Characteristics of pantograph‐catenary arc under low air pressure and strong airflow显示文摘Pantograph‐catenary arc fault is the primary factor threatening the stability of the power transmission for high‐speed railway. The motion characteristics of the pantograph‐catenary arc under low air pressure and strong airflow is significantly different from the case under atmospheric pressure. In this paper,an experimental platform of panto-graph‐catenary arc was built to investigate arc root position‐time and arc column lon-gitudinal drift height‐time characteristic curves under different air pressures and airflow velocites.Via analysing the corresponding results,it can be found that there are different arc root-arc column traction mechanisms at different stages of arc development. The arcing time and arc root stagnation time under low air pressure are significantly longer than the case under atmospheric pressure, resulting in more serious electrode ablation. The arc column longitudinal drift velocity and height are greater with the increase of airflow velocity. Two typical irregular arc motion phenomena-arc root jumping and arc reignition are observed. To clarify the internal mechanism of the above phenomenon,a magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)model of the pantograph‐catenary arc was lauched, the influence mechanism of the pantograph‐catenary arc temperature and voltage are studied, and the physical process of arc temperature oscillation is analysed. The research results provide theoretical support for arc protection in high‐altitude areas. | Zhilei Xu Guoqiang Gao Wenfu Wei Zefeng Yang Wenhan Xie Keliang Dong Yaguang Ma Yan Yang Guangning Wu | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,2: | 7
Application of fluorescence in situ hybridization in the detection of bladder transitional-cell carcinoma: A multi-center clinical study based on Chinese population显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the diagnostic value of fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH)in bladder cancer. Methods:We enrolled healthy volunteers and patients who were clinically suspected to have bladder cancer and conducted FISH tests and cytology examinations from August 2007 to December 2008.Receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis was performed and the area under curve(AUC)values were calculated for both the FISH and urine cytology tests. Results:A cohort of 988 healthy volunteers was enrolled to establish a reference range for the normal population.A total of 4807 patients with hematuria were prospectively, randomly enrolled for the simultaneous analysis of urine cytology,FISH testing, and a final diagnosis as determined by the pathologic findings of a biopsy or a surgically-excised specimen.Overall, the sensitivity of FISH in detecting transitional-cell carcinoma was 82.7%,while that of cytology was 33.4%(p<0.001).The sensitivity values of FISH for non-muscle invasive and muscle invasive bladder transitional-cell carcinoma were 81.7%and 89.6%,respectively(p=0.004).The sensitivity values of FISH for low and high grade bladder cancer were 82.6%and 90.1%,respectively(p=0.002).Conclusion:FISH is significantly more sensitive than voided urine cytology for detecting bladder cancer in patients evaluated for gross hematuria at all cancer grades and stages.Higher sensitivity using FISH was obtained in high grade and muscle invasive tumors. | Liqun Zhou Kaiwei Yang Xuesong Li Yi Ding Dawei Mu Hanzhong Li Yong Yan Jinyi Li Dongwen Wang Wei Li Yulong Cong Jiangping Gao Kewei Ma Yajun Xiao Sheng Zhang Hongyi Jiang Weilie Hu Qiang Wei Xunbo Jin Zhichen Guan Qingyong Liu Danfeng Xu Xin Gao Yongguang Jiang Weimin Gan Guang Sun Qing Wang Yanhui Liu Jianquan Hou Liping Xie Xishuang Song Fengshuo Jin Jiafu Feng Ming Cai Zhaozhao Liang Jie Zhang Dingwei Ye Lin Qi Lulin Ma Jianzhong Shou Yuping Dai Jianyong Shao Ye Tian Shizhe Hong Tao Xu Chuize Kong Zefeng Kang Yuexin Liu Xun Qu Benkang Shi Shaobin Zheng Yi Lin Shujie Xia Dong Wei Jianbo Wu Weiling Fu Zhiping Wang Jianbo Liang | 2019 | Asian Journal of Urology2019,6,1: | 2
Study on the erosion characteristics of copper-carbon electrode pairs by DC air arc显示文摘As common electric contact materials,copper-carbon electrode pairs are widely used in the field of electric contact such as in high-speed railways, motor collector rings and grounding brushes. They play a key role in energy transmission in the above-mentioned systems.Arc erosion has become a key issue threatening system safety. In this work,a dedicated arc erosion platform was built to study the polarity effect of copper-carbon electrode pairs. It was found that arc dynamics and electrodes erosion behaviours were significantly different under different polarities, which could be understood from the mechanism of heat transfer, cooling and electron emission of the electrode. Then, when the carbon material was used as an anode, the arc caused carbon transfer:the carbon material sublimated quickly due to electron condensation and thermal conduction and quickly condensed on the low-temperature metal electrode, while the carbon material transfer could partly inhibit the oxidation of the cathode metal electrode. In addition, the rapid sublimation of the carbon material produced high-temperature airflow, which would make the arc impedance fluctuate and cause the arc voltage to jump. Finally, the anode heat transfer and cathode cooling mechanism directly affected the material state, and the erosion of the anode material was more serious。 | Wenhan Xie Guangning Wu Zefeng Yang Pengpeng She Hong Wang Haozi Zuo Wenfu Wei Guoqiang Gao Chuanjun Tu | 2021 | High Voltage2021,6,4: | 1
Anti-apoptotic protein BCL-XL as a therapeutic vulnerability in gastric cancer显示文摘Background: New therapeutic targets are needed to improve the outcomes for gastric cancer(GC) patients with advanced disease. Evasion of programmed cell death(apoptosis) is a hallmark of cancer cells and direct induction of apoptosis by targeting the pro-survival BCL2 family proteins represents a promising therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. Therefore, understanding the molecular mechanisms underpinning cancer cell survival could provide a molecular basis for potential therapeutic interventions. Method: Here we explored the role of BCL2L1 and the encoded anti-apoptotic BCL-XL in GC. Using Droplet Digital PCR(ddPCR) technology to investigate the DNA amplification of BCL2L1 in GC samples and GC cell lines, the sensitivity of GC cell lines to selective BCL-XL inhibitors A1155463 and A1331852, pan-inhibitor ABT-263, and VHL-based PROTAC-BCL-XL was analyzed using(CellTiter-Glo) CTG assay in vitro. Western Blot(WB) was used to detect the protein expression of BCL2 family members in GC cell lines and the manner in which PROTAC-BCL-XL kills GC cells. Coimmunoprecipitation(Co-IP) was used to investigate the mechanism of A1331852 and ABT-263 kills GC cell lines. DDPCR, WB, and real-time PCR(RTPCR) were used to investigate the correlation between DNA, RNA, protein levels, and drug activity. Results: The functional assay showed that a subset of GC cell lines relies on BCL-XL for survival. In gastric cancer cell lines, BCL-XL inhibitors A1155463 and A1331852 are more sensitive than the pan BCL2 family inhibitor ABT-263, indicating that ABT-263 is not an optimal inhibitor of BCL-XL. VHL-based PROTAC-BCL-XL DT2216 appears to be active in GC cells. DT2216 induces apoptosis of gastric cancer cells in a time-and dose-dependent manner through the proteasome pathway. Statistical analysis showed that the BCL-XL protein level predicts the response of GC cells to BCL-XL targeting therapy and BCL2L1 gene CNVs do not reliably predict BCL-XL expression. Conclusion: We identified BCL-XL as a promising therapeutic target in a subset of GC cases with high levels of BCL-XL protein expression. Functionally, we demonstrated that both selective BCL-XL inhibitors and VHL-based PROTAC BCL-XL can potently kill GC cells that are reliant on BCL-XL for survival. However, we found that BCL2L1 copy number variations(CNVs) cannot reliably predict BCL-XL expression, but the BCL-XL protein level serves as a useful biomarker for predicting the sensitivity of GC cells to BCL-XL-targeting compounds. Taken together, our study pinpointed BCL-XL as potential druggable target for specific subsets of GC. | Yumin Wei Liping Zhang Chao Wang Zefeng Li Mingjie Luo Guomin Xie Xingjiu Yang Mengyuan Li Shuyue Ren Dongbing Zhao Ran Gao Jia-Nan Gong | 2023 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2023,6,3: | 0
Automatic detection of pecan fruits based on Faster RCNN with FPN in orchard显示文摘Although the development of the robot picking vision system is widely applied,it is very challenging for fruit detection in orchards with complex light and environment, especially for fruit colors similar to the background. In recent, there are few studies on pecan fruit detection and location based on machine vision. In this study,an accurate and efficient pecan fruit detection method was proposed based on machine vision under natural pecan orchards. In order to solve the illumination problem,a light compensation algorithm was first utilized to process the collected samples, and then an improved Faster Region Convolutional Neural Network(Faster RCNN)with the Feature Pyramid Networks(FPN)was established to train the samples. Finally, the pecan number counting method was introduced to count the number of pecan.A total of 241 pecan images were tested, and comparison experiments were carried out.The mean average precision(mAP)of the proposed detection method was 95.932%,compared with the result without uneven illumination correction(UIC),which was increased by 0.849%,while the mAP of the Single Shot Detector(SSD)+FPN was 92.991%.In addition, the number of clusters was counted using the proposed method with an accuracy rate of 93.539%compared with the actual clusters. The results demonstrate that the proposed network has good robustness for pecan fruit detection in different illumination and various unstructured environments, and the experimental achievement has great potential for robot-picking visual systems. | Chunhua Hu Zefeng Shi Hailin Wei Xiangdong Hu Yuning Xie Pingping Li | 2022 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2022,15,6: | 0
Exceptional reversed yield strength asymmetry in a rare-earth free Mg alloy containing quasicrystal precipitates显示文摘This work reports an exceptional reversed yield strength asymmetry at room temperature for a rare-earth free magnesium alloy containing a mass of fine dispersed quasicrystal(I-phase)precipitates.Although exhibiting traditional basal texture,it owns an exceptional CYS/TYS as high as~1.17.Electron back-scattered diffraction(EBSD)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)examinations indicate pyramidal and prismatic dislocations plus tensile twinning being activated after immediate yielding in compression while basal and non-basal dislocations in tension.I-phase particles transferred the concentrated stress by self-twinning to provide the driving force for tensile twin initiating in neighboring grains, thereby significantly increasing the critical resolved shear stress of tensile twinning to possibly the level of pyramidal slip, finally leading to the dominance of pyramidal slip plus tensile twinning in texture grains. This results in a higher contribution on yield strength by~55 MPa in compression than in tension, which reasonably agrees with the experimental yield strength difference(~38 MPa).It can be concluded that I-phase particles influence deformation modes in tension and in compression, finally result in reversed yield strength asymmetry. | Qiang Yang Shuhui Lv Zixiang Yan Zefeng Xie Xin Qiu | 2024 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2024,12,2: | 0
