1Long-term changes of phytoplankton community in Xiagu waters of Xiamen,China显示文摘Long-term changes of phytoplankton community by water sampling method in Xiagu Sea waters of Xiamen,China,were investigated in this study.Species composition of the phytoplankton community in these waters changed greatly since the 1950s.The numbers of Dinophyta species increased significantly,although Bacillariophyta species are generally dominant.The succession of dominant species in phytoplankton community is obvious: large-size dominant species such as Biddulphia sinensis of the 1950s were gradually replaced by small-size ones such as Cyclotella striata and Nitzschia closterium,and species that still maintain dominant such as Skeletonema costatum are also small ones,leading the whole phytoplankton community of smaller size.Cell density of phytoplankton community increased greatly,among which cell density of the most dominant species Skeletonema costatum have been increasing in exponent function.Margalef index of phytoplankton community decreased,indicating decline of biodiversity of the community,and dominant character of Skeletonema costatum increased.Generally,the structure of the entire phytoplankton community is becoming more and more singular and unstable,which makes the occurrence of red tides more frequent.The succession in the phytoplankton community is related to the long-term changes in marine environment,influenced by human activities and global climate changes,especially the increases of nutrient content.CHEN Baohong XU Zhuhua ZHOU Qiulin CHEN Changping GAO Yahui YANG Shengyun JI Weidong 2010Acta Oceanologica Sinica2010,29,6:14
2Evolution of urban black and odorous water:The characteristics of microbial community and driving-factors显示文摘Urban black blooms that are primarily caused by organic carbon are deleterious environmental problems.However,detailed studies on the microbial characteristics that form urban black blooms are lacking.In this study,we observed the composition,diversity,and function of bacterial community in the overlying water and sediments during the occurrence and remediation of urban black blooms using high-throughput 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing analysis.First,we found that pivotal consortia in the overlying water increased significantly during the formation of black blooms,including the genera Acidovorax,Brevundimonas,Pusillimonas,and Burkholderiales involved in the degradation of refractory organics,as well as the genera Desulfovibrio,Dechloromonas,and Rhizobium related to the production of black and odorous substances.An RDA analysis revealed that chemical oxygen demand,dissolved oxygen,and oxidation reduction potential were related to the changes in microbial community composition.Furthermore,aeration was found to accelerate the removal of ammonia nitrogen and enhance the function of microbial community by stimulating the growth of order Planktomycetes during the remediation of black blooms,but aeration substantially damaged the microbial diversity and richness.Therefore,the health of the aquatic ecosystem should be comprehensively considered when aeration is applied to restore polluted waterbodies.Notably,we observed a large number of pathogenic bacteria in urban black blooms,which emphasizes the importance of treating domestic sewage so that it is harmless.Together,these findings provide new insights and a basis to prevent and manage urban black blooms.Dan Zhang Huilan Yang Shuhuan Lan Chen Wang Xudong Li Yunxiao Xing Hua Yue Qiulin Li Ling Wang Yifei Xie 2022Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,2:4

4Impact of small-world topologies on broadcasting for wireless sensor networks显示文摘Broadcasting is an important operation and been widely used in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). These networks are power constrained as nodes operate with limited battery power. Wireless sensor networks are spatial graphs that have much more clustered and much high path-length characteristics. After considering energyeffcient broadcasting in such networks, by combining the small-world characteristic of WSNs and the properties of ant algorithm to quickly identify an optimal path, small-world power-aware broadcast algorithm is introduced and evaluated. 7Sediment transport and carbon sequestration characteristics along mangrove fringed coasts显示文摘Mangroves play an important role in sequestering carbon and trapping sediments. However, the effectiveness of such functions is unclear due to the restriction of knowledge on the sedimentation process across the vegetation boundaries. To detect the effects of mangrove forests on sediment transportation and organic carbon sequestration, the granulometric and organic carbon characteristics of mangrove sediments were investigated from three vegetation zones of four typical mangrove habitats on the Leizhou Peninsula coast. Based on our results, sediment transport was often 'environmentally sensitive' to the vegetation friction. A transition of the sediment transport mode from the mudflat zone to the interior/fringe zone was often detected from the cumulative frequency curve. The vegetation cover also assists the trapping of material, resulting in a significantly higher concentration of organic carbon in the interior surface sediments. However, the graphic parameters of core sediments reflected a highly temporal variability due to the sedimentation process at different locations. The sediment texture ranges widely from sand to mud, although the sedimentary environments are restricted within the same energy level along the fluvial-marine transition zone. Based on the PCA results, the large variation was mainly attributed to either the mean grain size features or the organic carbon features. 8Seamless and early gap healing of osteochondral defects by autologous mosaicplasty combined with bioactive supramolecular nanofiber-enabled gelatin methacryloyl(BSN-GelMA)hydrogel显示文摘Autologous mosaicplasty is a common approach used to treat osteochondral defects in clinical practice.Gap integration between host and transplanted plugs requires bone tissue reservation and hyaline cartilage regeneration without uneven surface,graft necrosis and sclerosis.However,poor gap integration is a serious concern,which eventually leads to deterioration of joint function.To deal with such complications,this study has developed a strategy to effectively enhance integration of the gap region following mosaicplasty by applying injectable bioactive supramolecular nanofiber-enabled gelatin methacryloyl(GelMA)hydrogel(BSN-GelMA).A rabbit osteochondral defect model demonstrated that BSN-GelMA achieved seamless osteochondral healing in the gap region between plugs of osteochondral defects following mosaicplasty,as early as six weeks.Moreover,the International Cartilage Repair Society score,histology score,glycosaminoglycan content,subchondral bone volume,and collagen II expression were observed to be the highest in the gap region of BSN-GelMA treated group.This improved outcome was due to bio-interactive materials,which acted as tissue fillers to bridge the gap,prevent cartilage degeneration,and promote graft survival and migration of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells by releasing bioactive supramolecular nanofibers from the GelMA hydrogel.This study provides a powerful and applicable approach to improve gap integration after autologous mosaicplasty.It is also a promising off-the-shelf bioactive material for cell-free in situ tissue regeneration.Hongwei Wu Yuna Shang Wei Sun Xinyi Ouyang Wenyan Zhou Jieji Lu Shuhui Yang Wei Wei Xudong Yao g Xiaozhao Wang Xianzhu Zhang Yishan Chen Qiulin He Zhimou Yang Hongwei Ouyang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,1:1

11The prewarning value of Alexandrium tamarense PSP in an area with frequent outburst of red tide显示文摘The PSP toxicity of Alexandrium tamarense (Lebour) Balech on the blue mussel (Mytilus edulis) from the western waters of Xiamen in China was studied by following the standard method of PSP mouse bioassay developed by the Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC). The results showed that the mice survived when the density of A. tamarense cells was lower than 1×105 cells per cubic decimetre and died when the density was higher than 1×106 cells per cubic decimetre. The past record of red tide events in the western waters of Xiamen showed a general trend of starting from the bloom of non-toxic planktonic diatoms in local waters and resulting in a harmful algal bloom due to the fade of planktonic diatoms which failed in the survival competition in the unfavorable and deteriorated eco-environment. 13Study on the Cutting Temperature of the Textured Tool by 3D FEA Simulation显示文摘Temperature plays an important role in the life of cutting tools.However,it is sometimes difficult to observe instantaneously because of limited data acquisition,especially for the textured tool.In this paper,the performance of microgroove textured cutting tools for three-dimensional(3D)oblique dry turning of AISI 1045 steel was studied by finite element simulation.The effects of width,depth and spacing of strip micro-texture on cutting temperature and the effect of cutting speed on cutting temperature of strip microtexture tool were studied.The results show that the maximum temperature of the tool and the tip temperature first increase and then decrease with the increase of micro-texture width.When the micro-texture depth increases,the maximum temperature and the tool tip temperature decrease first and then increase.The highest temperature and tip temperature of the tool gradually increase with the increase of micro-texture spacing.The highest temperature and tip temperature of the tool increase with the increase of cutting speed,feed speed and cutting depth.In addition,the effective mechanism of micro-texture parameter for the temperature was proposed.It provides profound guidance for optimizing the microstructure parameters and cutting process of cutting tools according to cutting temperature in this study.It also provides an effective and practical method for the design,innovation and development of microtextured tools.Siwen TANG Pengfei LIU Rui WANG Qiulin NIU Guoqing YANG Wenhui LIU Qian LIU 2019Mechanical Engineering Science2019,1,2:0
14Theranostic Gold Nanoclusters for NIR-II Imaging and Photodynamic Therapy显示文摘Fluorescence imaging in the second near-infrared window(NIR-II,1000―1700 nm)has demonstrated tremendous promise for biomedical applications,with its extraordinarily high resolution and deep tissue penetration.Ultrasmall gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)have shown unique features for NIR-II imaging,such as photostability and biocompatibility,as compared to organic NIR-II molecules or other inorganic NIR-II nanoparticles.Here,we report the first-in-class protein-capped ultrasmall AuNCs(BSA-AuNCs,BSA=bovine serum albumin)for simultaneous NIR-II imaging and photodynamic therapy.The BSA-AuNCs show a uniform size,high quantum yield and excellent photostability,display a high accumulation and long retention in 4T1 tumor,and are used for clear imaging of blood vessels and lymph nodes.Moreover,laser irradiation of these AuNCs can rapidly trigger ROS generation,leading to effective inhibition of tumor cell growth in vitro and in vivo.This study demonstrates the feasibility of a protein-capped ultrasmall AuNCs platform for theranostic applications by combining NIR-II imaging and photodynamic cancer therapy.TANG Lin ZENG Xiaodong ZHOU Hui GUI Conghao LUO Qiulin ZHOU Wenyi WU Jing LI Qianqian LI Yang XIAO Yuling 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,4:0

16Quantitative Trait Loci(QTL)Mapping and Marker Analysis of Fatty Acids in Peanut显示文摘Peanut,with high oil content,has been a major oil and food crop globally.The compositions of the fatty acids are the common factors in determining the oil quality.In the present study,an F2 segregated population with 140 individuals derived from the cross of Weihua8(a cultivar)and 12L49(a line with high oleic acid concentration)was used to construct a genetic map and conduct QTL mapping analysis.A total of 103 polymorphic SSR primers were utilized for genotyping the RILs and finally generating the SSR loci.Within the 103 SSR loci,a genetic linkage map,covering a total length of 3592.35 cM of the whole peanut genome,was constructed.Based on the genetic map,sixteen QTLs located on nine linkage groups related to peanut fatty acids were finally identified.Among them,four QTLs were detected associated with various traits simultaneously,which showed genetic stability in relation to fatty acids of peanut.Except for the QTLs for oleic acid,linoleic acid,and linolenic acid,three novel QTLs for arachidic acid and behenic acid were also detected.These QTLs might be helpful for further fine mapping analysis and marker-assisted selection of fatty acids in peanut.Xiao Han Songnan Yang Xueying Li Qiulin Wu Yongyi Xing Jun Zhang Fenglou Ling 2023Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2023,92,9:0
17Preparation of Iron-Pillared Bentonite/Oyster Shell Composite and Phosphate Adsorption in Water显示文摘Iron-pillared bentonite(FB)was prepared by Fe(III)modified bentonite,and then the composites(FB-OS)were prepared by iron-pillared bentonite and oyster shell powder.The composites were characterized by FTIR,SEM,TGA,and EDS,and the phosphorus removal test was carried out.The results showed that FB-OS contained a large amount of CaO.Its structure was compact,but there were gaps in it.The maximum bending stress and compressive strength were 43.7 N and 0.927 MPa,respectively.The phosphorus removal test showed that the phosphorus removal rate of FB-OS was more than 90%,and measured the maximum adsorption capacity was 48.31 mg/g.A large amount of spherical products were produced on the surface and inside of FB-OS after phos-phorus removal,it was speculated that spherical products were amorphous calcium phosphate in the paper.Ana-lysis indicated that there was chemical adsorption during phosphorus removal.The kinetic equation of phosphorus adsorption by FB-OS was qt=10:193t/1+2:574t (R^(2)=0.995).The adsorption rate was mainly controlled by outerfilm diffusion and intraparticle diffusion.Zhijian Zhou Jie Yan Xinxiang Du Qiulin Xu Zijun Wu Jinlan Yang Xitong Fang Qiuling Zhong Qiaoguang Li 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,9:0
