| 1 | High-resolution, in vivo multimodal photoacoustic microscopy, optical coherence tomography, and fluorescence microscopy imaging of rabbit retinal neovascularization显示文摘Photoacoustic microscopy(PAM)is an emerging imaging technology that can non-invasively visualize ocular structures in animal eyes.This report describes an integrated multimodality imaging system that combines PAM,optical coherence tomography(OCT),and fluorescence microscopy(FM)to evaluate angiogenesis in larger animal eyes.High-resolution in vivo imaging was performed in live rabbit eyes with vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)-induced retinal neovascularization(RNV).The results demonstrate that our multimodality imaging system can noninvasively visualize RNV in both albino and pigmented rabbits to determine retinal pathology using PAM and OCT and verify the leakage of neovascularization using FM and fluorescein dye.This work presents high-resolution visualization of angiogenesis in rabbits using a multimodality PAM,OCT,and FM system and may represent a major step toward the clinical translation of the technology. | Wei Zhang Yanxiu Li Van Phuc Nguyen Ziyi Huang Zhipeng Liu Xueding Wang Yannis M.Paulus | 2018 | Light(Science & Applications)2018,7,1: | 7 |
| 2 | Evaluation of COC183B2 antibody targeting ovarian cancer by near-infrared fluorescence imaging显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the imaging potential of a novel near-infrared(NIR) probe conjugated to COC183 B2 monoclonal antibodies(MAb) in ovarian cancer(OC).Methods: The expression of OC183 B2 antigen in OC was determined by immunohistochemical(IHC) staining using tissue microarrays with the H-score system and immunofluorescence(IF) staining of tumor cell lines.Imaging probes with the NIR fluorescent dye cyanine 7(Cy7) conjugated to COC183 B2 Mab were chemically engineered. OC183 B2-positive human OC cells(SKOV3-Luc) were injected subcutaneously into BALB/c nude mice. Bioluminescent imaging(BLI) was performed to detect tumor location and growth. COC183 B2-Cy7 at 1.1,3.3, 10, or 30 μg were used for in vivo fluorescence imaging, and phosphate-buffered saline(PBS), free Cy7 dye and mouse isotype immunoglobulin G(IgG)-Cy7(delivered at the same doses as COC183 B2-Cy7) were used as controls.Results: The expression of OC183 B2 with a high H-score was more prevalent in OC tissue than fallopian tube(FT) tissue. Among 417 OC patients, the expression of OC183 B2 was significantly correlated with the histological subtype, histological grade, residual tumor size, relapse state and survival status. IF staining demonstrated that COC183 B2 specifically expressed in SKOV3 cells but not HeLa cells. In vivo NIR fluorescence imaging indicated that COC183 B2-Cy7 was mainly distributed in the xenograft and liver with optimal tumor-to-background(T/B)ratios in the xenograft at 30 μg dose. The highest fluorescent signals in the tumor were observed at 96 h postinjection(hpi). Ex vivo fluorescence imaging revealed the fluorescent signals mainly from the tumor and liver. | 3 | Estimate of NO_X production in the lightning channel based on three-dimensional lightning locating system显示文摘Based on the VHF lightning locating system,a three-dimensional-space cell-gridded approach is used to extract the lighting channel and calculate the length of the channel.Through clustering of the located radiation sources and then extracting the lightning channel,it can accurately obtain the length of the channel.To validate the feasibility of the approach,a simulation experiment is designed,and it shows the length error is no more than 10%.The relationship between the NO production of per unit arc length and atmospheric pressure obtained in laboratory is applied to the NOX production of per unit flash length at different altitudes in this paper.The channel length and the NOX production of 11 negative cloud-to-ground flashes and 59 intracloud flashes in an isolated thunderstorm in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are calculated.The results show that the average channel lengths of per cloud-to-ground and intracloud flash are 28.9 and 22.3 km respectively;the average NOX productions of per cloud-to-ground and intracloud flash are 1.89×1025 and 0.42×1025 molecules,respectively. | ZHANG Rong ZHANG GuangShu LI YaJun WANG YanHui WU Bin YU Hai LIU YanXiu | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,7: | 4 |
| 4 | Experimental study on location accuracy of a 3D VHF lightning-radiation-source locating network显示文摘This paper reports the investigation of the location accuracy of a three-dimensional(3D) lightning-radiation-source locating system using sounding balloon measurements. By comparing the information from the balloon-borne VHF transmitter flight path and locations using simple geometric models, the location uncertainties of sources both over and outside the network were estimated. For radiation sources inside the network and below an altitude of 7 km, the horizontal uncertainty was 12–48 m and the total mean value was 21 m(rms), and the vertical uncertainty was 20–78 m and the total mean value was 49 m(rms). Outside the network, the location uncertainties increased with distance. The geometric model showed that range and altitude errors increased as a function of the range squared whereas the range errors increased parabolically with distance, and that was confirmed by the covariance calculation results. The standard deviation was used inside the network and covariance was used outside the network. The results indicated that location errors from a simple geometric model exhibited good agreement with standard experimental data. The geometry of the network, set of measurements, and calculation method were verified as suitable. The chi-square values of the least squares goodness of fit algorithm were verified and the timing error(?trms) of the fitting formula was estimated. | 5 | High-resolution structure-from-motion models covering 160 km-long surface ruptures of the 2021 M_(W)7.4 Madoi earthquake in northern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The May 222021 M_(W)7.4 Madoi,Qinghai,China earthquake presented a rare opportunity to apply the modern unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)photography method in extreme altitude and weather conditions to image surface ruptures and near-field effects of earthquake-related surface deformations in the remote Tibet.High-resolution aerial photographs were acquired in the days immediately following the mainshock.The complex surface rupture patterns associated with this event were covered comprehensively at 3-6 cm resolution.This effort represents the first time that an earthquake rupture in the interior of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau has been fully and systematically captured by such high-resolution imagery,with an unprecedented level of detail,over its entire length.The dataset has proven valuable in documenting subtle and transient rupture features,such as the significant mole-tracks and opening fissures,which were ubiquitous coseismically but degraded during the subsequent summer storm season.Such high-quality imagery also helps to document with high fidelity the fractures of the surface rupture zone(supplements of this paper),the pattern related to how the faults ruptured to the ground surface,and the distribution of off-fault damage.In combination with other ground-based mapping efforts,the data will be analyzed in the following months to better understand the mechanics of earthquake rupture related to the fault zone rheology,rupture dynamics,and frictional properties along with the fault interface. | Jing Liu-Zeng Wenqian Yao Xiaoli Liu Yanxiu Shao Wenxin Wang Longfei Han Yan Wang Xianyang Zeng Jinyang Li Zijun Wang Zhijun Liu Hongwei Tu | 2022 | Earthquake Research Advances2022,2,2: | 3 |

| 10 | Role of circulating long non-coding RNA for the improvement of the predictive ability of the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score in patients with atrial fibrillation显示文摘Background:The CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score was initially applied to stratify stroke risk in patients with atrial fibrillation(AF)and was found to be effective in predicting all-cause mortality outcomes.To date,it is still unclear whether circulating long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)as emerging biomarkers,can improve the predictive power of the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score in stroke and all-cause mortality.Methods:Candidate lncRNAs were screened by searching the literature and analyzing previous RNA sequencing results.After preliminary verification in 29 patients with AF,the final selected lncRNAs were evaluated by Cox proportional hazards regression in 192 patients to determine whether their relative expression levels were associated with stroke and all-cause mortality.The c-statistic,net reclassification improvement(NRI),and integrated discrimination improvement of the patients were calculated to evaluate the discrimination and reclassification power for stroke and all-cause mortality when adding lncRNA expression levels to the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score model.Results:Five plasma lncRNAs associated with stroke and all-cause mortality in AF patients were selected in our screening process.Patients with elevated H19 levels were found to have a higher risk of stroke(hazard ratio[HR]3.264,95% confidence interval[CI]:1.364–7.813,P=0.008).Adding the H19 expression level to the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score significantly improved the discrimination and reclassification power of the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score for stroke in AF patients.In addition,the H19 level showed a marginally significant association with all-cause mortality(HR 2.263,95%CI:0.889–5.760,P=0.087),although it appeared to have no significant improvement for the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc model for predicting all-cause mortality.Conclusions:Plasma expression of H19 was associated with stroke risk in AF patients and improved the discriminatory power of the CHA_(2)DS_(2)-VASc score.Therefore,lncRNA H19 served as an emerging non-invasive biomarker for stroke risk prediction in patients with AF. | Yuanbo Zhang Duan Wang Na Wu Xinghua Chen Zhiquan Yuan Xiaoyue Jia Chengying Li Qin Hu Yanxiu Chen Zhihui Zhang Li Zhong Yafei Li | 2022 | Chinese Medical Journal2022,,12: | 0 |

| 13 | The Establishment of Immunochemistry Test Based on a Synthetic Peptide Antibody for the Detection of a Porcine Circovirus-Like Virus P1显示文摘Recently, a novel porcine circovirus-like virus P1 with a circular DNA genome of 0.648 kb was identified. P1 antigen was detected both in vitro and in vivo by synthetic peptide-derived polyclonal antibody-based immunochemistry. The designed peptides were synthesized by solid-phase technique, purified by high performance liquid chromatography, coupled to Keyhole limpet hemocyanin, and injected into rabbits to prepare polyclonal antibody. The emergence of positive cells revealed that synthetic peptide could elicit antibodies against P1 and viral protein could be synthesized.
