| 1 | Physical characteristics of Chinese Hakka显示文摘Using standard and internationally validated methods,86 anthropologic characteristics were determined in 650 male(305 from urban areas and 345 from rural areas) and 704 female(331 from urban areas,373 from rural areas) Chinese Hakka adults living in Guangdong and Jiangxi.The data were used to calculate 24 anthropologic indices,which were analyzed statistically.The physical characteristics of Hakka subjects were analyzed and compared with reference ethnic data.There were four main findings of this study.First,a small proportion of Hakka adults had an eye fold on the upper eyelid,but a large proportion had a mongoloid fold.The eye slits were narrow in most adults,had a medium nasal root height and straight bridges,and most of the external angles were prominent.The nasal base was upturned in most men.The distributions of the three types of nasal base in women were similar.The proportions of subjects with middle and high alae nasi heights were high and similar.Males with a maximum nostril diameter were mostly classified as transverse and oblique,while many women were classified as transverse and had relatively wide alae nasi.The round lobe type was the most common.Upper lip skin height was mostly classified as medium.Lips were classified as thin.The hair was black,eyes were brown,and the skin was yellowish.Second,the head length was long in male Hakka.The minimum frontal breadth,face breadth,lip height,and interocular breadth were similar to those of North-Asian populations.Meanwhile,head breadth,morphological facial height,nose breadth,mouth breadth,and nose height were similar to those of South-Asian populations.Head length was long in female Hakka.The minimum frontal breadth,face breadth,lip height,and interocular breadth were similar to those of North-Asian populations.Head breadth,nose breadth,and mouth breadth were similar to those of South-Asian populations.Third,the stature of male and female Hakka in urban and rural areas was classified as medium.The proportions of male and female Hakka classified as mesocephaly(length-breadth index of the head),hypsicephalic type,metriocephalic type(breadth-height index of the head) mesorrhiny,long trunk,subbrachyskelic type,broad shoulder breadth,and narrow distance between iliac crests were higher than those of other types.Finally,principal component analyses showed that the physical characteristics of Hakka were between those of South-Asian and North-Asian ethnic populations,but were generally closer to those of North-Asian populations in China. | ZHENG LianBin LI YongLan LU ShunHua BAO JinPing WANG Yang ZHANG XiaoRui XUE Hong RONG WenGuo | 2013 | Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,6: | 13 |

| 7 | Overexpressing dominant-negative FGFR2-IIIb impedes lung branching morphogenesis in pigs显示文摘Genetic studies with mouse models have shown that fibroblast growth factor receptor 2-IIIb(FGFR2-IIIb)plays crucial roles in lung development and differentiation. To evaluate the effect of FGFR2-IIIb in pig lung development, we employed somatic cell nuclear transfer(SCNT) technology to generate transgenic pig fetuses overexpressing the transmembrane(dn FGFR2-IIIb-Tm) and soluble(dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc) forms of the dominant-negative human FGFR2-IIIb driven by the human surfactant protein C(SP-C) promoter,which was specifically expressed in lung epithelia. Eight dn FGFR2-IIIb-Tm transgenic and twelve dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc transgenic pig fetuses were collected from three and two recipient sows, respectively.Repression of FGFR2-IIIb in lung epithelia resulted in smaller lobes and retardation of alveolarization in both forms of dn FGFR2-IIIb transgenic fetuses. Moreover, the dn FGFR2-IIIb-HFc transgenic ones showed more deterioration in lung development. Our results demonstrate that disruption of FGFR2-IIIb signaling in the epithelium impedes normal branching and alveolarization in pig lungs, which is less severe than the results observed in transgenic mice. | 14 | Deployment and Exploration of a Gas Storage Well Pattern Based on the Threshold Radius显示文摘To tackle the problem that wells that are deployed in a specific pattern based on the requirements of gas reservoir development are not suitable for gas storage,we have conducted concentrically circular injection and production simulation experiments for gas storage,discovered the existence of a threshold radius,denoted by Rt,and derived the expression for Rt.Based on the analysis and discussion results,we propose a strategy for deploying gas storage wells in specific patterns.The expression for Rt shows that it is affected by factors such as the gas storage gas production/injection time,the upper pressure limit,the lower pressure limit,the bottomhole flow pressure at the ends of injection and production,the and permeability.The analysis and discussion results show that the Rt of a gas storage facility is much smaller than the Rt for gas reservoir development.In the gas storage facilities in China,the Rt for gas production is less than the Rt for the gas injection,and Rt increases with the difference in the operating pressure and with permeability K.Based on the characteristics of Rt,we propose three suggestions for gas storage well pattern deployment:(1)calculate Rt according to the designed functions of the gas storage facility and deploy the well pattern according to Rt;(2)deploy sparser,large-wellbore patterns in high-permeability areas and denser,small-wellbore patterns in high-permeability areas;and(3)achieve the gas injection well pattern by new drilling,and the gas production well pattern through a combination of the gas injection well pattern and old wells.By assessing a gas storage facility with a perfect well pattern after a number of adjustments,we found that the Rt of the 12 wells calculated in this paper is basically close to the corresponding actual radius,which validates our method.The results of this study provide a methodological basis for well pattern deployment in new gas storage construction. | TANG Ligen ZHU Weiyao ZHU Huayin SUN Chunhui YANG Fenglai WANG Yan Li Xiaorui Li Haiming CHU Guangzhen WANG Jieming KONG Debin YUE Ming LIU Yuwei HUANG Kun | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,2: | 1 |
| 15 | Brassinosteroids regulate outer ovule integument growth in part via the control of INNER NO OUTER by BRASSINOZOLE‐RESISTANT family transcription factors显示文摘Brassinosteroids(BRs)play important roles in regulating plant reproductive processes.BR signaling or BR biosynthesis null mutants do not produce seeds under natural conditions,but the molecular mechanism underlying this infertility is poorly understood.In this study,we report that outer integument growth and embryo sac development were impaired in the ovules of the Arabidopsis thaliana BR receptor null mutant bri1-116.Gene expression and RNA-seq analyses showed that the expression of INNER NO OUTER(INO),an essential regulator of outer integument growth,was significantly reduced in the bri1-116 mutant.Increased INO expression due to overexpression or increased transcriptional activity of BRASSINAZOLE-RESISTANT 1(BZR1)in the mutant alleviated the outer integument growth defect in bri1-116 ovules,suggesting that BRs regulate outer integument growth partially via BZR1-mediated transcriptional regulation of INO.Meanwhile,INO expression in bzr-h,a null mutant for all BZR1 family genes,was barely detectable;and the outer integument of bzr-h ovules had much more severe growth defects than those of the bri1-116 mutant.Together,our findings establish a new role for BRs in regulating ovule development and suggest that BZR1 family transcription factors might regulate outer integument growth through both BRI1-dependent and BRI1-independent pathways. | Dandan Jia Lian-Ge Chen Guimin Yin Xiaorui Yang Zhihua Gao Yi Guo Yu Sun Wenqiang Tang | 2020 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,8: | 1 |
