1Safety and efficacy of stent-assisted coiling for acutely ruptured wide-necked intracranial aneurysms:comparison of LVIS stents with laser-cut stents显示文摘Background:To compare the safety and efficacy of LVIS stent-assisted coiling with those of laser-cut stent-assisted coiling for the treatment of acutely ruptured wide-necked intracranial aneurysms.Methods:Patients with acutely ruptured wide-necked intracranial aneurysms treated with LVIS stent-assisted coiling(LVIS stent group)and laser-cut stent-assisted coiling(laser-cut stent group)were retrospectively reviewed from January 2014 to December 2017.Propensity score matching was used to adjust for potential differences in age,sex,aneurysm location,aneurysm size,neck width,Hunt-Hess grade,and modified Fisher grade.Perioperative procedure-related complications and clinical and angiographic follow-up outcomes were compared.Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to determine the associations between procedure-related complications and potential risk factors.Results:A total of 142 patients who underwent LVIS stent-assisted coiling and 93 patients who underwent laser-cut stent-assisted coiling were enrolled after 1:2 propensity score matching.The angiographic follow-up outcomes showed that the LVIS stent group had a slightly higher complete occlusion rate and lower recurrence rate than the laser-cut stent group(92.7%vs 80.6%;3.7%vs 9.7%,P=0.078).The clinical outcomes at discharge and follow-up between the two groups demonstrated no significant differences(P=0.495 and P=0.875,respectively).The rates of intraprocedural thrombosis,postprocedural thrombosis,postoperative early rebleeding,and procedure-related death were 0.7%(1/142),1.4%(2/142),2.8%(4/142),and 2.1%(3/142)in the LVIS stent group,respectively,and 4.3%(4/93),2.2%(2/93),1.1%(1/93),and 3.2%(3/93)in the laser-cut stent group,respectively(P=0.082,0.649,0.651,and 0.683).Nevertheless,the rates of overall procedure-related complications and intraprocedural rupture in the LVIS stent group were significantly lower than those in the laser-cut stent group(5.6%vs 14.0%,P=0.028;0.7%vs 6.5%,P=0.016).Multivariate analysis showed that laser-cut stent-assisted coiling was an independent predictor for overall procedurerelated complications(OR=2.727,P=0.037);a history of diabetes(OR=7.275,P=0.027)and other cerebrovascular diseases(OR=8.083,P=0.022)were independent predictors for ischemic complications,whereas none of the factors were predictors for hemorrhagic complications.Conclusions:Compared with laser-cut stent-assisted coiling,LVIS stent-assisted coiling for the treatment of acutely ruptured wide-necked intracranial aneurysms could reduce the rates of overall procedure-related complications and intraprocedural rupture.Gaici Xue Qiao Zuo Xiaoxi Zhang Haishuang Tang Rui Zhao Qiang Li Yibin Fang Pengfei Yang Bo Hong Yi Xu Qinghai Huang Jianmin Liu 2021Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2021,7,2:8
2Molecular Simulations of FCC Dry Gas Components Adsorption in Zeolite Y显示文摘Adsorption of FCC dry gas components, hydrogen(H_2), nitrogen(N_2), methane(CH_4), ethane(C_2H_6) and ethylene(C_2H_4) in zeolite Y was studied by performing the Grant Canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC) simulations at 298K and 823K and under a pressure range up to 10 MPa. Simulation results were analyzed using the Langmuir model, which presented fitting of dry gas components adsorption to be suggested as the monolayer adsorption. C_2H_4 presented most single adsorption amount, which reached 7.63 mol/kg at 298K under a pressure of 200kPa. Thermodynamic parameters of the Gibbs free energy change, enthalpy change and entropy change were analyzed based on adsorption equilibrium constant obtained from the GCMC simulations. The results suggested that it was more favorable for C_2H_4 to be adsorbed in zeolite Y. Adsorption molecules were in ordered arrangement in the zeolite, and C_2H_4 exhibited a more orderly arrangement than other components. Additionally, a competition in the adsorption of a mixture of dry gas components was found, and supercages were the priority adsorption space. 4Bisulfite-free mapping of DNA cytosine modifications:challenges and perspectives显示文摘The mapping of DNA cytosine modifications is crucial for understanding the dynamic landscape of epigenetic regulation.While bisulfite sequencing has been the gold standard for decades,it suffers from limitations such as DNA degradation and low library quality due to harsh chemical treatment.In recent years,bisulfite-free methods have emerged as promising alternatives for detecting and quantifying DNA cytosine modifications.These methods employ enzymatic and chemical strategies to investigate cytosine modifications without the need for bisulfite treatment.This review provides an overview of the historical context of bisulfite-based methods and presents the current landscape of bisulfite-free methods.The advantages and limitations of each approach are discussed,along with insights into their applications.Furthermore,the review explores the existing challenges in the field and presents future perspectives and potential directions for advancing bisulfite-free mapping methods.The continued progress in bisulfite-free techniques holds great promise for unraveling the intricate nature of DNA cytosine modifications and their functional implications in diverse biological processes and diseases.Yanfang Du Ying Tang Bingqian Lin Xiaochen Xue Yafen Wang Yibin Liu 2023Science China Chemistry2023,66,11:0
5High uric acid model in Caenorhabditis elegans显示文摘To establish experimental high uric acid model in C.elegans.Hypoxanthine,adenine,xanthine,and uric acid were used to treat C.elegans and then hyperuricemic C.elegans was evaluated by allopurinol.Hyperuricemic C.elegans were obtained after normal worms were treated by xanthine(0.25 mg/mL,18 h).For hyperuricemic worms,there was a statistically significant increase in the uric acid level(p<0.001)and a lower drug damage(p>0.05).Moreover,the model was proved to keep a high uric acid level for up to 12 h.After given allopurinol(0.25 mg/mL,12 h),the uric acid of hyperuricemic C.elegans had a significant reduction by 15%.Furthermore,xanthine oxidase activity in hyperuricemic C.elegans showed a statistically significant increase(p<0.001),which resulted in a raised uric acid content.A high uric acid model with low drug damage and high efficiency and stability was established in C.elegans after simply xanthine treatment.Zhenjing Li Yibin Xue Nifei Wang Jingli Cheng Xiaoying Dong Qingbin Guo Changlu Wang 2019Food Science and Human Wellness2019,8,1:0
