| 1 | Synthesis of spherical CoAl_2O_4 pigment particles with high reflectivity by polymeric-aerosol pyrolysis显示文摘Spherical cobalt blue particles with good reflectivity characteristics were synthesized by spray pyrolysis. Two different spray solutions were prepared to investigate the differences in the morphology and the reflectivity properties of cobalt blue particles. One was an aqueous solution, and the other was a polycation solution that was obtained by chemically modifying the aqueous solution with NH4OH. The cobalt blue particles prepared with the aqueous solution had an irregular morphology after heat treatment at 1000°C for 2 h. On the contrary, spherical and dense particles were obtained from the polycation solution. | 3 | Unique characteristics of the genetics epidemiology of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in China显示文摘Continual discoveries of new genes and unraveling the genetic etiology in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) have provided greater insight into the underlying pathogenesis in motor neuron degeneration, as well as facilitating the disease modeling and the testing of targeted therapeutics. While, the genetic etiology accounted for two-thirds of FALS and approximately 11% of SALS in Caucasians. However, the contributions of these causative genes to ALS vary among different populations. Furthermore, the prominent difference between Chinese population and other ethnics remains a source of ongoing debate. We systemically reviewed genetics literature of Chinese ALS populations and updated the mutation frequencies of the main ALS-implicated genes aiming to determine the genetic features of ALS in Chinese population. We also reviewed the associations between ALSimplicated single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) and the risk of ALS in Chinese population. A total of 116 studies were included in this analysis(86 gene mutation study articles and 30 SNPs study articles). The results showed that the overall gene mutation rates of ALS-related causative genes were 55.0% in familial ALS(FALS) and 11.7% in sporadic ALS(SALS) in Chinese population. In Chinese FALS, the highest mutation frequency was found in SOD1 gene(25.6%), followed by FUS(5.8%), TARDBP(5.8%), DCTN1(3.6%) and C9 orf 72(3.5%). In Chinese SALS, the highest mutation frequency was also identified in SOD1 gene(1.6%), followed by ANXA11(1.4%), FUS(1.3%), SQSTM1(1.0%), OPTN(0.9%) and CCNF(0.8%).The associations between several SNPs and risk of ALS were also reported in Chinese population. The genetic features of ALS in Chinese population are significantly different from those in Caucasian population, indicating an association between genetic susceptibility and origin of population. | 4 | Preparation of spherical spinel LiCr_(0.04)Mn_(1.96)O_4 cathode materials based on the slurry spray drying method显示文摘Regular spherical chromium doped spinel lithium manganese oxides (LiCr0.04Mn1.96O4) with an average particle size of about 20 μm were prepared by the slurry spray drying process. The materials were compared with non-spherical LiCr0.04Mn1.96O4 materials prepared by the common drying process, and all materials were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), laser particle analyzer and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) specific surface area test. Electrochemical performances of these cathode materials were studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Li/LiCr0.04Mn1.96O4 battery test. The results show that the spherical active material is single spinel structure, compact, and with narrow particle size distribution and low BET specific surface area. | 6 | Synthesis of LiFePO_4 using FeSO_4·7H_2O byproduct from TiO_2 production as raw material显示文摘As the byproduct of TiO2 industrial production, impure FeSO4·7H2O was used for the synthesis of LiFePO4. With the purified solution of FeSO4·7H2O, FePO4·xH2O was prepared by a normal titration method and a controlled crystallization method, respectively. Then LiFePO4 materials were synthesized by calcining the mixture of FePO4·xH2O, Li2CO3, and glucose at 700°C for 10 h in flowing Ar. The results indicate that the elimination of FeSO4·7H2O impurities reached over 95%, and using FePO4·xH2O prepared by the controlled crystallization method, the obtained LiFePO4 material has fine and sphere-like particles. The material delivers a higher initial discharge specific capacity of 149 mAh·g-1 at a current density of 0.1C rate (1C=170 mA·g-1); the discharge specific capacity also maintains above 120 mAh·g1 after 100 cycles even at 2C rate. The effects of the Co3(PO4)2 coating on the structure and electrochemical properties of the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode material were investigated. The Co3(PO4)2 coating forms a thin layer on the surface of the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 material and a solid solution by interacting with the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 core material during calcination at 700°C for 4 h. Charge-discharge experiment results show that the Co3(PO4)2 coating improves the cycling stability of the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode material. The capacity retention of the pristine LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode after 50 cycles is 83.6%, whereas it is 91.7% in the case of the LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode coated with 1 wt.% Co3(PO4)2. | 15 | Intratumoral Bacteria Dysbiosis Is Associated with Human Papillary Thyroid Cancer and Correlated with Oncogenic Signaling Pathways显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that microbial dysbiosis plays vital roles in many human cancers.However,knowledge of whether the microbial community in thyroid tumor is related to tumorigenesis remains elusive.In this study,we aimed to explore the microbial community in thyroid tissues and its contribution to papillary thyroid cancer(PTC).In parallel,we performed microbial profiling and transcriptome sequencing in the tumor and adjacent normal tissues of a large cohort of 340 PTC and benign thyroid nodule(BTN)patients.Distinct microbial signatures were identified in PTC,BTN,and their adjacent nontumor tissues.Intra-thyroid tissue bacteria were verified by means of bacteria staining,fluorescence in situ hybridization,and immunoelectron microscopy.We found that 17 bacterial taxa were differentially abundant in PTC compared with BTN,which included enrichment in PTC of the pathobionts Rhodococcus,Neisseria,Streptococcus,Halomonas,and Devosia,and depletion of the beneficial bacteria Amycolatopsis.These differentially abundant bacteria could differentiate PTC tumor tissues(PTC-T)from BTN tissues(BTN-T)with an area under the curve(AUC)of 81.66%.Microbial network analysis showed increased correlation strengths among the bacterial taxa in PTC-T in comparison with BTN-T.Immunefunction-corresponding bacteria(i.e.,Erwinia,Bacillus,and Acinetobacter)were found to be enriched in PTC with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.Moreover,our integrative analysis revealed that the PTC-enriched bacteria had a positive association with key PTC-oncogenic pathway-related genes,including BRAF,KRAS,IRAK4,CTNNB1,PIK3CA,MAP3K7,and EGFR.In conclusion,our results suggest that intratumor bacteria dysbiosis is associated with the thyroid tumorigenesis and oncogenic signaling pathways of PTC. | Shuang Yu Yanqiang Ding Xuejie Wang Siu Kin Ng Siting Cao Weixin Liu Zhuming Guo Yubin Xie Shubin Hong Lixia Xu Xiaoxing Li Jie Li Weiming Lv Sui Peng Yanbing Li Joseph J.Y.Sung Jun Yu Haipeng Xiao | 2023 | Engineering2023,,9: | 0 |
