1Explicit diagnosis of the local ozone production rate and the ozone-NOx-VOC sensitivities显示文摘In the troposphere, ozone is a harmful gas compound to both human health and vegetation. Ozone is produced from the reaction of NO_x(@NO + NO_2) and VOCs(volatile organic compounds) with light. Due to the highly nonlinear relationships between ozone and its precursors, proper ozone mitigation relies on the knowledge of chemical mechanisms. In this study, an observation-based method is used to simulate ozone formation and elucidate its controlling factors for a rural site on the North China Plain. The instantaneous ozone production rate is calculated utilizing a box model using the dataset obtained from the Wangdu campaign. First, the model was operated in a time-dependent mode to calculate the ozone production rate at each time stamp. The calculated ozone formation rate showed a diurnal average maximum value of 17 ppbv/h(1-h diurnal averaged). The contribution of individual peroxy radicals to ozone production was analyzed. In addition, the functional dependence of calculated P(O_3) reveals that ozone production was in a NO_x-limited regime during the campaign. Furthermore, the missing peroxy radical source will further extend NO_x-limited conditions to earlier in the day, making NO_xlimitation dominate more of a day than the current chemical model predicts. Finally, a multiple scenarios mode,also known as EKMA(empirical kinetic modeling approach), was used to simulate the response of P(O_3) to the imaginary change in precursor concentrations. We found that ozone production was in the NO_x-limited region. 2Major reactive species of ambient volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and their sources in Beijing显示文摘Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are important precursors of atmospheric chemical processes. As a whole mixture, the ambient VOCs show very strong chemical reactivity. Based on OH radical loss rates in the air, the chemical reactivity of VOCs in Beijing was calculated. The results revealed that alkenes, accounting for only about 15% in the mixing ratio of VOCs, provide nearly 75% of the reactivity of ambient VOCs and the C4 to C5 alkenes were the major reactive species among the alkenes. The study of emission characteristics of various VOCs sources indicated that these alkenes are mainly from vehicle exhaust and gasoline evaporation. 3Optimal quality level,order quantity and selling price for the retailer in a two-level supply chain显示文摘For a classical order quantity/pricing problem,we present a geometric programming(GP)approach to find the optimal selling price,order quantity and quality level to maximize the profit for the retail firm.Traditional models such as EOQ are not able to handle the nonlinearity of costs and demand.We adopt the GP approach and make a proper transformation of the model so as to solve this classical problem and obtain the global optimal solution.In addition to the optimal solutions,we also perform a sensitivity analysis.The study shows once more that GP is an excellent approach when decision variables interact in a nonlinear,especially exponential manner.Sihua Zhou Guohua Wan Pengzhu Zhang Yuan Li 2014Journal of Management Analytics2014,1,3:6
4Jiangtang Xiaoke granule attenuates glucose metabolism disorder via regulating endoplasmic reticulum stress in the liver of type 2 diabetes mellitus mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of Jiangtang Xiaoke(JTXK) granule on endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stress in high fat diet(HFD)-induced type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2 DM) KK-Ay mice.METHODS:KK-Ay mice were fed with HFD to induce the T2 DM model,while normal control C57 BL/6 J mice were given standard feed.Fasting blood glucose(FBG) in all mice was measured weekly and oral glucose tolerance tests(OGTTs) were performed at 4 and 10 weeks after start of treatment to determine glucose metabolism.Serum fasting insulin(FINS) and insulin sensitivity index(ISI) were measured to determine insulin sensitivity.m RNA expressions of eukaryotic initiation factor-2 alpha(e IF2α),glucose regulated protein 78(GRP78),activating transcription factor 4(ATF4),and C/EBP homology protein(CHOP) were assessed by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and the protein expressions of p-e IF2α,GRP78,and CHOP were assessed by Western blotting.RESULTS:JTXK granule significantly reduced FBG and free fatty acid levels and improved OGTT at the120 min of the 10-week treatment in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.FINS and Hb Alc levels were reduced and insulin sensitivities were increased in KK-Ay diabetic mice,which were improved with the treatment of JTXK granule,especially at the 7 and 3.5 g/kg doses.JTXK granule at the 3.5 g/kg dose was most effective in reducing both gene and protein expressions of e IF2α,GRP78,and CHOP.CONCLUSION:ER stress response is increased in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.Treatment with JTXK granule attenuates glucose disorders,improves insulin sensitivity,and reduces serum FFA in T2 DM KK-Ay mice.The mechanisms may be attributed to regulation of the signaling ER stress pathway via decreasing e IF2α phosphorylation and suppressing e IF2α-ATF4-CHOP activation.Zhang Yi Mo Fangfang Zhang Dongwei Gao Sihua Zhao Dandan Yu Na Mu Qianqian Zuo Jiacheng Ma Yue 2018Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2018,38,4:3
5Proteasome Inhibitor PS-341 Effectively Blocks Infection by the Severe Fever with Thrombocytopenia Syndrome Virus显示文摘Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome(SFTS)is an emerging hemorrhagic fever disease caused by SFTSV,a newly discovered phlebovirus that is named after the disease.Currently,no effective vaccines or drugs are available for use against SFTSV infection,as our understanding of the viral pathogenesis is limited.Bortezomib(PS-341),a dipeptideboronic acid analog,is the first clinically approved proteasome inhibitor for use in humans.In this study,the antiviral efficacy of PS-341 against SFTSV infection was tested in human embryonic kidney HEK293T(293T)cells.We employed four different assays to analyze the antiviral ability of PS-341 and determined that PS-341 inhibited the proliferation of SFTSV in 293T cells under various treatment conditions.Although PS-341 did not affect the virus absorption,PS-341 treatment within a non-toxic concentration range resulted in a significant reduction of progeny viral titers in infected cells.Dual-luciferase reporter assays and Western blot analysis revealed that PS-341 could reverse the SFTSV-encoded nonstructural protein(NS)mediated degradation of retinoic acid-inducible gene-1(RIG-I),thereby antagonizing the inhibitory effect of NSs on interferons and blocking virus replication.In addition,we observed that inhibition of apoptosis promotes virus replication.These results indicate that targeting of cellular interferon pathways and apoptosis during acute infection might serve as the bases of future therapeutics for the treatment of SFTSV infections.Sihua Liu Hongyun Liu Keke Zhang Xueping Li Yuqin Duan Zhiyun Wang Tao Wang 2019Virologica Sinica2019,34,5:3
6Polarization microwave-induced thermoacoustic imaging for quantitative characterization of deep biological tissue microstructures显示文摘Polarization optical imaging can be used to characterize anisotropy in biological tissue microstructures and has been demonstrated to be a powerful tool for clinical diagnosis. However, the approach is limited by an inability to image targets deeper than ~1 mm due to strong optical scattering in biological tissues. As such, we propose a novel polarization microwave-induced thermoacoustic imaging(P-MTAI) technique to noninvasively detect variations in deep tissue by exploiting the thermoacoustic signals induced by four pulsed microwaves of varying polarization orientations. The proposed P-MTAI method overcomes the penetration limits of conventional polarization optical imaging and provides submillimeter resolution over depths of several centimeters. As part of the paper, the structural characteristics of tissues were quantified using a new parameter, the degree of microwave absorption anisotropy. 8Asymmetricalπback-donation of hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pairs for enhanced electrochemical nitrogen reduction显示文摘The breaking of nonpolar N≡N bond of dinitrogen is the biggest dilemma for electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)application,driving electron migration between catalysts and N≡N bond(termed“πback-donation”process)is crucial for attenuating interfacial energy barrier but still remains challenging.Herein,using density functional theory calculations,we revealed that constructing a unique hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pair could effectively activate N≡N bond with a lying-down chemisorption configuration by an asymmetrical“πback-donation”process.As a proof-of-concept demonstration,we synthesized MoO_(2)@MoO_(3)heterostructure with double Mo sites(Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)),which are embedded in graphite,for electrochemical nitrogen reduction.Impressively,this hetero-dicationic Mo^(4+)-Mo^(6+)pair catalysts display more excellent catalytic performance with a high NH_(3)yield(60.9μg·h^(-1)·mg^(-1))and Faradic efficiency(23.8%)as NRR catalysts under ambient conditions than pristine MoO_(2)and MoO_(3).Operando characterizations using synchrotron-based spectroscopic techniques identified the emergence of a key^(*)N_(2)Hy intermediate on Mo sites during NRR,which indicates that the Mo sites are active sites and the NRR process tends to follow an associative mechanism.This novel type of hetero-dicationic catalyst has tremendous potential as a new class of transition metal-based catalysts with promising applications in electrocatalysis and catalysts for energy conversion and storage.Hao Tan Qianqian Ji Chao Wang Hengli Duan Yuan Kong Yao Wang Sihua Feng Liyang Lv Fengchun Hu Wenhua Zhang Wangsheng Chu Zhihu Sun Wensheng Yan 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:2
9Development of a Liquid Chip Technique to Simultaneously Detect Taura Syndrome Virus( TSV) and Yellow Head Disease Virus( YHDV)显示文摘The aim is to develop a liquid chip technique to detect Taura syndrome virus( TSV) and yellow head disease virus( YHDV) on Penaeus orientalis simultaneously. The CP2 gene of TSV and N gene of YHDV in Gen Bank was analysed by using the software DNAStar 7. 0 to design the TSV-and YHDV-specific primers. The primers were labeled with biotin and subjected to amination modification. They were then coupled with fluorescence-coded microspheres and then used for hybridization with RT- PCR products of TSV and YHDV. The liquid chip detection technique for detection of TSV and YHDV was established by using BD FACSArray to detect fluorescence signal in the reaction system. This assay system had a high sensitivity to TSV and YHDV,with the detection of limit of 100 pg. Moreover,the assay was specific for the detection of TSV,YHDV and was not susceptible to cross with other viruses,including white spot syndrome virus( WSSV),spring viremia of carp virus( SVCV),infectious haematopoietic necrosis virus( IHNV). In conclusion,the liquid chip assay technique established in this study is highly sensitive and specific to TSV and YHDV detection. 18Effect of biochar application method and amount on the soil quality and maize yield in Mollisols of Northeast China显示文摘There have been many studies on soil quality and crop yield using different biochar application amounts,but few studies have focused on the combination of different methods and amounts of biochar application in moderately degraded Mollisols.In this study,the methods of mixing biochar evenly with the soil of the plough layer(0-20 cm depth)[homogeneous biochar application(HO)]and burying biochar above the soil plow pan(under 20 cm depth)(heterogeneous biochar application(HE))were used to reveal how biochar application methods influenced soil quality,crop yield and agronomic characteristics in moderately degraded Mollisols(soil organic matter(SOM),30.33 g kg^(−1)).The biochar application amounts were 0(control),10(level 1),20(level 2),and 40(level 3)t ha^(−1)in both the HO and HE treatments.The results showed that,compared with control,HO3 significantly increased maize yield in the first year,and HO2,HO3,HE2 and HE3 continuously increased maize yield in the next three years but not significantly.HO1 and HE1 had the lowest maize yield.HO2 tended to delay maize leaf senescence.There was a posi-tive linear relationship between soil quality index(SQI)and biochar application amount in HO.Compared with other treatments,the pH,EC,SOM,available phosphorus,sucrase and catalase activities were highest in HO3.However,the effects of HE on soil quality and crop productivity were limited at first but gradually increased with time.Overall,HO3 was beneficial for improving the soil quality and crop productivity in Mollisols for short-term cultivation(3-year),while HE showed an effect over time.Sihua Yan Shaoliang Zhang Pengke Yan Muhammad Aurangzeib 2022Biochar2022,4,1:1
