite,carbon nanotubes(CNTs),and graphene,are in high demand for a broad range of applications,including batteries,capacitors,and composite materials.Studies on the transformation between diferent types of carbon,especially from abundant and low-cost carbon to high-end carbon allotropes,have received surging interest.Here,we report that,without a catalyst or an external carbon source,biomass-derived amorphous carbon and defective reduced graphene oxide(RGO)can be quickly transformed into CNTs in highly confned spaces by high temperature Joule heating.Combined with experimental measurements and molecular dynamics simulations,we propose that Joule heating induces a high local temperature at defect sites due to the corresponding high local resistance.Te resultant temperature gradient in amorphous carbon or RGO drives the migration of carbon atoms and promotes the growth of CNTs without using a catalyst or external carbon source.Our fndings on the growth of CNTs in confned spaces by fast high temperature Joule heating shed light on the controlled transition between diferent carbon allotropes,which can be extended to the growth of other high aspect ratio nanomaterials.Chaoji Chen Yanan Chen Shuze Zhu Jiaqi Dai Glenn Pastel Yonggang Yao Dapeng Liu Yanbin Wang Jiayu Wan Teng Li Wei Luo Liangbing Hu 2018Research2018,,1:2

9Effect of Pre-Anthesis Drought Hardening on Post-Anthesis Physiological Characteristics,Yield and WUE in Winter Wheat显示文摘A drought event can cause yield loss or entire crops to fail.In order to study the effects of continuous drought on physiological characteristics,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE)of winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),the variety“Zhoumai 22”was grown in controlled water conditions of the pot-planted winter wheat under a mobile rainout shelter.Foot planting and safe wintering were used to evaluate,winter wheat under different drought conditions,including light,moderate and severe drought at the jointing,heading,and filling stages.The soil water content was controlled at 60–70%,50–60%,or 40–50%of field capacity.Experimental trials included 3 pre-anthesis drought hardening,3 three-stage continuous drought,and 1 test control conditions.Under drought stress conditions,winter wheat leaf water potential,soil plant analysis development(SPAD),photosynthesis parameters,and yield declined due to pre-anthesis drought hardening.And the degree of decline:continuous drought>pre-anthesis drought hardening.Changes in the post-anthesis photosynthetic capacity of winter wheat were mainly related to the pre-anthesis drought level,rather than post-anthesis rehydration.The threshold of non-stomata limiting factors caused by photosynthesis at the filling stage is 40–50%FC,while comprehensive yield and WUE affected,the yield in severe drought treatments was the most significant,B3C3 and B3C3G3 decreased by 55.68%and 55.88%,respectively.Pre-anthesis drought was the main reason for the decreased crop yield.Thus,severe drought should be avoided during planting,while pre-anthesis light drought is a suitable choice for watersaving and crop production,as proper pre-anthesis drought hardening(60–70%FC)is feasible and effective.Ruitao Lou Daoxi Li Yanbin Li Zepeng Bian Yanan Zhu 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,1:2
10Effectiveness of Liu-zi-jue exercise on coronavirus disease 2019 in the patients: a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of Liu-zi-jue exercise on the respiratory symptoms, quality of life, and mental health of patients with mild coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19). METHODS: A single-center randomized controlled trial was conducted with 104 patients with mild COVID-19. The patients were randomly assigned to the Liu-zi-jue plus conventional therapy group and conventional therapy group. The outcome measures included Modified Borg Dyspnea Scale(MBDS) score, Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9) score, Fatigue Scale-14(FS-14), respiratory symptoms, and vital signs. Data were collected on the first and sixth days of hospitalization and on the discharge day. RESULTS: Repeated-measures ANOVA revealed that the whole scales all showed a downward trend in the two groups(all P < 0.05). The results of single-group effect suggested that the whole scale score in the intervention group was significantly lower than that in the control group at the sixth day of hospitalization. Compared with the control group, only the MBDS, expectoration, and FS-14 scores showed significantly lower scores at the discharge day(P < 0.001, P = 0.011, P = 0.002). Comparison within the group showed that all the variables were significantly different at the three time points with a decreasing trend(P < 0.05), except for the PHQ-9 and expectoration scores(P = 0.331, 0.052). All patients’ vital signs remained within a stable normal range throughout the hospital stay. 17Redirecting dynamic structural evolution of nickel-contained RuO_(2) catalyst during electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is a main efficiency bottleneck of water electrolysis.Commercial ruthenium oxide (RuO_(2)) catalyst displays remarkable activities but poor stability for OER.The instability stems from lattice oxygen oxidation,resulting in the oxidation of Ru^(4+) to soluble Ru^(4+)(x>4) species.Herein,we redirect dynamic structural evolution of Ru-based catalysts through introducing oxidized nickel (Ni) components.By virtue of comprehensive structural characterizations,such as high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF-STEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),operando Raman and so forth,it is demonstrated that when the atomic content of Ni exceeds that of ruthenium (Ru),the Ni components can efficiently inhibit the Ru^(4+) oxidation and structural collapse.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations suggest that the introduction of Ni component hinders the formation of oxygen vacancies,and makes lattice oxygen mediated mechanism turn to adsorbate evolution mechanism,which eventually improves the stability.The optimized nickel-contained RuO_(2) catalyst delivers an effective reactivity with an overpotential of less than 215 m V to attain 10 m A cm^(-2) and remarkable stability with only 5 mV increment after 5000 potential cycles.This work provides insights into the origin of dynamic structural evolution of transition-metalmodified RuO_(2) electrocatalysts.Yuhan Zhao Menghua Xi Yanbin Qi Xuedi Sheng Pengfei Tian Yihua Zhu Xiaoling Yang Chunzhong Li Hongliang Jiang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,6:1
18Effects of Multi-Stage Continuous Drought on Photosynthetic Characteristics, Yield and Water Use Efficiency of Winter Wheat显示文摘A drought event can cause entire crops to fail or yield loss.In order to study the effects of continuous drought on photosynthetic characteristics,yield,and water use efficiency(WUE)of winter wheat(Triticum aestivum L.),the winter wheat variety“Aikang 58”was selected as test material with controlling the water of the pot-planted winter wheat under a mobile rainout shelter.Based on foot planting and safe wintering,winter wheat was evaluated under different drought conditions,including light,moderate and severe drought at the jointing(B),heading(C),and filling(G)stages.The soil water content was controlled in a range of 60%to 70%,50%to 60%,and 40%to 50%of the field capacity,respectively.In the experiment,there were 9 single-stage droughts,3 three-stage droughts,and 1 test control(totaling 13 trials).The results are as follows:Under a single-stage drought,the change of net photosynthetic rate(Pn)and stomatal conductance(Gs)have similar trends,and they both decrease significantly with the severity of the drought.Under three-stage continuous droughts,the change curve of Gs shows a constant downward trend;the change curve of Pn showed a“valley shape,”and the minimum value of Pn appeared at the heading stage.All droughts will reduce the yield of winter wheat.Under the three-stage continuous drought conditions,except for light drought,moderate drought and severe drought will cause significant yield reduction,mainly due to lack of water at the jointing and heading stages.Continuous drought will reduce the WUE,and the difference will reach a significant level under moderate and severe drought.The present results suggested that when water resources are scarce,it is a better irrigation model to save water and achieve high grain yield by applying appropriate water stress(60%–70%FC)during the critical growth period of winter wheat.Daoxi Li Ruitao Lou Yanbin Li Zepeng Bian Ya’nan Zhu 2020Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2020,89,3:1

20Turning ZrTe_5 into a semiconductor through atom intercalation显示文摘In this study we successfully intercalated potassium(K) atoms into single ZrTe_5 crystals by liquid ammonia method, and found a semimetal-to-semiconductor transition at low temperatures in K-intercalated ZrTe_5. As the K concentration increased, the resistance anomalous peak was gradually suppressed until finally disappearing. Whilst, the corresponding Hall resistance measurements consistently showed a sign reversal.
