| 1 | Export,subsidy and innovation:China’s state-owned enterprises versus privately-owned enterprises显示文摘In this study,we advance the literature on export and government subsidy by examining their effects in the context of China,a fastgrowing emerging economy,and comparing the effects across ownership of enterprises.We examine the relationship among export,government support and firms’innovation capability,and how these relationships differ between state-owned and private owned enterprises,by using a large data sample of Chinese firms(2003–2007).First,we find that there exists an inverted U-shaped relationship between export and innovation in state-owned enterprises,but not in private owned enterprises.Second,there is a positive effect of government subsidy on firms’innovation capability.Finally,from the sub-sample analyses,we identify differences in the impact of government support between SOEs and POEs.This study will inspire future research into these issues in the disciplines of marketing,management and international business. | Laijun Luo Yang Yang Yuze Luo Chang Liu | 2016 | Economic and Political Studies2016,4,2: | 4 |
| 2 | A post-GWAS confirming the genetic effects and functional polymorphisms of AGPAT3 gene on milk fatty acids in dairy cattle显示文摘Background: People are paying more attention to the healthy and balanced diet with the improvement of their living standards. Milk fatty acids(FAs) have been reported that they were related to some atherosclerosis and coronary heart diseases in human. In our previous genome-wide association study(GWAS) on milk FAs in dairy cattle, 83 genomewide significant single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) were detected. Among them, two SNPs, ARS-BFGL-NGS-109493 and BTA-56389-no-rs associated with C18 index(P = 0.0459), were located in the upstream of 1-acylglycerol-3-phosphate O-acyltransferase 3(AGPAT3) gene. AGPAT3 is involved in glycerol-lipid, glycerol-phospholipid metabolism and phospholipase D signaling pathways. Hence, it was inferred as a candidate gene for milk FAs. The aim of this study was to further confirm the genetic effects of the AGPAT3 gene on milk FA traits in dairy cattle.Results: Through re-sequencing the complete coding region, and 3000 bp of 5′ and 3′ regulatory regions of the AGPA T3 gene, a total of 17 SNPs were identified, including four in 5′ regulatory region, one in 5′ untranslated region(UTR),three in introns, one in 3′ UTR, and eight in 3′ regulatory region. By the linkage disequilibrium(LD) analysis with Haploview4.1 software, two haplotype blocks were observed that were formed by four and 12 identified SNPs,respectively. Using SAS9.2, we performed single locus-based and haplotype-based association analysis on 24 milk FAs in 1065 Chinese Holstein cows, and discovered that all the SNPs and the haplotype blocks were significantly associated with C6:0, C8:0 and C10:0(P < 0.0001–0.0384). Further, with Genomatix, we predicted that four SNPs in 5′ regulatory region(g.146702957 G > A, g.146704373 A > G, g.146704618 A > G and g.146704699 G > A) changed the transcription factor binding sites(TFBSs) for transcription factors SMARCA3, REX1, VMYB, BRACH, NKX26, ZBED4, SP1, USF1, ARNT and FOXA1. | 3 | Fast inverse covariance matrix computation based on element-order recursive method for space-time adaptive processing显示文摘Because of large computational complexity in the inverse space-time covariance matrix computation,the conventional space-time adaptive processing(STAP) is unsuitable for practical implementation. According to the block Hermitian matrix property of covariance matrix, a new element-order recursive method is proposed in this paper to calculate the inverse space-time covariance matrix for STAP weight vector. In the proposed method, the inverse space-time covariance matrix of first element-order is initially calculated recursively based on block Hermitian matrix property, and then the inverse space-time covariance matrix of high element-order is correspondingly deduced recursively based on obtained inverse covariance matrix of previous element-order.Finally, STAP weight vector is calculated based on the final inverse covariance matrix. Afterwards, a modified reduced-dimension STAP method is derived by combining the proposed method with the m-Doppler Transformation(m DT-SAP) STAP approach. Based on the simulated and the actual airborne phased array radar data, the proposed method verified that the computational complexity is much smaller than conventional STAP methods. | 12 | Using lithium isotopes to quantitatively decode continental weathering signal:A case study in the Changjiang(Yangtze River)Estuary显示文摘As the key link connecting the earth’s spheres,continental weathering plays an important role in regulating the global biogeochemical cycle and long-term climate change.Siliciclastic sediments derived from large river basins can record continental weathering and erosion signals,and are thus widely used to investigate weathering processes.However,sediment grain size,hydrodynamic sorting and sedimentary recycling complicate the interpretation of sediment weathering proxies.This study presents elemental and lithium isotope compositions of estuarine surface sediments(SS)and suspended particulate matters(SPM)collected from the Changjiang(Yangtze River)Estuary.Based on a simple mass balance model,the proportions of different end-members(i.e.,igneous rocks,modern weathering products and inherited weathering products)in sediments were quantitatively calculated and thus the silicate weathering process can be estimated.Overall,the sediments in the Changjiang Estuary are mainly eroded from un-weathered rock fragments(>60%),while modern weathering products account for less than 40%.The fine-grained SPM contain more shale components(52–66%),and the modern weathering products account for 21–40%.Comparatively,the coarse-grained surface sediments contain more un-weathered igneous rock fragments(63–84%)and less modern weathering products(only 4–18%).The comparison ofδ^(7)Li values with the weathering proxy(Chemical Index of Alteration,CIA)suggests that sediment weathering intensity declines with increasing proportion of un-weathered igneous rock fragments.Additionally,the occurrence of inherited weathering products(i.e.,shale)in modern sediments makes it a challenge to simply use CIA andδ^(7)Li as indicators of weathering intensity.This study confirms that fine-grained particles are more suitable for tracing contemporary weathering process,albeit with the influence of sedimentary recycling.Lithium isotopes combining with the mass balance model can quantitatively constrain the continental weathering processes in large river basins. | Fang CAO Shouye YANG Chengfan YANG Yulong GUO Lei BI Yuze LI | 2021 | Science China Earth Sciences2021,64,10: | 0 |

For this sake, few structure-preserving schemes have been proposed so far. In our work, based on one of the bi-Hamiltonian structures, a symplectic scheme and two new energy-preserving schemes are constructed. The symplecticity comes straightly from the application of the implicit midpoint method on the semi-discrete system which is proved to remain Hamiltonian, while the energy conservation is derived by the combination of the averaged vector field method of second and fourth order, respectively. | 16 | Robust and fast iterative sparse recovery method for space-time adaptive processing显示文摘Conventional space-time adaptive processing(STAP) requires large numbers of independent and identically distributed(i.i.d) training samples to ensure the performance of clutter suppression, which is hard to be achieved in practical complex nonhomogeneous environment. In order to improve the performance of clutter suppression with small training sample support, a robust and fast iterative sparse recovery method for STAP is proposed in this paper. In the proposed method, the sparse recovery of clutter spatial-temporal spectrum and the calibration of space-time overcomplete dictionary are achieved iteratively. Firstly, the robust solution of sparse recovery is derived by regularized processing, which can be calculated recursively based on the block Hermitian matrix property, afterwards the mismatch of space-time overcomplete dictionary is calibrated by minimizing the cost function. The proposed method can not only alleviate the effect of noise and dictionary mismatch, but also reduce the computational cost caused by direct matrix inversion. | 20 | Salinity elevates Cd bioaccumulation of sea rice cultured under co-exposure of cadmium and salt显示文摘Salt-tolerant rice (sea rice) is a key cultivar for increasing rice yields in salinity soil.The co-existence of salinity and cadmium (Cd) toxicities in the plant-soil system has become a great challenge for sustainable agriculture,especially in some estuaries and coastal areas.However,little information is available on the Cd accumulating features of sea rice under the co-stress of Cd and salinity.In this work,a hydroponic experiment with combined Cd(0,0.2,0.8 mg/L Cd^(2+)) and saline (0,0.6%,and 1.2%NaCl,W/V) levels and a pot experiment were set to evaluate the Cd toxic risks of sea rice.The hydroponic results showed that more Cd accumulated in sea rice than that in the reported high-Cd-accumulating rice,Chang Xianggu.It indicated an interesting synergistic effect between Cd and Na levels in sea rice,and the Cd level rose significantly with a concomitant increase in Na level in both shoot(r=0.54,p<0.01) and root (r=0.66,p<0.01) of sea rice.Lower MDA content was found in sea rice,implying that the salt addition probably triggered the defensive ability against oxidative stress.The pot experiment indicated that the coexistent Cd and salinity stress further inhibited the rice growth and rice yield,and the Cd concentration in rice grain was below 0.2 mg/kg.Collectively,this work provides a general understanding of the co-stress of Cd and salinity on the growth and Cd accumulation of sea rice.Additional work is required to precisely identify the phytoremediation potential of sea rice in Cd-polluted saline soil. | Xu Yang Jiachun Li Yuze Zheng Huashou Li Rongliang Qiu | 2023 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4: | 0 |
