| 1 | Response of the accumulation of proline in the bodies of Populus euphratica to the change of groundwater level at the lower reaches of Tarim River显示文摘The content of proline in the plant bodies is closely related to the converse-succession-resistant capability of the plants. In this paper, the relationship between the proline accumulation in the bodies of Populus euphratica and the change of groundwater level is analyzed by taking Popu-lus euphratica, the main community-building species of the desert riparian forests along the Tarim River, as the research object. The research results show that the accumulation of proline in the bodies of Populus euphratica is closely related to the change of groundwater level gradient under drought stress, it increases with the drawdown of groundwater level and the increase of moisture stress degree; the accumulation of proline in the bodies of Populus euphratica has two ex-tremely high points at the groundwater depth ranges of 3.64—5.14 m and 9.46—10.16 m. Combining the field investiga-tion and the analysis of the plots, it is considered that the groundwater level of 3.5—4.5 m is rational for the growth of Populus euphratica. It has been indicated that the damp oscillatory reactions in the non-equilibrium close system and open system without the supplement of dissipative substance have important significance for the throng token and analysis of chemical com-ponents in Chinese traditional medicines. | 4 | A fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling and its applications显示文摘We propose a fundamental theorem for eco-environmental surface modelling(FTEEM) in order to apply it into the fields of ecology and environmental science more easily after the fundamental theorem for Earth’s surface system modeling(FTESM). The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei(BTH) region is taken as a case area to conduct empirical studies of algorithms for spatial upscaling, spatial downscaling, spatial interpolation, data fusion and model-data assimilation, which are based on high accuracy surface modelling(HASM), corresponding with corollaries of FTEEM. The case studies demonstrate how eco-environmental surface modelling is substantially improved when both extrinsic and intrinsic information are used along with an appropriate method of HASM. Compared with classic algorithms, the HASM-based algorithm for spatial upscaling reduced the root-meansquare error of the BTH elevation surface by 9 m. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial downscaling reduced the relative error of future scenarios of annual mean temperature by 16%. The HASM-based algorithm for spatial interpolation reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean precipitation by 0.2%. The HASM-based algorithm for data fusion reduced the relative error of change trend of annual mean temperature by 70%. The HASM-based algorithm for model-data assimilation reduced the relative error of carbon stocks by 40%. | 5 | Anti-P-selectin lectin-EGF domain monoclonal antibody inhibits the maturation of human immature dendritic cells显示文摘Dendritic cells(DCs) are professinal antigen-presenting cells with the ability to initiate primary Tcell responses. While it iswell known that inflammatory stimuli induce the functional maturation of immature DCs, whether adhesion molecule selectins regulate DCmaturation is poorly understood. Using anti-P-selectin lectin-EGF domain monoclonal antibody (PsL-EGFmAb) that blocks the adhesionof P-, E-, and L-selectin, we demonstrate herein that selectins play important role in stimulating functional maturation of immature DCs.Immature DCs are generated from human cord blood CD34+hematopoietic stem/progenitor cells that were cultured in the presence of stemcell factor, Fms-like tyrosine-kinase-3 ligand, granulocyte-macrophage colony stimulating factor, and transform growth factor-β1. Whenstimulated with tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α), immature DCs differentiated into mature DCs, producing increased levels of costim-ulatory molecules and interleukin (IL)-12 and obtaining the ability to potently activate naive Tcells. Interestingly, in contrast to matureDCs derived from TNF-α-induced immature DC cultures without PsL-EGFmAb, immature DCs treated with PsL-EGFmAb for7 days werecompletely blocked their maturation, as evidenced by decreased expression of costimulatory molecules CD80, CD86, and CD83, inhibi-ted production of IL-12, and inability to activate naive Tcellsin vitro. | 11 | THERMOMECHANICAL RESPONSE OF SMA FIBER COMPOSITES WITH NON-UNIFORM TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION显示文摘A micromechanics method based on the High-Order-Theory developed by Aboudi et al. is used to predict the thermomechanical response of composites reinforced by shape memory alloy (SMA) fibers, and the non-uniform thermal distribution in composite arising from the process of heating or cooling is considered. The numerical development based on this model was coded to predict the thermomechanical response of shape memory alloy fiber/elastomer matrix composite subjected to thermal cycle loading. When the composite is heated, two heating ways, thermal gradients and heat source by passing an electric current through the SMA fibers are imposed on the composite respectively. Upon cooling, the first thermal boundary condition and the second thermal boundary condition are subjected to the composite respectively. A series of stress distributions and temperature distributions for different instants are calculated to reveal the interaction between the SMA material and matrix. | 16 | A high-accuracy DCO with hybrid architecture显示文摘In this paper, a novel hybrid digital-controlled oscillator(DCO) is proposed, which is used to improve the accuracy of the all-digital clock generator without reference source. The DCO with hybrid architecture consists of two parts: DCO_high and DCO_low. The DCO_high decides the coarse output frequency of DCO, and adopts the cascade structure to decrease the area. The DCO_low adopts the chain structure with three-state buffer, and decides the fine output frequency of DCO. Compared with traditional cascade DCO, the proposed hybrid DCO features higher precision with less inherent delay. Therefore the clock generator can tolerate process, voltage and temperature(PVT) variation and meet the needs of different conditions. The DCO is designed in SMIC 180 nm CMOS process with 0.021 mm^2 chip area. The output frequency is adjusted from 15–120 MHz. | 18 | Malignant transformation and treatment of cystic mixed germ cell tumor显示文摘Objective:The authors report an extremely unusual presentation and management of a children pineal mixed germ cell tumor mainly composed of immature teratoma,aiming to summarize main theraptic points by literature review.Methods:A cystic lesion located in the rear of third ventricle in a child was detected3 years ago with no other therapy performed except for a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt.During the following 3 years,intermitted regular brain MRI demonstrated no evidence of lesion aggrandizement.However from 20 days before admission to our institute the patient began to present acutely with exacerbating clinical symptoms meanwhile brain MRI showed signs of abrupt revulsions of initial lesion without any incentive cause.Neurological examination revealed a significant rising of serum tumor marker level.Then surgical resection was performed immediately after admission which was followed by correlative two-course chemotherapy.Results:Postoperative brain MRI demonstrated totally removing of the lesion in rear of third ventricle.Serum tumor marker level decreased remarkably after surgery and declined to normal level after two-course chemotherapy.No obvious neurological deficit occurred except for short-term memory difficulty which gradually recovered within two weeks.Soon after the second course chemotherapy the patient was currently asymptomatic and returned to school.Conclusions:(1)To ensure definitive diagnosis and proper therapecutic protocols benefit from grasping clinical features of mixed germ cell tumor.(2)Overall preoperative investigation including serum tumor marker level is as critical as neurological imaging examination.(3)Surgical excision is confirmed to be the key modality of treatment.With the regarding of mixed germ cell tumor,never highlight total resection too much.(4)Postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy is recommended as further intensive treatment to improve the prognosis of mix germ cell tumor. | Yapeng Zhao Hongyu Duan Qinghui Zhang Bingxin Shi Hui Liang Yuqi Zhang | 2016 | Translational Neuroscience and Clinics2016,2,1: | 0 |

| 20 | Nitrogen doped porous carbon-based bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst with controllable phosphorus content for zinc-air battery显示文摘The controllable construction of non-noble metal based bifunctional catalysts with high activities towards oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is of great significance,but remains a challenge.Herein,we reported an effective method to synthesize cobalt-nitrogen doped mesoporous carbon-based bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst with controllable phosphorus content(Co-N-P_(X)-MC,X=0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0).The mesoporous carbon substrate endowed the asprepared samples with more exposed active surface(236.50 m^(2)·g^(−1))and the most appropriate doping ratio of phosphorus had been investigated to be 1.5(Co-N-P1.5-MC).For ORR,Co-N-P1.5-MC exhibited excellent catalytic activity with more positive onset potential(1.01 V)and half-wave potential(0.84 V)than the other samples.For OER,Co-N-P1.5-MC also showed a low overpotential of 415 mV.Combining experimental results and density-functional theory(DFT)calculations,the outstanding bifunctional catalytic performance of Co-N-P1.5-MC was due to the synergistic cooperation between the P and N dopants,which could reduce the reaction barriers and was favorable for ORR and OER.Moreover,the Zn-air battery using Co-N-P1.5-MC as the cathode showed remarkable battery performance with high stability(could operate stably for over 160 h at 10 mA·cm^(−2))and maximum power density(119 mW·cm^(−2)),demonstrating its potential for practical applications.This work could provide significant enlightenment towards the design and construction of bifunctional oxygen electrocatalyst for next-generation electrochemical devices. | Shichang Cai Zihan Meng Gaojie Li Yu An Yapeng Cheng Erjun Kan Bo Ouyang Haining Zhang Haolin Tang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
