1The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 2Dynamic characteristics of an intestine capsule robot with variable diameter显示文摘This paper proposes an intestine capsule robot with variable diameter. It is driven by external rotating magnetic field and has the function of automatic radial clearance compensation. An external magnetic field generating device and a capsule robot with variable diameter are developed. Radial dynamic balance equation and kinematics equation of the capsule robot traveling inside flexible elasto-wall environment are established, and dynamic characteristics of the capsule robot inside flexible elasto-wall pipe and rigid wall pipe environments are analyzed and compared. Simulations and experiment results show that its dynamic characteristics in both pipes are almost the same. Under the action of radial clearance compensation, fluid dynamic pressure around outer surface of the capsule robot and its propulsion, as well as its adaptability to diameter change range, are significantly improved. Its propulsion and moving speed are controlled by adjusting rotating angular speed of the rotating magnetic field. 3THEORY AND EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGAION OF FLEXURAL WAVE PROPAGATION IN THIN RECTANGULAR PLATE WITH PERIODIC STRUCTURE显示文摘With the idea of the phononic crystals, a thin rectangular plate with two-dimensional peri-odic structure is designed. Flexural wave band structures of such a plate with infinite structure arecalculated with the plane-wave expansion (PWE) method, and directional band gaps are found in theΓX direction. The acceleration frequency response in the ΓX direction of such a plate with finitestructure is simulated with the finite element method and verified with a vibration experiment. Thefrequency ranges of sharp drops in the calculated and measured acceleration frequency responsecurves are in basic agreement with those in the band structures. Thin plate is a widely used componentin the engineering structures. 4Characteristics of spatial magnetic torque of an intestine capsule micro robot with a variable diameter显示文摘A drive and control method is put forward for a variable diameter capsule micro robot to screw forward in intestine using magnetic coupling between an inner actuator inside the robot and the rotational magnetic field generated by a rotating outer actuator. The structures of the outer and inner actuators are magnet cylinders with multiple magnetic poles in tegular shape alternating with dissimilar radial magnetization. An universal mathematical model of magnetic torque at eccentric state is established based on the equivalent magnetic charge method, and the characteristics of magnetic torque with respect to structural parameters of actuators are theoretically studied. Experiments show that the driving method features advantages such as powerful magnetic torque, high safety, reliability, etc. The driving ability of the variable diameter capsule micro robot is greatly improved by its automatic radial clearance compensation. 5Study on the vibration band gap and vibration attenuation property of phononic crystals显示文摘Phononic crystals (PCs) are functional materials with periodic structures and elas- tic wave (vibration) band gaps, where propagation of vibrations with frequencies within band gaps is forbidden. PCs with finite periods can restrain the propagation of vibrations with frequencies in band gaps and thus has vibration attenuation property. Worldwide, many institutions and researchers are engaged in the re- search of PCs, however, studies on the vibration attenuation property of PCs are still limited. In this paper, we report our study of band gaps and vibration attenua- tion properties of 1) a simplified PC—periodic mass-spring structures, 2) longitu- dinal vibration of one-dimensional (1D-), 2D-, 3D-PCs, and 3) the flexural vibration of 1D- and 2D-PCs.
