1Whole-genome sequencing of 508 patients identifies key molecular features associated with poor prognosis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is a poor-prognosis cancer type with limited understanding of its molecular etiology.Using 508 ESCC genomes,we identified five novel significantly mutated genes and uncovered mutational signature clusters associated with metastasis and patients’outcomes.Several functional assays implicated that NFE2L2 may act as a tumor suppressor in ESCC and that mutations in NFE2L2 probably impaired its tumor-suppressive function,or even conferred oncogenic activities.Additionally,we found that the NFE2L2 mutations were significantly associated with worse prognosis of ESCC.We also identified potential noncoding driver mutations including hotspot mutations in the promoter region of SLC35E2 that were correlated with worse survival.Approximately 5.9%and 15.2%of patients had high tumor mutation burden or actionable mutations,respectively,and may benefit from immunotherapy or targeted therapies.We found clinically relevant coding and noncoding genomic alterations and revealed three major subtypes that robustly predicted patients’outcomes.Collectively,we report the largest dataset of genomic profiling of ESCC useful for developing ESCC-specific biomarkers for diagnosis and treatment.Yongping Cui Hongyan Chen Ruibin Xi Heyang Cui Yahui Zhao Enwei Xu Ting Yan Xiaomei Lu Furong Huang Pengzhou Kong Yang Li Xiaolin Zhu Jiawei Wang Wenjie Zhu Jie Wang Yanchun Ma Yong Zhou Shiping Guo Ling Zhang Yiqian Liu Bin Wang Yanfeng Xi Ruifang Sun Xiao Yu Yuanfang Zhai Fang Wang Jian Yang Bin Yang Caixia Cheng Jing Liu Bin Song Hongyi Li Yi Wang Yingchun Zhang Xiaolong Cheng Qimin Zhan Yanhong Li Zhihua Liu-Show 2020Cell Research2020,30,10:19
2To inhibit coffee ring effect in inkjet printing of light-emitting polymer films by decreasing capillary force显示文摘Polymer thin film with uniform thickness and flat surface profile is the key point for polymer light emitting diodes(PLEDs) by inkjet printing. However, the coffee ring effect is usually observed due to the mismatch between the evaporation of the solvent and the decrease of solution volume, which promotes the formation of radial flow from the interior of the drop to the edge. In this paper, coffee ring effects of inkjet printed poly(spirobifluorene) films were proposed to be restrained by decreasing capillary force by adding co-solvent with high boiling point and high viscosity to the main solvent. The low evaporation rate of the co-solvent can reduce the driving force of the radial flow; meanwhile the high viscosity of the co-solvent can increase the resistance of the radial flow. Thus, polymer films with improve uniformity can be obtained due to the suppression of the radial flow. 3Inkjet printing of viscoelastic polymer inks显示文摘Inkjet printing is a new fabricating method that can realize the precise film deposition. For polymer inks,the coil-stretch transition of polymer chains always impacts the ink droplet formation and a beads-on-a string structure filament is formed, thus generating unwanted satellite droplets. This review provides a short introduction of the dynamic process of the droplet formation. Then fluid rheological requirements for a printable polymer ink are summarized. Finally the strain hardening phenomenon of polymer chains in the filament formation and its impact on polymer ink-jetting are discussed. 7Discovery of ABO_(4)scheelites with the extra low thermal conductivity through high-throughput calculations显示文摘Searching for new materials with extra low thermal conductivities is significant in numerous fields like thermal barrier coatings and thermoelectric devices.Traditional multiple-component design has successfully reduced the thermal conductivity,but it also dramatically increases the complexity of manufactural technologies and the risk of material failures.In this work,a specific category known as ABO_(4) scheelites that with both simple crystal structure and the structural signature of the low lattice thermal conductivity is explored.High-throughput calculations are employed to screen for the materials with the targeted performance by multi-dimensional mechanical/thermal property criteria and a database of 46 stable scheelites is constructed.Seven scheelites with both ultra-low thermal conductivities(<1.2 W/(m∙K))and quasi-ductility are predicted to be novel thermal insulation materials.Low thermal conductivities prefer the scheelites with large valence disparity between“A”and“B”cations and/or small ionic radius ratio.The adopted strategy starting from the structural fingerprint and the data-driven material selection is expected to be a reference of future structural and functional ceramics design.Yuchen Liu Dechang Jia Yu Zhou Yanchun Zhou Juanli Zhao Qian Li Bin Liu 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,4:2

9Formyl tetrahydrofolate deformylase affects hydrogen peroxide accumulation and leaf senescence by regulating the folate status and redox homeostasis in rice显示文摘It is well established that an abnormal tetrahydrofolate(THF)cycle causes the accumulation of hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))and leaf senescence,however,the molecular mechanism underlying this relationship remains largely unknown.Here,we reported a novel rice tetrahydrofolate cycle mutant,which exhibited H_(2)O_(2)accumulation and early leaf senescence phenotypes.Map-based cloning revealed that HPA1 encodes a tetrahydrofolate deformylase,and its deficiency led to the accumulation of tetrahydrofolate,5-formyl tetrahydrofolate and 10-formyl tetrahydrofolate,in contrast,a decrease in 5,10-methenyl-tetrahydrofolate.The expression of tetrahydrofolate cycle-associated genes encoding serine hydroxymethyl transferase,glycine decarboxylase and 5-formyl tetrahydrofolate cycloligase was significantly down-regulated.In addition,the accumulation of H_(2)O_(2)in hpa1 was not caused by elevated glycolate oxidation.Proteomics and enzyme activity analyses further revealed that mitochondria oxidative phosphorylation complex I and complex V were differentially expressed in hpa1,which was consistent with the H_(2)O_(2)accumulation in hpa1.In a further feeding assay with exogenous glutathione(GSH),a non-enzymatic antioxidant that consumes H_(2)O_(2),the H_(2)O_(2)accumulation and leaf senescence phenotypes of hpa1 were obviously compensated.Taken together,our findings suggest that the accumulation of H_(2)O_(2)in hpa1 may be mediated by an altered folate status and redox homeostasis,subsequently triggering leaf senescence.Erhui Xiong Guojun Dong Fei Chen Chen Zhang Shan Li Yanli Zhang Jahidul Islam Shohag Xiaoe Yang Yihua Zhou Qian Qian Limin Wu Yanchun Yu 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,5:1

16Influence of Tide Models on the Use of Altimetry Data to Research Sea Level Anomaly显示文摘A tide model (named DN1.0), which contains 12 principal constituents over China seas and the Northwest Pacific is estimated by along-track harmonic analysis with TOPEX/Poseidon altimetry data taken from 1993 to 2002. CSR3.0, FES95.2 and DN1.0 are used respectively to detide the data for the time series of sea level anomaly (SLA) in the Yellow Sea, East China Sea, South China Sea and Northwest Pacific. 17Design optimized intermixed phase by tuning polymer-fullerene intercalation for free charge generation显示文摘The inte rmixed phase is important in effective charge separation due to the formation of cascaded energy landscape between intermixed phase and pure phases in polymer/fullerene solar cells.However,the quantitative relationship between the charge separation and the content of intermixed phase has not been investigated clearly so far.Here,we proposed to tune the content of the polymer/PC71BM intermixed phase by cha nging the polymer solution conformatio n.Poly[2,5-bis(3-tetradecylthiophen-2-yl)thieno[3,2-b]thiophene](PBTTT)and PC71 BM was selected as a model system.The organization of the PBTTT in solution promotes the formation of ordered aggregates as aging time increases,the interdigitation of side-chains restricts the intercalation of PC71 BM.Therefore,the intermixed phase formed by intercalation PC71 BM to PBTTT side chain can be controlled.When the aging time increasing from 0 to 80 min,the extent of inte rcalation gradually from almost complete intercalated phase to almost non-intercalated.As the content of intercalated phase is about 11%,the charge dissociation is most efficie nt and short circuit current(Jsc)increased from 1.60 mA/cm2 to 4.94 mA/cm2,leading to optimized device performance.Qiang Zhang Jiangang Liu Xinhong Yu Yanchun Han 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,7:0
18A Scheme for Verifying the Integrity of Outsourced Data显示文摘Unauthorized tampering with outsourced data can result in significant losses for both data owner and users.Data integrity therefore becomes an important factor in outsourced data systems.In this paper,we address this problem and propose a scheme for verifying the integrity of outsourced data.We first propose a new authenticated data structure for authenticating membership queries in sets based on accumulators,and then show how to apply it to the problem of verifying the integrity of outsourced data.We also prove that our scheme is secure under the q-strong DiffieHellman assumption.More importantly,our scheme has the constant cost communication,meanwhile keeping other complexity measures constant.Compared to previous schemes based on accumulators,our scheme reduces update cost and so improves previous schemes based on accumulators.In addition,the experimental comparison shows that our scheme outperforms the previous schemes.WANG Xiaoming YU Fang LIN Yanchun GAN Qingqing WU Daini 2015China Communications2015,12,11:0
19Supramolecular complex glycoconjugate vaccine generates self-enhancement effects for carbohydrate antigen delivery显示文摘Targeting delivery of tumor-associated carbohydrate antigen(TACA)-based vaccine to antigen-presenting cells(APCs)mediated by endogenous antibodies can improve the immunogenicity of TACA.However,an essential requirement of this approach is to generate high titers of endogenous antibodies in vivo through pre-immunization,which complicates the immunization procedure and may cause side effects.Herein,we report a new generation of APC-targeting TACA-based supramolecular complex vaccine,assembled by sialyl Thomsen-nouveau-bovine serum albumin-adamantine(sTn-BSA-Ada)and heptavalent rhamnose(Rha)-modifiedβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)via host-guest interaction.The complex vaccine retained anti-Rha antibodies recruiting capability and facilitated the APCs uptake of the vaccine via the interaction of the Fc-domain with the Fc receptors on APCs.We demonstrate that direct immunization of complex vaccine elicited anti-Rha and anti-sTn specific immune response synchronously,generating a novel self-enhancement effect that can improve the antigen delivery to APCs in high efficacy.The structure-activity relationship(SAR)study proved that complex vaccine 4 with polyethylene glycol 6(PEG 6)linker in host molecule provoked a robust and specific sTn immune response comparable to the pre-immunization approach.The antisera induced by complex vaccine,either through direct immunization or pre-immunization,exhibited equal potency of cytotoxicity against the sTn expression cancer cells.This study provides a general platform for TACA-based vaccines with self-enhancement effects without the need for pre-immunization.Han Lin Yanchun Li Kun Zhou Dan Li Hangyan Yu Jie Zhao Haofei Hong Zhifang Zhou Zhimeng Wu 2024Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2:0
