| 1 | High reproducibility and sensitivity of bifacial copper nanowire array for detection of glucose显示文摘The ordered bifacial copper nanowire array(Cu BNWA) was synthesized by a template assisted electrochemical deposition method.The morphology and structure of the as-prepared samples were investigated by field emission scanning electron microscope(FESEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results show that the ordered Cu nanowire array with uniform geometrical dimensions covered both side of the Cu substrate.When used as the electrode for glucose detection,the minimum detectable concentration of glucose can be reached as low as 0.2 mM.Impressively,the sample still showed high sensitivity and stability for glucose detection after two months placement in ambient environment.These excellent performances of the Cu BNWA make it a promising non-enzyme glucose detection sensor for various applications. | Hanqing Zhang Yining Wang Xuesen Gao Zhuo Gao Yan Chen | 2017 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2017,27,3: | 2 |
| 2 | Newly self-administered two-step tool for screening cognitive function in an ageing Chinese population:an exploratory cross-sectional study显示文摘Background Early screening of cognitive function is critical to dementia treatment and care.However,traditional tests require face-to-face administration and are often limited by implementation costs and biases.Aims This study aimed to assess whether the Thoven Cognitive Self-Assessment(TCSA),a novel,innovative two-step touchscreen-based cognition assessment tool,could identify early cognitive impairment due to dementia in older adults.Methods The TCSA was administered to 61 healthy controls(HCs),46 participants with mild cognitive impairment(MCI)and 44 participants diagnosed with dementia recruited from Shanghai.Two outcome measures were generated from the TCSA test:the TCSA_(primary task)score and the TCSA_(secondary task)score.Results The total average scores in the control group for the TCSA_(primary task)and TCSA_(secondary task)were significantly higher than those in the MCI and dementia groups(TCSA_(primary task):HCs vs MCI group vs dementia group,8.58±1.76 vs 5.40±2.67 vs 2.74±2.11,F=75.40,p<0.001;TCSA_(secondary task):HCs vs MCI group vs dementia group,23.02±3.31 vs 17.95±4.93 vs 11.93±5.50,F=76.46,p<0.001).Moreover,receiver operating characteristic analysis showed that a score below 7.5 for the TCSA_(primary task)and a score below 22.5 for the TCSA_(secondary task)were indicators of MCI.Conclusions The TCSA appears to be efficacious for the detection of cognitive impairment in older adults.It demonstrates the potential for large-scale cognition screening in community service settings. | Jing Nie Yang Yang Yining Gao Wenwen Jiang Aisikeer Aidina Fei Sun Lucas R Prieto Jie Yu Kang Ju Lisheng Song Xia Li | 2023 | General Psychiatry2023,36,1: | 2 |
| 3 | Fast-convolution multicarrier based frequency division multiple access显示文摘Fast-convolution multicarrier(FCMC), the asynchronous waveform with ultra-low sidelobe, has appeared to be a promising waveform technique for future wireless communications. In this paper, we investigate the filter bank optimization as well as receiver design including low-complexity channel estimator and equalizer for FCMC based frequency division multiple access(FDMA). Starting from the conventional multi-carrier signals, we first derive a vectorized signal model as a framework to systematically design the FCMC transceiver. For nearly perfect reconstruction(NPR) filter banks design, an optimization criterion which consists of minimizing received signal segments’ mean square error(MSE) is proposed. From the fact that Toeplitz matrices can be asymptotically diagonalized by discrete Fourier transform(DFT) matrix, the channel equalizer can be simplified to one-tap frequency domain equalizer when DFT size is large enough.The minimum mean square error(MMSE) criterion is then applied to calculate the coefficients of onetap frequency domain equalizer. In practice, due to the channel fading, the channel estimation has to be performed to obtain the channel state information(CSI) which is required by the channel equalization. To this end, we propose a combined cyclic prefix(CP) and cyclic suffix(CS) pilot structure which facilitates to estimate the frequency domain CSI directly in the receiver end. The proposed FCMC based FDMA features low-complexity receiver, adjustable users’ bandwidth and low peak-to-average power ratio. | 9 | Triple oxygen isotope constraints on the origin of ocean island basalts显示文摘Understanding the origin of ocean island basalts(OIB) has important bearings on Earth's deep mantle.Although it is widely accepted that subducted oceanic crust, as a consequence of plate tectonics, contributes material to OIB's formation, its exact fraction in OIB's mantle source remains ambiguous largely due to uncertainties associated with existing geochemical proxies. Here we show, through theoretical calculation, that unlike many known proxies, triple oxygen isotope compositions(i.e.D^(17 )O) in olivine samples are not affected by crystallization and partial melting. This unique feature, therefore, allows olivine D^(17 )O values to identify subducted oceanic crusts in OIB's mantle source. Furthermore, the fractions of subducted ocean sediments and hydrothermally altered oceanic crust in OIB's mantle source can be quantified using their characteristic D^(17 )O values. | 10 | Beliefs towards the COVID-19 pandemic among patients with emotional disorders in China显示文摘Background The novel coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has given rise to fear and panic in the public.Although hospitals in China reduced outpatient visits and restricted inpatient admission to lower the risk of transmission of COVID-19,this has significantly affected patients in need of medical attention,for example,patients with emotional disorders.Aims This study aimed to compare the beliefs towards COVID-19 among outpatients with emotional disorders(ie,anxiety or depression)with those offamily caregivers and the general public and examine factors that shape the beliefs towards COVID-19 among outpatients with emotional disorders.Methods Survey data from 570 outpatients with anxiety or depression disorders,449 family caregivers and 470 general public subjects were collected.Multiple stepwise regression analyses were used to describe participants'level of concern,prevention atitude and positive expectations towards the COVID-19 outbreak.Results About 70.9%of outpatients had to postpone their mental health treatment;43.2%of patients admitted that their mental health was adversely affected by the COVID-19 outbreak--these patients tended to be older,male and less educated.After controlling for age and education level,outpatients with emotional disorders had significantly lower levels of concerns but more negative expectations towards COVID-19,compared with family caregivers and the public.Multivariate linear stepwise regression analysis showed that age,education and the perception of the impact of COVID-19 on one's existing mental ilness were significantly associated with outpatients'beliefs about the epidemic.Conclusion Outpatients with anxiety or depression disorders were relatively less focused on the COVID-19 outbreak,but the impact of the infection was found to be independently associated with their beliefs towards COVID-19.In addition,outpatients who were older and of low educational levels particularly held more negative beliefs about the epidemic,which may place them at a higher risk for poor mental health. | Yining Gao Fei Sun Wenwen Jiang Yuan Fang Ling Yue Xiang Lin Xia Li | 2020 | General Psychiatry2020,33,3: | 1 |

| 20 | LncRNA ZFAS1 regulates cardiomyocyte differentiation of human embryonic stem cells显示文摘Background:Cardiomyocytes derived from human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)are regulated by complex and stringent gene networks during differentiation.Long non-coding RNAs(lncRNAs)exert critical epigenetic regulatory functions in multiple differentiation processes.However,the involvement of lncRNAs in the differentiation of hESCs into cardiomyocytes has not yet been fully elucidated.Here,we identified the key roles of ZFAS1(lncRNA zinc finger antisense 1)in the differentiation of cardiomyocytes from hESCs.Methods:A model of cardiomyocyte differentiation from stem cells was established using the monolayer differentiation method,and the number of beating hESCs-derived cardiomyocytes was calculated.Gene expression was analyzed by quantitative real-time PCR(qRTPCR).Immunofluorescence assays were performed to assess the expression of cardiac troponin T(cTnT)andα-actinin protein in cardiomyocytes.Results:qRT-PCR showed that ZFAS1 expression in the mesoderm was significantly higher than that in embryonic stem cells,cardiac progenitor cells,and cardiomyocytes.Knockdown of ZFAS1 inhibited cardiomyocyte differentiation from hESCs,which was characterized by reduced expression of the cardiac-specific markers cTnT,α-actinin,myosin heavy chain 6(MYH6),and myosin heavy chain 7(MYH7).In contrast,ZFAS1 overexpression remarkably increased the percentage of spontaneously beating cardiomyocytes.In terms of the mechanism,we found that ZFAS1 is an antisense lncRNA at the 5′end of the protein-coding gene ZNFX1.Knockdown of ZFAS1 could increase the mRNA expression level of ZNFX1.Furthermore,qRT-PCR demonstrated that the silencing of ZNFX1 led to an increase in cardiac-specific markers that predicted the promotion of cardiomyocyte differentiation.Conclusion:Altogether,these data suggest that lncRNA-ZFAS1 is required for cardiac differentiation by functionally inhibiting the expression of ZNFX1,which may provide a reference for the treatment of heart disease to a certain extent. | YANG CAO YINING LIU YANG YU XIAOFEI GUO XIUXIU WANG WENYA MA HANJING LI ZHONGYU REN XINLU GAO SIJIA LI HAOYU JI HONGYANG CHEN HONG YAN YANAN TIAN XIN WANG BENZHI CAI | 2023 | BIOCELL2023,47,6: | 0 |
