1Fuzzy Control of LED Tunnel Lighting and Energy Conservation显示文摘Current highway tunnel lighting control systems are often manually controlled,resulting in significant energy waste.This article designs a fuzzy control algorithm for tunnel lighting energy control systems.The system uses LED (Light Emitting Diode) lighting,so the fuzzy control algorithm is designed for LED lights.The traffic and the natural illumination level are used as parameters in the intelligent lighting control algorithm.This system has been deployed in the Lengshui tunnel on the 49th provincial highway of Zhejiang province and operated for more than six months.The performance results show that the energy conservation system provides sufficient lighting levels for traffic safety with significant energy conservation.Hong Zeng Jian Qiu Xingfa Shen Guojun Dai Peng Liu Shuping Le 2011Tsinghua Science and Technology2011,16,6:17

5Xa7, a new executor R gene that confers durable and broad-spectrum resistance to bacterial blight disease in rice显示文摘Bacterial blight(BB)is a globally devastating rice disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae(Xoo).The use of disease resistance(R)genes in rice breeding is an effective and economical strategy for the control of this disease.Nevertheless,a majority of R genes lack durable resistance for long-term use under global warming conditions.Here,we report the isolation of a novel executor R gene,Xa7,that confers extremely durable,broad-spectrum,and heat-tolerant resistance to Xoo.The expression of Xa7 was induced by incompatible Xoo strains that secreted the transcription activator-like effector(TALE)AvrXa7 or PthXo3,which recognized effector binding elements(EBEs)in the Xa7 promoter.Furthermore,Xa7 induction was faster and stronger under high temperatures.Overexpression of Xa7 or co-transformation of Xa7 with avrXa7 triggered a hypersensitive response in plants.Constitutive expression of Xa7 activated a defense response in the absence of Xoo but inhibited the growth of transgenic rice plants.In addition,analysis of over 3000 rice varieties showed that the Xa7 locuswas found primarily in the indica and aus subgroups.A variation consisting of an 11-bp insertion and a base substitution(G to T)was found in EBEAvrXa7 in the tested varieties,resulting in a loss of Xa7 BB resistance.Through a decade of effort,we have identified an important BB resistance gene and characterized its distinctive interaction with Xoo strains;these findings will greatly facilitate research on the molecular mechanism of Xa7-mediated resistance and promote the use of this valuable gene in breeding.Xifeng Chen Pengcheng Liu Le Mei Xiaoling He Long Chen Hui Liu Shurong Shen Zhandong Ji Xixi Zheng Yuchen Zhang Zhenyu Gao Dali Zeng Qian Qian Bojun Ma 2021Plant Communications2021,2,3:9

8Upregulation of miR-489-3p and miR-630 inhibits oxaliplatin uptake in renal cell carcinoma by targeting OCT2显示文摘Renal cell carcinoma(RCC) is one of the most common malignant tumors affecting the urogenital system, accounting for 90% of renal malignancies. Traditional chemotherapy options are often the front-line choice of regimen in the treatment of patients with RCC, but responses may be modest or limited due to resistance of the tumor to anticarcinogen. Downregulated expression of organic cation transporter OCT2 is a possible mechanism underlying oxaliplatin resistance in RCC treatment. In this study, we observed that mi R-489-3 p and mi R-630 suppress OCT2 expression by directly binding to the OCT2 30-UTR. Meanwhile, via 786-O-OCT2-mi RNAs stable expression cell models, we found that mi RNAs could repress the classic substrate 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium(MPP+), fluorogenic substrate N,N-dimethyl-4-(2-pyridin-4-ylethenyl) aniline(ASP+), and oxaliplatin uptake by OCT2 both in vitro and in xenografts. In 33 clinical samples, mi R-489-3 p and mi R-630 were significantly upregulated in RCC, negatively correlating with the OCT2 expression level compared to that in adjacent normal tissues, using tissue microarray analysis and q PCR validation. The increased binding of c-Myc to the promoter of pri-mi R-630, responsible for the upregulation of mi R-630 in RCC, was further evidenced by chromatin immunoprecipitation and dual-luciferase reporter assay. 11Defect-rich titanium nitride nanoparticle with high microwaveacoustic conversion efficiency for thermoacoustic imaging-guided deep tumor therapy显示文摘Pulse microwave excite thermoacoustic(TA)shockwave to destroy tumor cells in situ.This has promising applications for precise tumor therapy in deep tissue.Nanoparticle(NP)with high microwave-acoustic conversion is the key to enhance the efficiency of therapy.In this study,we firstly developed defect-rich titanium nitride nanoparticles(TiN NPs)for pulse microwave excited thermoacoustic(MTA)therapy.Due to a large number of local structural defects and charge carriers,TiN NPs exhibit excellent electromagnetic absorption through the dual mechanisms of dielectric loss and resistive loss.With pulsed microwave irradiation,it efficiently converts the microwave energy into shockwave via thermocavitation effect,achieving localized mechanical damage of mitochondria in the tumor cell and yielding a precise antitumor effect.In addition to the therapeutic function,the NP-mediated TA process also generates images that provide valuable information,including tumor size,shape,and location for treatment planning and monitoring.The experimental results showed that the TiN NPs could be efficiently accumulated in the tumor via intravenous infusion.With the deep tissue penetration characteristics of microwave,the proposed TiN-mediated MTA therapy effectively and precisely cures tumors in deep tissue without any detectable side effects.The results indicated that defect-rich TiN NPs are promising candidates for tumor therapy.Zhujun Wu Fanchu Zeng Le Zhang Shuxiang Zhao Linghua Wu Huan Qin Da Xing 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:4
12The neuroprotective effects of oxygen therapy in Alzheimer’s disease:a narrative review显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a degenerative neurological disease that primarily affects the elderly.Drug therapy is the main strategy for AD treatment,but current treatments suffer from poor efficacy and a number of side effects.Non-drug therapy is attracting more attention and may be a better strategy for treatment of AD.Hypoxia is one of the important factors that contribute to the pathogenesis of AD.Multiple cellular processes synergistically promote hypoxia,including aging,hypertension,diabetes,hypoxia/obstructive sleep apnea,obesity,and traumatic brain injury.Increasing evidence has shown that hypoxia may affect multiple pathological aspects of AD,such as amyloid-beta metabolism,tau phosphorylation,autophagy,neuroinflammation,oxidative stress,endoplasmic reticulum stress,and mitochondrial and synaptic dysfunction.Treatments targeting hypoxia may delay or mitigate the progression of AD.Numerous studies have shown that oxygen therapy could improve the risk factors and clinical symptoms of AD.Increasing evidence also suggests that oxygen therapy may improve many pathological aspects of AD including amyloid-beta metabolism,tau phosphorylation,neuroinflammation,neuronal apoptosis,oxidative stress,neurotrophic factors,mitochondrial function,cerebral blood volume,and protein synthesis.In this review,we summarized the effects of oxygen therapy on AD pathogenesis and the mechanisms underlying these alterations.We expect that this review can benefit future clinical applications and therapy strategies on oxygen therapy for AD.Cui Yang Qiu Yang Yang Xiang Xian-Rong Zeng Jun Xiao Wei-Dong Le 2023Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,1:3
13A New Cockroach Colony Optimization Algorithm for Global Numerical Optimization显示文摘Inspired by the behavior of cockroaches in nature, this paper presents a new optimization algorithm called Cockroach colony optimization(CCO). In the CCO algorithm, nests of cockroaches are placed at the'corner' of the search space. The current best solution to the optimization problem called food can split some of the search targets by applying the logistic multi-peak map and the margin control strategies. By using a particular search scheme, the individual cockroaches can accomplish a highly efficient global and local search in each crawling process from a nest to a search target. The paper provides a formal convergence proof for the CCO algorithm. 14Black phosphorus-based van der Waals heterostructures for mid-infrared light-emission applications显示文摘Mid-infrared(MIR)light-emitting devices play a key role in optical communications,thermal imaging,and material analysis applications.Two-dimensional(2D)materials offer a promising direction for next-generation MIR devices owing to their exotic optical properties,as well as the ultimate thickness limit.More importantly,van der Waals heterostructures-combining the best of various 2D materials at an artificial atomic level-provide many new possibilities for constructing MIR light-emitting devices of large tuneability and high integration.Here,we introduce a simple but novel van der Waals heterostructure for MIR light-emission applications built from thin-film BP and transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs),in which BP acts as an MIR light-emission layer.For BP–WSe_(2) heterostructures,an enhancement of~200% in the photoluminescence intensities in the MIR region is observed,demonstrating highly efficient energy transfer in this heterostructure with type-Ⅰ band alignment.For BP-MoS_(2) heterostructures,a room temperature MIR light-emitting diode(LED)is enabled through the formation of a vertical PN heterojunction at the interface.Our work reveals that the BP-TMDC heterostructure with efficient light emission in the MIR range,either optically or electrically activated,provides a promising platform for infrared light property studies and applications.Xinrong Zong Huamin Hu Gang Ouyang Jingwei Wang Run Shi Le Zhang Qingsheng Zeng Chao Zhu Shouheng Chen Chun Cheng Bing Wang Han Zhang Zheng Liu Wei Huang Taihong Wang Lin Wang Xiaolong Chen 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:3
15Biodegradation of 3,5-dimethyl-2,4-dichlorophenol in saline wastewater by newly isolated Penicillium sp.yz11-22N2显示文摘In this study,the performance of 3,5-dimethyl-2,4-dichlorophenol(DCMX) degradation by a screened strain was investigated.18 S r DNA and the neighbor-joining method were used for identification of the isolated strain.The results of phylogenetic analysis and scanning electron micrographs showed that the most probable identity of the screened strain should be Penicillium sp.Growth characteristics of Penicillium sp.and degradation processes of DCMX were examined.Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of the inoculated DCMX solution was recorded,which supported the capacity of DCMX degradation by the screened Penicillium sp.Under different salinity conditions,the highest growth rate and removal efficiency for DCMX were obtained at p H 6.0.The removal efficiency decreased from 100%to 66% when the DCMX concentration increased from 5 to 60 mg/L,respectively.Using a Box–Behnken design,the maximum DCMX removal efficiency was determined to be 98.4%.With acclimation to salinity,higher removal efficiency could be achieved.The results demonstrate that the screened Penicillium sp.has the capability for degradation of DCMX.Zhou Yan Huijun He Chunping Yang Guangming Zeng Le Luo Panpan Jiao Huiru Li Li Lu 2017Journal of Environmental Sciences2017,29,7:3
16A Preliminary Review of Metallogenic Regularity of Tungsten Deposits in China显示文摘Tungsten ore resources are abundant in China with relatively complete types of deposits. Skarn type and quartz vein type deposits are dominated in the tungsten resources, whereas quartz vein type wolframite deposits are most important in terms of exploitation and utilization. Skarn type tungsten deposits are concentratedly distributed in the central Nanling region, such as South Hunan, South Anhui and the eastern Qinling region, while quartz vein type tungsten deposits occur mainly in South China, such as West Fujian, South Jiangxi, North Guangdong and South Hunan. The most important metallogenic epoch of tungsten is the Mesozoic, while the metallogenic tectonic setting is featured by an intracontinental environment after orogeny with sever tectonic movements, deep-seated faults and frequent magmatic activities, especially Mesozoic granitoids closely related to tungsten-tin mineralization. 22 metallogenic series of ore deposits characterized by or significantly related to tungsten were defined based on precise statistic information of 1199 tungsten mining areas and thorough the summary of metallogenic regularities. 19A possible family of Ni-based high temperature superconductors显示文摘We suggest that a family of Ni-based compounds, which contain [Ni_2M_2O]~2à(M = chalcogen) layers with an antiperovskite structure constructed by mixed-anion Ni complexes, Ni M_4O_2, can be potential high temperature superconductors(high-Tc) upon doping or applying pressure. The layer structures have been formed in many other transitional metal compounds such as La_2B_2Se_2O_3(B = Mn, Fe, Co). For the Ni-based compounds, we predict that the parental compounds host collinear antiferromagnetic states similar to those in iron-based high temperature superconductors. The electronic physics near Fermi energy is controlled by two egd-orbitals with completely independent in-plane kinematics.
