1A botanical medicine dragon’s blood exhibited clinical antithrombosis efficacy similar to low molecular weight heparin显示文摘Deep vein thrombosis(DVT)is a common complication following traumatic fracture with a 0.5%–1%annual incidence.Low molecular weight heparin(LMWH)is the most commonly used anticoagulation drug for DVT prevention,but treatment with LMWH is invasive.Our aim is to compare the antithrombotic effect of dragon’s blood,an oral botanical anticoagulant medicine approved by the Chinese FDA,with LMWH in patients undergoing hip fracture surgery and to explore the molecular mechanisms of anticoagulation treatment.Our study recruited patients and divided them into LMWH and dragon’s blood treatment group.Coagulation index tests,Doppler ultrasound and mRNA sequencing were performed before and after anticoagulation therapy.There was no significant difference in postoperative DVT incidence between the two groups(23.1%versus 15.4%,P=0.694).D-dimer(D-D)and fibrinogen degradation product(FDP)showed significant reductions in both groups after anticoagulation treatments.We identified SLC4A1,PROS1,PRKAR2B and seven other genes as being differentially expressed during anticoagulation therapy in both groups.Genes correlated with coagulation indexes were also identified.Dragon’s blood and LMWH showed similar effects on DVT and produced similar gene expression changes in patients undergoing hip fracture surgery,indicating that dragon’s blood is a more convenient antithrombosis medicine(oral)than LMWH(hypodermic injection).Jiangbin Liang Song Mei Xiangyu Qiao Wei Pan Yan Zhao Shaohui Shi Yaling Zhai Haizhao Wen Guoping Wu Chengyu Jiang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,10:4
2A comprehensive analysis of the Bencao(herbal)small RNA Atlas reveals novel RNA therapeutics for treating human diseases显示文摘Cross-kingdom herbal mi RNA was first reported in 2012.Using a modified herbal extraction protocol,we obtained 73,677,287sequences by RNA-seq from 245 traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),of which 20,758,257 were unique sequences.We constructed a Bencao(herbal)small RNA(s RNA)Atlas(http://gffzz4a3adbfa122d4a47hxvcwcu9bvfp96cuu.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn),annotated the sequences by sequence-based clustering,and created a nomenclature system for Bencao s RNAs.The profiles of 21,757 mi RNAs in the Atlas were highly consistent with those of plant mi RNAs in mi RBase.Using software tools,our results demonstrated that all human genes might be regulated by s RNAs from the Bencao s RNA Atlas,part of the predicted human target genes were experimentally validated,suggesting that Bencao s RNAs might be one of the main bioactive components of herbal medicines.We established roadmaps for oligonucleotide drugs development and optimization of TCM prescriptions.Moreover,the decoctosome,a lipo-nano particle consisting of 0.5%–2.5%of the decoction,demonstrated potent medical effects.We propose a Bencao(herbal)Index,including small-molecule compounds(SM),protein peptides(P),nucleic acid(N),non-nucleic and non-proteinogenic large-molecule compounds(LM)and elements from Mendeleev's periodic table(E),to quantitatively measure the medical effects of botanic medicine.The Bencao s RNA Atlas is a resource for developing gene-targeting oligonucleotide drugs and optimizing botanical medicine,and may provide potential remedies for the theory and practice of one medicine.Yinghao Cao Yexuan Lin Na Sun Xinyi Du Yixin Dong Song Mei Xingyu Deng Xiaobei Li Shaoting Guo Kegong Tang Jiaqi Liu Xiangyu Qiao Dandan Zhao Yuhao Qin Cong Zhang Tianyi Xin Xiaohu Shi Congzhao Zhou Tao Dong De-an Guo Benedikt MKessler Dong Xu Jingyuan Song Fengming Huang Xiaoyue Wang Chengyu Jiang 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,10:2
3Size-resolved effective density of submicron particles during summertime in the rural atmosphere of Beijing, China显示文摘Particle density is an important physical property of atmospheric particles.The information on high time-resolution size-resolved particle density is essential for understanding the atmospheric physical and chemical aging processes of aerosols particles.In the present study,a centrifugal particle mass analyzer(CPMA) combined with a differential mobility analyzer(DMA) was deployed to determine the size-resolved effective density of 50 to 350 nm particles at a rural site of Beijing during summer 2016.The measured particle effective densities decreased with increasing particle sizes and ranged from 1.43 to 1.55 g/cm^3,on average.The effective particle density distributions were dominated by a mode peaked at around 1.5 g/cm^3 for 50 to350 nm particles.Extra modes with peaks at 1.0,0.8,and 0.6 g/cm3 for 150,240,and 350 nm particles,which might be freshly emitted soot particles,were observed during intensive primary emissions episodes.The particle effective densities showed a diurnal variation pattern,with higher values during daytime.A case study showed that the effective density of Aitken mode particles during the new particle formation(NPF) event decreased considerably,indicating the significant contribution of organics to new particle growth.Kai Qiao Zhijun Wu Xiangyu Pei Qianyun Liu Dongjie Shang Jing Zheng Zhuofei Du Wenfei Zhu Yusheng Wu Shengrong Lou Song Guo Chak K.Chan Ravi Kant Pathak Mattias Hallquist Min Hu 2018Journal of Environmental Sciences2018,30,11:2
4Analysis of equilibria in the doubly synchronous binary asteroid systems concerned with non-spherical shape显示文摘This paper investigates the equilibria and their stabilities in the doubly synchronous binary asteroid systems,which are modelled as the two tri-axial ellipsoids with various shape and system parameters.Particularly,the influences of shape and system parameters on equilibria are discussed analytically.Firstly,the geometrical models of doubly synchronous binary asteroid systems are established.The dual second degree and order gravity fleld is employed to approximate the gravitational potential of the system.Six shape and system parameters are deflned.Then,based on the linearized perturbation equations,the explicit expressions of the offsets of equilibria in doubly synchronous systems are derived,which clearly ilustrate the relationship between the distribution of equilibria and the variations of shape parameters.Further,the approximate expressions are applied to estimate the ftets of equilibria due to parameter etrors,respectively.Finally,in order to have a better insight into the equilibriaum structure,the sabiltis of equilibrisa under diferent system parameters are investigated.In particular,critical regions of triangular equilibria are calculated and the role of the relative distance on the stability is discussed in detail.This study could provide a preliminary analysis of equilibria for the mission design in doubly synchronous binary asteroid systems.Xiangyu Li Dong Qiao M.A.Barucci 2018Astrodynamics2018,2,2:2
5Mission Design of an Aperture-Synthetic Interferometer System for Space-Based Exoplanet Exploration显示文摘In recent years,exoplanet detection has become the technological frontier in the field of astronomy,because it provides evidence of the origin of life and the future human habitable exoplanet.Deploying several satellites to form an aperture-synthetic interferometer system in space may help discover“another Earth”via interferometry and midinfrared broadband spectroscopy.This paper analyzes a space-based exoplanet exploration mission in terms of the scientific background,mission profile,trajectory design,and orbital maintenance.First,the system architecture and working principle of the interferometer system are briefly introduced.Secondly,the mission orbit and corresponding transfer trajectories are discussed.The halo orbit near the Sun-Earth L2(SEL2)orbit is chosen as the candidate mission orbit.The low-energy transfer via stable invariant manifold with multiple perigees is designed,and the proper launch windows are presented.A speed increment less than 10 m/s is imposed for each transfer to achieve the insertion of the halo orbit.Finally,the tangent targeting method(TTM)is applied for high-precision formation maintenance with the whole velocity increments of less than 5×10^(−4)m/s for each spacecraft when the error bound is 0.1 m.The overall fuel budget during the mission period is evaluated and compared.The design in this paper will provide technical support and reliable reference for future exoplanet exploration missions.Feida Jia Xiangyu Li Zhuoxi Huo Dong Qiao 2022Space(Science & Technology)2022,,1:1
6Effect of orbital shadow at an Earth-Moon Lagrange point on relay communication mission显示文摘The shadow effect is an important constraint to be considered during the implementation of exploration missions. In this paper, for the Earth-Moon Lagrange point L2 relay communication mission, shadow effect issues on a periodic orbit about L2 are investigated. A systematic analysis based on the time domain and phase space is performed including the distribution, duration, and frequency of shadows. First, the LindstedtPoincare and second-order differential correction methods are used in conjunction with the DE421 planetary ephemeris to achieve a mission trajectory family in a high-precision ephemeris model. Next, on the basis of a conical shadow model, the influence of different orbital phases and amplitudes on the shadow is analyzed. The distribution of the shadow is investigated as well. Finally, the configuration of the shadow and its characteristics are studied. 9Interplanetary transfer optimization using cost function with variable coecients显示文摘In this paper,the optimal interplanetary transfer including planetary escape and capture phases is investigated in the heliocentric frame.Based on primer vector theory,a modi ed cost function with variable coecients is developed to re ect the gravitational e ect more precisely.The necessary conditions as well as the transversality conditions of the new cost function are derived to search the optimal solution in xed-time.By introducing the initial and nal coasts,the optimal interplanetary transfer is extended to the time-free situation.Finally,the proposed method is applied to the Earth-Mars and Earth-Asteroid transfer.Comparisons with existing methods show that the proposed method can provide better transfer performances with high eciency.The proposed method extends the application of primer vector theory and provides a fast and accurate reference for preliminary mission design in spacecraft planetary exploration.Xiangyu Li Dong Qiao Hongbo Chen 2019Astrodynamics2019,3,2:1

12Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND 14Efficient optimization method for variable-specific-impulse low-thrust trajectories with shutdown constraint显示文摘This paper develops a sequential convex programming(SCP)-based method to solve the minimum-fuel variable-specific-impulse low-thrust transfer problem considering shutdown constraint,with emphasize on improving the computational efficiency.The variable parameter engine is more applicable for many low-thrust scenarios,therefore,both a continuously variable model and a ladder variable model are adopted.First,the original problem is convexified by processing the constraint feasible domain,which is composed of the nonlinear dynamic equations and second-order equality constraint,into convex sets.Then,the approximation is generated to close the optimal solution of the low-thrust problem by iteratively solving the convexified subproblem.Moreover,the switching self-detection and adaptive node refinement methods are presented,which can improve the accuracy of the solution and accelerate the convergence during the approximation process and is especially necessary and effective in the scenarios with shutdown constraint.In numerical simulations,the comparison with the homotopic approach shows that the proposed method only needs 4%computational time as that of the homotopic approach,and two variable-specificimpulse examples further demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.JIA FeiDa QIAO Dong HAN HongWei LI XiangYu 2022Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,3:0
15Herbal small RNAs in patients with COVID-19 linked to reduced DEG expression显示文摘In China,more than 80%of patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)received traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)as a treatment and their clinical efficacy have been reported.However,the underlying molecular mechanism remains unclear.Previous studies have identified herbal small RNAs(s RNAs)as novel functional components.In this study,a cohort of 22patients with COVID-19 treated with Toujie Quwen(TQ)granules was analyzed.We observed thousands of herbal small RNAs that entered the blood cells of patients after the consumption of TQ granules.In response to this treatment,the reduced differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were highly correlated with the predicted target genes of the most prevalent herbal s RNAs detected in the blood.Moreover,the predicted target genes of the top 30 s RNAs from each of the 245 TCMs in the Bencao s RNA Atlas overlapped with 337 upregulated DEGs in patients with mild COVID-19,and 33 TCMs,with more than 50%overlapping genes were identified as effective TCMs.These predicted target genes of top 30 s RNAs from Juhong,Gualoupi and Foshou were confirmed experimentally.Our results not only elucidated a novel molecular mechanism of TCM potential clinical efficacy for COVID-19 patients,but also provided 33 effective COVID-19 TCMs for prescription optimization.Xiangyu Qiao Fengming Huang Xiaohu Shi Xingyu Deng Cong Zhang Song Mei Zhiqing Wang Congzhao Zhou Chengyu Jiang Xinghua Tan 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,6:0

17Geophysical and orbital environments of asteroid 4692192016 HO3显示文摘Asteroid 469219 Kamo'oalewa,also named 2016 HO3,is a small-size fast-rotating near-Earth asteroid,which is a potential target for future explorations.Owing to its weak gravity and fast spin rate,the dynamics on the surface or in the vicinity of 2016 HO3 are significantly different from those of planets or other small bodies explored in previous missions.In this study,the geophysical and orbital environments of 2016 HO3 were investigated to facilitate a potential mission design.First,the geormnetric and geopotential topographies of 2016 HO3 were examined using difterent shape models.The liftoff and escape conditions on its fast-rotating surface were investigated.Then,the periodic orbits around 2016 HO3 were studied in the asteroid-fixed frame and the Sun-asteroid frame considering the solar radiation pressure.The stable regions of the terminator orbits were discussed using different parameters.Finally,the influence of the nonspherical shape on the terminator orbits was examined.The precise terminator orbits around a real shape model of 2016 HO3 were obtained and verified in the high-fidelity model.This study shows that the polar region of 2016 HO3 is the primary region for landing or sampling,and the terminator orbits are well suited for global mapping and measurements of 2016 HO3.The analysis and methods can also serve as references for the exploration of other small fast-rotating bodies.Xiangyu Li Daniel J.Scheeres Dong Qiao Zixuan Liu 2023Astrodynamics2023,7,1:0
18Analytical configuration uncertainty propagation of geocentric interferometric detection constellation显示文摘Long-term configuration stability is essential for an interferometric detection constellation(IDC),which is closely related to initial uncertainty.Therefore,it is vital to evaluate the uncertainty and characterize the configuration stability.In this study,an analytical method was developed for the configuration uncertainty propagation of a geocentric triangular IDC.The angular momentum and the argument latitude were found to be significantly affected by the initial uncertainty and were selected as the core variables.By averaging the perturbation in one revolution,an analytical solution was proposed for propagating the core orbital elements in one revolution.Subsequently,the analytical solution of the orbit elements during the mission period is obtained by multiplying the solutions in iterative revolutions.The relationship between the selected orbital elements and the configuration stability parameters was established using an analytical solution.The effects of the initial uncertainty in different directions on the configuration and stable domains were studied.Simulations show that the developed method is highly efficient and accurate in predicting the configuration stability.The relative error with respect to the Monte Carlo simulations was less than 3%with a time consumption of 0.1%.The proposed method can potentially be useful for constellation design and stability analysis.Dong Qiao Xingyu Zhou Xiangyu Li 2023Astrodynamics2023,7,3:0
