3Mapping the permafrost stability on the Tibetan Plateau for 2005–2015显示文摘Data scarcity is a major obstacle for high-resolution mapping of permafrost on the Tibetan Plateau(TP).This study produces a new permafrost stability distribution map for the 2010 s(2005–2015)derived from the predicted mean annual ground temperature(MAGT)at a depth of zero annual amplitude(10–25 m)by integrating remotely sensed freezing degree-days and thawing degree-days,snow cover days,leaf area index,soil bulk density,high-accuracy soil moisture data,and in situ MAGT measurements from 237 boreholes on the TP by using an ensemble learning method that employs a support vector regression model based on distance-blocked resampled training data with 200 repetitions.Validation of the new permafrost map indicates that it is probably the most accurate of all currently available maps.This map shows that the total area of permafrost on the TP,excluding glaciers and lakes,is approximately 115.02(105.47–129.59)×10^4 km^2.The areas corresponding to the very stable,stable,semi-stable,transitional,and unstable types are 0.86×10^4,9.62×10^4,38.45×10^4,42.29×10^4,and 23.80×10^4 km^2,respectively.This new map is of fundamental importance for engineering planning and design,ecosystem management,and evaluation of the permafrost change in the future on the TP as a baseline.Youhua RAN Xin LI Guodong CHENG Zhuotong NAN Jinxing CHE Yu SHENG Qingbai WU Huijun JIN Dongliang LUO Zhiguang TANG Xiaobo WU 2021Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,1:11

5Effect of nitrogen fertilizer on distribution of starch granules in different regions of wheat endosperm显示文摘This study provided visual evidence of a nitrogen effect on starch granules(SGs) in wheat endosperm. Winter wheat(Titicum aestivum L.) cultivar Xumai 30 was cultured under no nitrogen(control) and 240 kg ha-1of nitrogen applied at the booting stage. The number, morphology, and size of Aand B-type SGs in subaleurone of dorsal endosperm(SDE), center of dorsal endosperm(CDE), modified aleurone(MA), subaleurone of ventral endosperm(SVE), and center of ventral endosperm(CVE) were observed under light and electron microscopes.(1) The distribution of SGs in SDE was similar to that in SVE, the distributions of SGs in CDE and CVE were similar, but the distribution of SGs in MA was different from those in the other four endosperm regions. The number of SGs in the five endosperm regions was in the order SDE > CDE > SVE > CVE > MA.(2) Nitrogen increased the number of Aand B-type SGs in SDE and SVE. Nitrogen also increased the number of B-type SGs but decreased the number of A-type SGs in CDE and CVE. Nitrogen decreased the numbers of A-type and B-type SGs in MA. 6Protonation induced high-T_c phases in iron-based superconductors evidenced by NMR and magnetization measurements显示文摘Chemical substitution during growth is a well-established method to manipulate electronic states of quantum materials, and leads to rich spectra of phase diagrams in cuprate and iron-based superconductors. Here we report a novel and generic strategy to achieve nonvolatile electron doping in series of(i.e.11 and 122 structures) Fe-based superconductors by ionic liquid gating induced protonation at room temperature. Accumulation of protons in bulk compounds induces superconductivity in the parent compounds, and enhances the Tclargely in some superconducting ones. Furthermore, the existence of proton in the lattice enables the first proton nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) study to probe directly superconductivity. Using Fe S as a model system, our NMR study reveals an emergent high-Tcphase with no coherence peak which is hard to measure by NMR with other isotopes. 7Effects of wind waves of the Pacific westerly on the eastern Pacific wave transport显示文摘There exists a tongue-shaped swell-dominance pool known as Swell Pool(SP) in the Eastern Pacific region.The monthly-mean wave transports(WT) for each month of 2000 is computed using the wave products of ECMWF reanalysis data.By comparing the 2000 monthly-mean WT and monthly-mean wind field from QUICKSCAT,large differences are found between the wave transport direction and the wind direction over the Eastern Pacific.This may serve as an evidence for the existence of the SP in this region.The work done in this study indicates that the sources of swell in the Tropical Eastern Pacific(TEP) are in the westerly regions of the Southern and Northern Pacific.DENG Zeng' an WU Kejian ZHAO Dongliang YU Ting 2009Acta Oceanologica Sinica2009,28,1:6

11Reprogramming of a defense signaling pathway in rough lemon and sweet orange is a critical element of the early response to‘Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus’显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)in citrus infected by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas)has caused tremendous losses to the citrus industry.No resistant genotypes have been identified in citrus species or close relatives.Among citrus varieties,rough lemon(Citrus jambhiri)has been considered tolerant due to its ability to produce a healthy flush of new growth after infection.The difference between tolerance and susceptibility is often defined by the speed and intensity of a plant’s response to a pathogen,especially early defense responses.RNA-seq data were collected from three biological replicates of CLas-and mock-inoculated rough lemon and sweet orange at week 0 and 7 following infection.Functional analysis of the differentially expressed genes(DEGs)indicated that genes involved in the mitogen activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling pathway were highly upregulated in rough lemon.MAPK induces the transcription of WRKY and other transcription factors which potentially turn on multiple defense-related genes.A Subnetwork Enrichment Analysis further revealed different patterns of regulation of several functional categories,suggesting DEGs with different functions were subjected to reprogramming.In general,the amplitude of the expression of defense-related genes is much greater in rough lemon than in sweet orange.A quantitative disease resistance response may contribute to the durable tolerance level to HLB observed in rough lemon.Qibin Yu Chunxian Chen Dongliang Du Ming Huang Jiqiang Yao Fahong Yu Ronald H Brlansky Frederick G.Gmitter Jr 2017Horticulture Research2017,4,1:5
12Genome resequencing and transcriptome profiling reveal structural diversity and expression patterns of constitutive disease resistance genes in Huanglongbing-tolerant Poncirus trifoliata and its hybrids显示文摘Huanglongbing(HLB)is the most destructive bacterial disease of citrus worldwide.While most citrus varieties are susceptible to HLB,Poncirus trifoliata,a close relative of Citrus,and some of its hybrids with Citrus are tolerant to HLB.No specific HLB tolerance genes have been identified in P.trifoliata but recent studies have shown that constitutive disease resistance(CDR)genes were expressed at much higher levels in HLB-tolerant Poncirus hybrids and the expression of CDR genes was modulated by Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus(CLas),the pathogen of HLB.The current study was undertaken to mine and characterize the CDR gene family in Citrus and Poncirus and to understand its association with HLB tolerance in Poncirus.We identified 17 CDR genes in two citrus genomes,deduced their structures,and investigated their phylogenetic relationships.We revealed that the expansion of the CDR family in Citrus seems to be due to segmental and tandem duplication events.Through genome resequencing and transcriptome sequencing,we identified eight CDR genes in the Poncirus genome(PtCDR1-PtCDR8).The number of SNPs was the highest in PtCDR2 and the lowest in PtCDR7.Most of the deletion and insertion events were observed in the UTR regions of Citrus and Poncirus CDR genes.PtCDR2 and PtCDR8 were in abundance in the leaf transcriptomes of two HLB-tolerant Poncirus genotypes and were also upregulated in HLB-tolerant,Poncirus hybrids as revealed by real-time PCR analysis.These two CDR genes seem to be good candidate genes for future studies of their role in citrus-CLas interactions.Nidhi Rawat Brajendra Kumar Ute Albrecht Dongliang Du Ming Huang Qibin Yu Yi Zhang Yong-Ping Duan Kim D Bowman Fred G Gmitter Jr Zhanao Deng 2017Horticulture Research2017,4,1:5

14Indonesian Throughflow in an eddy-resolving ocean model显示文摘The performance of the eddy-resolving LICOM2.0 in simulating the Indonesian Throughflow has been evaluated against the INSTANT data in the present study.The mean vertical structures of the along strait velocities are simulated well in LICOM2.0,but the large velocities at the bottom of the Lifamatola Passage and the Timor Passage cannot be reproduced by LICOM2.0.The causes are considered to be both the errors in the topography and the tidal mixing at the bottom.Despite several biases in the mean velocities,the mean inflow and outflow volume transports in LICOM2.0 are almost identical to the INSTANT data.Compared with the lower resolution LICOM,the most significant improvement is the better simulation of the partitions of the inflow and outflow transports in individual straits.The outflow for low-resolution LICOM is mainly through the Ombai and Lombok Strait,whereas that for LICOM2.0 is mainly through the Timor Passage.The variability of the vertical structure of velocities and the volume transport are also investigated.LICOM2.0 overestimates the magnitude of the upper-layer currents and the amplitude of the variation.We also found that the largest correlation coefficient occurs in the shallowest strait,the Lombok,whereas the lowest occurs in the Timor Passage,especially in the upper layer.The latter may be caused by the unrealistic transport through the Torres Strait in LICOM2.0.FENG Xue LIU HaiLong WANG FuChang YU YongQiang YUAN DongLiang 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,35:4
15Easily fabricated and recyclable Pd&Cu@Al catalyst for gram-scale phosphine-free Heck reactions with high TON显示文摘A unique Pd&Cu@Al catalyst was easily fabricated just by immersing commercial aluminum foil in a mixed xylene solution of PdCl_2 and CuCl_2. The catalyst fabrication process led to aluminum oxide coatings in situ, which supported the metal nanoparticles and enhanced their catalytic activities for the phosphine-free Heck reaction of aryl halides and styrenes with high turnover number(TON) up to 3.9×10~5. The reaction can be scaled up to at least 100 mmol and has been applied in modification of drug Lapatinib's intermediate with low metal residue. 16High strain rate tensile properties of a TiAl alloy in duplex and fully lamellar microsturctural forms显示文摘A self designed Split Hopkinson tensile bar setup with a rotating disk was used to investigate room temperature tensile properties of a γ TiAl alloy in duplex (DP) and fully lamellar (FL) microstructural forms under the dynamic strain rates between 70 and 800 s -1 . It was found that for both forms the alloy is brittle at these strain rates, exhibiting near zero ductility. The σ b at dynamic strain rate is greater than that at the static strain rate of 5×10 -1 s -1 , and the σ b of the DP material is higher than that of the FL material. Fractography analysis indicated that both materials at dynamic strain rates fracture in a mixed mode of predominant transgranular cleavage and minor intergranular cracking, which is similar to that at the static strain rate. 18THERMAL ACTIVATION ANALYSIS ON STRAIN RATE DEPENDENCE OF HIGH TEMPERATURE TENSILE PROPERTIES IN TiAl ALLOY显示文摘Tensile properties of a two phase γ Ti 47Al 1.5Cr 0.5Mn 2.8Nb alloy with a duplex microstructure were tested under strain rates ranging from 5×10 -5 to 5×10 -3 s -1 at temperatures from 1 123 K to 1 273 K. It was found that there exists approximately linear relationship between the flow stresses and the logarithm of the strain rate at different temperatures. 19THERMAL ACTIVATION ANALYSIS ON TENSILE DEFORMATION IN Ti47Al2Mn2Nb ALLOY显示文摘Activation volume V , activation enthalpy Δ H , activation free enthalpy Δ G and activation entropy Δ S of tensile deformation of Ti 47Al 2Mn 2Nb alloy with near lamellar microstructure were measured at yield point using strain rate jumping method in a temperature range from 77 K to 1 373 K. Based on the measured values of activation parameters and temperature dependence of tensile properties, different thermally activated dislocation motion mechanisms were speculated to control tensile deformation of the alloy in three temperature regions: in low temperature region (77~398 K), the mechanism is mainly characterized by the overcoming of Peierls Nabarro friction; in intermediate temperature region (398~1 073 K), the mechanism is an abnormally weak thermal activated motion; in high temperature region (1 073~1 373 K), dislocation climbing is the controlling mechanism.Yu Wang 1) , Dongliang Lin (T.
