1Rural land use spatial allocation in the semiarid loess hilly area in China:Using a Particle Swarm Optimization model equipped with multi-objective optimization techniques显示文摘Semiarid loess hilly areas in China are enduring a series of environmental conflicts between urban expansion,cultivated land conservation,soil erosion and water shortage,and require land use allocation to reconcile these environmental conflicts.We argue that the optimized spatial allocation of rural land use can be achieved by a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) model in conjunction with multi-objective optimization techniques.Our study focuses on Yuzhong County of Gangsu Province in China,a typical catchment on the Loess Plateau,and proposes a land use spatial optimization model.The model maximizes land use suitability and spatial compactness based on a variety of constraints,e.g.optimal land use structure and restrictive areas,and employs an improved PSO algorithm equipped with a determinant initialization method and a dynamic weighted aggregation (DWA) method to obtain the optimized land use spatial pattern.The results suggest that (1) approximately 4% of land use should be reallocated and these changes would alleviate the environmental conflicts in the study area;(2) the major reshuffling is slope farmland and newly added construction and cultivated land,whereas the unchanged areas are largely forests and basic farmland;and (3) the PSO is capable of optimizing rural land use allocation,and the determinant initialization method and DWA can improve the performance of the PSO.LIU YaoLin LIU DianFeng LIU YanFang HE JianHua JIAO LiMin CHEN YiYun HONG XiaoFeng 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7:23
2Pathways of China's PM;air quality 2015–2060 in the context of carbon neutrality显示文摘Clean air policies in China have substantially reduced particulate matter(PM;) air pollution in recent years,primarily by curbing end-of-pipe emissions.However,reaching the level of the World Health Organization(WHO) guidelines may instead depend upon the air quality co-benefits of ambitious climate action.Here,we assess pathways of Chinese PM;air quality from 2015 to 2060 under a combination of scenarios that link global and Chinese climate mitigation pathways(i.e.global 2℃-and 1.5℃-pathways,National Determined Contributions(NDC) pledges and carbon neutrality goals) to local clean air policies.We find that China can achieve both its near-term climate goals(peak emissions) and PM;air quality annual standard(35 μg/m;) by 2030 by fulfilling its NDC pledges and continuing air pollution control policies.However,the benefits of end-of-pipe control reductions are mostly exhausted by 2030,and reducing PM;exposure of the majority of the Chinese population to below 10 μg/m;by 2060 will likely require more ambitious climate mitigation efforts such as China’ s carbon neutrality goals and global1.5℃-pathways.Our results thus highlight that China’s carbon neutrality goals will play a critical role in reducing air pollution exposure to the level of the WHO guidelines and protecting public health.Jing Cheng Dan Tong Qiang Zhang Yang Liu Yu Lei Gang Yan Liu Yan Sha Yu Ryna Yiyun Cui Leon Clarke Guannan Geng Bo Zheng Xiaoye Zhang Steven JDavis Kebin He 2021National Science Review2021,8,12:23
3Common-Ion Effect Triggered Highly Sustained Seawater Electrolysis with Additional NaCl Production显示文摘Developing efficient seawater-electrolysis system for mass production of hydrogen is highly desirable due to the abundance of seawater.However,continuous electrolysis with seawater feeding boosts the concentration of sodium chloride in the electrolyzer,leading to severe electrode corrosion and chlorine evolution.Herein,the common-ion effect was utilized into the electrolyzer to depress the solubility of NaCl.Specifically,utilization of 6M NaOH halved the solubility of NaCl in the electrolyte,affording efficient,durable,and sustained seawater electrolysis in NaCl-saturated electrolytes with triple production of H_(2),O_(2),and crystalline NaCl.Ternary NiCoFe phosphide was employed as a bifunctional anode and cathode in simulative and Ca/Mg-free seawater-electrolysis systems,which could stably work under 500 mA/cm^(2) for over 100 h.We attribute the high stability to the increased Na^(+)concentration,which reduces the concentration of dissolved Cl-in the electrolyte according to the common-ion effect,resulting in crystallization of NaCl,eliminated anode corrosion,and chlorine oxidation during continuous supplementation of Ca/Mg-free seawater to the electrolysis system.Pengsong Li Shiyuan Wang Imran Ahmed Samo Xingheng Zhang Zhaolei Wang Cheng Wang Yang Li Yiyun Du Yang Zhong Congtian Cheng Wenwen Xu Xijun Liu Yun Kuang Zhiyi Lu Xiaoming Sun 2020Research2020,,1:3

62,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin promotes migration ability of primary cultured rat astrocytes via aryl hydrocarbon receptor显示文摘Emerging evidence showed that 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin(TCDD) could induce expression of certain reactivation-associated genes in astrocytes, however, the consequent cellular effects and molecular mechanisms are still unclear. During the process of astrocyte reactivation, migration is a critical cellular event. In the present study, we employed woundhealing assay and Transwell? motility assay to explore the effects of TCDD on cell migration in primary cultured rat cortical astrocytes. We found that upon TCDD treatments at relative low concentrations(10^(-10) and/or 10^(-9) mol/L), the ability of primary astrocytes to migrate horizontally and vertically was promoted. In line with this cellular effect, the mR NA expression of two promigratory genes, including cell division cycle 42(CDC42) and matrix metalloproteinase 2(MMP2)was induced by TCDD treatment. Dioxin exerts its toxic effects mainly through aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR) pathway. So the role of AhR pathway in the pro-migratory effects of TCDD was examined using an AhR antagonist, CH223191. We found that application of CH223191 significantly reversed the pro-migratory effects of TCDD. Interestingly, the basal ability of horizontal migration as well as basal levels of CDC42 and MMP2 expression were dramatically reduced suggesting a possible physiological role of AhR in maintaining the endogenous migration ability of the primary astrocytes. 10S,S-Tetrazine-Based Hydrogels with Visible Light Cleavable Properties for On-Demand Anticancer Drug Delivery显示文摘Photocleavable hydrogels are of great importance in the field of controlled drug delivery,stem cell fate regulation,surface patterning,and intelligent devices.However,the development of novel photocleavable gel systems by visible light is usually met with challenges such as the lack of efficient and tunable photocleavable groups and reactions.Herein,we reported the facile fabrication of a new type of photocleavable hydrogels by the direct gelation of 4-arm thiol-terminated polyethylene glycol with 3,6-dichloro-1,2,4,5-tetrazine via the formation of S,S-tetrazine linkages.The prepared hydrogels underwent efficient degradation upon irradiation by ultraviolet or green light,and the degradation kinetics could be significantly promoted by hydrogen peroxide.Correspondingly,the hydrogels loaded with calcium peroxide microparticles or glucose oxidase/catalase enzymes enabled the precise and efficient in vivo photocontrol of gel degradation and drug release for cancer treatment.This work offers a promising and facile strategy towards the fabrication of visible light cleavable hydrogels with tunable and ondemand drug release properties.Changping Wang Chongyi Liu Qiyao Wei Lei Yang Peng Yang Yiwen Li Yiyun Cheng 2020Research2020,,1:1

14Screening the Best Material for Ploidy Identification of Sugarcane-related Genera显示文摘[Objectives] Flow cytometry is widely used to identify plant chromosome ploidy because of its simplicity, rapidity and accuracy. Chromosome ploidy identification is an important part of sugarcane ploidy breeding and application research. It is particularly important to find out the best detection part for ploidy identification in sugarcane. [Methods] The cell suspensions of sugarcane stem tips and leaves were prepared by blade chopping method. The cell suspensions were detected by flow cytometry. The best position for ploidy identification was determined by comparing the cell suspension prepared from stem tips and cell suspension prepared from leaves. [Results] The results showed that the cell suspension dissociated from stem tips was more clear than that from leaf cell suspension;the proportion of non-adherent cells in the suspension prepared from stem tips was larger than that from the leaf cell suspension;the main peak of the stem tip cell suspension was single and the number of cells was more than that of the stem tip cell suspension by flow cytometry. Using the known ploidy ‘Badilar’ as the internal reference, the ploidy of cyathomi 87-16 was detected to be 8.37. [Conclusions] Sugarcane shoot tips are an ideal material for ploidy identification. 16Design and therapeutic application of sodium alginate-based hydrogel with biodegradability and catalytic activity显示文摘How to efficiently treat cancer in a minimally invasive manner has become one of the major focuses of recent developments in biomedicine.In this research,biodegradable sodium alginate(SA)hydrogel encapsulated with NaHCO_(3)and glucose oxidase(GOX)was synthesized using Fe^(3+)as the crosslinker for the tumor chemodynamic therapy(CDT)and starvation therapy(ST).Material safety assessments revealed that this hydrogel possesses good in vitro and in vivo security.In tumor microenvrionment(TME),the Fe^(3+)further reacted with the intracellular glutathione and was transformed into Fe^(2+),which triggered the Fenton reaction with the H_(2)O_(2)within TME and produced abundant highly toxic·OH(hydroxyl radicals)for efficient tumor CDT.Furthermore,the GOXcatalyzed the enzymolysis of glucose to consume the nutrient of the tumor and enhance the H_(2)O_(2)level in TME.Besides,the CO_(2)bubbles that were generated from the decomposing of NaHCO_(3)promoted the contact between glucose and GOX.Findings in this research would have important implications for the present status of tumor therapy.LI JinFeng ZHAO JiuLong CHEN YongKang ZHENG YuTing ZHOU LingLing ZHAO JiaYan LIU YiYun LIU XiuYing WANG ShiGe 2020Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,11:0
17A General Framework of Reversible Data Hiding with Controlled Contrast Enhancement显示文摘This paper proposes a two-step general framework for reversible data hiding(RDH)schemes with controllable contrast enhancement.The first step aims at preserving visual perception as much as possible on the basis of achieving high embedding capacity(EC),while the second step is used for increasing image contrast.In the second step,some peak-pairs are utilized so that the histogram of pixel values is modified to perform histogram equalization(HE),which would lead to the image contrast enhancement.However,for HE,the utilization of some peak-pairs easily leads to over-enhanced image contrast when a large number of bits are embedded.Therefore,in our proposed framework,contrast over-enhancement is avoided by controlling the degree of contrast enhancement.Since the second step can only provide a small amount of data due to controlled contrast enhancement,the first one helps to achieve a large amount of data without degrading visual quality.Any RDH method which can achieve high EC while preserve good visual quality,can be selected for the first step.In fact,Gao et al.’s method is a special case of our proposed framework.In addition,two simple and commonly-used RDH methods are also introduced to further demonstrate the generalization of our framework.Shaowei Weng Yiyun Liu Yunqing Shi Bo Ou Chunyu Zhang Cuiping Wang 2020Computers, Materials & Continua2020,,1:0
18Reversible lithium storage in sp^(2) hydrocarbon frameworks显示文摘Polymer materials offer controllable structure-dependent performances in separation,catalysis and drug release.Their molecular structures can be precisely tailored to accept Li^(+)for energy storage applications.Here the design of sp^(2)carbon-based polyphenylene(PPH)with high lithium-ion uptakes and long-term stability is reported.Linear-PPH(L-PPH)exceeds the performance of crosslink-PPH(C-PPH),due to the fact that it has an ordered lamellar structure,promoting the Li^(+)intercalation/deintercalation channel.The L-PPH cell shows a clear charge and discharge plateau at 0.35 and 0.15 V vs.Li^(+)/Li,respectively,which is absent in the C-PPH cell.The Li^(+)storage capacity of L-PPH is five times that of the C-PPH.The reversible storage capacity is further improved to 261 m Ah g;by functionalizing the L-PPH with the–SO_(3)H groups.In addition,the Li-intercalated structures of C-PPH and L-PPH are investigated via near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure(NEXAFS),suggesting the high reversible Li^(+)–C=C bond interaction at L-PPH.This strategy,based on new insight into sp^(2)functional groups,is the first step toward a molecular understanding of the structure storage-capacity relationship in sp^(2)carbon-based polymer.Zhangxiang Hao Junrun Feng Yiyun Liu Liqun Kang Bolun Wang Junwen Gu Lin Sheng Ruoyu Xu Sushila Marlow Dan J.L.Brett Yunhui Huang Feng Ryan Wang 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,3:0
19Application of ^15N Stable Isotope Labeling Technology in Sugarcane Nitrogen Research显示文摘Nitrogen is one of the essential nutrient elements for plant growth,which plays an important role in the growth and development of sugarcane. The whole growth cycle of sugarcane needs a large amount of nitrogen. Increasing the application of nitrogen can improve the yield of sugarcane,but it will also cause environmental pollution. Therefore,how to control or reduce the application of nitrogen fertilizer while continuously increasing sugarcane yield,reduce the increase of sugarcane production cost and environmental pollution caused by excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer has become an important scientific problem faced by sugarcane industry in China.^15N stable isotope labeling technology has been applied to many crops as a nitrogen research tool. 20ATF1 promotes the malignancy of lung adenocarcinoma cells by transcriptionally regulating ZNF143 expression显示文摘The clinical oncogenic functions and mechanisms of activating transcription factor 1(ATF1)in the progression of lung adenocarcinoma have not been completely elucidated.In this study,by employing human lung adenocarcinoma tissues and cells,we detect the correlation of ATF1 expression with the clinicopathological features and prognosis of patients with lung adenocarcinoma and find that ATF1 promotes lung adenocarcinoma cell proliferation and migration by transcriptionally enhancing zinc finger protein 143(ZNF143)expression.ATF1 and ZNF143 are strongly expressed in lung adenocarcinoma tissues compared with those in the adjacent normal tissues,and high ATF1 and ZNF143 expressions are related to poor disease-free survival of lung adenocarcinoma patients.ATF1 overexpression results in increased proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells,whereas knockdown of ATF1 inhibits cell proliferation and migration.Furthermore,ATF1 transcriptionally regulates the expression of ZNF143,and ATF1 and ZNF143 expressions are positively correlated in lung adenocarcinoma tissues.ZNF143 knockdown blocks lung adenocarcinoma cell migration,which is mediated by ATF1 upregulation.Hence,this study provides a potential therapeutic candidate for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma.Jinhong Mei Yu Liu Yiyun Sheng Ying Liu Limin Chen Hailong Wang Minzhang Cheng Zhenyu Zhai Linlin Xu 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,5:0
