5Organoid models of gastrointestinal Neoplasms:Origin,current status and future applications in personalized medicine显示文摘The in vitro organoid model is a major technological breakthrough that has been established as an important tool in many basic biological and clinical applications.This near-physiological 3D culture system accurately models various biological processes,including tissue renewal,stem cell/niche functions and tissue responses to drugs,mutations or damage.Organoids have the potential value of being an accurate model for disease predictions or drug screening applications and to identify the ideal treatment for that patient.Carcinogenesis can be modeled by mutating specific cancer genes in wild-type organoids;and patient-derived organoids provide an important resource in the development of personalized cancer treatment.Organoids from cancer patients could be used to identify the ideal treatment for a specific patient by growing matched healthy and diseased organoids from human cancer patients which additionally enables clinical screens for drug combinations.Organoids could also provide autologous cells ordin the futuredtissue for transplantation.In this review,we discuss the current advances,challenges and potential applications of this technique in gastrointestinal neoplasms.Yi Pan Shuliang Zhao Zhijun Cao 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,4:1
6Construction of Oryza sativa genome contigs by fingerprint strategy显示文摘We described the construction of BAC contigs of the genome of a indica variety of Oryza sativa, Guang Lu Ai 4.An entire representative (sixfold coverage of rice chromosomes) and genetically stable BAC library of rice genome constructed in this lab has been systematically analysed by restriction enzyme fragmentation and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. And all the images thus obtained were subject to image-processing, which consisted of preliminary location of bands, cooperative tracking of lanesby correlation of adjacent bands, a precise densitometric pass, alignment at the marker bands with the standard,optional interactive editing, and normalization of the accepted bands. The contigs were generated based on the Computer Software specially designed for genome map ping. The number of contigs with 600 kb in length on average was 464; of contigs with 1000 kb in length on average was 107; of contigs with 1500 kb in length on average was 23. Therefore, all the contigs we have obtained amounted up to 420 megabases in length. Considering the size of rice genome (430 megabased), the contigs generated in this lab have covered nearly 98% of the rice genome. 8The SUMO E3 ligase CBX4 is identified as a poor prognostic marker of gastric cancer through multipronged OMIC analyses显示文摘Gastric cancer(GC)is one of the most common malignancies,with an everincreasing incidence and high mortality rate.Chromobox4(CBX4),also named hPC2,is a small ubiquitin-related modifier(SUMO)E3 ligase.Previous studies have found that high CBX4 expression is associated with tumor size,pathologic differentiation and decreased patient survival in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,the expression and prognostic value of CBX4 in GC have not been clarified.In our study,ONCOMINE,UALCAN,KaplanMeier Plotter,cBioPortal,DAVID 6.8 and TIMER were utilized.RT-PCR,immunohistochemistry(IHC),Western blot,CCK-8 assay,cell apoptosis assay,cell cycle assay were used to further verify in GC tissue samples or cell line.The transcriptional and protein level of CBX4 in GC tissues was found significantly elevated and a significant association between the expression of CBX4 and clinicopathological parameters was found in GC patients.Low expression of CBX4 in GC patients were correlated with a significantly improved prognosis.The functions of CBX4 are primarily related to the stem cell pluripotency signaling pathway,Hippo signaling pathway,HTLV-I infection,Notch signaling pathway,and N-glycan biosynthesis.Our results may provide novel insights for the selection of therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers for GC.Yi Pan Qingshang Li Zhijun Cao Shuliang Zhao 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,6:1

10MgF_(2) as abundant and environmentally friendly electrolytes for high performance electrochromic devices显示文摘Electrochromic devices(ECDs)can regulate the indoor solar radiation by adjusting optical transmissive properties,showing great commercial potential and important social value of green energy saving.However,the unsafety and high cost of Li^(+) based electrolyte hinder the large-scale and industrialized production of ECDs.Other metal ions have been used as electrolyte ions,but they are rarely reported in all solid state ECDs.In this study,MgF_(2) film is used as the solid electrolyte to construct all solid state ECD with the structure of glass/ITO/WO_(3)/MgF_(2)/NiO/ITO.The ECD shows the large optical modulation(~83%at 820 nm,with 100 s durations)and fast response(19.2 s for bleaching and 8.3 s for coloring,with 25 s durations).Moreover,the ECD achieves the extreme transmittance value of colored states Tc=0%,which can give an absolute private state.This work not only indicates that MgF_(2) film can be an alternative to Lit based electrolyte in all solid state ECDs,but also broadens the applications of all solid state EC smart windows to private buildings.Xi Chen Wenjie Li Shuliang Dou Lebin Wang Yingming Zhao Xiang Zhang Yao Li Jiupeng Zhao 2021Journal of Materiomics2021,7,6:1
11STATE:A Clustering Algorithm Focusing on Edges Instead of Centers显示文摘With the expansion of data scale and the increase in data complexity,it is particularly important to accurately identify clusters and efficiently save clustering results.To address this,we propose a novel clustering algorithm,Shape clustering based on data field(STATE),which can quickly identify clusters of arbitrary shapes and greatly reduce the storage space of clustering results in any datasets without reducing the accuracy.STATE mainly focuses on finding the edges of clusters and directions of edges instead of clustering centers through the data field.The results of STATE are presented as the edges of clusters without data objects inside clusters and without noise.Extensive experiments show that STATE can recognize complex data distribution in noisy environments without discrimination and greatly save the storage space of clustering results.When it is applied in a real-world scene,facial feature extraction,STATE can recognize eyes,nose,mouth,eyebrows and facial contours automatically without calibrating key features or training.Using the extracted facial features,we achieve facial recognition with high accuracy.ZHAO Boxiang WANG Shuliang LIU Chuanlu 2021Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,5:0

13Preparation of Functionalized Fe304@SiO2 MagneticNanoparticles for Monoclonal Antibody Purification显示文摘Magnetic Fe304@SiO2 nanoparticles with superparamagnetic properties were prepared via a reverse mi-croemulsion method at room temperature. The as-prepared samples were characterized by transmission electron mi-croscopy(TEM), X-ray diffractometry(XRD), and vibrating sample magnetometry(VSM). The Fe304@SiO2 nanopar-ticles were modified by (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane(APTES) and subsequently activated by glutaraldehyde(Glu).Protein A was successfully immobilized covalently onto the Glu activated Fe304@SiO2 nanoparticles. The adsorptioncapacity of the nanoparticles was determined on an ultraviolet spectrophotometer(UV) and approximately up to 203mg/g of protein A could be uniformly immobilized onto the modified Fe304@SiO2 magnetic beads. The core-shell ofthe Fe304@SiO2 magnetic beads decorated with protein A showed a good binding capacity for the chime-ric anti-EGFR monoclonal antibody(anti-EGFR mAb). The purity of the anti-EGFR mAb was analyzed by virtue ofHPLC. 14Tunable VO_(2) cavity enables multispectral manipulation from visible to microwave frequencies显示文摘Optical materials capable of dynamically manipulating electromagnetic waves are an emerging field in memories,optical modulators,and thermal management.Recently,their multispectral design preliminarily attracts much attention,aiming to enhance their efficiency and integration of functionalities.However,the multispectral manipulation based on these materials is challenging due to their ubiquitous wavelength dependence restricting their capacity to narrow wavelengths.In this article,we cascade multiple tunable optical cavities with selective-transparent layers,enabling a universal approach to overcoming wavelength dependence and establishing a multispectral platform with highly integrated functions.Based on it,we demonstrate the multispectral(ranging from 400 nm to 3 cm),fast response speed(0.9 s),and reversible manipulation based on a typical phase change material,vanadium dioxide.Our platform involves tandem VO_(2)-based Fabry–Pérot(F-P)cavities enabling the customization of optical responses at target bands independently.It can achieve broadband color-changing capacity in the visible region(a shift of~60 nm in resonant wavelength)and is capable of freely switching between three typical optical models(transmittance,reflectance,and absorptance)in the infrared to microwave regions with drastic amplitude tunability exceeding 0.7.This work represents a state-of-art advance in multispectral optics and material science,providing a critical approach for expanding the multispectral manipulation ability of optical systems.Hang Wei Jinxin Gu Tao Zhao Zhiyuan Yan He-Xiu Xu Shuliang Dou Cheng-Wei Qiu Yao Li 2024Light(Science & Applications)2024,13,3:0
15Co-NC as adsorbent and matrix providing the ability of MALDI MS to analyze volatile compounds显示文摘Traditional matrix does not allow matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry(MALDI MS) to analyze volatile compounds,because volatile analytes may vaporize during the sample preparation process or in the high vacuum circumstance of ion source.Herein,we reported a Co and N doped porous carbon material(Co-NC) which were synthesized by pyrolysis of a Schiff base coordination compound.Co-NC could simultaneously act as adsorbent of volatile compounds and as matrix of MALDI MS,to provide the capability of MALDI MS to analyze volatile compounds.As adsorbent,Co-NC could stro ngly adsorb and enrich the volatile compounds in perfume and herbs,and hold them even in the high vacuum circumstance.On the other hand,Co-NC could absorb the energy of the laser,and then transfer the energy to the analyte for desorption and ionization of analyte in both negative and positive ionization modes.Additionally,the background interferences were avoided in the low-mass region(<500 Da) when using Co-NC as matrix,overcoming the challenges of MALDI MS analysis of small molecule compounds.In summary,Co-NC as matrix tremendously extended the application of MALDI MS.Shumu Li Jian’an Liu Jiping Sun Zhenpeng Wang Kai Wang Lei Guo Shuliang Yang Jinchao Wei Xiangjun Zheng Zhenwen Zhao 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,1:0
16Experimental Testing of Greenhouse-Integrated Vanadium-Titanium Black Ceramic Solar Absorbers显示文摘As a solution for solar heating, the low-cost and long-life vanadium-titanium black ceramic solar absorbers have been used in rural construction. However, in contrast to its high absorptance(0.93-0.97), ceramic also has high emissivity(approximately 90%) and low thermal conductivity(1.3 W/(m·K)). Without a glaze covering, ceramic absorbers cannot meet the industrial standard. This paper assumes that glaze covering can be substituted by insulation film in a solar greenhouse. To verify this assumption, field experiments were conducted. First, a traditional greenhouse in the Tacheng Basin, a severely cold area in China, was renovated to improve its passive thermal performance. Then, 90 m^(2) of ceramic absorbers and floor coils as well as a water tank were installed inside the greenhouse, which made the entire construction act as an integrated solar collector. This heat collection and release system moderately increased the indoor air temperature(0.9℃-22.4℃) and substantially increased the soil temperature(15.5℃-31.2℃). The average daily useful heat gain under a daily solar insolation value of 17 MJ/m^(2) was 13.8 MJ, and the mean value of the collection efficiency was 0.81. Furthermore, the payback time of the project(7 years) is short, which is principally due to the low cost of ceramic materials and the financial savings of the shared construction components(e.g., transparent cover, metal frame and extra insulation). 18Effect of Unit Cell Shape on Switchable Infrared Metamaterial VO_(2)Absorbers/Emitters显示文摘Metamaterial absorber/emitter is an important aspect of infrared radiation manipulation.In this paper,we proposed four simple switchable infrared metamaterial absorbers/emitters with Ag/VO_(2)disks on the Ag plane employing triangle,square,hexagon,and circle unit cells.The spectral absorption peaks whose intensities are above 0.99 occur at~4μm after structure optimization when VO_(2)is in insulating state and disappear when VO_(2)becomes metallic state.The simulated electromagnetic field reveals that the spectral absorption peaks are attributed to the excitation of magnetic polariton within the insulating VO_(2)spacer layer,whose values exceed 1.59 orders of magnitude higher than the incident magnetic field.Longer resonant wavelength would be excited in square arrays because its configuration is a better carrier of charges at the same spans.For absorption stability,the absorbers/emitters with square and circular structures do not have any change with the polarization angles changing from 0°to 90°,due to the high rotational symmetric structure.And four absorbers/emitters reveal similar shifts and attenuations under different incident angles.We believed that the switchable absorber/emitter demonstrates promising applications in the sensing technology and adaptive infrared system.Feifei Ren Jinxin Gu Hang Wei Gaoping Xu Jiupeng Zhao Shuliang Dou 2021Research2021,,1:0
