| 1 | Formation and migration of space charge packet in low density polyethylene显示文摘Pressure wave propagation (PWP) method was utilized to observe the space charges packet-like behavior in sheet samples of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) under the relative low electric field. The experimental results show that space charge packets are always generated at the anode and move across the sample to the cathode regard- less of the polarity of DC voltage. | 2 | Percutaneous penetration enhancement effect of essential oil of mint (Mentha haplocalyx Briq.) on Chinese herbal components with different lipophilicity显示文摘Objective:To investigate the percutaneous penetration effect of essential oil of mint from Mentha haplocalyx Briq.on the complex active components in Chinese herbal external preparations,and assess its toxicity on the skin cells.Methods:The cytotoxicity of mint oil on HaCaT keratinocytes and CCC-ESF-1 fibroblasts was measured using an MTT assay.Five model drugs with a wide range of lipophilicity,namely osthole,tetramethylpyrazine,ferulic acid,puerarin,and geniposide,were tested using in vitro permeation studies to investigate the percutaneous penetration enhancement effect of mint oil.Secondary structure alterations of skin stratum corneum(SC)were measured using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).Saturation solubilities and SC/vehicle partition coefficients of the five model drugs with and without mint oil were also determined to understand the potential mechanisms of the essential oil.Results:Half maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50)values of mint oil were significantly higher in HaCaT and CCC-ESF-1 cell lines than values in the well-established and standard penetration enhancer Azone.Conclusions:Mint oil at proper concentration could effectively facilitate percutaneous penetration of both lipophilic and hydrophilic drugs,and exhibit higher efficiency for moderate hydrophilic drugs.Mechanisms of penetration enhancement by mint oil could be explained with saturation solubility,SC/vehicle partition coefficient and the secondary structure change of SC. | Jingyan Wang Yi Lan Hui Li Yewen Zhang Qing Zhang Yanfeng Cao Qing Wu | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,2: | 4 |

| 4 | Effect of co-existent components in CO2 supercritical fluid extract of Angelica Sinensis Radix on metabolism of Z-ligustilide after oral administration in rats显示文摘Objective:To establish a basis for Angelica Sinensis Radix(ASR)as a dietary supplement for colorectal cancer chemoprevention,the effect of co-existent components in supercritical fluid extract(SFE)of ASR on the pharmacokinetics of Z-ligustilide after oral administration was investigated in vitro and in vivo.Methods:Incubation in gastrointestinal contents and incubation in rat liver tissue homogenates post-mitochondrial supernatant(PMS)experiments were used to study changes in the levels of Z-ligustilide in vitro.Results:Within 4 hours,the level of Z-ligustilide in SFE declined at a slower rate than in its pure form.Clearance of Z-ligustilide after administration in its pure form was significantly slower than that of SFE of ASR(CL,0.96±0.16 mL·min/kg versus 1.24±0.21 mL·min/kg P<0.05;AUC,243.37±16.84 versus 176.69±12.59 mg·min/L).Conclusion:These phenomena may be attributed to the interactions between the co-existent components in SFE of ASR and Z-ligustilide enhancing the stability of Z-ligustilide.These results suggest that the bioavailability of Z-ligustilide in SFE of ASR is improved.However,stabilization of plasma concentration was not sustained,so that the efficacy of active components could not be maintained.Thus,further processing of SFE of ASR is required. | Bochen Zhao Qing Zhang Hongmei Lin Qingguo Ru Qian Kang Hui Li Yewen Zhang Qing Wu | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2014,1,2: | 2 |
| 5 | Using unmanned aerial vehicles with thermal-image acquisition cameras for animal surveys:a case study on the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey in the Qinling Mountains显示文摘Following significant developments in technology,alternative devices have been applied in fieldwork for animal and plant surveys.Thermal-image acquisition cameras installed on unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)have been used in animal surveys in the wilderness.This article demonstrates an example of how UAVs can be used in high mountainous regions,presenting a case study on the Sichuan snub-nosed monkey with a detection rate of 65.19%for positive individual identification.It also presents a model that can prospectively predict population size for a given animal species,which is based on combined initial work using UAVs and traditional surveys on the ground.A great potential advantage of UAVs is significantly shortening survey procedures,particularly for areas with high mountains and plateaus,such as the Himalayas,the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau,Hengduan Mountains,the Yunnan-Gui Plateau and Qinling Mountains in China,where carrying out a traditional survey is extremely difficult,so that species and population surveys,particularly for critically endangered animals,are largely absent.This lack of data has impacted the management of endangered animals as well as the formulation and amendment of conservation strategies. | Gang HE Haitao YANG Ruliang PAN Yewen SUN Pengbin ZHENG Jinghua WANG Xuelin JIN Jingjie ZHANG Baoguo LI Songtao GUO | 2020 | Integrative Zoology2020,15,1: | 2 |

| 16 | Action of space charge on aging and breakdown of polymers显示文摘The study on how space charges affect aging and breakdown of polymers becomes one of the most important domains. Most of the models are based on the injected charges increasing the local field to induce the breakdown of polymers and breaking the large molecule chains. These models ignore the effects of space charge on the microstruc-ture of dielectric materials. In this review, with the calculation of the electromagnetic energy and the electromechanical energy around a trapped charge and with some new experimental results, it is proved that aging and breakdown in polymers are caused during the detrapping of the trapped charges. | 20 | Harnessing the synergy of perfusable muscle flap matrix and adipose-derived stem cells for prevascularization and macrophage polarization to reconstruct volumetric muscle loss显示文摘Muscle flaps must have a strong vascular network to support a large tissue volume and ensure successful engraftment.We developed porcine stomach musculofascial flap matrix(PDSF)comprising extracellular matrix(ECM)and intact vasculature.PDSF had a dominant vascular pedicle,microcirculatory vessels,a nerve network,well-retained 3-dimensional(3D)nanofibrous ECM structures,and no allo-or xenoantigenicity.In-depth proteomic analysis demonstrated that PDSF was composed of core matrisome proteins(e.g.,collagens,glycoproteins,proteoglycans,and ECM regulators)that,as shown by Gene Ontology term enrichment analysis,are functionally related to musculofascial biological processes.Moreover,PDSF��human adipose-derived stem cell(hASC)synergy not only induced monocytes towards IL-10��producing M2 macrophage polarization through the enhancement of hASCs’paracrine effect but also promoted the proliferation and interconnection of both human skeletal muscle myoblasts(HSMMs)and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)in static triculture conditions.Furthermore,PDSF was successfully prevascularized through a dynamic perfusion coculture of hASCs and HUVECs,which integrated with PDSF and induced the maturation of vascular networks in vitro.In a xenotransplantation model,PDSF demonstrated myoconductive and immunomodulatory properties associated with the predominance of M2 macrophages and regulatory T cells.In a volumetric muscle loss(VML)model,prevascularized PDSF augmented neovascularization and constructive remodeling,which was characterized by the predominant infiltration of M2 macrophages and significant musculofascial tissue formation.These results indicate that hASCs’integration with PDSF enhances the cells’dual function in immunomodulation and angiogenesis.Owing in part to this PDSF-hASC synergy,our platform shows promise for vascularized muscle flap engineering for VML reconstruction. | Qixu Zhang Yulun Chiu Youbai Chen Yewen Wu Lina W.Dunne Rene D.Largo Edward I.Chang David M.Adelman Mark V.Schaverien Charles E.Butler | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,4: | 1 |
