2Biostability in distribution systems in one city in southern China: Characteristics, modeling and control strategy显示文摘This study investigated the bacterial regrowth in drinking water distribution systems receiving finished water from an advanced drinking water treatment plant in one city in southern China. Thirteen nodes in two water supply zones with different aged pipelines were selected to monitor water temperature, dissolved oxygen(DO), chloramine residual, assimilable organic carbon(AOC), and heterotrophic plate counts(HPC). Regression and principal component analyses indicated that HPC had a strong correlation with chloramine residual. Based on Chick-Watson's Law and the Monod equation, biostability curves under different conditions were developed to achieve the goal of HPC 100 CFU/mL. The biostability curves could interpret the scenario under various AOC concentrations and predict the required chloramine residual concentration under the condition of high AOC level. The simulation was also carried out to predict the scenario with a stricter HPC goal( 50 CFU/mL) and determine the required chloramine residual. The biological regrowth control strategy was assessed using biostability curve analysis. The results indicated that maintaining high chloramine residual concentration was the most practical way to achieve the goal of HPC 100 CFU/mL. Biostability curves could be a very useful tool for biostability control in distribution systems. 3Soil Erosion of Various Farming Systems in Subtropical China显示文摘In order to optimise land use systems,to prevent erosion-induced degradation and to restore the degraded red soils in subtropical China,five cropping systems and four agrforestry systems were conducted in red soils with a slope of 7° from 1993 to 1995,The results showed that erosion risk period occurred from Aproil to June,and the annual runoff and and the losses of soil and nutrients with sediment were alarming for two conventional farming systems,whereas they were negligible for the farming systems with ridge tillage.Enrichment ratios of the lost soils from erosion erer more than 1.20 for all nutrients with much higher values for hydrolysable N and organic matter.Compared with the control,the alley cropping systems also distinctly decreased runoff by 30% or 50%.However,the coverage of soil surface varied with alley cropping systems for the competition of nutrients and soil water,which made a profound difference in runoff.The cropping systems of sweet potato intercropped with soybean,the alley cropping systems and the measures of mulching and ridge tillage were the alternatives for red soil reclamation so as to prevent erosion-induced degradation.ZHANGBIN ZHANGTAOLIN1996Pedosphere1996,6,3:5
4Effect of polypeptide 2B1 on condition of dampness pattern in rats in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine显示文摘OBJECTIVE: This study investigated how polypeptide 2B1 is involved in regulating and governing dampness in rat models with dampness pattern defined in terms ofTraditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS: We randomly divided 48 SPF10-week-old male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats into a normal group, normal + Aristolochic acid I(AA-I) for5 min group, normal + AA-I for 60 min group,dampness pattern group(DS-Group), dampness pattern + AA-I for 5 min group, and dampness pattern + AA-I for 60 min group. Groups were then treated accordingly. We took out the lung, stomach, liver, spleen, kidney, large intestine, and small intestine tissues to detect gene and protein expression of organic anion transporter polypeptide 2B1(OATP2B1).RESULTS: Gene expression of OATP2B1 in spleen,kidney, and small intestine of rats with dampness pattern was lower than that in normal rats(P<0.05).The gene expressions of OATP2B1 in liver, stomach,large intestine, and small intestine were lower than that in control rats at different time points after being stimulated by AA-I(P<0.05).CONCLUSION: There is coordination among multiple viscera in handling the condition of dampness,and the mechanism underlying the action may rely on regulating the expression of OATP2B1.Zhangbin Yang Ting Xiang Shijun Zhang Hongrui Zhan Zexiong Chen Baoguo Sun Xiaoling Chen Jingli Shi Bin Ren 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,2:3
5Comparison of Taste Components between Triploid and Diploid Oyster显示文摘The main taste components of triploid and diploid oyster (Crassostrea gigas) were compared. Free amino acids, inosine monophosphate, succinate, trimethylamine oxide and betaine in fresh and boiled extractives were analyzed. The protein, lipids, glycogen, moisture and ash, which may affect the flavour, were evaluated. In boiled extractives, the amino acids were 394.1 mg(100 g) -1 in diploid and 183.5 mg(100 g) -1 in triploid. However, in fresh oyster extractives, they were 320.0 mg(100 g) -1 and 147.3 mg(100 g) -1 respectively. The inosine monophosphate in triploid was 44% more than that in diploid, and a little difference existed in the content of trimethylamine oxide between them. 8Analysis of the Generalized Self-Shrinking Generator with the Filter Function Known显示文摘The Generalized self-shrinking (GSS) generator is a specialization of the shrinking generator and a generalization of the self-shrinking generator. It is proved that this generator has some attractive properties in cryptographic senses such as long period, high linear complexity and good random properties. In this paper we demonstrate an attack on the GSS generator based on a property of maximum-length sequence. Our results show that all the GSS keystreams are vulnerable to a clock guessing attack provided that the filter function (vector g) is known, thus much improve the results of the designers. Assuming a short known segment of keystream bits, our attack on the generalized self-shrinking generator has the same complexity as that on the self-shrinking generator, O(2^0.694L), where L is the length of the LFSR used in the generator. Our conclusion is that the GSS generator is no more secure than the self-shrinking generator with the filter function known. 19Mannotriose regulates learning and memory signal transduction in the hippocampus显示文摘Rehmannia is a commonly used Chinese herb,which improves learning and memory.However,the crucial components of the signal transduction pathway associated with this effect remain elusive.Primary hippocampal neurons were cultured in vitro,insulted with high-concentration(1 × 10 –4 mol/L) corticosterone,and treated with 1 × 10 –4 mol/L mannotriose.Thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide assay and western blot analysis showed that hippocampal neuron survival rates and protein levels of glucocorticoid receptor,serum and glucocorticoid-regulated protein kinase,and brain-derived neurotrophic factor were all dramatically decreased after high-concentration corticosterone-induced injury.This effect was reversed by mannotriose,to a similar level as RU38486 and donepezil.Our findings indicate that mannotriose could protect hippocampal neurons from high-concentration corticosterone-induced injury.The mechanism by which this occurred was associated with levels of glucocorticoid receptor protein,serum and glucocorticoid-regulated protein kinase,and brain-derived neurotrophic factor.Lina Zhang Weiwei Dai Xueli Zhang Zhangbin Gong Guoqin Jin 2013Neural Regeneration Research2013,8,32:1
