| 2 | Effects of Topography and Land Use Change on Gully Development in Typical Mollisol Region of Northeast China显示文摘Due to high intensity agricultural exploitation since the middle of the 20 th century, farmland gullies have become a pervasive form of water erosion in Northeast China. Yet few researches are concentrated on how topography and land use affect long-term gully development in this region. In this study, gully distribution in a village with an area of 24.2 km^2 in the central Mollisols area of Northeast China in different times were compared by Aerial photography(1968), Quickbird image(2009) and field survey, and factors affecting gully development including land use and topography were analyzed. The results showed that the total gully number decreased from 104 to 69, while occupying area rose from 34.8 ha to 78.4 ha from 1968 to 2009. Fundamental gully distribution had been formed by 1968 as most of 2009′s gullies were evolved from 1968′s gullies′ merge and width expansion process, and new gullies those initiated after 1968 occupied only 7% of total gully area in 2009. Gully area increasing ratio in grassland was the highest and that in forestland was the lowest. The threshold catchment area between simple and complex gully development was around 15 ha to 25 ha. This threshold value sets apart catchment areas that will develop simple or complex gullies in areas with similar environmental conditions. | 3 | Viral Metagenomics Analysis of Planktonic Viruses in East Lake,Wuhan,China显示文摘East Lake(Lake Donghu),located in Wuhan,China,is a typical city freshwater lake that has been experiencing eutrophic conditions and algal blooming during recent years.Marine and fresh water are considered to contain a large number of viruses.However,little is known about their genetic diversity because of the limited techniques for culturing viruses.In this study,we conducted a viral metagenomic analysis using a high-throughput sequencing technique with samples collected from East Lake in Spring,Summer,Autumn,and Winter.The libraries from four samples each generated 234,669,71,837,12,820,and 34,236 contigs(>90 bp each),respectively.The genetic structure of the viral community revealed a high genetic diversity covering 23 viral families,with the majority of contigs homologous to DNA viruses,including members of Myoviridae,Podoviridae,Siphoviridae,Phycodnaviridae,and Microviridae,which infect bacteria or algae,and members of Circoviridae,which infect invertebrates and vertebrates.The highest viral genetic diversity occurred in samples collected in August,then December and June,and the least diversity in March.Most contigs have low-sequence identities with known viruses.PCR detection targeting the conserved sequences of genes(g20,psbA,psbD,and DNApol)of cyanophages further confirmed that there are novel cyanophages in the East Lake.Our viral metagenomic data provide the first preliminary understanding of the virome in one freshwater lake in China and would be helpful for novel virus discovery and the control of algal blooming in the future. | Xingyi Ge Yongquan Wu Meiniang Wang Jun Wang Lijun Wu Xinglou Yang Yuji Zhang Zhengli Shi | 2013 | Virologica Sinica2013,28,5: | 8 |

| 5 | Labile Organic Matter Content and Distribution as Affected by Six-year Soil Amendments to Eroded Chinese Mollisols显示文摘Labile organic carbon(LOC)is a fraction of soil organic carbon(SOC)with rapid turnover time and is affected by soil fertilization.This investigation characterized the SOC content,LOC content and LOC distribution in the treatment plots of surface soil erosion at five levels(0-,5-,10-,20-and 30-cm erosion).The soil had received contrasting fertilizer treatments(i.e.,chemical fertilizer or chemical fertilizer+manure)for 6 years.This study demonstrated that both SOC and various LOC fractions contents were higher in the plots with fertilizer+manure than in those with fertilizer alone under the same erosion conditions.The SOC and LOC contents decreased as the erosion depth increased.Light fraction organic carbon,particulate organic carbon,easily oxidizable organic carbon(KMnO4-oxydizable organic carbon),and microbial biomass carbon were 27%–57%,37%–47%,20%–25%,and 29%–33%higher respectively in the fertilizer+manure plots,than in the fertilizer alone plots.Positive correlations(p<0.05)between SOC content and different fractions contents were observed in all plots except the correlation between total SOC content and water-soluble organic carbon content in the different fertilization treatments.Obviously,fertilizer+manure treatments would be conducive to the accumulation of LOC and SOC in the Black soil of Northeast China. | SUI Yueyu JIAO Xiaoguang CHEN Wenting LIU Xiaobing ZHANG Xingyi DING Guangwei | 2013 | Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,6: | 7 |

| 8 | Soil Nutrient Variance by Slope Position in a Mollisol Farmland Area of Northeast China显示文摘In order to generate scientifically-based comparative information to improve fertilization efficiency and reduce nutrient loss, 610 samples of 122 soil profiles were collected at the 0–60 cm depth to compare soil nutrient contents including soil organic matter(SOM), total nitrogen(TN), total phosphorus(TP), available phosphorus(AP), and available potassium(AK) among different slope positions in a Mollisol farmland area of Northeast China. The contents of SOM and TN typically decreased with increased soil depth at back and bottom slope. Soil loss and deposition tended to decrease SOM and TN at the 0–20 cm soil depth on both the back slope and the slope bottom. The TP firstly decreased from 0–20 cm to 30–40 cm, and then not constantly increased at the back slope and the bottom slope. Due to the characteristics of soil nutrients and crop absorption, the contents of both AP and AK were typically the highest at the summit, followed by the slope bottom and the back slope in the 0–20 cm layer. | 9 | Ultrathin MXene-aramid nanofiber electromagnetic interference shielding films with tactile sensing ability withstanding harsh temperatures显示文摘Ultrathin and flexible electromagnetic shielding materials hold great potential in civil and military applications.Despite tremendous research efforts,the development of advanced shielding materials is still needed to provide additional functionalities for various artificial-intelligence-driven systems,such as tactile sensing ability.Herein,a layering design strategy is proposed to fabricate ultrathin Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene-aramid nanofiber(MA)films by a layer-by-layer assembling process.Compared to that of randomly mixed films,the designed MA films exhibited a higher EMI shielding efficiency at an ultrathin thickness of 9 pm,which increased from 26.4 to 40.7 dB,owing to the additional multiple-interface scattering mechanism.Importantly,the novel MA films displayed strong EMI shielding ability even after heating/cooling treatments within a wide temperature range of-196 to 300℃.Moreover,the same material displayed a tensile strength of 124.1±2.7 MPa and a toughness of 6.3±1.1 MJ·m^(-3),which are approximately 9.1 times and 45 times higher than those of pure MXene films,respectively.The MA film is also capable of detecting tactile signals via the triboelectric effect.A 2×4 tactile sensor array was developed to achieve an accurate signal catching capability.Therefore,in addition to the shielding performance,the manifestation of tactile perception by the MA films offers exciting opportunities in the fields of soft robotics and human-machine interactions. | Dawei Hu Siqi Wang Cheng Zhang Pengshu Yi Pingkai Jiang Xingyi Huang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 4 |

| 11 | Effect of STAT3 siRNA-Induced Inhibition of STAT3 Gene Expression on the Growth and Apoptosis of Lewis Lung Cancer Cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE To determine the effect of short interference RNA (siRNA) against STAT3 induced inhibition of STAT3 gene expression and on the growth and apoptosis of Lewis lung cancer cells. METHODS pSilencer 2.1-U6 STAT3 siRNA against STAT3-mRNA was synthesized. Lewis lung cancer cells were divided into 3 groups: vehicle, plasmid, and STAT3 siRNA in which the cells were treated with RPMI-1640 culture media, or transfected with pSilencer empty vector, or pSilencer STAT3 siRNA. Semiquantitative RT-PCR and Western blot analysis of STAT3 gene expression in the cells was performed 72 h after transfection. MTT assay for cell proliferation, flow cytometry and DNA laddering electrophoresis were used for determination of cell proliferation and apoptosis. RESULTS STAT3 was markedly expressed at both the mRNA and protein levels in the cells treated with RPMI-1640 media or transfected with the plasmid vector, whereas STAT3 expression was significantly reduced in cells treated with STAT3 siRNA. These findings suggest that STAT3 siRNA effectively inhibited STAT3 expression. Transfection of the cells with STAT3 siRNA resulted in significant cellular growth inhibition and enhanced apoptosis. However, the state-of-the-art polymer dielectrics, such as biaxially orientated polypropylene, could not meet the demand of minimization of electronic devices because of its low energy density. Recently, poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF) based ferroelectric polymers have attracted considerable interests for energy storage applications because of their high permittivity and high breakdown strength. Unfortunately, the high dielectric loss and/or high remnant polarization of PVDF-based polymers seriously limits their practical applications for electrical energy storage. Since the discovery of relaxor ferroelectric behavior was firstly reported in irradiated poly(vinylidene fluoridetrifluoroethylene)(P(VDF-TrFE)) copolymer, many strategies have been developed to enhanced the electrical energy storage capability, including copolymerization, grafting, blending and fabricating of multilayer. | 17 | Highly conductive polymer nanocomposites for emerging high voltage power cable shields:experiment,simulation and applications显示文摘High voltage power cables play a critical role in global electricity transmission and distribution.The currently used power cables cannot fulfil the green and sustainable requirement of modern society because of the thermoset nature of cable insulation and shields.This study is aimed at developing thermoplastic shields for high voltage power cable,which is one bottleneck restricting the development of environmental-friendly cables.Using carbon black(CB)as the main conductive component and a small amount of carbon nanotubes(CNTs)or graphene as the second filler,highly conductive polypropylene based composite materials were prepared for potential shield applications.It was found that,at a fixed conductive filler loading,the replacement of a small amount CB by CNTs can significantly enhance the electrical conductivity and suppress its temperature dependence.However,when CB was replaced by graphene,only limited enhancement of electrical conductivity could be achieved and the electrical conductivity is still highly dependent on temperature.Dissipative particle dynamics simulations demonstrated that the enhanced conduction property in the CNTs-containing composites could be understood by the shorter average distance between CB and CNTs.Finally,the coordination between the newly developed conductive composites and the environmental-friendly thermoplastic polypropylene insulation was evaluated via high voltage direct current measurements,and the results revealed that the CNTs-containing composites showed excellent suppression effect on the space charge injection and accumulation in the insulation.This research paved a new way for developing environmental-friendly high voltage power cable shields. | Xingyi Huang Boyang Sun Chunyang Yu Jiandong Wu Jun Zhang Pingkai Jiang | 2020 | High Voltage2020,5,4: | 2 |

| 20 | Tandem Molecular Self-Assembly Selectively Inhibits Lung Cancer Cells by Inducing Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress显示文摘The selective formation of nanomaterials in cancer cells and tumors holds great promise for cancer diagnostics and therapy.Until now,most strategies rely on a single trigger to control the formation of nanomaterials in situ.The combination of two or more triggers may provide for more sophisticated means of manipulation.In this study,we rationally designed a molecule(Comp.1)capable of responding to two enzymes,alkaline phosphatase(ALP),and reductase.Since the A549 lung cancer cell line showed elevated levels of extracellular ALP and intracellular reductase,we demonstrated that Comp.1 responded in a stepwise fashion to those two enzymes and displayed a tandem molecular self-assembly behavior.The selective formation of nanofibers in the mitochondria of the lung cancer cells led to the disruption of the mitochondrial membrane,resulting in an increased level of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and the release of cytochrome C(Cyt C).ROS can react with proteins,resulting in endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress and the unfolded protein response(UPR).This severe ER stress led to disruption of the ER,formation of vacuoles,and ultimately,apoptosis of the A549 cells.Therefore,Comp.1 could selectively inhibit lung cancer cells in vitro and A549 xenograft tumors in vivo.Our study provides a novel strategy for the selective formation of nanomaterials in lung cancer cells,which is powerful and promising for the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer. | Debin Zheng Yumiao Chen Sifan Ai Renshu Zhang Zhengfeng Gao Chunhui Liang Li Cao Yaoxia Chen Zhangyong Hong Yang Shi Ling Wang Xingyi Li Zhimou Yang | 2019 | Research2019,,1: | 1 |
