Astragaloside Ⅳ inhibits pathological functions of gastric cancer-associated fibroblasts显示文摘AIM To investigate the inhibitory effect of astragaloside IV on the pathological functions of cancer-associated fibroblasts, and to explore the underlying mechanism.METHODS Paired gastric normal fibroblast(GNF) and gastric cancer-associated fibroblast(GCAF) cultures were established from resected tissues. GCAFs were treated with vehicle control or different concentrations of astragaloside Ⅳ. Conditioned media were prepared from GNFs,GCAFs,control-treated GCAFs,and astragaloside Ⅳ-treated GCAFs,and used to culture BGC-823 human gastric cancer cells. Proliferation, migration and invasion capacities of BGC-823 cells were determined by MTT,wound healing, and Transwell invasion assays, respectively. The action mechanism of astragaloside Ⅳ was investigated by detecting the expression of micro RNAs and the expression and secretion of the oncogenic factor, macrophage colonystimulating factor(M-CSF),and the tumor suppressive factor, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2(TIMP2),in different groups of GCAFs. The expression of the oncogenic pluripotency factors SOX2 and NANOG in BGC-823 cells cultured with different conditioned media was also examined.RESULTS GCAFs displayed higher capacities to induce BGC-823 cell proliferation, migration, and invasion than GNFs(P < 0.01). Astragaloside Ⅳ treatment strongly inhibited the proliferation-,migration-and invasion-promoting capacities of GCAFs(P < 0.05 for 10 μmol/L,P < 0.01 for 20 μmol/L and 40 μmol/L). Compared with GNFs,GCAFs expressed a lower level of micro RNA-214(P < 0.01) and a higher level of micro RNA-301 a(P < 0.01). Astragaloside Ⅳ treatment significantly upregulated micro RNA-214 expression(P < 0.01) and down-regulated micro RNA-301 a expression(P < 0.01) in GCAFs. Reestablishing the micro RNA expression balance subsequently suppressed M-CSF production(P < 0.01) and secretion(P < 0.05),and elevated TIMP2 production(P < 0.01) and secretion(P < 0.05). Consequently, the ability of GCAFs to increase SOX2 and NANOG expression in BGC-823 cells was abolished by astragaloside Ⅳ.CONCLUSION Astragaloside Ⅳ can inhibit the pathological functions of GCAFs by correcting their dysregulation of micro RNA expression, and it is promisingly a potent therapeutic agent regulating tumor microenvironment. | Zhen-Fei Wang Da-Guang Ma Zhe Zhu Yong-Ping Mu Yong-Yan Yang Li Feng Hao Yang Jun-Qing Liang Yong-Yan Liu Li Liu Hai-Wen Lu | 2017 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,48: | 15
Highly sensitive wearable sensor based on a flexible multi-layer graphene film antenna显示文摘The use of advanced carbon nanomaterials for flexible antenna sensors has attracted great attention due to their outstanding electromechanical properties. However, carbon nanomaterial based composites have yet to overcome drawbacks, such as low conductivity and toughness. In this work, a flexible multi-layer graphene film(FGF) with a high conductivity of 10~6 S/m for antenna based wearable sensors is investigated. A 1.63 GHz FGF antenna sensor exhibits significantly high strain sensitivity of 9.8 for compressive bending and 9.36 for tensile bending, which is super than the copper antenna sensor(5.39 for compressive bending and 4.05 for tensile bending). Moreover, the FGF antenna sensor shows very good mechanical flexibility, reversible deformability and structure stability, and thus is well suited for applications like wearable devices and wireless strain sensing. | Danli Tang Qianlong Wang Zhe Wang Quantao Liu Bin Zhang Daping He Zhi Wu Shichun Mu | 2018 | Science Bulletin2018,63,9: | 7
Effect of tin addition on corrosion behavior of a low-alloy steel in simulated costal-industrial atmosphere显示文摘The effect of tin addition on the atmospheric corrosion behavior of a low-alloy steel in sim ulated coastalindustrial atm osphere has been investigated by indoor wet/dry cyclic corrosion test (CCT). The results indicate that tin addition can obviously make the steel substrate more resistant to atmospheric corrosion by suppressing the cathodic H^+ reduction reaction, and but tin addition is not of obvious beneficial effect when the steel is covered with a thicker rust layer during long-term corrosion process. The reason lies in the fact that the presence of un-reduced H^+ can lower the electrolyte pH value and lead to a loose and porous rust layer on tin-containing steel sample than that on tin-free steel sample. In addition, the 120 CCT cycles corrosion process of the two steels can be divided into three stages. Both the tin-free and tin-containing steels show an increasing corrosion rate during the initial corrosion stage and then exhibit a decreasing corrosion rate during the second and third corrosion stages. Moreover, tin addition makes the tin-containing steel rust layer have a higher amount of α-FeOOH and lower am ount of γ-FeOOH and Fe3O4 than the tin-free steel rust layer. | Bo Liu Xin Mu Ying Yang Long Hao Xueyong Ding Junhua Dong Zhe Zhang Huaxing Hou Wei Ke | 2019 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,7: | 6
Neural network-based matrix effect correction in EDXRF analysis显示文摘In this paper we discuss neural network-based matrix effect correction in energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF) analysis, with detailed algorithm to classify the samples. The method can correct the matrix effect effectively through classifying the samples automatically, and influence of X-ray absorption and enhancement by major elements of the samples is reduced.Experiments for the complex matrix effect correction in EDXRF analysis of samples in Pangang showed improved accuracy of the elemental analysis result. | TUO Xianguo CHENG Bo MU Keliang LI Zhe | 2008 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2008,19,5: | 4

A Large Chinese Text Dataset in the Wild显示文摘In this paper,we introduce a very large Chinese text dataset,in the wild. While optical character recognition(OCR)in document images is well studied and many commercial tools are available, the detection and recognition of text in natural images is still a challenging problem, especially for some more complicated character sets such as Chinese text.Lack of training data has always been a problem, especially for deep learning methods which require massive training data.In this paper,we provide details of a newly created dataset of Chinese text with about 1 million Chinese characters from 3850 unique ones annotated by experts in over 30 000 street view images. This is a challenging dataset with good diversity containing planar text, raised text, text under poor illumination, distant text, partially occluded text, etc. For each character, the annotation includes its underlying character, bounding box,and six attributes. The attributes indicate the charactcr's background complexity, appearance, style, etc.Besides the dataset,we give baseline results using state-of-the-art methods for tliree tasks:character recognition(top-1 accuracy of 80.5%),character detection(AP of 70.9%),and text line detection(AED of 22.1).The dataset, source code, and trained models are publicly available. | Tai-Ling Yuan Zhe Zhu Kun Xu Cheng-Jun Li Tai-Jiang Mu Shi-Min Hu | 2019 | Journal of Computer Science & Technology2019,34,3: | 3
Monte-Carlo simulation of cement neutron field distribution characteristics in PGNAA显示文摘The distribution characteristics of the neutron field in cement was simulated using the MCNP code to comply with the requirements of an online Prompt Gamma Neutron Activation Analysis system.Simulation results showed that the neutron relative flux proportion reduced with increasing cement thickness. When the cement thickness remains unchanged, the reduced proportion of thermal neutrons increases to a small extent, but the epithermal, intermediate, and fast neutrons will decrease according to the geometric progression.H element in the cement mainly affects the reduction of fast neutrons and other single-substance elements,e.g.,O,Ca,56Fe,Si,and Al.It also slows down the reduction of the fast neutrons via inelastic scattering.O contributes more than other elements in the reduction of fast neutrons.Changing the H content affects the thermal, epithermal, intermediate, and fast neutrons, while changing the Ca,Fe,and Si contents only influences the thermal, epithermal, and intermediate neutrons;hence, there is little effect on the reduction of fast neutrons. | YANG Jianbo YANG Yigang LI Yuanjing TUO Xianguo LI Zhe LIU Mingzhe CHENG Yi MU Keliang WANG Lei | 2012 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2012,23,6: | 3

Ultra-small platinum nanoparticles segregated by nickle sites for efficient ORR and HER processes显示文摘In the electrochemical process,Pt nanoparticles(NPs)in Pt-based catalysts usually agglomerate due to Oswald ripening or lack of restraint, ultimately resulting in reduction of the active sites and catalytic efficiency. How to uniformly disperse and firmly fix Pt NPs on carbon matrix with suitable particle size for catalysis is still a big challenge.Herein,to prevent the agglomeration and shedding of Pt NPs,Ni species is introduced and are evenly dispersed in the surface of carbon matrix in the form of Ni-N-C active sites(Ni ZIF-NC).The Ni sites can be used to anchor Pt NPs,and then effectively limit the further growth and agglomeration of Pt NPs during the reaction process.Compared with commercial Pt/C catalyst,Pt@Ni ZIF-NC,with ultralow Pt loading(7 wt%)and ideal particle size(2.3 nm),not only increases the active center, but also promotes the catalysis kinetics, greatly improving the ORR and HER catalytic activity.Under acidic conditions, its half-wave potential(0.902 V)is superior to commercial Pt/C(0.861 V),and the mass activity(0.38 A per mg Pt)at 0.9 V is 4.7 times that of Pt/C(0.08 A per mg Pt).Besides,it also shows outstanding HER performance. At 20 and 30 mV,its mass activity is even 2 and 6 times that of Pt/C,respectively.Whether it is under ORR or HER conditions,it still shows excellent durability. These undoubtedly indicate the realization of dual-functional catalysts with low-Pt and high-efficiency properties. | Lvhan Liang Huihui jin Huang Zhou Bingshuai Liu Chenxi Hu Ding Chen Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Hai-Wen Li Suli Liu Daping He Shichun Mu | 2022 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2: | 2

A new strategy to access Co/N co-doped carbon nanotubes as oxygen reduction reaction catalysts显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs),as one-dimensional nanomaterials, show great potential in energy conversion and storage due to their efficient electrical conductivity and mass transfer. However, the security risks,time-consuming and high cost of the preparation process hinder its further application. Here,we develop that a negative pressure rather than a following gas environment can promote the generation of cobalt and nitrogen co-doped CNTs(Co/N-CNTs) by using cobalt zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-67) as a precursor,in which the negative pressure plays a key role in adjusting the size of cobalt nanoparticles and stimulating the rearragement of carbon atoms for forming CNTs.Importantly, the obtained Co/N-CNTs,with high content of pyridinic nitrogen and abundant graphitized structure, exhibit superior catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) with half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of 0.85 V and durability in terms of the minimum current loss(2%) after the 30,000 s test. Our development provides a new pathway for large-scale and cost-effective preparation of metal-doped CNTs for various applications. | Bingshuai Liu Huang Zhou Huihui Jin Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Chenxi Hu Lvhan Liang Shichun Mu Daping He | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,1: | 1
Characteristics of timberline and treeline altitudinal distribution in Mt.Namjagbarwa and their geographical interpretation显示文摘Different types of vegetation patches are alternately and randomly distributed in a timberline ecotone where the upper limit is the treeline and the lower limit is the timberline. However, most studies on timberline/treeline altitudinal distributions have simplified timberline or treeline as continuous curves and disregarded the fuzziness of timberline/treeline and the randomness of different vegetation patch distributions in a timberline ecotone. To study the altitudinal distribution characteristics of timberline and treeline from the perspective of uncertainty theory,we constructed the timberline and treeline elevation cloud models in Mt.Namjagbarwa in east Himalayas.Subsequently,we established multiple linear regression models by using nine influencing factors, namely, aspect, slope, topographic relief, dryness index, average temperature in January and July, latitude, summit syndrome(represented by the vertical distance from the peak),and snow effect(represented by the nearest distance from the snow)as independent variables, and the elevations of timberline/treeline as dependent variables. Then we compared the contributions of the nine factors in timberline, treeline, and the core and peripheral areas of timberline and treeline. The results show that 1)the timberline/treeline elevation cloud model can represent the overall characteristics(especially the uncertainty)of the altitudinal distributions of the timberline/treeline well. The uncertainty of treeline’s altitudinal distribution is higher than that of timberline(entropy and hyper entropy:207.59 m and 70.36 m for treeline elevation cloud;entropy and hyper entropy:191.17 m and 50.13 m for timberline elevation cloud).2)The influence of climate and topography on timberline and treeline are similar. The average temperature in July has a significant negative correlation with the timberline/treeline elevation in Mt.Namjagbarwa, which is the most critical factor that affects timberline and treeline elevation, explaining the altitudinal distribution of 44.01%timberline and 46.74%treeline.However,the contributions of the nine factors in core and peripheral areas of timberline and treeline area are evidently different. | MU Hao-xiang HAN Fang ZHANG Bai-ping LIANG Tian WANG Zhi-yong WANG Zhe | 2022 | Journal of Mountain Science2022,19,10: | 1

DANMEL:A manually curated reference database for analyzing mobile genetic elements associated with bacterial drug resistance显示文摘Impact statement We have developed a manually curated online reference database,DANMEL(http://gffzzc938d18ffd334cb4h9cn095bnfc6v6vnc.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/danmel/),that addresses the lack of accurate dissection and annotation of the genetic structures of mobile genetic elements(MGEs)with genes for drug resistance.DANMEL contains accurately annotated and genetically dissected reference MGEs covering 5 categories and 135 subcategories/subfamilies of MGEs.Further,DANMEL provides a detailed guide on how to precisely annotate MGEs.DANMEL also provides SEARCH/BLAST functions to facilitate finding reference MGEs.Overall,DANMEL will aid researchers to conduct in-depth genetic analysis of sequenced bacterial MGEs with drug-resistance genes and further facilitate a better understanding of bacterial MGEs associated with drug resistance at a genomic level. | Peng Wang Xiaoyuan Jiang Kai Mu Ying Jing Zhe Yin Yujun Cui Cuidan Li Xinhua Luo Fangzhou Chen Ting Yu Zhichen Zhu Yansong Sun Fei Chen Dongsheng Zhou | 2022 | mLife2022,1,4: | 1
Monte Carlo simulation to key parameters of a compensated neutron logger显示文摘A compensated neutron logger (CNL) is designed by using Monte-Carlo simulation for lead shield thickness, near-to-far detector spacing range, source-to-detector spacing range, and detector's effective length. The calculated results indicate that the optimum conditions for CNL are 80-mm thick lead plus 1-cm thick LiOH shield in front of the near detector, 250 mm for the near-to-far detector distance (Δr), and the source-to-detector distance (r) of 90mm. Simultaneously, some conclusion also obtained here, near/far detector counting response ratio (R) increases with the effective length of detector, R increases with the porosity for oil and water sandstones, and the oil sandstone is a bit greater than water sandstone. | TUO Xianguo YANG Jianbo MU Keliang LI Zhe LONG Qiong | 2009 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2009,20,6: | 1
