| 2 | A comprehensive analysis of the Bencao(herbal)small RNA Atlas reveals novel RNA therapeutics for treating human diseases显示文摘Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences.We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://gffzz4a3adbfa122d4a47hncuvubbv6n0o6up0.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering,and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools,our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas,part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated,suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines.We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions.Moreover,the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction,demonstrated potent medical effects.We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index,including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine.The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine,and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine. | Yinghao Cao Yexuan Lin Na Sun Xinyi Du Yixin Dong Song Mei Xingyu Deng Xiaobei Li Shaoting Guo Kegong Tang Jiaqi Liu Xiangyu Qiao Dandan Zhao Yuhao Qin Cong Zhang Tianyi Xin Xiaohu Shi Congzhao Zhou Tao Dong De-an Guo Benedikt MKessler Dong Xu Jingyuan Song Fengming Huang Xiaoyue Wang Chengyu Jiang | 2023 | Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10: | 2 |
| 3 | The relationships among structure variables of larch forests in China显示文摘Background:Larch(Larix Mill.)forests are widely distributed in the upper parts of mountainous areas in China,playing vital roles in constructing mountain landscapes and maintaining mountain environments.Despite their importance,our knowledges on the large-scale patterns of structure characteristics and the relationships between different structure variables are unclear.In this paper,we investigated 155 plots from 11 natural larch forest types across the country to explore the biogeographic patterns of the structure characteristics and the allometric relationships between different structure variables for Chinese larch forests.Results:The structure characteristics were significantly different among larch forest types.For different larch forest types,the power function fits the relationships between tree height and diameter at breast height(DBH),average DBH and stem density,and taper and stem density well,but with different exponents among larch forest types.The power exponents of the allometric relationships between tree height and DBH for different larch forest types varied from 0.61 to 0.93(mean=0.86)by standard major axis regression(SMA),and from 0.51 to 0.78(mean=0.56)by ordinary least square regression(OLS).The 50%,75%and 95%quantile regression(QR)and OLS indicated that the average DBH and taper of the L.gmelinii forests,L.gmelinii var.principis-rupprechtii forests,and L.sibirica forests were significantly correlated with stem density.Conclusions:The relationship between tree height and DBH showed a power function relationship for all larch forest types in China,but with different exponents.Overall,stem density was negatively correlated with average DBH and taper.The Sect.Larix forests exhibited stand density effect.Our findings provide an important basis for recognizing the biogeographic patterns of structure factors and for the management of larch forests in China. | Wenjing Fang Qing Zhao Qiong Cai Anwar Eziz Guoping Chen Yuhao Feng Heng Zhang Jiangling Zhu Chengjun Ji Zhiyao Tang Jingyun Fang | 2020 | Forest Ecosystems2020,7,4: | 2 |

| 6 | MR-seq:measuring a single cell's transcriptome repeatedly by RNA-seq显示文摘We described a novel single-cell RNA-seq technique called MR-seq(measure a single-cell transcriptome repeatedly),which permits statistically assessing the technical variation and identifying the differentially expressed genes between just two single cells by measuring each single cell twice. We demonstrated that MR-seq gave sensitivity and reproducibility similar to the standard single-cell RNA-seq and increased the positive predicate value. Application of MR-seq to early mouse embryos identified hundreds of candidate intra-embryonic heterogeneous genes among mouse 2-,4-and 8-cell stage embryos. | 7 | Stable cycling of practical high-voltage LiCoO_(2)pouch cell via electrolyte modification显示文摘Nitriles as efficient electrolyte additives are widely used in high-voltage lithium-ion batteries.However,their working mechanisms are still mysterious,especially in practical high-voltage LiCoO_(2)pouch lithium-ion batteries.Herein,we adopt a tridentate ligandcontaining 1,3,6-hexanetricarbonitrile(HTCN)as an effective electrolyte additive to shed light on the mechanism of stabilizing high-voltage LiCoO_(2)cathode(4.5 V)through nitriles.The LiCoO_(2)/graphite pouch cells with the HTCN additive electrolyte possess superior cycling performance,90%retention of the initial capacity after 800 cycles at 25℃,and 72%retention after 500 cycles at 45℃,which is feasible for practical application.Such an excellent cycling performance can be attributed to the stable interface:The HTCN molecules with strong electron-donating ability participate in the construction of cathode-electrolyte interphase(CEI)through coordinating with Co ions,which suppresses the decomposition of electrolyte and improves the structural stability of LiCoO_(2)during cycling.In summary,the work recognizes a coordinating-based interphase-forming mechanism as an effective strategy to optimize the performance of high voltage LiCoO_(2)cathode with appropriate electrolyte additives for practical pouch batteries. | Chao Tang Yawei Chen Zhengfeng Zhang Wenqiang Li Junhua Jian Yulin Jie Fanyang Huang Yehu Han Wanxia Li Fuping Ai Ruiguo Cao Pengfei Yan Yuhao Lu Shuhong Jiao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,3: | 0 |

| 9 | Method for the extraction of circulating nucleic acids based on MOF reveals cell-free RNA signatures in liver cancer显示文摘Cell-free RNA(cf RNA) allows assessment of health, status, and phenotype of a variety of human organs and is a potential biomarker to non-invasively diagnose numerous diseases. Nevertheless, there is a lack of highly efficient and bias-free cf RNA isolation technologies due to the low abundance and instability of cf RNA.Here, we developed a reproducible and high-efficiency isolation technology for different types of cell-free nucleic acids(containing cf RNA and viral RNA) in serum/plasma based on the inclusion of nucleic acids by metal-organic framework(MOF) materials, which greatly improved the isolation efficiency and was able to preserve RNA integrity compared with the most widely used research kit method. Importantly, the quality of cf RNA extracted by the MOF method is about 10-fold that of the kit method, and the MOF method isolates more than three times as many different RNA types as the kit method. The whole transcriptome mapping characteristics of cf RNA in serum from patients with liver cancer was described and a cf RNA signature with six cf RNAs was identified to diagnose liver cancer with high diagnostic efficiency(area under curve = 0.905 in the independent validation cohort) using this MOF method. | 11 | LAT1 targeted brain delivery of temozolomide and sorafenib for effective glioma therapy显示文摘Glioma is the most common primary craniocerebral tumor caused by the cancerous growth of glial cells in the brain and spinal cord.Currently,standard treatment is the surgical resection followed by concurrent radiation and chemotherapy.However,the blood-brain barrier(BBB)prevents most antitumor drugs from entering the brain and reduces their efficacy,especially in lowgrade glioma.Since L-type amino acid transporter 1(LAT1)is highly expressed in glioma cells and mediates drug transport across the BBB,it is a promising target for drug delivery and treatment of glioma.Temozolomide(TMZ)is the first-line treatment for glioma,however,patients often exhibit drug resistance at advanced stage.A multikinase inhibitor and inducer of ferroptosis,sorafenib can improve the therapeutic effects of TMZ.Therefore,to optimize the glioma treatment and cross the BBB,we designed LAT1-targeting nanoparticles co-loaded with TMZ and sorafenib.Our results from both in vitro and in vivo studies confirmed that LAT1-targeting nanoparticles significantly increased the cellular uptake,cytotoxicity,accumulation at tumor site,and the anti-tumor efficacy compared to the non-target nanoparticles.Therefore,LAT1 can be used as a potential target for braintargeted drug delivery,and sorafenib-induced ferroptosis can aid the anti-glioma efficacy of TMZ. | Yufei Zhang Qian Cheng Yuhao Xue Kai Yao Madiha Zahra Syeda Jian Xu Jianheng Wu Zhenjie Wang Longguang Tang Qingchun Mu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,7: | 0 |
| 12 | 中国落叶栎林群落结构特征及气候和人类活动的影响显示文摘落叶栎林是中国温带地区和亚热带山地典型的植被类型之一。虽然已有大量关于中国落叶栎林的群落结构特征研究,但以往研究多局限于局域尺度或单个类群,而在国家尺度上的系统性研究较为缺乏。本文采用统一的调查方法获取682个天然落叶栎林样方数据,基于此数据分析了我国落叶栎林的群落结构特征及其空间格局,探究了影响其特征的气候和人为因素。研究结果表明,中国落叶栎林乔木层的平均胸径、平均树高、平均林分密度和平均总胸高断面积分别为:13.7 cm、10.0 m、1468株/ha和24.3 m^(2)/ha。落叶栎林乔木层、灌木层和草本层的平均物种丰富度分别为:6种/600 m^(2)、10种/100 m^(2)和4种/1 m^(2)。随纬度的升高,落叶栎林平均树高、林分密度、总胸高断面积、乔木层物种丰富度和灌木层物种丰富度均呈现显著降低趋势,林分平均胸径无显著变化,而草本层物种丰富度呈现显著增加趋势。进一步分析发现,相比于林分密度和草本层物种丰富度,气候和人类活动可以更多地解释平均胸径、平均树高、总胸高断面积、乔木层物种丰富度和灌木层物种丰富度的空间分异。此外,与降水相关的气候因子在塑造群落结构特征的空间格局方面起着更为重要的作用。总之,本研究为认识中国落叶栎林群落结构特征的生物地理格局及其对全球变化的响应提供了基础。 | Guoping Chen Qiong Cai Wenjing Fang Yuhao Feng Jiangling Zhu Chengjun Ji Zhiyao Tang Jingyun Fang | 2022 | Journal of Plant Ecology2022,15,2: | 0 |
