1Micro-light-emitting diodes with quantum dots in display technology显示文摘Micro-light-emitting diodes(μ-LEDs)are regarded as the cornerstone of next-generation display technology to meet the personalised demands of advanced applications,such as mobile phones,wearable watches,virtual/augmented reality,micro-projectors and ultrahigh-definition TVs.However,as the LED chip size shrinks to below 20μm,conventional phosphor colour conversion cannot present sufficient luminance and yield to support highresolution displays due to the low absorption cross-section.The emergence of quantum dot(QD)materials is expected to fill this gap due to their remarkable photoluminescence,narrow bandwidth emission,colour tuneability,high quantum yield and nanoscale size,providing a powerful full-colour solution for μ-LED displays.Here,we comprehensively review the latest progress concerning the implementation of μ-LEDs and QDs in display technology,including μ-LED design and fabrication,large-scale μ-LED transfer and QD full-colour strategy.Outlooks on QD stability,patterning and deposition and challenges of μ-LED displays are also provided.Finally,we discuss the advanced applications of QD-based μ-LED displays,showing the bright future of this technology.Zhaojun Liu Chun-Ho Lin Byung-Ryool Hyun Chin-Wei Sher Zhijian Lv Bingqing Luo Fulong Jiang Tom Wu Chih-Hsiang Ho Hao-Chung Kuo Jr-Hau He 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:12

3A two-step lineage reprogramming strategy to generate functionally competent human hepatocytes from fibroblasts显示文摘Terminally differentiated cells can be generated by lineage reprogramming,which is,however,hindered by incomplete conversion with residual initial cell identity and partial functionality. Here, we demonstrate a new reprogramming strategy by mimicking the natural regeneration route, which permits generating expandable hepatic progenitor cells and functionally competent human hepatocytes. Fibroblasts were first induced into human hepatic progenitor-like cells (hHPLCs), which could robustly expand in vitro and efficiently engraft in vivo. Moreover, hHPLCs could be efficiently induced into mature human hepatocytes (hiHeps) in vitro, whose molecular identity highly resembles primary human hepatocytes (PHHs). Most importantly, hiHeps could be generated in large quantity and were functionally competent to replace PHHs for drug-metabolism estimation, toxicity prediction and hepatitis B virus infection modeling. Our results highlight the advantages of the progenitor stage for successful lineage reprogramming. 4Meiofauna Distribution in Intertidal Sandy Beaches Along China Shoreline(18?–40?N)显示文摘In this study,the distribution pattern of meiofauna from nine sandy beaches at six latitudinal gradients along Chinese coast between 18 and 40?N was studied on their meiofauna abundance to examine the effect of latitudinal gradients.In general,meiofauna abundance was lower in four subtropical beaches in Xiamen(24?N) and Zhoushan(29?N) than that in other beaches.Meiofauna abundance differed little between tropical and temperate beaches.The taxonomic structure of meiofauna showed a dominance of nematode in colder area.The relative composition of turbellarians and polychaetes increased in warmer area.In addition to latitudinal gradient,salinity,oxygenation,sediment grain size affect also the meiofauna latitudinal distribution.As for horizontal distribution,the highest meiofauna abundance was found in low tidal zone at tropical beaches,and in middle tidal zone at temperate beaches.The horizontal distribution of meiofauna was controlled by both physical and biotic factors including feeding and anthropogenic activities.Although meiofauna abundance exhibited a horizontal difference,the composition of meiofaunal main taxa was unanimous horizontally at all beaches at the same sampling latitude.HUA Er ZHANG Zhinan ZHOU Hong MU Fanghong LI Jia ZHANG Ting CONG Bingqing LIU Xiaoshou 2016Journal of Ocean University of China2016,15,1:7

6Economic optimization on two time scales for a hybrid energy system based on virtual storage显示文摘This paper proposes an economic optimization method with two time scales for a hybrid energy system based on the virtual storage characteristic of a thermostatically controlled load(TCL). The optimization process includes two time scales in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Based on the forecast load and energy supply of the system, the first time scale is day-ahead economic operating optimization, carried out to determine the minimum operating cost for the whole day, and to find the period of greatest cost to which the second time scale optimization is applied. Using the virtual storage characteristic, the second time scale is short-term detailed optimization carried out for these particular hours. By dispatching thermal load in this period and adjusting energy supply accordingly, we can find the optimal economic performance, and customer requests are taken into account to ensure satisfaction. 7Resveratrol induces AMPK and mTOR signaling inhibition-mediated autophagy and apoptosis in multiple myeloma cells显示文摘Resveratrol,a natural compound extracted from the skins of grapes,berries,or other fruits,has been shown to have anti-tumor effects against multiple myeloma(MM)via promoting apoptosis and inhibiting cell viability.In addition to apoptosis,autophagy also plays a significant role in anti-tumor effects.However,whether autophagy is involved in anti-MM activity of resveratrol remains unclear.In this study,human MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929 were treated with resveratrol.Cell Counting Kit-8 assay and colony formation assay were used to measure cell viability.Western blot analysis was used to detect apoptosis-and autophagy-associated proteins.3-Methyladenine(3-MA)was applied to inhibit autophagy.Results showed that resveratrol inhibited cell viability and colony formation via promoting apoptosis and autophagy in MM cell lines U266,RPMI-8226,and NCI-H929.Resveratrol promoted apoptosis-related proteins,Caspase-3 activating poly-ADP-ribose polymerase and Caspase-3 cleavage,and decreased the protein level of Survivin in a dose-dependent manner.Additionally,resveratrol upregulated the levels of LC3 and Beclin1 in a dose-dependent way,indicating that autophagy might be implicated in anti-MM effect of resveratrol.Furthermore,3-MA relieved the cytotoxicity of resveratrol by blocking the autophagic flux.Resveratrol increased the phosphorylation of adenosine monophosphate(AMP)-activated protein kinase and decreased the phosphorylation of mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)and its downstream substrates p70S6K and 4EBP1 in a dose-dependent manner,leading to autophagy.Therefore,our results suggest that resveratrol exerts anti-MM effects through apoptosis and autophagy,which can be used as a new therapeutic strategy for MM in clinic.Ruye Ma Dandan Yu Yu Peng Hongfei Yi Yingcong Wang Taofang Cheng Bingqing Shi Guang Yang Weiming Lai Xiaosong Wu Ye Lu Jumei Shi 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,6:7
8Microstructure Evolution and Tensile Properties of Ti_3Al/Ni-based Superalloy Welded Joint显示文摘In the present work,the dissimilar joining of a Ti_3AI-based alloy to a Ni-based superalloy was attempted by gas tungsten arc(GTA) welding technology.Sound joints were successfully achieved by using a Cu—Ni alloy as filler material.According to X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis results three transitional layers at the weld/Ti_3AI interface were verified as follows:Ti_2AINb phase dissolved with Cu and Ni;AI(Cu,Ni)_2Ti,(Cu,Ni)_2Ti and(Nb,Ti) solid solution;Cu-rich phase and a complex multi-element phase.The In718/weld interface is characterized by solid solutions of Ni,Cu,Cr,Fe and Nb.The average tensile strength of the as-welded joints at room temperature is 1 63 MPa,and after a post—weld heat treatment it is increased slightly to 177 MPa.The fracture occurred at the surfacial layer of the joined Ti_3AI base alloy,indicating that the Ti_2AINb layer dissolved with Cu and Ni is the weak link of the Ti_3AI/ln71 8 joint.Bingqing Chen Huaping Xiong Bingbing Sun Siyi Tang Shaoqing Guo Xuejun Zhang 2014Journal of Materials Science & Technology2014,30,7:7

11Effects of structure and sur-face properties on carbon nanotubes' hydrogen storage characteristics显示文摘Hydrogen adsorption experiments were carried out in special stainless steel vessels at room temperature (298K) and under 10 MPa using self-synthesized multi-walled carbon nanotubes. In the experiments, carbon nanotubessynthesized by the seeded catalyst method were pretreatedby being soaked in chemical reagents or annealed at hightemperature before they were used to adsorb hydrogen, but their capacity for hydrogen storage was still poor. Carbonnanotubes synthesized by the floating catalyst method were found to be able to adsorb more hydrogen. 12Component analysis and risk assessment of biogas slurry from biogas plants显示文摘Massive amounts of biogas slurry are produced due to the development of biogas plants.The pollution features and the risk of biogas slurry were fully evaluated in this work.Thirty-one biogas slurry samples were collected from sixteen different cities and five different raw materials biogas plants(e.g.cattle manure,swine manure,straw-manure mixture,kitchen waste and chicken manure).The chemical oxygen demand(COD),ammonia nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N),anions(e.g.Cl^(-1),SO_(4)^(2-),NO_(3)^(-)and PO_(4)^(3-)),antibiotics(e.g.sulphonamides,quinolones,β2-receptor agonists,macrolides,tetracyclines and crystal violet)and heavy metals(e.g.Cu,Cd,As,Cr,Hg,Zn and Pb)contents from these biogas slurry samples were systematically investigated.On this basis,risk assessment of biogas slurry was also performed.The concentrations of COD,NH_(4)^(+)-N and PO_(4)^(3-) in biogas slurry samples with chicken manure as raw material were significantly higher than those of other raw materials.Therefore,the biogas slurry from chicken manure raw material demonstrated the most serious eutrophication threat.The antibiotic contents in biogas slurry samples from swine manure were the highest among five raw materials,mostly sulphonamides,quinolones and tetracyclines.Biogas slurry revealed particularly serious arsenic contamination and moderate potential ecological risk.The quadratic polynomial stepwise regression model can quantitatively describe the correlation among NH_(4)^(+)-N,PO_(4)^(3+) and heavy metals concentration of biogas slurry.This work demonstrated a universal potential threat from biogas slurry that can provide supporting data and theoretical basis for harmless treatment and reuse of biogas slurry.Lanting Ke Xiaobin Liu Bingqing Du Yuanpeng Wang Yanmei Zheng Qingbiao Li 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,4:5
13Parametric Problems in Power System Analysis:Recent Applications of Polynomial Approximation Based on Galerkin Method显示文摘In power systems, there are many uncertainty factors such as power outputs of distributed generations and fluctuations of loads. It is very beneficial to power system analysis to acquire an explicit function describing the relationship between these factors(namely parameters) and power system states(or performances). This problem, termed as parametric problem(PP) in this paper, can be solved by Galerkin method,which is a powerful and mathematically rigorous method aiming to seek an accurate explicit approximate function by projection techniques. This paper provides a review of the applications of polynomial approximation based on Galerkin method in power system PPs as well as stochastic problems. First, the fundamentals of polynomial approximation and Galerkin method are introduced. Then, the process of solving three types of typical PPs by polynomial approximation based on Galerkin method is elaborated. 15Effect of active control on optimal structures in wall turbulence显示文摘The effect of active control imposed at the wall on optimal structures in wall turbulence is studied by using a linear transient growth model.When the detection plane of the control is located in the buffer layer,the influence of the control on the transient growth of large scale motion becomes negligible as Reynolds number increases.However,if the control signal is detected at the plane located in the logarithm region,the transient growth at large scale can be greatly suppressed.New peak values of transient growth resulting from the strong blowing and suction on the wall exist.The study indicates that a proper selection of control imposed on the wall can suppress the large scale motion in the logarithmic region.DENG BingQing XU ChunXiao HUANG WeiXi CUI GuiXiang 2013Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,2:3
16Microstructures and mechanical properties of Ti_3Al/Ni-based superalloy joints arc welded with Ti–Nb and Ti–Ni–Nb filler alloys显示文摘Dissimilar joining of Ti3Al-based alloy to Ni-based superalloy has been carried out using gas tungsten arc(GTA) welding technology with Ti–Nb and Ti–Ni–Nb filler alloys.The joint welded with the Ti–Nb filler alloy contained much less interfacial brittle phases than the one using the Ti–Ni–Nb filler alloy.The average room-temperature tensile strength of the joint welded with Ti–Nb was 202 MPa and the strength value of the one welded with Ti–Ni–Nb was 128 MPa.For both fillers,the weak links of the dissimilar joints were the weld/In718 interfaces.The presence of TiNi,TiNi3 and Ni3Nb intermetallic compounds in the joint welded with Ti–Ni–Nb induced microcracks at the weld/In718 interface and deteriorated the mechanical properties of the joint.And the adoption of the Ti–Nb filler alloy decreased the formation tendency of interfacial brittle phases to some extent and thus enhanced the tensile strength of the joint.Bingqing Chen Huaping Xiong Bingbing Sun Siyi Tang Borui Du Neng Li 2014Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2014,24,4:3
17Enabling End-to-End Communication Between Wireless Sensor Networks and the Internet Based on 6Lo WPAN显示文摘In the paradigms of the Internet of things(Io T), sensor nodes could collect the data through the Wireless sensor network(WSN), and could be managed and accessed by human users through the Internet. There are many challenges remain. Taking advantage of IPv6,IPv6 over Low-power personal area networks(6Lo WPANs)implemented on resource constrained devices makes the connection possible and easier. This paper is contributing on constructing architecture of the end-to-end communication system based on 6Lo WPAN gateway, which enabled convergence of IPv6 network and low-power wireless networking, featuring encapsulating 6Lo WPAN adapter layer in a Network adapter driver(NAD) of personal computer.
