| 1 | Chinese Stroke Association guidelines for clinical management of cerebrovascular disorders: executive summary and 2019 update of clinical management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases显示文摘Aim Stroke is the leading cause of disability and death in China.Ischaemic stroke accounts for about 60%-80%of all strokes.It is of considerable significance to carry out multidimensional management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.This evidence-based guideline aims to provide the latest detailed and comprehensive recommendations on the diagnosis,treatment and secondary prevention of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.Methods We had performed comprehensive searches of MEDLINE(via PubMed)(before 30 June 2019),and integrated the relevant information into charts and distributed to the writing group.Writing group members discussed and determined the recommendations through teleconference.We used the level of evidence grading algorithm of Chinese Stroke Association to grade each recommendation.The draft was reviewed by the Guideline Writing Committee of Chinese Stroke Association Stroke and finalised.This guideline is fully updated every 3 years.results This evidence-based guideline is based on the treatment,care and prevention of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases,which emphasises on pathogenesis evaluation,intravenous thrombolysis,endovascular therapy,antiplatelet therapy,prevention and treatment of complications,and risk factor management.Conclusions This updated guideline presents a framework for the management of ischaemic cerebrovascular diseases.Timely first-aid measures,professional care in the acute stage,and proactive secondary prevention will be helpful to patients. | Liping Liu Weiqi Chen Hongyu Zhou Wanying Duan Shujuan Li Xiaochuan Huo Weihai Xu Li'an Huang Huaguang Zheng Jingyi Liu Hui Liu Yufei Wei Jie Xu Yongjun Wang | 2020 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2020,5,2: | 42 |

| 3 | Smart Manufacturing and Intelligent Manufacturing:A Comparative Review显示文摘The application of intelligence to manufacturing has emerged as a compelling topic for researchers and industries around the world.However,different terminologies,namely smart manufacturing(SM)and intelligent manufacturing(IM),have been applied to what may be broadly characterized as a similar paradigm by some researchers and practitioners.While SM and IM are similar,they are not identical.From an evolutionary perspective,there has been little consideration on whether the definition,thought,connotation,and technical development of the concepts of SM or IM are consistent in the literature.To address this gap,the work performs a qualitative and quantitative investigation of research literature to systematically compare inherent differences of SM and IM and clarify the relationship between SM and IM.A bibliometric analysis of publication sources,annual publication numbers,keyword frequency,and top regions of research and development establishes the scope and trends of the currently presented research.Critical topics discussed include origin,definitions,evolutionary path,and key technologies of SM and IM.The implementation architecture,standards,and national focus are also discussed.In this work,a basis to understand SM and IM is provided,which is increasingly important because the trend to merge both terminologies rises in Industry 4.0 as intelligence is being rapidly applied to modern manufacturing and human–cyber–physical systems. | Baicun Wang Fei Tao Xudong Fang Chao Liu Yufei Liu Theodor Freiheit | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,6: | 22 |

| 6 | Wasserstein GAN-Based Small-Sample Augmentation for New-Generation Artificial Intelligence: A Case Study of Cancer-Staging Data in Biology显示文摘It is essential to utilize deep-learning algorithms based on big data for the implementation of the new generation of artificial intelligence. Effective utilization of deep learning relies considerably on the number of labeled samples, which restricts the application of deep learning in an environment with a small sample size. In this paper, we propose an approach based on a generative adversarial network (GAN) combined with a deep neural network (DNN). First, the original samples were divided into a training set and a test set. The GAN was trained with the training set to generate synthetic sample data, which enlarged the training set. Next, the DNN classifier was trained with the synthetic samples. Finally, the classifier was tested with the test set, and the effectiveness of the approach for multi-classification with a small sample size was validated by the indicators. As an empirical case, the approach was then applied to identify the stages of cancers with a small labeled sample size. The experimental results verified that the proposed approach achieved a greater accuracy than traditional methods. This research was an attempt to transform the classical statistical machine-learning classification method based on original samples into a deep-learning classification method based on data augmentation. The use of this approach will contribute to an expansion of application scenarios for the new generation of artificial intelligence based on deep learning, and to an increase in application effectiveness. | 8 | Branched tetraether lipids in Chinese soils:Evaluating the fidelity of MBT/CBT proxies as paleoenvironmental proxies显示文摘The ubiquitous occurrence of branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers(br GDGTs) in soils has allowed development of new proxies for reconstruction of past climate and environment. The methylation and cyclization degrees of br GDGTs, expressed as MBT and CBT, respectively, are reported to be mainly controlled by mean annual air temperature(MAAT) and soil p H. However, the br GDGT-derived temperatures and soil p H scatter widely when data from different environmental conditions are considered. In this study, we collected over 300 soil samples from China, which are representative of humid(Xishuangbanna, Guangzhou, and Shanghai), semi-arid(Dongying) and semi-arid/arid(Lanzhou, Tibetan Plateau) regions. Collectively we have the most extensive dataset that broadly characterizes the distribution of br GDGTs according to climate zones in China. The overall data demonstrate that the MBT/CBT derived temperatures better match the measured MAATs in humid and non-alkaline regions than those from regions of low MAP(<400 mm/yr) and above neutral soil p H(>7.0–7.5). Similarly, CBT describes soil p H much better in humid and non-alkaline soils than in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils; the semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils tend to show a positive correlation between soil p H and CBT, which contradicts that in the humid and non-alkaline soils. While soil p H, MAAT and mean annual precipitation(MAP) are dominating factors controlling the br GDGT distribution across all climate zones, conductivity, total organic carbon and total nitrogen, as well as soil water content can also play an important role locally. Removing br GDGT-II resulted in a revised CBT index that provides more accurate estimation of p H, especially in semi-arid/arid and alkaline soils. | 9 | Ground Surface Ruptures and Near-Fault,Large-Scale Displacements Caused by the Wenchuan Ms8.0 Earthquake Derived from Pixel Offset Tracking on Synthetic Aperture Radar Images显示文摘The 12 May 2008 Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake produced surface displacements along the causative fault,the Yingxiu-Beichuan Fault,which are up to several meters near the fault.Because of the large gradient,satellite synthetic aperture radar(SAR) interferometric data are strongly incoherent;the usual SAR interferometry method does not allow such displacements to be measured.In the present study,we employed another approach,the technique based on pixel offset tracking,to solve this problem.The used image data of six tracks are from the Advanced Land Observing Satellite,Phased Array type L-band Synthetic Aperture Radar(ALOS/PALSAR) dataset of Japan.The results show that the entire surface rupture belt is 238 km long,extending almost linearly in a direction of 42° north-east.It is offset left laterally by a north-west-striking fault at Xiaoyudong,and turns at Gaochuan,where the rupture belt shifts toward the south by 5 km,largely keeping the original trend.In terms of the features of the rupture traces,the rupture belt can be divided into five sections and three types.Among them,the Beichuan-Chaping and Hongkou-Yingxiu sections are relatively complex,with large widths and variable traces along the trend.The Pingtong-Nanba and Qingping-Jingtang sections appear uniform,characterized by straight traces and small widths.West of Yingxiu,the rupture traces are not clear.North of the rupture belt,surface displacements are 2.95 m on average,mostly 2-3.5 m,with 7-9 m the maximum near Beichuan.South of the rupture belt,the average displacement is 1.75 m,dominated by 1-2 m,with 3-4 m at a few sites.In the north,the displacements in the radar line of sight are of subsidence,and in the south,they are uplifted,in accordance with a right-slip motion that moves the northern wall of the fault to the east,and the southern wall to the west,respectively.Along the Guanxian-Jiangyou Fault,there is a uplift zone in the radar line of sight,which is 66 km long,1.5-6 km wide,and has vertical displacements of approximately 2 m,but no observable rupture traces. | QU Chunyan SHAN Xinjian LIU Yunhua ZHANG Guohong SONG Xiaogang ZHANG Guifang GUO Liming HAN Yufei | 2012 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2012,86,2: | 10 |
| 10 | Degree of Brine Evaporation and Origin of the Mengyejing Potash Deposit:Evidence from Fluid Inclusions in Halite显示文摘The Mengyejing potash deposit is located in the southern port of the Simao Basin, Yunnan Province, and is hosted in mid-Cretaceous strata. The chemical compositions of fluid inclusions in halite crystals, collected from the level-610 adit in the deposit, were analysed by laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(LA-ICP-MS). The results show that the brine is of the Na-K-Mg-Ca-Cl type and has K concentrations that are distinctly higher than those of Mg and Ca, unlike normal brines associated with Cretaceous halite. The high K concentrations indicate that the degree of evaporation of the ancient Mengyejing saline lake was very high, reaching the sylvite deposition stage but rarely reaching the carnallite deposition stage. The trajectory of the H and O isotopic compositions of the brines in the halite-hosted fluid inclusions corresponds to intense evaporation, indicating that the net evaporation exceeded the net inflow of brines. These brine compositions in halite-hosted fluid inclusions were likely formed by the dissolution of previously deposited K-bearing minerals by fresh continental and/or seawater, forming a type of modified seawater, with deep hydrothermal fluids potentially supplying additional potassium. | 12 | Dynamic changes of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 axis during microglial activation and motor neuron loss in the spinal cord of ALS mouse model显示文摘Background:Neuron-microglia communication plays a crucial role in the motor neurons(MNs)death in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS).Neurons can express chemokine(C-X3-C motif)ligand 1(CX3CL1),which mediates microglial activation via interacting with its sole receptor CX3CR1 in microglia.In the present study,we aimed to investigate the dynamic changes of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 axis during microglial activation and MNs loss in SOD1G93A mouse model of ALS.Methods:qPCR,western blot and immunofluorescent staining were used to examine the mRNA and protein levels and localization of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 in the anterior horn region of spinal cord in both SOD1G93A mice and their agematched wild type(WT)littermates at 40,60,90 and 120 days of age.The M1/M2 microglial activation in the spinal cord tissues of SOD1G93A mice and WT mice were evaluated by immunofluorescent staining of M1/M2 markers and further confirmed by qPCR analysis of M1/M2-related cytokines.Results:The immunofluorescent staining revealed that CX3CL1 was predominately expressed in MNs,while CX3CR1 was highly expressed in microglia in the anterior horn region of spinal cord.Compared with age-matched WT mice,CX3CL1 mRNA level was elevated at 40 days but decreased at 90 and 120 days in the anterior horn region of spinal cords in ALS mice.Consistently,CX3CR1 mRNA level was increased at 90 and 120 days.Western blot assay further confirmed the dynamic changes of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 axis in ALS mice.Additionally,the levels of M1/M2 markers of microglia and their related cytokines in the anterior horn region of spinal cord in ALS mice were increased at 90 and 120 days.Moreover,while M1-related cytokines in ALS mice were persistently increased at 120 days,the upregulated M2-related cytokines started to decline at 120 days,suggesting an altered microglial activation.Conclusions:Our data revealed the dynamic changes of CX3CL1/CX3CR1 axis and an imbalanced M1/M2 microglial activation during ALS pathological progression.These findings may help identify potential molecular targets for ALS therapy. | Jingjing Zhang Yufei Liu Xinyao Liu Song Li Cheng Cheng Sheng Chen Weidong Le | 2018 | Translational Neurodegeneration2018,7,1: | 7 |

Over the past 16 years, genetic, biochemical and computational approaches have greatly shaped the growth of the field, leading to the identification of thousands of miRNA genes in nearly all metazoans. The key molecular machinery for miRNA biogenesis and silencing has been identified, yet the precise biochemical and regulatory mechanisms still remain elusive. However, recent findings have shed new light on how miRNAs are generated and how they function to repress gene expression. miRNAs provide a paradigm for endogenous small RNAs that mediate gene silencing at a genome-wide level. The gene silencing mediated by these small RNAs constitutes a major component of gene regu- lation during various developmental and physiological processes. Results of data analyses demonstrated high coefficients of phenotypic variation(PCV) and heritability(H2) for H, BD and CL at 18 years after introduction. PCV and H2 increased with age. Correlations of growth traits between any two growth years were all significantly positive, but the correlation coefficient was smaller when the growth year interval was larger. Correlations between H and the original environment factors decreased gradually, indicating that with long-term subsistence in the new environment, the influence of the source environment declined.
