1Water yield reduction due to forestation in arid mountainous regions, northwest China显示文摘Forestation has been encouraged worldwide due to increasing demand for forest products, and for its ecological benefits such as soil erosion control and sediment reduction. However, forestation reduces runoff, thus potentially aggravating water shortages in arid regions. In order to quantitatively estimate the possible water yield reductions caused by forestation in an arid region, a small watershed (the Pailugou watershed) in the Qilian Mountains of northwest China was chosen as a study area. The responses of hydrological dynamics to different forestation scenarios in the study area were simulated using the TOPOG model. The results showed that forestation could lead to a complete loss of runoff at the site scale. At the watershed scale, a 10% increase in forest coverage led to a runoff reduction of 25.6 mm, equivalent to 13% of the runoffin the un-forested watershed. However, due to climatological and topographical constraints, the potential forest distribution occupied only 46.3% of the watershed area, and runoff reduction was estimated to reach a maximum of 60% when the forest cover ratio increased from 0.41% to 46.1%. Actual forest coverage is 36% in the study area, thus the water yield will be reduced with any further increase in forest area. 2Invasion Possibility and Potential Effects of Rhus typhina on Beijing Municipality显示文摘Rhus typhina,an alien species introduced from North America,was identified as a main afforestation species in Beijing municipality. However,its invasiveness is still at odds. To clarify this problem,we applied the North American Screening System and the Australian Screening System to preliminarily predict its invasion possibility. Both screening systems gave the same recommendation to 'reject'. The geographical distribution was surveyed,with the population features of R. typhina against the native plant communities being assessed. With anthropogenic assistance,R. typhina has been scattered on almost all habitats from downtown to mountains,including roadsides,farmlands and protected areas. As a clonal shrub,R. typhina possessed a high spreading rate,varying from 6.3m/3years at sterile habitats to 6.7m/3years at fertile ones. Significantly lower species richness,individual density and diversity were observed in the R. typhina community than those of the native Vitex negundo Linn.var. heterophylla (Franch.) Rehd. community at both sterile and fertile habitats. Continual wide plantation of R. typhina may further foster its population expansion,which helps the species to overcome spatial isolation. The fact that each root fragment can develop into a new individual makes R. typhina very difficult to be eradicated once established. From a biological point of view,we believe that R. typhina is a plant invader in Beijing. 3QTL mapping and QTL × environment interaction analysis of multi-seed pod in cultivated peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.)显示文摘To dissect the genetic mechanism of multi-seed pod in peanut, we explored the QTL/gene controlling multi-seed pod and analyzed the interaction effect of QTL and environment. Two hundred and forty eight recombinant inbred lines(RIL) from cross Silihong × Jinonghei 3 were used as experimental materials planted in 8 environments from 2012 to 2017. Three methods of analysis were performed. These included individual environment analysis, joint analysis in multiple environments, and epistatic interaction analysis for multi-seed pod QTL. Phenotypic data and best linear unbiased prediction(BLUP) value of the ratio of multi-seed pods per plant(RMSP) were used for QTL mapping. Seven QTL detected by the individual environmental mapping analysis and were distributed on linkage groups 1, 6, 9, 14, 19(2), and 21. Each QTL explained 4.42%–11.51% of the phenotypic variation in multi-seed pod, and synergistic alleles of5 QTL were from the Silihong parent. One QTL, explaining 4.93% of the phenotypic variation was detected using BLUP data, and this QTL mapped in the same interval as q RMSP19.1 detected in the individual environment analysis. Seventeen additive QTL were identified by joint analysis across multiple environments. A total of 43 epistatic QTL were detected by ICIM-EPI mapping in the multiple environment trials(MET) module, and involved 57 loci. Two main-effect QTL related to multi-seed pod in peanut were filtered. We also found that RMSP had a highly significant positive correlation with pod yield per plant(PY), and epistatic effects were much more important than additive effects. 4Visible light photocatalytic decoloration of methylene blue on novel N-doped TiO_2显示文摘Novel N-doped TiO2 (denoted as N-NTA600) was prepared by treating nanotube titanic acid (NTA) in NH3 flow. Its visible light photocatalytic activity,evaluated by decoloration reaction of methylene blue,is higher than that of N-P25(600) prepared by treatment of P25-TiO2 in the same condition. 6Study on sintering process and characteristic of nanosized soft magnetic MnZn ferrite powders显示文摘The effect of sintering process (especially the sintering temperature) on the magnetic property and microstructure of sintered sample of nanosized soft magnetic MnZn ferrite powder was investigated. The sintered sample of MnZn ferrite was prepared by both traditional pressing and cool isostatic pressing on MnZn ferrite nanoparticals. The sintering process of which was segmented. The density, microstructure and phase composition of sintered sample were analyzed by Archimedes′law, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The grain growth and densification in sintering process of MnZn ferrite were investigated. The magnetic property was measured by vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and Nim2000 magnetic material testing system. 7Progress on grain growth dynamics in sintering of nano-powders显示文摘Nanostructured materials, characterized by an ultrafine grain size, have stimulated much research interest by virtue of their unusual mechanical, electrical, optical, and magnetic properties. In this paper, the sintering process of nano-powders were reviewed, to which sintering of the traditional materials compared. The microstructural development, i.e., grain growth and densification during sintering as well as the mechanism of crystal surface diffusion and boundary migration were analyzed, and the dynamic models on sintering process were summarized by the relationship of grain growth and pores size, interface diffusion, densification rate, and sintering temperature. 8Hydrogels for bone organoid construction:From a materiobiological perspective显示文摘Bone organoids,which simulate and construct special organs in vitro with complex biological func-tions based on tissue engineering technology,provide dramatically realistic models for bone regenerative medicine development and lay the foundation for a new therapeutic strategy.The matrix microenviron-ment around tissues and cells plays a key role in the physiological functions and phenotypes of bone organoids.Traditionally,the commercially available Matrigel has been widely applied for organoid cul-tures.However,Matrigel is still facing challenges,including xenogenous origins and variable composi-tion.To address these issues,newly developed hydrogels become an appropriate candidate to alternate Matrigel for bone organoid culture.In this review,we summarized the development and limitations of ECM-based matrix(Matrigel)in the bone organoid cultures.Then we highlighted various hydrogel al-ternatives,including PEG,collagen,alginate,gelatin,chitosan,skin fibroin,and DNA derivative hydrogels,which have shown a promising application in bone tissue engineering and organoid cultures.Additionally,the effects of material properties(stiffness,viscoelasticity,charge,et al.)in hydrogels on cell culture and bone organoid culture were deeply investigated.Finally,we predicted that hydrogel-based biomaterials have a great potential for the construction and application of bone organoids.Shunli Wu Xianmin Wu Xiuhui Wang Jiacan Su 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,5:2
9Nanoparticle‑Loaded Polarized‑Macrophages for Enhanced Tumor Targeting and Cell‑Chemotherapy显示文摘Cell therapy is a promising strategy for cancer therapy.However,its therapeutic efficiency remains limited due to the complex and immunosuppressive nature of tumor microenvironments.In this study,the“cell-chemotherapy”strategy was presented to enhance antitumor efficacy.M1-type macrophages,which are therapeutic immune cells with both of immunotherapeutic ability and targeting ability,carried sorafenib(SF)-loaded lipid nanoparticles(M1/SLNPs)were developed.M1-type macrophages were used both as therapeutic tool to provide immunotherapy and as delivery vessel to target deliver SF to tumor tissues for chemotherapy simultaneously.M1-type macrophages were obtained by polarizing macrophages using lipopolysaccharide,and M1/SLNPs were obtained by incubating M1-type macrophages with SLNP.Tumor accumulation of M1/SLNP was increased compared with SLNP(p<0.01),which proved M1/SLNP could enhance tumor targeting of SF.An increased ratio of M1-type macrophages to M2-type macrophages,and the CD3^+CD4^+T cells and CD3^+CD8^+T cell quantities in tumor tissues after treatment with M1/SLNP indicated M1/SLNP could relieve the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments.The tumor volumes in the M1/SLNP group were significantly smaller than those in the SLNP group(p<0.01),indicating M1/SLNP exhibited enhanced antitumor efficacy.Consequently,M1/SLNP showed great potential as a novel cellchemotherapeutic strategy combining both cell therapy and targeting chemotherapy.Teng Hou Tianqi Wang Weiwei Mu Rui Yang Shuang Liang Zipeng Zhang Shunli Fu Tong Gao Yongjun Liu Na Zhang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,1:1

11Genetic diversity and relatedness analysis of nine wild species of tree peony based on simple sequence repeats markers显示文摘Tree peony has nine wild species,but the evolutionary relationship of them is still unclear.Here,a total of 274 specimens from 22 natural populations of nine wild species were collected,and their genetic diversity and similarity was analyzed based on Simple Sequence Repeats(SSR)molecular markers.A total of 106 alleles were generated based on 20 primers and with an average of 5.3 alleles per primer.Shannon’s information index(I)ranged from 0.6333 to 1.7842,and the average of Nei’s genetic diversity coefficient(H)was 0.5771.Polymorphism Information Content(PIC)value varied from 0.29 to 0.77,ten of these primers had high polymorphism(PIC≥0.50).All the above genetic parameters of primers reflect more rich genetic diversity information compared with other researches using SSR molecular markers to study the genetic diversity of tree peony wild species.At the population level,the lowest and highest degree of genetic diversity occurred in Paeonia ludlowii-P1 and P.delavayi-P3 population,respectively.Whereas at species level,the genetic diversity of 9 wild peony species was as follows:P.lutea>P.delavayi>P.rockii>P.qiui>P.ostii>P.decomposita>P.potaninii>P.spontanea>P.ludlowii.Furthermore,cluster analysis at species level divided the nine wild tree peony species into two branches.In branch I,the closest phylogenetic relationship was found between P.ostii and P.rockii,followed by P.spontanea,P.qiui,and P.decomposita.In branch II,the closest relationship occurred between P.lutea and P.delavayi,followed by P.potaninii and P.ludlowii.Clustering results supported the division of tree peonies into two subsects(Delavayanae and Vaginatae),it also supported P.potaninii and P.ludlowii as independent species.The results provided novel insight into the genetic diversity and phylogenetic relationship of nine wild tree peony species.It will help formulate comprehensive protection measures of wild germplasm resources and select proper parents for distant hybridization in the future.Yuqian Xue Rong Liu Jingqi Xue Shunli Wang Xiuxin Zhang 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,6:1

16Parameter uncertainty and identifiability of a conceptual semi-distributed model to simulate hydrological processes in a small headwater catchment in Northwest China显示文摘Introduction:Conceptual hydrological models are useful tools to support catchment water management.However,the identifiability of parameters and structural uncertainties in conceptual rainfall-runoff modeling prove to be a difficult task.Here,we aim to evaluate the performance of a conceptual semi-distributed rainfall-runoff model,HBV-light,with emphasis on parameter identifiability,uncertainty,and model structural validity.Results:The results of a regional sensitivity analysis(RSA)show that most of the model parameters are highly sensitive when runoff signatures or combinations of different objective functions are used.Results based on the generalized likelihood uncertainty estimation(GLUE)method further show that most of the model parameters are well constrained,showing higher parameter identifiability and lower model uncertainty when runoff signatures or combined objective functions are used.Finally,the dynamic identifiability analysis(DYNIA)shows different types of parameter behavior and reveals that model parameters have a higher identifiability in periods where they play a crucial role in representing the predicted runoff.Conclusions:The HBV-light model is generally able to simulate the runoff in the Pailugou catchment with an acceptable accuracy.Model parameter sensitivity is largely dependent upon the objective function used for the model evaluation in the sensitivity analysis.More frequent runoff observations would substantially increase the knowledge on the rainfall-runoff transformation in the catchment and,specifically,improve the distinction of fast surface-near runoff and interflow components in their contribution to the total catchment runoff.Our results highlight the importance of identifying the periods when intensive monitoring is critical for deriving parameter values of reduced uncertainty.Shuai Ouyang Heike Puhlmann Shunli Wang Klaus von Wilpert Osbert Jianxin Sun 2014Ecological Processes2014,3,1:1
