1Spatiotemporal dynamic simulation of grassland carbon storage in China显示文摘Based on the Terrestrial Ecosystem Model(TEM 5.0), together with the data of climate(temperature, precipitation and solar radiation) and environment(grassland vegetation types, soil texture, altitude, longitude and latitude, and atmospheric CO2 concentration data), the spatiotemporal variations of carbon storage and density, and their controlling factors were discussed in this paper. The results indicated that:(1) the total carbon storage of China's grasslands with a total area of 394.93×104 km2 was 59.47 Pg C. Among them, there were 3.15 Pg C in vegetation and 56.32 Pg C in soil carbon. China's grasslands covering 7.0–11.3% of the total world's grassland area had 1.3–11.3% of the vegetation carbon and 9.7–22.5% of the soil carbon in the world grasslands. The total carbon storage increased from 59.13 to 60.16 Pg C during 1961–2013 with an increasing rate of 19.4 Tg C yr^(-1).(2) The grasslands in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau contributed most to the total carbon storage during 1961–2013, accounting for 63.2% of the total grassland carbon storage, followed by Xinjiang grasslands(15.8%) and Inner Mongolia grasslands(11.1%).(3) The vegetation carbon storage showed an increasing trend, with the average annual growth rate of 9.62 Tg C yr^(-1) during 1961–2013, and temperature was the main determinant factor, explaining approximately 85% of its variation. The vegetation carbon storage showed an increasing trend in most grassland regions, however, a decreasing trend in the central grassland in the southern China, the western and central parts of the Inner Mongolian grasslands as well as some parts on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. The soil carbon storage showed a significantly increasing trend with a rate of 7.96 Tg C yr^(-1), which resulted from the interaction of more precipitation and low temperature in the 1980 s and 1990 s. 2Variation of net primary productivity and its drivers in China’s forests during 2000-2018显示文摘Background:Net primary productivity(NPP)in forests plays an important role in the global carbon cycle.However,it is not well known about the increase rate of China’s forest NPP,and there are different opinions about the key factors controlling the variability of forest NPP.Methods:This paper established a statistics-based multiple regression model to estimate forest NPP,using the observed NPP,meteorological and remote sensing data in five major forest ecosystems.The fluctuation values of NPP and environment variables were extracted to identify the key variables influencing the variation of forest NPP by correlation analysis.Results:The long-term trends and annual fluctuations of forest NPP between 2000 and 2018 were examined.The results showed a significant increase in forest NPP for all five forest ecosystems,with an average rise of 5.2 gC·m-2·year-1 over China.Over 90%of the forest area had an increasing NPP range of 0-161 gC·m-2·year-1.Forest NPP had an interannual fluctuation of 50-269 gC.m-2·year-1 for the five major forest ecosystems.The evergreen broadleaf forest had the largest fluctuation.The variability in forest NPP was caused mainly by variations in precipitation,then by temperature fluctuations.Conclusions:All five forest ecosystems in China exhibited a significant increasing NPP along with annual fluctuations evidently during 2000-2018.The variations in China’s forest NPP were controlled mainly by changes in precipitation.Yuhe Ji Guangsheng Zhou Tianxiang Luo Yakir Dan Li Zhou Xiaomin Lv 2020Forest Ecosystems2020,7,2:8
3Insight into Medicinal Chemistry Behind Traditional Chinese Medicines: p-Hydroxybenzyl Alcohol-Derived Dimers and Trimers from Gastrodia elata显示文摘From an aqueous extract of“tian ma”(the steamed and dried rhizomes of Gastrodia elata),ten new compounds gastrodiben-zins A−D(1−4)and gastrotribenzins A−F(5−10),along with known analogues(11−20),having structure features coupling between two and three p-hydroxybenzyl-derived units via carbon-and/or ether-bonds,were isolated and characterized by spectroscopic data analysis.Meanwhile,the new compounds 5a,6a,8a,22,and 23,as well as the known derivatives 13a,14a,15,17−21,24,25,and p-hydroxybenzyl aldehyde were isolated and identified from a refluxed aqueous solution of p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol.Methylation of 5a and 6a in methanol and ethylation of 6a,8a,13a,and 14a in ethanol produced 5 and 6 and 7,8,13,and 14,respectively.using ultra-performance liquid chromatography high-resolution electrospray ioniza-tion mass spectrometry(UPLC-HRESIMS)analysis of the refluxed solutions of p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol and the refluxed extracts of the fresh G.elata rhizome and“tian ma”extracts indicated consistent production and variation of the dimeric and trimeric derivatives of p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol upon extracting solvents and refluxing time.In various assays,the dimeric and trimeric derivatives showed more potent activities than p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol itself and gastrodin,which are the main known active constituents of“tian ma”.These results revealed for the first time that the more effective dimers and trimers can be produced through condensation of the co-occurring p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol during processing and decocting of the G.elata rhizomes,demonstrating insights into medicinal chemistry behind application protocols of traditional Chinese medicines.Yanan Wang Min Zhang Xue Zhou Chengbo Xu Chenggen Zhu Yuhe Yuan Naihong Chen Yongchun Yang Qinglan Guo Jiangong Shi 2021Natural Products and Bioprospecting2021,11,1:6

7Hybrid gelatin/oxidized chondroitin sulfate hydrogels incorporating bioactive glass nanoparticles with enhanced mechanical properties, mineralization, and osteogenic differentiation显示文摘Biopolymer based hydrogels are characteristic of their biocompatibility and capability of mimicking extracellular matrix structure to support cellular behavior.However,these hydrogels suffer from low mechanical properties,uncontrolled degradation,and insufficient osteogenic activity,which limits their applications in bone regeneration.In this study,we developed hybrid gelatin(Gel)/oxidized chondroitin sulfate(OCS)hydrogels that incorporated mesoporous bioactive glass nanoparticles(MBGNs)as bioactive fillers for bone regeneration.Gel-OCS hydrogels could be self-crosslinked in situ under physiological conditions in the presence of borax.The incorporation of MBGNs enhanced the crosslinking and accelerated the gelation.The gelation time decreased with increasing the concentration of MBGNs added.Incorporation of MBGNs in the hydrogels significantly improved the mechanical properties in terms of enhanced storage modulus and compressive strength.The injectability of the hydrogels was not significantly affected by the MBGN incorporation.Also,the proliferation and osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells in vitro and rat cranial defect restoration in vivo were significantly promoted by the hydrogels in the presence of MBGNs.The hybrid Gel-OCS/MBGN hydrogels show promising potential as injectable biomaterials or scaffolds for bone regeneration/repair applications given their tunable degradation and gelation behavior as well as favorable mechanical behavior and osteogenic activities.Lei Zhou Lei Fan Feng-Miao Zhang Yuhe Jiang Min Cai Cong Dai Yi-An Luo Ling-Jie Tu Zheng-Nan Zhou Xiao-Jun Li Cheng-Yun Ning Kai Zheng Aldo R.Boccaccini Guo-Xin Tan 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:1

10Projection of Heat Injury to Single-Cropping Rice in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River, China under Future Global Warming Scenarios显示文摘Based on simulation results from the 16 CMIP5 model runs under three Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5) in combination with the recent five years of growth-stage data from agrometeorological observation stations in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, changes in heat injury and spatial distribution patterns of single-cropping rice in China during the early(2016–35), middle(2046–65), and late(2080–99) 21 st century were projected by using quantitative estimations. Relative to the reference period(1986–2005), the occurrence probabilities of heat injury to single-cropping rice under different RCP scenarios increased significantly, showing a trend of mild > moderate > severe. The occurrence probabilities increased with time and predicted emissions, especially the average and maximum occurrence probabilities, which were ~48% and ~80%,respectively, in the late 21 st century under the RCP8.5 scenario. The spatial patterns of the occurrence probabilities at each level of heat injury to single-cropping rice did not change, remaining high in the middle planting region and low in the east. The high-value areas were mainly in central Anhui and southeastern Hubei provinces, and the areas extended to the northwest and northeast of the cultivation area over time. Under the RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5 scenarios, the total area of heat injury to single-cropping rice showed a significant linear increasing trend of 7.4 × 10~3, 19.9× 10~3, and 35.3 × 10~3 ha yr^(–1), respectively, from 2016 to 2099, and the areas of heat injury were greatest in the late21 st century, accounting for ~25%, ~40%, and ~59% of the cultivation area.Xiaomin LYU Guangsheng ZHOU Mengzi ZHOU Li ZHOU Yuhe JI 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,2:1
11A small microring array that performs large complex-valued matrix-vector multiplication显示文摘As an important computing operation,photonic matrix-vector multiplication is widely used in photonic neutral networks and signal processing.However,conventional incoherent matrix-vector multiplication focuses on real-valued operations,which cannot work well in complex-valued neural networks and discrete Fourier transform.In this paper,we propose a systematic solution to extend the matrix computation of microring arrays from the real-valued field to the complex-valued field,and from small-scale(i.e.,4×4)to large-scale matrix computation(i.e.,16×16).Combining matrix decomposition and matrix partition,our photonic complex matrix-vector multiplier chip can support arbitrary large-scale and complex-valued matrix computation.We further demonstrate Walsh-Hardmard transform,discrete cosine transform,discrete Fourier transform,and image convolutional processing.Our scheme provides a path towards breaking the limits of complex-valued computing accelerator in conventional incoherent optical architecture.More importantly,our results reveal that an integrated photonic platform is of huge potential for large-scale,complex-valued,artificial intelligence computing and signal processing.Junwei Cheng Yuhe Zhao Wenkai Zhang Hailong Zhou Dongmei Huang Qing Zhu Yuhao Guo Bo Xu Jianji Dong Xinliang Zhang 2022Frontiers of Optoelectronics2022,15,2:1
12Symptom burden in advanced breast cancer patients and its association between death anxiety and psychological distress显示文摘Objective:Recent research has documented psychological distress in advanced breast cancer(ABC)patients,but few studies have examined how death anxiety is affected by the symptom burden.Therefore,this study aims to explore the association among symptom burden,death anxiety and psychological distress(depression and anxiety)in ABC patients.Methods:This cross-sectional study used the Death and Dying Anxiety Scale(DADDS),9-item Patient Health Questionnaire(PHQ-9),General Anxiety Disorder-7(GAD-7)and MD Anderson Symptom Inventory(MDASI)to assess death anxiety,depression,anxiety,and symptom burden,respectively.Bias-corrected bootstrapping methods were used to estimate indirect effects and 95%confidence intervals.Results:Two hundred ABC patients completed the questionnaires.All of the respondents were females,with a mean age of 50±10 years.Initial correlation analyses revealed significant associations of death anxiety with depression(r=0.57,P<0.001),anxiety(r=0.60,P<0.001)and symptom burden(r=0.43,P<0.001).Moreover,depression(r=0.53,P<0.001)and anxiety(r=0.45,P<0.001)were significantly correlated with symptom burden.An analysis using Hayes’PROCESS macro revealed the partial effecting role of death anxiety in the relationship between depression and symptom burden,and between anxiety and symptom burden(contributions to the total effect of 0.247 and 0.469,respectively).Conclusions:This study provides insight into the relationship between death anxiety and symptom burden.The results suggest that interventions addressing death anxiety may be more effective for alleviating the depression and anxiety experienced by ABC patients with a symptom burden.Zhongge Su Yuhe Zhou Xinkun Han Ying Pang Shuangzhi He Lili Tang 2022Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,3:1
13A new regional vegetation mapping method based on terrain-climate-remote sensing and its application on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau显示文摘Understanding the impact of climate change on vegetation and its evolution trend requires long-term accurate data on regional vegetation types and their geographical distribution.Currently,land use and land cover types are mainly obtained based on remote sensing information.Little research has been conducted on remote sensing interpretation of vegetation types and their geographical distributions in terms of the comprehensive utilization of remote sensing,climate,and terrain.A new region vegetation mapping method based on terrain-climate-remote sensing was developed in this study,supported by the Google Earth Engine(GEE)and the random forest algorithm,which is a new generation of earth science data and analysis application platform,together with optimal vegetation mapping features obtained from the average impure reduction method and out-of-bag error value,using different information from remote sensing,climate,and terrain.This vegetation of Qinghai-Xizang Plateau with 10 m spatial resolution in 2020 was mapped,in terms of this new vegetation mapping method,Sentinel-2A/B remotely sensed images,climate,and terrain.The accuracy verification of vegetation mapping on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau showed an overall accuracy of 89.5%and a Kappa coefficient of 0.87.The results suggest that the regional vegetation mapping method based on terrain-climate-remote sensing proposed in this study can provide technical support for obtaining long-term accurate data on vegetation types and their geographical distributions on the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau and the globe.Guangsheng ZHOU Hongrui REN Tong LIU Li ZHOU Yuhe JI Xingyang SONG Xiaomin LV 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,2:0
14MoLrp1-mediated signaling induces nuclear accumulation of MoMsn2 to facilitate fatty acid oxidation for infectious growth of the rice blast fungus显示文摘Fatty acid b-oxidation is critical for fatty acid degradation and cellular development.In the rice blast fungus Magnaporthe oryzae,fatty acid b-oxidation is reported to be important mainly for turgor generation in the appressorium.However,the role of fatty acid b-oxidation during invasive hyphal growth is rarely documented.We demonstrated that blocking peroxisomal fatty acid b-oxidation impaired lipid droplet(LD)degradation and infectious growth of M.oryzae.We found that the key regulator of pathogenesis,MoMsn2,which we identified previously,is involved in fatty acid b-oxidation by targeting MoDCI1(encoding dienoyl-coenzyme A[CoA]isomerase),which is also important for LD degradation and infectious growth.Cytological observations revealed that MoMsn2 accumulated from the cytosol to the nucleus during early infection or upon treatment with oleate.We determined that the low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein MoLrp1,which is also involved in fatty acid b-oxidation and infectious growth,plays a critical role in the accumulation of MoMsn2 from the cytosol to the nucleus by activating the cyclic AMP signaling pathway.Our results provide new insights into the importance of fatty acid oxidation during invasive hyphal growth,which is modulated by MoMsn2 and its related signaling pathways in M.oryzae.Ting Zhang Xingyu Wang Xue Li Ya-Nan Li Yuhe Li Shuang Wu Lele Xu Ruiwen Zhou Jing Yang Guotian Li Xinyu Liu Xiaobo Zheng Zhengguang Zhang Haifeng Zhang 2023Plant Communications2023,4,4:0
15A New Model for Network Security Situation Assessment of the Industrial Internet显示文摘To address the problem of network security situation assessment in the Industrial Internet,this paper adopts the evidential reasoning(ER)algorithm and belief rule base(BRB)method to establish an assessment model.First,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of the Industrial Internet and selects evaluation indicators that contain not only quantitative data but also qualitative knowledge.Second,the evaluation indicators are fused with expert knowledge and the ER algorithm.According to the fusion results,a network security situation assessment model of the Industrial Internet based on the ER and BRB method is established,and the projection covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy(P-CMA-ES)is used to optimize the model parameters.This method can not only utilize semiquantitative information effectively but also use more uncertain information and prevent the problem of combinatorial explosion.Moreover,it solves the problem of the uncertainty of expert knowledge and overcomes the problem of low modeling accuracy caused by insufficient data.Finally,a network security situation assessment case of the Industrial Internet is analyzed to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the method.The research results showthat this method has strong applicability to the network security situation assessment of complex Industrial Internet systems.It can accurately reflect the actual network security situation of Industrial Internet systems and provide safe and reliable suggestions for network administrators to take timely countermeasures,thereby improving the risk monitoring and emergency response capabilities of the Industrial Internet.Ming Cheng Shiming Li Yuhe Wang Guohui Zhou Peng Han Yan Zhao 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,5:0
