The deubiquitinase OTUD1 inhibits colonic inflammation by suppressing RIPK1-mediated NF-κB signaling显示文摘The E3 ubiquitin ligase(E3)-mediated ubiquitination and deubiquitinase(DUB)-mediated deubiquitination processes are closely associated with the occurrence and development of colonic inflammation.Ovarian tumor deubiquitinase 1(OTUD1)is involved in immunoregulatory functions linked to infectious diseases. However, the effect of OTUD1 on intestinal immune responses during colonic inflammatory disorders such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD)remains unclear. Here,we show that loss of OTUD1 in mice contributes to the pathogenesis of dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-induced colitis via excessive release of proinflammatory cytokines. In addition, bone marrow transplantation experiments revealed that OTUD1 in hematopoietic cells plays a dominant role in protection against colitis.Mechanistically,OTUD1 physically interacts with receptor-interacting serine/threonine-protein kinase 1(RIPK1)and selectively cleaves K63-linked polyubiquitin chains from RIPK1 to inhibit the recruitment of NF-κB essential modulator(NEMO).Moreover, the expression of OTUD1 in mucosa samples from ulcerative colitis(UC)patients was lower than that in mucosa samples from healthy controls.Furthermore,we demonstrate that the UC-associated OTUD1 G430V mutation abolishes the ability of OTUD1 to inhibit RIPK1-mediated NF-κB activation and intestinal inflammation.Taken together, our study unveils a previously unexplored role of OTUD1 in moderating intestinal inflammation by inhibiting RIPK1-mediated NF-κB activation, suggesting that the OTUD1-RIPK1 axis could be a potential target for the treatment of IBD.Bo Wu Lihua Qiang Yong Zhang Yesheng Fu Mengyuan Zhao Zehui Lei Zhe Lu Yan-Ge Wei Hongmiao Dai Yingwei Ge Mingqiu Liu Xuemei Zhou Zhiqiang Peng Hongchang Li Chun-Ping Cui Jing Wang Hui Zheng Cui Hua Liu Lingqiang Zhang 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,2:3

Brain-like synaptic memristor based on lithiumdoped silicate for neuromorphic computing显示文摘Artificial synapse is one of the potential electronics for constructing neural network hardware. In this work,Pt/LiSiO_(x)/TiN analog artificial synapse memristor is designed and investigated. With the increase of compliance current(C.C.)under 0.6 mA,1 mA,and 3 mA,the current in the high resistance state(HRS)presents an increasing variation, which indicates lithium ions participates in the operation process for Pt/LiSiO_(x)/TiN memristor. Moreover, depending on the movement of lithium ions in the functional layer, the memristor illustrates excellent conduction modulation property,so the long-term potentiation(LTP)or depression(LTD)and paired-pulse facilitation(PPF)synaptic functions are successfully achieved. The neural network simulation for pattern recognition is proposed with the recognition accuracy of 91.4%.These findings suggest the potential application of the LiSiO_(x)memristor in the neuromorphic computing.Shanwu Ke Li Jiang Yifan Zhao Yongyue Xiao Bei Jiang Gong Cheng Facai Wu Guangsen Cao Zehui Peng Min Zhu Cong Ye 2022Frontiers of physics2022,17,5:1
Review on Wood Discoloration and its Control显示文摘This paper reviews the mechanisms, types, compositions, affecting factors, prevention and remediable treatments of wood discoloration, and especially puts forward the biological control against wood stain and wood induced coloration. The authors think the followings are important: 1) Developing the low poisonous ornon-toxic, high-efficient and multi-functional anti-stain chemicalsis still an important research direction to control wood discoloration. 2) It is still very necessary to remove wood stain and restore wood original color and commercial value. 3) The biological control has little environmental pollution and its cost is low. Researches on its theories and application should be strengthened. 4) Wood color can be induced and turned to be the needed through heat treatment or ultraviolet irradiation without coloring materials, i.e. induced coloration, is agood idea to modulatewood, bamboo or rattan cane color. It is becoming a new study field.JIANG Zehui LV Wenhua FEI Benhua REN Haiqing WU Yuzhang 2006Chinese Forestry Science and Technology2006,5,2:0
Abnormal anti-oxidation behavior of hexagonal boron nitride grown on copper显示文摘Atomic-layered hexagonal boron nitride(hBN)is expected to be the best two-dimensional(2D)anti-oxidation layer on metals for its incomparable impermeability, insulativity, and stability,as well as the progressive bottom-up growth techniques to ensure fast coating on metal surface in large area. However, its real anti-oxidation ability in practice is found to be unsatisfactory and nonuniform, and the main obstacle to achieving ideal anti-oxidation performance lies in unclear anti-oxidation behavior at special interface between 2D hBN and three-dimensional(3D)metals.Herein,system of monolayer hBN grown on copper(Cu)foils with various lattice orientations was grown to investigate the anti-oxidation behavior of different interlayer configurations.By using structural characterizations together with analysis of topography,we surprisingly found that stronger interlayer coupling led to worse anti-oxidation performance owing to fast diffusion of O2 through higher hBN corrugations generated at the commensurate hBN/Cu(111)configuration.In view of this,we developed the approach of cyclic reannealing that can effectively flatten corrugations and steps, and therefore improve the anti-oxidation performance to a great extent. This work provides a more indepth understanding of anti-oxidation behavior of 2D materials grown on 3D metals, and a practical method to pave the way for its large-scale applications in future.Li Wang Jiajie Qi Shuai Zhang Mingchao Ding Wei Wei Jinhuan Wang Zhihong Zhang Ruixi Qiao Zhibin Zhang Zehui Li Kehai Liu Ying Fu Hao Hong Can Liu Muhong Wu Wenlong Wang Jun He Yi Cui Qunyang Li Xuedong Bai Kaihui Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,8:0
Effects of processing parameters on microstructure of semi-solid magnesium alloy显示文摘In this paper, the effects of pouring temperature of magnesium melt, preheating temperature of the barrel of the screw mixer, and shear rate on the solidified microstructures of semi-solid slurry were investigated by a mechanical stirring semi-solid process. The appropriate processing parameters of slurry preparation were obtained, and the mold filling ability of semi-solid slurry for thin-walled casting was examined. Results indicate that the solid volume fraction of non-dendritic microstructure increases with a decrease in pouring temperature of magnesium melt and the barrel preheating temperature of the screw mixer. Also the grain size of primary α-phase is reduced. Furthermore, the solid volume fraction of semi-solid nondendritic structure decreases with an increase of shear rate. The fine and round granular microstructure with 30~50 μm in size of semi-solid AZ91D magnesium alloy was presented. Finally, a 1.0 mm thin-walled casting with a clear contour and good soundness was successfully made by semi-solid rheo-diecasting.Shusen WU Dongnan LI Youwu MAO Zehui XIAO Jirong LUO 2004China Foundry2004,1,1:0
Numerical Study of Convective and Radiation Heat Transfer Characteristics in an Upward-Facing Cylindrical Cavity under Back-Side Windy Condition显示文摘Under the back-side windy condition, the convection and radiation heat transfer characteristics in an iso-flux upward-facing cylindrical cavity were studied by three-dimensional numerical simulation. The impacts of cavity tilt angle, wind incident angle and wind speed on convection and radiation heat transfer Nusselt number Nuc and Nur were analyzed, and the possible explanations for their impacts were presented. Results show that due to the disturbance of wind, the influence of cavity tilt angle becomes more complicated and is related to wind incident angle and wind speed. The variation of Nuc or Nur with wind incident angle is different for different cavity tilt angles.Despite of the changes of cavity tilt angle or wind incident angle, the Nuc increases with the wind speed while the Nur presents a declination with the increasing of wind speed.Hence, compared with cavity tilt angle and wind incident angle, wind speed may be the dominant factor affecting or controlling the convective and radiation heat transfer of cavity.WANG Zehui WU Kefeng WANG Ti XIA Liangwei YU Qiang HUANG Ying SUN Hao WEI Guohua GUAN Jingyu YAN Yanfei 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,1:0
Cooperative catalysis of Co single atoms and nanoparticles enables selective CAr-OCH_(3) cleavage for sustainable production of lignin-based cyclohexanols显示文摘In this work,a dual-size MOF-derived Co catalyst(0.2Co_(1-NPs)@NC)composed of single atoms(Co_(1))and highly dispersed nanoparticles(Co NPs)was prepared by in-situ Zn evaporation for the highperformance conversion of lignin-derived o-methoxyphenols(lignin oil)to cyclohexanols(up to 97%yield)via cascade demethoxylation and dearomatization.Theoretical calculations elaborated that the dual-size Co catalyst exhibited a cooperative effect in the selective demethoxylation process,in which the Co NPs could initially dissociate hydrogen at lower energies while Co1remarkably facilitated the cleavage of the C_(Ar)-OCH_(3)bond.Moreover,the intramolecular hydrogen bonds formed in the omethoxy-containing phenols were found to result in a decrease in the bond energy of the C_(Ar)-OCH_(3)bond,which was more prone to be activated by the dual-size Co sites.Notably, the pre-hydrogenated intermediate(e.g.,2-methoxycyclohexanol from guaiacol)is difficult to undergo demethoxylation, indicating that the selective C_(Ar)-OCH_(3)bond cleavage is a prerequisite for the synthesis of cyclohexanols. The 0.2Co_(1-NPs)@NC catalyst was highly recyclable with a neglect decline in activity during five consecutive cycles. This cooperative catalytic strategy based on the metal size effect opens new avenues for biomass upgrading via enhanced C-O bond cleavage of high selectivity.Baoyu Wang Peng Zhou Ximing Yan Hu Li Hongguo Wu Zehui Zhang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
Plasma functionalized MoSe2 for efficient nonenzymatic sensing of hydrogen peroxide in ultra-wide pH range显示文摘Enzymatic sensors have inherent problems such as the low stability and limited pH range in industrial and biomedical applications and therefore, more efficient nonenzymatic sensors are highly desirable.Herein, plasmafunctionalized defective MoSe_(2)is prepared and studied as a highly efficient catalyst for electrochemical sensing of H_(2)O_(2).Experiments and theoretical computations show that the plasma-induced Se multi-vacancies and nitrogen dopants generate new active sites, expose more edge active surfaces, narrow the bandgap, and strengthen binding with the·OH intermediate, which imparts new fundamental knowledge about the roles of defects in catalysis. The defective MoSe_(2)-catalyzed sensor delivers competitive performance in hydrogen peroxide detection such as a low detection limit of 12.6 nmol/L,wide operational pH range of 1−13,good long-term stability, and high selectivity. The portable sensor produced by screen printing confirms the excellent commercial potential and in addition, the results not only reveal a novel concept to design and fabricate high-performance sensors for H_(2)_(O2)but also provide insights into the effectiveness of surface modification of diverse catalytic materials.Yang Luo Donghai Wu Zehui Li Xiao‐Yan Li Yinghong Wu Shien‐Ping Feng Carlo Menon Houyang Chen Paul K.Chu 2022SmartMat2022,3,3:0
Role of oncogenic long noncoding RNA KCNQ1OT1 in colon cancer显示文摘The role of lncRNA KCNQ1 opposite strand/antisense transcript 1(KCNQ1OT1)in colon cancer involves various tumorigenic processes and has been studed widely. However, the mechanism by which it promotes colon cancer remains unclear.Retrovirnl vector pSEB61 was retroftted in established HCT116 siKCN and SW480-siKCN cells to silence KCNQ1 OT1.Cellular proliferation was measured using CCK8 assay, and flow cytometry(FCM)detected cell cydle changes.RNA sequencing(RNA Seq)analysis showed differentially expressed genes(DEGs).Gene ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway enrichment analyses were carried out to analyze enriched functions and signaling pathways.RT-qPCR,immunofluorescence,and western blotting were carried out to validate downstream gene expressions. The effects of tumorigenesis were evaluated in BALB/c nude mice by tumor xenografts. Our data revealed that the silencing of KONQ1OT1 in HCT116 and SW480 cells slowed cell growth and decreased the number of cells in the G2/M phase.RNA-Seq analysis showed the data of DEGs enriched in various GO and KEGG pathways such as DNA replication and cell cyde.RT qPCR,immunofluorescence, and western blotting confirmed downstream CCNE2 and PCNA gene expressions.HCT116 siKCN cells signifcantly suppressed tumorigenesis in BALB/c nude mice. Our study suggests that lncRNA KCNQ1OT1 may provide a promising therapeutic strategy for colon cancer.GANG LIU LEI SHI BIN WANG ZEHUI WU HAIYUAN ZHAO TIANYU ZHAO LIANGHUI SHI 2024Oncology Research2024,32,3:0
In sights into the antineoplastic mechanism of Chelidonium majus via systems pharmacology approach显示文摘Background: The antineoplastic activity of Chelidonium majus has been reported, but its mechanism of action (MoA) is unsuspected. The emerging theory of systems pharmacology may be a useful approach to analyze the complicated MoA of this multi-ingredient traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Methods: We collected the ingredients and related compound-target interactions of C. majus from several databases. The bSDTNBI (balanced substructure-drug-target network-based inference) method was applied to predict each ingredienfs targets. Pathway enrichment analysis was subsequently conducted to illustrate the potential MoA, and prognostic genes were identified to predict the certain types of cancers that C. majus might be beneficial in treatment. Bioassays and literature survey were used to validate the in silico results? Results: Systems pharmacology analysis demonstrated that C. majus exerted experimental or putative interactions with 18 cancer-associated pathways, and might specifically act on 13 types of cancers. Chelidonine, sanguinarine, chelerythrine, berberine, and coptisine, which are the predominant components of C. majus, may suppress the cancer genes by regulating cell cycle, inducing cell apoptosis and inhibiting proliferation. Conclusions: The antineoplastic MoA of C. majus was investigated by systems pharmacology approach. C. majus exhibited promising pharmacological effect against cancer, and may consequently be useful material in further drug development. The alkaloids are the key components in C. majus that exhibit anticancer activity.Xinzhe Xiao Zehui Chen Zengrui Wu Tianduanyi Wang Weihua Li Guixia Liu Bo Zhang Yun Tang 2019Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2019,7,1:0
