2Water mass of the northward throughflow in the Bering Strait in the summer of 2003显示文摘The temperature and salinity data obtained by the Chinese national arctic research expedition (CHINARE2003) are used to study the water structure in the Bering Strait and ambient regions. Four water masses appeared in the research region: the intermediate Bering Sea water mass (IBWM), the Alaska coastal water (ACW), the Anadyr water (AW) and the Bering shelf water (BSW). The AW originates from the IBWM, but the upper layer water has been greatly altered. In the cruise on 28/29 July 2003, there were only the BSW and ACW in a section across the Bering Strait (BS section), but in the September 12/13 cruise, the AW, BSW and ACW flowed parallelly into the Bering Strait. The upper waters of these water masses were all altered due to ice melting, runoff, solar radiation, and wind mixing. The waters in the central and northern parts of Bering Strait stratified by two uniform layers,were expressed as the typical feature of the water masses originating from the pacific. A two-layer structure also dominated the vertical stratification in most part of the Chukchi Sea. 3Carbothermic reduction of vanadium titanomagnetite with the assistance of sodium carbonate显示文摘The carbothermic reduction of vanadium titanomagnetite concentrate(VTC)with the assistance of Na_(2)CO_(3)was conducted in an argon atmosphere between 1073 and 1473 K.X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy were used to investigate the phase transformations during the reaction.By investigating the reaction between VTC and Na_(2)CO_(3),it was concluded that molten Na_(2)CO_(3)broke the structure of titanomagnetite by combining with the acidic oxides(Fe_(2)O_(3),TiO_(2),Al_(2)O_(3),and SiO_(2))to form a Na-rich melt and release FeO and MgO.Therefore,Na_(2)CO_(3)accelerated the reduction rate.In addition,adding Na_(2)CO_(3)also benefited the agglomeration of iron particles and the slag–metal separation by decreasing the viscosity of the slag.Thus,Na_(2)CO_(3)assisted carbothermic reduction is a promising method for treating VTC at low temperatures.Luming Chen Yulan Zhen Guohua Zhang Desheng Chen Lina Wang Hongxin Zhao Fancheng Meng Tao Qi 2022International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,2:5
4Unregulated emissions from diesel engine with particulate filter using Fe-based fuel borne catalyst显示文摘The alteration and formation of toxic compounds and potential changes in the toxicity of emissions when using after-treatment technologies have gained wide attention. Volatile organic compound(VOC), carbonyl compound and particle-phase polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon(PAH) emissions were tested at European Steady State Cycle(ESC) to study unregulated emissions from a diesel engine with a fuel-borne catalyst and diesel particulate filter(FBC–DPF). An Fe-based fuel-borne catalyst was used for this study. According to the results, brake specific emissions of total VOCs without and with DPF were 4.7 and4.9 mg/kWh, respectively, showing a 4.3% increase. Benzene and n-undecane emissions increased and toluene emission decreased, while other individual VOC emissions basically had no change. When retrofitted with the FBC–DPF, total carbonyl compound emission decreased 15.7%, from 25.8 to 21.8 mg/kWh. The two highest carbonyls, formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, were reduced from 20.0 and 3.7 to 16.5 and 3.3 mg/kWh respectively. The specific reactivity(SR) with DPF was reduced from 6.68 to 6.64 mg/kWh. Total particle-phase PAH emissions decreased 66.4% with DPF compared to that without DPF. However, the Benzo[a]pyrene equivalent(BaPeq) with DPF had increased from 0.016 to 0.030 mg/kWh.Fluoranthene and Pyrene had the greatest decrease, 91.1% and 88.4% respectively. The increase of two- and three-ring PAHs with DPF indicates that the fuel-borne catalyst caused some gas-phase PAHs to adsorb on particles. 5Wetting behavior and interfacial characteristic of Sn-Ag-Cu solder alloy on Cu substrate显示文摘Wettability of molten Sn-Ag-Cu alloy on Cu substrate has been determined by sessile drop method, as well as its dependence on time and temperature. It was found that the evolution of contact angle at the alloy’s melting point experienced four different stages. Especially, the contact angle was unstable and fluctuant in stage II, and gradually decreased in stage III mainly due to a chemical reaction between Sn-Ag-Cu alloy and Cu substrate. The contact angle decreased with increasing temperature, but increased slightly at 629 K, for another chemical reaction occurred. Interfacial characteristic has been further investigated by examining the sample’s cross section. 6Effect of electroacpuncture of Neiguan(PC 6)and Tianquan(PC 2)on skin temperature,blood perfusion,and adrenoceptor response in rats with acute myocardial ischemia显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of electroacupuncture(EA) of acupoints Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2) on the skin temperature, blood perfusion, and alpha1-and beta2-adrenoreceptor(α1-AR and β2-AR) protein and m RNA level in rats with acute myocardial ischemia.METHODS: Thirty male adult Wistar rats [(230 ±20) g] were randomly assigned into five groups(n = 6 each): a control group, sham operation group, model group, model group treated with EA at low frequency(L-EA, 2 Hz, 1 m A) and model group treated with EA at high frequency(H-EA, 100 Hz, 1 m A). The rat model was prepared by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery. Electroacupuncture was performed at the left Neiguan(PC 6) for 20 min daily for 3 d. After the 3 rd time of the treatment, measurements of skin blood perfusion and temperature in Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2) in all groups were made by laser speckle contrast imaging and infrared thermal image instrument. Real-time PCR and ELISA were used to measure m RNA level and protein level of α1-AR andβ2-AR in the skin tissues of Neiguan(PC 6) and Tianquan(PC 2), respectively. Serum levels of c Tn T and electrocardiogram were used to identify the state of myocardium.RESULTS: In the group receiving electroacupunture at Neiguan(PC 6), compared with control group,the skin temperature, blood perfusion, and β2-AR m RNA and protein level of model group significantly decreased(P < 0.05), α1-AR m RNA and protein level of model group significantly increased(P < 0.05);compared with model group, the skin temperature,blood perfusion, and β2-AR m RNA and protein level of L-EA significantly increased(P < 0.05), α1-AR m RNA and protein level of L-EA and H-EA significantly decreased(P < 0.05). 7Electromagnetic side-channel attack based on PSO directed acyclic graph SVM显示文摘Machine learning has a powerful potential for performing the template attack(TA) of cryptographic device. To improve the accuracy and time consuming of electromagnetic template attack(ETA), a multi-class directed acyclic graph support vector machine(DAGSVM) method is proposed to predict the Hamming weight of the key. The method needs to generate K(K ? 1)/2 binary support vector machine(SVM) classifiers and realizes the K-class prediction using a rooted binary directed acyclic graph(DAG) testing model. Further, particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used for optimal selection of DAGSVM model parameters to improve the performance of DAGSVM. By exploiting the electromagnetic emanations captured while a chip was implementing the RC4 algorithm in software, the computation complexity and performance of several multi-class machine learning methods, such as DAGSVM, one-versus-one(OVO)SVM, one-versus-all(OVA)SVM, Probabilistic neural networks(PNN), K-means clustering and fuzzy neural network(FNN) are investigated. In the same scenario, the highest classification accuracy of Hamming weight for the key reached 100%, 95.33%, 85%, 74%, 49.67% and 38% for DAGSVM, OVOSVM, OVASVM, PNN, K-means and FNN, respectively. 8Synergistic effects of ginseng stem and leaf-extracted ginsenoside and choline on improving learning and memory in rats Association verification experiment in animals with multiple learning and memory disorders显示文摘BACKGROUND: Ginsenoside extracted from the stem and leaf of ginseng (GSL) and choline have both been shown to improve learning and memory functions; however,further studies are needed to understand the synergistic effects of a combination of both. OBJECTIVE: To verify the combined improved synergistic effects of GSL and choline on learning and memory disorders in rats. DESIGN: Control observation. SETTING: Taishan Medical College. MATERIALS: A total of 150 male Kunming mice weighing (20±2) g and 40 healthy male Wistar rats weighing (220±20) g were provided by the Experimental Animal Department of Jilin University. Animal experimentation received confirmed consent from the local ethic committee. GSL was provided by the Department of Chemistry,Norman Bethune Medical University,and choline was provided by the Third Experiment Factory,Shanghai. METHODS: This study was performed at the Life Science Institute,Taishan Medical College from October 2006 to February 2007. ① Scopolamine-induced learning and memory disorders in rats: Forty rats were randomly divided into control group,model group,combination group (400 mg/kg GSL + 200 mg/kg choline),GSL (400 mg/kg) group,and choline (200 mg/kg) group,8 rats/group. Rats were perfused and administrated in the morning,once a day for 14 successive days. Rats in the control group and model group were perfused with 20 mL/kg distilled water and underwent Morris water maze spatial resolution test 1 hour after perfusion on the 10th,11th,and 12th days after administration. Rats also underwent passive step-down avoidance test 1 hour after reperfusion on the 13th and 14th days after administration. Thirty minutes prior to experimentation,rats in the remaining three groups were intraperitoneally (i.p) injected with 2 mg/kg scopolamine,and rats in the control group were i.p. injected with 2 mL/kg saline. ② Scopolamine-induced learning disorder and memory acquired disorder in mice: Fifty mice were randomly divided into control group,model group,combination group (400 mg/kg GSL +200 mg/kg choline),GSL (400 mg/kg) group,and choline (200 mg/kg) group,with 10 mice/group. Mice were perfused and administrated in the morning,once a day for 9 successive days. Mice in the control group and model group were perfused with 20 mL/kg distilled water and underwent passive step down avoidance test 1 hour after reperfusion on the 8th and 9th day after administration. Twenty minutes prior to training,mice in the remaining three groups were i.p. injected with 2 mg/kg scopolamine,and mice in the control group were i.p. injected with 10 mL/kg saline. ③ Sodium nitrite-induced memory consolidation disorder in mice: Grouping,administration,and testing were the same as mentioned above. After training,mice in the remaining three groups were immediately subcutaneously injected with 120 mg/kg sodium nitrite,and mice in the control group were subcutaneously injected with 20 mL/kg saline. ④ Ethanol-induced memory reconsolidation disorder in mice: Grouping,administration,and testing were the same as mentioned above. At 24 hours after training and 20 minutes before retraining,mice in the remaining four groups were perfused with 10 mL/kg ethanol (0.3 volume fraction),and mice in the control group were perfused with 10 mL/kg saline. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Synergistic effects of GSL and choline on learning and memory deficits induced by scopolamine,sodium nitrite,and ethanol in experimental animals. RESULTS: All 40 rats and 150 mice were included in the final analysis. ① Synergistic effects of GSL and choline on learning and memory disorders induced by scopolamine in rats: During passive step-down avoidance and Morris water maze spatial resolution tests,the number of error responses and length of maze training in the model group were significantly greater than in the control group (P < 0.01); while the number of error responses and length of maze training in the combination group were significantly less than in the model group,GSL group,and choline group (P < 0.05-0.01). The Q value was > 1 after combining administration,which suggests that the combination of GSL and choline had synergistic effects. ② Synergistic effects of GSL and choline on learning disorder and memory-acquired disorder induced by scopolamine in mice: During passive step-down avoidance test,the number of error responses in the model group were significantly greater than in the control group (P < 0.01); while the number of error responses in the combination group were significantly less than in the model group,GSL group,and choline group (P < 0.05-0.01). The Q value was > 1 after combining administration,which suggests GSL and choline had synergistic effects. ③ Synergistic effects of GSL and choline on memory sodium nitrate-induced consolidation disorder in mice: During passive step down avoidance test,the number of error responses in the model group were significantly less than in the control group (P < 0.01); while the number of error responses in the combination group were significantly less than in the model group,GSL group,and choline group (P < 0.05-0.01). 9Efficient construction of provably secure steganography under ordinary covert channels显示文摘Steganography is the science of hiding information within seemingly harmless messages or innocent media.This paper addresses the problems of efficient construction of secure steganography in ordinary covert channels.Without relying on any sampling assumption,we provide a general construction of secure steganography under computational indistinguishability.Our results show that unpredictability of mapping function in covertext sampler is indispensable for secure stegosystem on indistinguishability against adaptive chosen hiddentext attacks.We completely prove that computationally secure steganography can be constructed on pseudorandom function and unbiased sampling function under ordinary covert channels,that is,its security is inversely proportional to the sum of errors of these two functions,as well as the legth of hiddentexts.More importantly,our research is not dependent upon pseudorandom ciphertext assumption of cryptosystem or perfect sampling assumption.Hence,our results are practically useful for construction and analysis of secure stegosystems.ZHU Yan YU MengYang HU HongXin AHN Gail-Joon ZHAO HongJia 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,7:2

12Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 17Assessing the active-passive approach at variant incidence angles for microwave brightness temperature downscaling显示文摘The Terrestrial Water Resources Satellite(TWRS)campaign is a planned Chinese candidate satellite mission,and a one-dimensional synthetic aperture technology will be used,resulting in variant incidence angles for collecting synchronous active-passive observations at L-band,which would make brightness temperature(T_(b))downscaling especially challenging when aiming to improve the spatial resolution of soil moisture measurements.In this study,two active-passive T_(b) downscaling algorithms,the time-series regression(TSR)and spectral analysis(SA)algorithms,are assessed comprehensively based on airborne experimental datasets.The results with data collected during the Soil Moisture Experiment 2002(SMEX02)showed that both approaches could provide a reliable downscaled T_(b) at the same incidence angle.Based on the ground and airborne active-passive observations under variant incidence angles from the Soil Moisture Experiment in the Luan River(SMELR)it can be shown that the linear relationship between T_(b) andσis still robust under the case of variant incidence angles,and T_(b)(both h-and v-pol)is better correlated toσvv for most cases thanσhh.Both downscaling approaches can be applied to active-passive observations under varying incidence angles.Moreover,SA method performed better than the TSR method according to the lower RMSE values and higher correlation.Peng Guo Tianjie Zhao Jiancheng Shi Hongxin Xu Xiuwei Li Shengda Niu 2021International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,10:1
