1Effects of Cu,Fe and Co addition on the glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of Zr-Al-Ni bulk metallic glasses显示文摘The thermal stability,glass-forming ability(GFA) and mechanical properties of Zr60Al15Ni25xTMx(TM = Cu,Fe and Co,x = 0-10) bulk metallic glasses(BMGs) were systematically investigated.Additional 5-10 at.% Cu greatly enhances the thermal stability and GFA of the base alloy.Zr60Al15Ni15Cu10 BMG exhibits the largest supercooled liquid region of 104 K and critical diameter of 18 mm.However,addition of 5-10 at.% Fe or Co decrease the thermal stability and GFA.In addition,the plasticity of the BMG can be improved by adding of Cu,while the strength is decreased slightly.Zr60Al15Ni20Cu5 BMG has the largest plastic strain of 5.5% with a yield stress of 1755 MPa and Young's modulus of 83 GPa.Addition of Co brings an increase of strength but a lower of plasticity,and additional Fe reduces the strength and plasticity simultaneously.LI YanHui ZHANG Wei DONG Chuang AKIHIRO Makino 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,12:19

4Optimization on cooperative feed strategy for radial–axial ring rolling process of Inco718 alloy by RSM and FEM显示文摘During radial–axial ring rolling process,cooperative strategy of the radial–axial feed is critical for dimensional accuracy and thermo mechanical parameters distribution of the formed ring.In order to improve the comprehensive quality of the ring parts,response surface method(RSM) is employed for the first time to optimize the cooperative feed strategy for radial–axial ring rolling process by combining it with an improved and verified 3D coupled thermo-mechanical finite element model.The feed trajectory is put forward to describe cooperative relationship of the radial–axial feed and three variables are designed based on the feed trajectory.In order to achieve multiobjective optimization,four responses including thermo mechanical parameters distribution and rolling force are proposed.Based on the FEM results,RSM is used to establish a response model to depict the function relationship between the objective response and design variables.Through this approximate model,effects of different variables on ring rolling process are analyzed connectedly and optimal feed strategy is obtained by resorting to the optimal chart specific to a constraint condition.Zhu Xinglin Liu Dong Yang Yanhui Hu Yang Zheng Yong 2016Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3:7

6Water yield reduction due to forestation in arid mountainous regions, northwest China显示文摘Forestation has been encouraged worldwide due to increasing demand for forest products, and for its ecological benefits such as soil erosion control and sediment reduction. However, forestation reduces runoff, thus potentially aggravating water shortages in arid regions. In order to quantitatively estimate the possible water yield reductions caused by forestation in an arid region, a small watershed (the Pailugou watershed) in the Qilian Mountains of northwest China was chosen as a study area. The responses of hydrological dynamics to different forestation scenarios in the study area were simulated using the TOPOG model. The results showed that forestation could lead to a complete loss of runoff at the site scale. At the watershed scale, a 10% increase in forest coverage led to a runoff reduction of 25.6 mm, equivalent to 13% of the runoffin the un-forested watershed. However, due to climatological and topographical constraints, the potential forest distribution occupied only 46.3% of the watershed area, and runoff reduction was estimated to reach a maximum of 60% when the forest cover ratio increased from 0.41% to 46.1%. Actual forest coverage is 36% in the study area, thus the water yield will be reduced with any further increase in forest area. 8Mantle melting beneath the Southwest Indian Ridge: signals from clinopyroxene in abyssal peridotites显示文摘The mineral chemistry and texture of clinopyroxenes in peridotite from the Kingkong tectonic zone of the Southwest Indian Ridge segment in an effort to constrain mantle melting beneath this slow-spreading ridge are reported.There are three types of clinopyroxenes in the abyssal peridotites:coarse-grained,intergranular and exsolved.The compositional variations among these three types suggest that the coarse-grained clinopyroxene is a mantle-derived source.The Al,Na and Ti contents and the Na/Ti ratio of the coarsegrained clinopyroxene may be used to monitor the degree of partial melting,combined with the contradistinction with Spinel Cr#,which is calculated to be between 7.9%and 14.9%,and may represent low degrees of melting in the global ocean ridge system.The along-axis compositional variations in the coarse-grained clinopyroxene suggest that the degree of partial melting is primarily controlled by the transform faults on both sides of the ridge.Nonetheless,the northwestern side of the ridge may be affected by a hypothesised detachment fault as documented by the calculated P-T conditions.Simultaneously high Na and low Ti contents in the coarse-grained clinopyroxene points to mantle heterogeneities along the ridge axis.WANG Wei CHU Fengyou ZHU Jihao DONG Yanhui YU Xing CHEN Ling LI Zhenggang 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,12:2
9Geochemical characteristics of platinum-group elements in polymetallic nodules from the Northwest Pacific Ocean显示文摘Polymetallic nodules and cobalt (Co)-rich crusts are enriched in platinum-group elements (PGEs),especially platinum (Pt) and may be important sinks of PGEs.At present,little information is available on PGEs in polymetallic nodules,and their geochemical characteristics and the causes of PGEs enrichment are unclear.Here PGEs of polymetallic nodules from abyssal basin in the Marcus-Wake Seamount area of the Northwest Pacific Ocean are reported and compared with the published PGEs data of polymetallic nodules and Co-rich crusts in the Pacific.The total PGEs (ΣPGE) content of polymetallic nodules in study area is 258×10^–9) in average,markedly higher than that of Clarion-Clipperton Zone (CCZ) nodules (ΣPGE=127×10^–9) and lower than that of Co-rich crusts in the Marcus-Wake Seamount (ΣPGE=653×10^–9),similar to that of Co-rich crusts in the South China Sea(ΣPGE=252×10^~–9).The CI chondrite-normalized PGEs patterns in different regions of polymetallic nodules and cobalt-rich crusts are highly consistent,with all being characterized by positive Pt and negative Pd anomalies These results,together with those of previous studies,indicate that PGEs in polymetallic nodules and Co-rich crusts are mainly derived directly from seawater.Pt contents of polymetallic nodules from the study area are negatively correlated with water depth,and Pt/ΣPGE ratios in nodules there are also lower than those of the Corich crusts in the adjacent area,indicating that sedimentary water depth and oxygen fugacity of ambient seawater are the possible important controlling factors for Pt accumulation in crusts and nodules.Zhongrong Qiu Yanhui Dong Weilin Ma Weiyan Zhang Kehong Yang Hongqiao Zhao 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,8:2
10Geochemistry and age of seamounts in the West Pacific: mantle processes and petrogenetic implications显示文摘Research on seamounts provides some of the best constraints for understanding intraplate volcanism, and samples from seamounts reveal crucial evidence about the geochemical makeup of the oceanic mantle. There are still many seamounts in the West Pacific Seamount Province(WPSP) that have not been studied, meaning their ages and geochemistry remain unknown. A better understanding of these seamount trails and their evolutionary history, investigated with age and geochemistry data, will enable better understanding of the geological processes operating underneath the Pacific Ocean Plate. Here, new ^(40)Ar/^(39) Ar ages and trace element and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopic data for seven basalt rocks from four seamounts in the WPSP are provided. Chemically, these rocks are all Oceanic Island Alkali basalt(OIA type); analysis of olivine phenocrysts shows that the magmas experienced strong olivine fractionation and changed from olivine + plagioclase to olivine + plagioclase + clinopyroxene cotectic during their evolution. Rare earth element(REE) patterns and a spider diagram of the samples in this study show OIB(Ocean Island Basalt) like behavior. The range of ^(87)Sr/^(86) Sr values is from 0.704 60 to 0.706 24, the range of ^(206)Pb/^(204) Pb values is from 18.241 to 18.599, and the range of ^(143)Nd/^(144) Nd values is from 0.512 646 to 0.512 826; together, these values indicate magma sources ranging from EMI to EMII. 15Numerical modeling of the regional ground water flow in Beishan area, Gansu Province显示文摘The characterization of the regional ground water flow system is very important to high-level radioactive waste geological disposal. The Beishan area, located in northwestern Gansu Province, China, is selected as a potential site for disposal repository. The area includes about 100000 km2 and has complicated hydrogeological conditions, which greatly increase the computational effort of regional ground water flow models. In order to reduce computing time, parallel computing scheme was applied to regional ground water flow simulation. Models with over one million cells were used to simulate how the faults and different recharge conditions impact regional ground water flow, both in steady and transient state.
